Speaker 1:

Hello, this is Tanik.

Speaker 2:

And this is Sarah and you are listening to Music Elixir a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists in music. So hello everybody, welcome to another episode of Music Elixir. It's going to be sort of our usual. We don't know what we're doing right now. We're just going to fly by the seat of our pants.

Speaker 1:

Eh.

Speaker 2:

Well, because we didn't have we didn't actually have anything prepared for this. We didn't have any singles, we were covering Just gave me a visual with that I'm like eh, what? The flying by the seat of our pants? Yes, butts with wings. Oh, that's why I'm like what?

Speaker 1:

It's a rant on rambling everybody, but there's gonna things, little things, happen in the music industry. Yes, but yeah, it's a free for all today.

Speaker 2:

Well, I just I feel like the news has been kind of slow.

Speaker 1:

Which is good in a sense that there's not much drama, meaning you know negative things happening. Oh, there was one.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm sure you must have seen it. Uh, no, it had to do with your baby Opa.

Speaker 1:

What, what happened?

Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh no yeah.

Speaker 1:

Where did you find that? You didn't see it?

Speaker 2:

No, oh, it was all over Twitter. What it might have even been all over Instagram, I'm not sure. Okay, it was definitely all over Twitter what it had to do with. You know, on his Instagram he posts like songs he's listening to or whatever, right.

Speaker 1:

You know, recommendations for people. I probably like one of the songs because I like to listen to anything. He didn't listen to songs that I like, so okay, oh yeah, no, absolutely.

Speaker 2:

So what happened? It was Frank Ocean's Bad Religion, which is actually. I mean, the song came out like 11 years ago.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I liked it. Somebody's giving it, okay. Somebody having problems with that?

Speaker 2:

Yes, they are because of the reference to a God. I don't want us to get garbage for saying it on the podcast, but basically, if you know the song, he gets into a taxi. The driver says a prayer for him, basically, and a lot of people took it the wrong way. They think the bad religion is referring to Islam instead of the fact that he's dealing with an unrequited love, you know, in his relationship. And so it was this whole big back and forth Bruhaha on Twitter. I can't believe you missed it. Like you know, 50% of people were like protect Namjoon and 50% were like how could he do this?

Speaker 1:

Sometimes, when that happens, people get things out of proportion and maybe I just saw that and I'm like I just ignore it because it's going to be something that I'm going to be, in my words, say stupid, which of course it's stupid. So kind of good I didn't saw that and make myself mad about the situation, but yeah, that's stupid.

Speaker 2:

What are? The problem is that it's, I mean, sort of like in Christianity. You're not supposed to take the Lord's name in vain. So you know, yelling oh God is a bad thing.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we say that a lot and I'm happy, even on the, and that's why I refrain myself to OMG.

Speaker 2:

Right. So I understand where people are coming from, but the idea behind the song, the reference, has nothing to do with the actual religion. It's, again, it's about the love, love being a religion. It is Right, people do crazy things in love, just as people do crazy things in religion. But you know, or in the name of religion, I should say, and so I sort of understand what they're saying, but again they're taking it out of context, they're viewing it as the bad religion referring, you know I mean. So, like I said, there was all this back and forth stuff and I was like you know, again we talked about this. Don't listen to this.

Speaker 2:

No, exactly, if you don't like it, don't listen to the song, and just because he enjoys that music, you know, I mean he's a very thoughtful person, he's very much about provoking insight and debate and, you know, really looking at things, so I don't think he was just like trying to spread hate. He just was enjoying what he enjoys, yeah. So anyways yeah, that was a little big I was like like he can't catch a break.

Speaker 1:

No, he gets shit all the time I've been seeing snippets of when he went live. Then I'm looking at him like he's treading, like he's walking on eggshells. He's talking like he's walking on eggshells.

Speaker 2:

Well, he kind of is he, I would say, of all of them he gets the most shit. It's crazy, because he's he's just very well read, he's very well educated, he's very thoughtful and he likes to make you think. You know, he likes things that challenge the norm and and he's very empathetic.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he is an empath, and being an empath, you take everything by heart.

Speaker 2:

So it's just like I said, the poor guy gets so much crap.

Speaker 1:

And I don't know why it's okay, he's such a good soul.

Speaker 2:

You know he is really is doing his best to be a good person. That's why I love him. He is like the best, Like I just don't know how you missed the whole.

Speaker 1:

It was a good thing, because now I'm just mad. He's okay, he's gonna be fine, he's gonna Don't worry, baby, oh, but you're going to the military, you don't have to deal with this bullshit.

Speaker 2:

I don't interact with any of the debates and people going on about stuff online, but I do see it in some of it just makes my jaw drop.

Speaker 1:

You know it's like the explicit version of seven because haters are waiting for anything that happens to those who they hate and quickly start spreading the hate and it starts twisting people's words. And that's the situation If he is to still have many haters, you know, even though, of all the good that they have provided through the world, you know, not just only South Korea, but the world, and haters are still out there trying to still, you know, blow little things out of proportion just to be like, yeah, yeah, bts, you're good guys. Look at what they're doing. They're dissing religion. They're doing this, oh my God. Look at cookie, oh my God, with the F word everywhere. Oh my God, people, geez.

Speaker 2:

Well, what I learned from reading some of the comments and stuff going on is that other people have also posted that song as something you know. Hey, check this out. We really like this. So he's not the only person to have ever been like enjoy the song. I mean, jimmy Fallon had him on the show singing it years ago when it first came out. Nobody was bitching in Jimmy Fallon, or maybe they were, I don't know. It was a long time ago. It's just weird. He was not the only one to ever enjoy this song or like this song. So it's just, you know, a shame. So that was really like the biggest thing I saw happening, because it just the Twitter was blowing up with it.

Speaker 1:

X Twitter, x Twitter. I can't help it. As long as you say X Twitter, we're good. Okay, because that's why I'm calling it X Twitter.

Speaker 2:

It's like all the exit signs here in our state now how they've been renumbering them. I can't. Oh my God. Yes, I'm always like I don't know Whatever. Old exit eight. I was like it's something like 63 now.

Speaker 1:

What Exactly Like you?

Speaker 2:

know for Northampton this.

Speaker 1:

You know if you're coming from the South Northampton used to be exit 18 and 19. That's something else not to remember.

Speaker 2:

Exactly. You know, so I can't remember to say X. It'll be a while Twitter.

Speaker 1:

When I start hitting 91 again because I've been hitting the back roads to go to work, then I'll remember the numbers, Because right now I'm just like 18 and probably I probably don't say people because they're going to be like she told me, 18. And they're end up in. I think it's wholly out of what you go be. Oh, I don't know Lower numbers. No, I think it's in Springfield.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it could be way down. I don't even know which direction the numbers go.

Speaker 1:

I think it's supposed to start from the border of Connecticut.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's the mile markers. Yeah, yeah, I don't know how many miles, oh gosh, so anyways yes, okay. X Twitter, x Twitter, x Twitter. It was a flood of comments.

Speaker 1:

I don't know, my poor boy, my poor boy, he's, he's, he's, yeah. I think he at this time he just like whatever, but of course he'll, yeah, whatever. Okay.

Speaker 2:

So what other stuff? Like I said, it's been sort of slow. It's a lot, a lot more about just new promotions, new music coming out from various artists everywhere.

Speaker 1:

So something that we have found that about Johnny's or actually just about Johnny's an ex Johnny junior member oh, he got. She read to ski. I think I want to sit. The STU is always problematic but in the middle. Yeah, he left Johnny's to go to talkies agency. Another one, another one, so that's done that was revealed on August 16th, he was a Johnny junior, so he was never debuted it or anything like that. So I don't know much about this boy because, of course, being a junior you hardly get any spotlight.

Speaker 2:

You know well, you're usually backup dancing and all of that, so right.

Speaker 1:

But it's so funny because I think when this happened, or before this announcement happened, there has been more I have seen from Johnny's ex Twitter promoting the juniors. Oh, she called Johnny's Junior's channel and the juniors over here and the juniors are doing this and the juniors are doing that. And I'm like, oh, since when do you're getting more juniors exposed? And then this happened, this news happened of this Johnny's Junior leaving and saying I'm going to talkies because you're doing nothing for us. Well, this is me thinking if I'm that guy, I'll be like you know, the agency is not doing anything. I've been a junior. I don't know how long he's been a junior.

Speaker 2:

Well, I was not say how old is he, because do you remember, geez, it was maybe a couple years ago when they were talking about they were going to start. If you haven't joined a group and you haven't debuted in your 23, they're going to review whether or not you should stay Right, like whether they're going to hang on to you and all of that, and I'm wondering if that's part of why people are leaving. I don't even know if they're still going through with that.

Speaker 1:

If he does not look like a teenager, maybe he is in that 20 mark, you know early 20s.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, maybe not in the same yeah.

Speaker 1:

So hey, congratulations to him.

Speaker 2:

Definitely definitely.

Speaker 1:

So he is going to be to be? I don't know if he was. He's on his own, so I don't know if he's going to be a singer. I don't really know what techies entertainment companies are going to be. Is it going to be also developing actors as well?

Speaker 2:

I don't know Because he's got, obviously, ex Johnny's talent that have joined him Right. So we know they're all dancers and singers Right, and acting as well, Well, yes, and acting. So maybe it might be an all around entertainment group Because they have in fact started doing some music promotion. I know, like Miyake Ken, he's been prepping for doing some shows. I don't know if those have started to happen yet or not and we've seen Hirano show and you touching Gucci on Instagram at least. Right, you know doing stuff. Show was just doing some pottery that. So I don't know if they're working on getting them acting gigs right or if they're going to actually be doing some music, because it seems like they sort of joined as a unit Right, Even though they've got individual things. The fact that they were introduced, you know Miyake Ken was by himself got introduced.

Speaker 2:

They got introduced together. So I'm not sure what the dynamic is going to be there, because I haven't seen anything really for them about actual stuff.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so we'll see about them. Yeah, but let's not mention another thing going with to be because I will leave, like to leave that to the end.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

But I found this out, that one of our boys from Johnny's well not a boy anymore because he turned 30. Me Yamara has an Instagram.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Saw that okay, so I was like Tubes in that infinity pool he looks so cute, I know right.

Speaker 2:

He's adorable, he's sturdy and he's adorable.

Speaker 1:

I saw somebody made a reel of him. Like he never ages from, like Johnny's Junior pictures, until now, or until 20, 2020, I don't know 22 or something. They just took different pictures of him and it started to be like a collage. I'm like, wow, it's true. The only thing that has changed is his hair.

Speaker 2:

I know, and even that hasn't changed that right. I'm like what he did have the host club hair for a while, like everybody, everybody did.

Speaker 1:

That was like the the, the look. Yeah, I mean we. It was okay, we call it the host club hair because it was huge for host clubs, for host, you know, hosts, but it was supposed to be an emo look. Really yes, but the host made it differently. Like host made it differently with like pumping it more and some More, but I don't know a little more spiky yeah. Yeah. So Certain agency decided to also take that look for their boys.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know it was cute, though.

Speaker 1:

it was definitely cute yeah everybody looked very cute and bad boy, because you know that was.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

You don't have much in there, but who cares? Well, and we can get to see him being just adorable, just adorable. I want, I want another. Get ready with me video.

Speaker 2:

Look at my bedhead.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that is like girl when he said that Even I don't understand Japanese very well, but I understood that, that I'm like come on, dude police.

Speaker 2:

Whatever that had looked that good right.

Speaker 1:

They just like okay, I didn't look too bad, all right, I'm like yeah, I'm not nothing. Even if you say it's a bedhead, you still look just wonderful. So Fuma would say he looks beautiful running yeah even while he runs it looks beautiful, even for my job, like that bastard, like I have to work out like 20 hours today and go to salon and whatever and to have what I have, girl, because you know our full, my cool, mm-hmm. And let me tell you the kikuchi man, whoa.

Speaker 2:

I know right because his dad.

Speaker 1:

Hello, daddy yeah. I love that man, hey. Now he's a singer-songwriter as well, as we know. Yes, compose songs for Arashi.

Speaker 2:

They're right for one, arashi.

Speaker 1:

Oh, exactly so exactly he got paid, hopefully, hopefully, when. But hey, he's out there doing his music, he's doing his thing. He's on tour in Japan. He likes to go go to a soccer scene. Yeah, I follow him on Instagram so I know where he's at.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, no, I did you uh.

Speaker 1:

So anyways, let's see. I'm just looking around the news to see if I can find something else. No, I'm surprised you didn't say anything to me like look.

Speaker 2:

Well, I actually, I only spotted it, I think, today.

Speaker 1:

I just found out now.

Speaker 2:

So it was. It was earlier this morning when I was looking at stuff. I was like, wait a minute, what's what's Yamada doing by himself? So yeah, I only found out I don't know when it actually got started. Okay, because there's, you know, I mean, we follow so much stuff, like new things pop up and I miss it, because I know the timelines all screwed up and well, remember, like you said, we were like well, how come you don't put them on social media?

Speaker 1:

now that they are on, we're like, we can't give up.

Speaker 2:

That's the careful what you wish for. Yeah, we said that before. Damn, we asked for it, we got it.

Speaker 1:

No, I'm like what? What happened? I missed it. Oh my god, did I mean doing live? How come I don't have the pain?

Speaker 2:

Well, you know yeah, no, I think it's got to be fairly new. You know, the last couple of days maybe I can't believe I missed that much of Yamada, I know your boy, yeah, yeah, boy, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Well, even news have been opening their own Accounts on Twitter X.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I saw that because they're doing a tour.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, cut to. Shige Gaki just opened his X Twitter as well, as there was another member who had done that way before him, and we were talking about news. How come? You know, it's just not well pushed, you know, because they have amazing vocals, so I'm glad that something is happening, and apparently they've been around for 15 years, yeah, oh, and now is things are happening Well, at least outside Japan, you know.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, there was a lot, of, a lot of focus on other groups. News started out as, like, I think, nine members Yamapi was in there, rio Nishikado, and they both since left, left Johnny's, you know, left the group and left Johnny's all together, you know. So to go from nine to three I don't know if they're their fan base- Don't forget that other person.

Speaker 1:

Don't forget that other person.

Speaker 2:

Which other person?

Speaker 1:

Taka from one okay rock, okay, yes, yes. Taka from one okay rock he used to be a news.

Speaker 2:

Briefly, I think, because I don't remember him. I think it was. He was there before they debuted it. Maybe he was. Yeah, that might have been the problem, because I'm like, I really don't remember him. It wasn't. I wasn't as big a follower of news, but I was where you know as, as members dropped off, I Definitely notice.

Speaker 1:

Because you were not a she fan and everything are she, was it? Like I said, for you. It's like who were the other group.

Speaker 2:

Who's map and who's v6 tunnel vision.

Speaker 1:

People.

Speaker 2:

I knew v6 I've had. I've had some of their albums in Tokyo. I have some of their stuff.

Speaker 1:

I'm exaggerating.

Speaker 2:

And I saw shingo katori from smack hmm perform in New York, so you know I knew who they were. I just I Was focused on our she. I can help.

Speaker 1:

So apparently Yamadang our yam yam open his Instagram yesterday.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so we weren't so early in you Okay.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we're good.

Speaker 2:

We're good. It was had to catch up on the 10,000 things on the timeline to find it.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god yes.

Speaker 2:

Yes girl.

Speaker 1:

Yes, oh, my god, welcome to Instagram. Mr Yam Yam. Yeah, he's like, who is yam yam? That's not me Giving us ass. Oh, speaking of yam yam, whew, there's this picture of him with. This is under their hey say, john account. Okay, there's a picture of him wearing this shirt, glass, sunglasses. That I was like hello daddy. I Was like, but it was. His attitude was different too, because you'll be seeing, like you know, hi, you know the cutesy, exactly. No, this is like yami am in charge. This is this is mr Yamada son. Yamada son was there like telling people off or just saying what needs to be done? It's just a poise and the way he was just talking I'm like whoa, I've never seen this side of yami am. That's what that's, yamada son. If I can find the pic, does gotta is has to be in the AC jump account. I Was impressed, impressed by yami am.

Speaker 2:

I watched. I watched a haystack jump live, I think. Last week I was at work and I got the little doodly-doo you did, I don't know, some lakefront in a little lodge and Some are cocktails I they probably weren't real alcohol, but you know, yeah, and everybody was wearing their cool shades and different.

Speaker 1:

You know, I think shirts and okay, so that is has intact.

Speaker 2:

That's where the Instagram Okay so that's probably where the photo is from. Yes, okay, they were. Just they were having so much fun. I didn't really. I love that Sure, what's it?

Speaker 1:

like white with, like this black silhouette. Yes, yes, white. Yes, that's the shirt I'm talking about. Oh, yeah, and he's wearing those shades, mm-hmm. But okay, I gotta find that picture, cuz I was like Yami am yas. If I can find, it's gonna be a while. He says jump. So, yes, it's on Instagram. It was on July 31st. It's a white. It look, they look. It looks like a cabana shirt white with the silhouette of palm trees, and he's wearing these sunglasses. And he just pointed out telling people what to do. You look so good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's, that's from the, the live they did oh. So seeing him move around in that outfit too. Just was like.

Speaker 1:

It's gotta be that shirt's giving attitude of like command. Cabana man, cabana man, cabana boys were something else. My cabana boy, good man, a man.

Speaker 2:

Man serve me some fruity cocktails. I'm sure it would come with sass, that's for sure. Oh yeah, just look at him in that picture.

Speaker 1:

Oh, oh yes well, another picture that he's like showing off his muscles. Oh yeah, gun show Yamada. That was a posted on July 11th.

Speaker 2:

No, I remember, when that one went up I saw I was like oh my yeah really yes, and he's there with the Nakajima, whoa yes, which I like him.

Speaker 1:

I like him because he's tall but he's cute too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he is well, and I like the I heart jump shirt that he's got on there. Yeah, that's a cool shirt.

Speaker 1:

I like it, even though it's not a short sleeve, but it looks good short sleeve too.

Speaker 2:

I don't, I just I like the shirt.

Speaker 1:

It's cool Like he re-styled it to be like a muscle shirt. It looks really nice. Yes, indeed. But uh, yeah it's a cool shirt Both of them, because you also, mr Nakajima is like yeah popping out of that.

Speaker 2:

Well, I think I remember that photo shoot. Everybody's got like a different hey say jump t-shirt, Like I don't know if they were a series of different concert shirts, but it's cool. Or maybe they had them custom made for them, who knows.

Speaker 1:

But no, this is, they're showing off their merch and it looks really nice.

Speaker 2:

Yes, absolutely, really, really nice.

Speaker 1:

Thank you guys. I know everybody has something different.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what was cool about. I was like, oh, look at all the different shirts.

Speaker 1:

Awesome and we love our t-shirts. I know that I'm like man I can't get any.

Speaker 2:

I know right, I would so buy that shirt.

Speaker 1:

I can't get any. I cannot even wear them either.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, the new job. You can't, can't wear them. Well, no, also the size, oh, oh, oh, from there. Well, you can get, but they do have them. I've gotten, some Are those? Yes, I have the 24 hour television ones anyways, oh, okay.

Speaker 1:

I don't know about Johnny's merch.

Speaker 2:

Anyways, well, I'm sure there, I'm sure there is, but I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of Johnny's merch, uh huh. So recently they opened one in Nagoya, and I forgot the other town. But to inaugurate the opening of the Nagoya site, it was my children's sexy sound. Yeah, they did a little fire, live. They were there like, oh, look at the pictures. And they were, like you know, they had large cutouts of them in acrylic. Oh, wow, not that, no, not the cardboard, not the cheap, wow, acrylic, which I'm like, yes, because it's the best for my boys. And they were there to you know, take, you know, signing it. And you know what? Now I'm like, oh my God, yes, that is so cool. So, of course, being the inauguration of that location, fans were outside, oh, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So once in a while you hear going, the fans are like they had to cut off the video because they got sold out. I mean, of course, you know, for the boys were there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're already excited the shops opening. And then to find out, just to know exactly the clerks that were in the store.

Speaker 1:

They were, oh my God, there were like three ladies. They're like, oh my God, we got sexy sound there. Oh my God, I will be a wreck.

Speaker 2:

I will be a wreck. I just the grin on my face like yes. Ear to ear smile like well, this is a thing, what I could.

Speaker 1:

I mean their faces were blurred, but I could tell they were wearing masks, so that was good If I could hide my face.

Speaker 2:

So you know well, the eyes would tell, though, oh yeah, I'll be crying my eyes out.

Speaker 1:

He found me wearing mascara. Who be a mess. Who be like that? Who's wrong with that lady? Oh, my, what if it's Kanto? He'll be like are you okay here, take it. Oh, he will be taking care of you and I'll be dying because he is that thoughtful. Have you seen him taking care of his co-coastar or whoever he's with, like a female co-star? He's a gentleman.

Speaker 2:

Oh, my goodness.

Speaker 1:

Like he helps them now. Helps them, ushers them to the stairs, ushers them to the podium. I'm like, oh my goodness, my boy, Such good manners, oh, such a gentleman. You know, he's like he doesn't go first either, he just lets her first but also grabs her high hand. So for balance, like, oh my God, I just love him so much when he does that. I'm like, yes, yes, more of that, please. Can we have more people like him?

Speaker 2:

Definitely yeah, we need more like him.

Speaker 1:

Oh, oh, my God, crying because he is such a good boy, anyway, so, yes, so that's what's going on, anything else? Well, I'm always going on with Kpop. Lately, I haven't heard anything except like V being like number one everywhere.

Speaker 2:

I know his videos are at the top. His songs, both of them, are in the top 20. One of them, you know it depends on which ranking site you're looking at. So some places he's currently number one, some he's, you know, number three, number five, but he's definitely he's making his mark with his own unique style and sound. I love his voice, oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

No, I always, have Always have Amazing when he does it the solo. You know their solo songs, I love them all, but his is so, oh, yes.

Speaker 2:

Well, because he's he's worked very hard to like have a really good range. Yes, you know. So it's, it's cool. Actually, I recently saw what they did a cover of Cold Place Fix you. Oh, really, yeah, it was during pandemic. I just saw it posted somewhere recently in the harmonies between all of them, because they'd have the rap line singing along with the vocal line. And I was like blown away when V and J-Hope sang together, I got chills. I was like wow, whoa, what a combo, because V was actually singing higher Then he normally does, you know, so it was, it was just incredible and Jin and Suga were really good together, I mean. But the whole thing, it's, it's pretty amazing. Check it out, okay, if you haven't seen it yeah, no, I have not. It's sort of haunting. You're like whoa what?

Speaker 1:

happened, yeah, but you know, bts have amazing vocals, they all do, even my baby, Obam being a rapper, he still does.

Speaker 2:

Suga too. Yeah, Well, that's the thing is, all of them were singing, not rapping, singing along, and so they were pairing them up, you know, like Jim and RM, for a minute, RM and Jin V and J-Hope, Jin and Suga. You know, I mean, it was just it's. It's really the way they arranged. It was just incredible. So it it did. I got chills, though.

Speaker 1:

That's like, oh my God, oh one thing that is not going to be happening in New York.

Speaker 2:

KCON. Oh really, they're not going to do New York anymore.

Speaker 1:

No, the only US did you go to be seen as the LA which started yesterday?

Speaker 2:

I was going to say yeah, hasn't it already been going? It started yesterday. Yeah, Stray kids are there and Mon's X is there.

Speaker 1:

Yep, it's, it's, yeah. So they're like really pushing it in other social medias, not much on Twitter X, but yeah, that happened, oh, oh. So now that I said that the only thing that's happening in is New York is K-Crazy Mon's shown you in, young One is going to be there, the unit and four and three other acts.

Speaker 2:

I wonder why they're not going to. I mean, maybe because New York is tough and, as far as you know, traffic wise, like crowd wise.

Speaker 1:

Well, this thing they are. They have not sold out, it sounds. They're so desperate to get more tickets that, um, I got this app that I play the puzzle games that we play on our apps, because when it's free they send, they pop up ads. There was an ad that popped for that. I'm like what?

Speaker 2:

Is that still happening? So the one in New York, you mean it's in New York. Yeah, the K-Crazy.

Speaker 1:

It's called K-Crazy Something.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, huh, I never heard of this and I'm like I'm still wondering why K-Con's not coming to New York. Yeah, I don't know it's every time we've gone it's. It is kind of tough getting around getting to and from the it's. It's hard. I've never been to LA, so I don't know exactly what it's like out there.

Speaker 1:

K-Con. Uh, K-Con is, birth is LA. They started in LA, Um, so of course there it's going to be easy earth in LA? Yeah, but when they say oh, k-con in New York, it was in Jersey.

Speaker 2:

Well, no, there was one year. It was in New York, in New York, yeah.

Speaker 1:

That was the year that we went, but the other one, what they call it New York, it was in Jersey, and I'm like who? I did the same same people with BTS. Hey, New York, who are you freaking kidding? It's Jersey, Jersey, Call it how it is In New Jersey. So I don't know what is why. How come there's no K-Con in New York? Because they were planning it before pandemic to be in New York again.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, it's the East Coast getting the shaft again, not just Boston now. Now, now it's New York's getting shafted, damn it.

Speaker 1:

I'm telling you, come to Boston, come to Boston. I don't know what you're doing. So who, who, who? Maybe this event passed. But yeah, I was like I show family and I'm like, hey, and they're like, yeah, that's not good. You know, they were even saying, yeah, that's not good, something not right with that. But yeah, the event. Maybe it's too much money I didn't look into it much but maybe the tickets are too much for the, for the artists.

Speaker 2:

that are going to be in there then, or maybe people are remembering what happened, the shit show we went to back in 2019. Oh my god, k expo.

Speaker 1:

I wonder if this is K expo with a different name like rebranding themselves. That could be maybe it was the same. Oh, I didn't look into that, but I was like, oh no, that's just, you know, bad, really bad. Uh, let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see. I'm trying to see if I can find anything. And K related people getting married.

Speaker 2:

People were having children, but congratulations like I said, it's been a little slow out there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, rice is coming out soon. New group from SM. So anything else well the one that we live into the end, because we are so excited Since the whole debut and everything that has happened for this group, which you know a lot of fans are like you're, how come you're not doing anything for these boys? And the boys said we're living, you Moving on, we're moving on, going to a brand new company and it's to be's new debut group.

Speaker 2:

IMP. Yes, they were like we're cruising on out of here.

Speaker 1:

So they have ditched the name impactors Gun to to be and they're called IMP and we are so excited for this debut. Yes, oh, my goodness, since, actually since we uh, uh the whole teasers that uh to be was posting out, they're like who's gonna be next?

Speaker 2:

It's gotta be impactors.

Speaker 1:

Impactors because they left. We knew very well they left the company. They left Johnny's previous yeah and then, of course, the actual Announcements that to be have been posting now was Miyaki Ken, then it was, of course, uh, I beloved, you know, sho Hirano a Jin and Kuta Jin Kujii, of course. So we're like, well, who's gonna be next? Because, uh, the last Actually group which we were, so I might jaw drop when that announcement that Johnny said that impactors.

Speaker 1:

Left the company, not just only a couple of the whole group, that I'm like what? Even you know, johnny, fans were like OMG, omg, everybody's like whoa, next, what's going on? And then, of course, we're like is it going to be to me? And yes, we were so happy. Of course, yeah, they have their TikTok, they have an instagram, they have a youtube, they have an x twit, twitter, x twitter. And, of course, august 18th, they drop their single Cruisin On streaming platforms. It's on spotify, it's on spotify. Apple music is Out there for the world to hear and stream. As much as they won. We don't have to wait for a damn city. Yay, we don't have to stream the stupid youtube, which I don't. I mean.

Speaker 2:

No, youtube is okay, but Well, no, it's like it's actually available and we can, exactly, can grab it and listen exactly because the thing with youtube music you have to pay for that.

Speaker 1:

I'm sorry. You know I have a budget, you know, yeah, exactly, and I mean I can't pay for youtube music. As well, as you know, I I'm gonna say I do have spotify. I used to have apple music, but then I let go it. Spotify for me was about easier for me to use, right then apple music. So I let go apple music and I'm all about Things spotify, even though they're they're shitty to the pay off, but anyways, I like their features, is easy to use. Youtube music it's a lot more money. I know I can and I don't know how it's not as easy. I don't know. I don't have youtube music because I just don't.

Speaker 2:

It's super. I don't have a do either, but there's plenty of people posting stuff and you can listen to just the music anyways, but yeah, but no cruising is on on spotify. It's already got about 42,000 downloads, you know listening, and they got like 13,000 people following them as a group on spotify. Yes their youtube video has already surpassed a million views, so two is it two million?

Speaker 2:

No, it's not. I said it's. It's surpassed a million, it's a million plus. I haven't looked recently, but okay, you know where it's at at this moment, but girl they already just came out a million.

Speaker 1:

Oh, they've 2.2 million Wow.

Speaker 2:

Well, I was going on what I looked at earlier.

Speaker 1:

Well, I'm looking at it now, right now, and it's like 2.2 million.

Speaker 2:

Wow, yeah in two days. So it is wow in two days, yeah, yeah for a basically brand new group. Yes, that's Mighty impressive. Yes.

Speaker 1:

I am so happy for this group.

Speaker 2:

I am so happy for to be, and obviously you've checked out the song right.

Speaker 1:

Of course, hello, I played it on. Okay, asia Yep People are very appreciative.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I couldn't wait.

Speaker 1:

I'm like yes, it's dropping on a Friday you know what I'm gonna be doing Saturday morning, yeah. Yes, yes.

Speaker 2:

I'm so happy, but we're not gonna talk about too much right now, cuz no, we'll be talking about.

Speaker 1:

We'll save that for we are doing a deep dive On the song and we're gonna be talking about this on a one of our singles episode, yes, on our next, next singles episode.

Speaker 2:

That we do. We got to find some more yes, new music, but we are so happy about this. Definitely, if you want to check it out yourselves ahead of time, mm-hmm, so then you know what we're talking about, mm-hmm, and then you can respond and give your input to us on it.

Speaker 1:

Later.

Speaker 2:

yes, yes, yes, but we're very excited about it's excited, it's awesome. I I pretty much put it on loop and listen to it. The whole drive over here, pulled into the gas station with it blasting, people are like.

Speaker 1:

What? Which is awesome. So, oh, so happy for them, so happy for them, so happy for Takizawa too, because he this is what he wanted.

Speaker 2:

Right, what he wanted. Don't, don't sit on it, put them out there. Get them out there now. You know, you know it's yeah, fans.

Speaker 1:

These fans were like so ready for it, they were so ready for this. It's crazy, and I have seen that. Okay, so just a few that I did. The half follow me are also a snow babies, so of course the snow babies know about impactors, so even they still backing up, you know, snowman of course now, with the new, you know Impactors going to you know IMP, they're like, oh, we're also following.

Speaker 1:

I'm being, we're so happy for them. So I'm like, yay, that's what I want to see. You don't have to be only just devoted to just one company Musics for everybody. So I'm happy for these. You know these fans.

Speaker 2:

Well it's, yeah, I mean you're there to support the artists, not the company. Exactly, you know, unfortunately, the company benefits when you're supporting the artist. But but right, it's about the music and the people. And Well, the thing is to, the juniors used to have a whole concert dedicated to them, showing off their talents and certain people doing little solo bits and dance performances. That's where all of these guys start. Are she started their can Johnny eight cartoon, all of them and these juniors have followers, even if they're not in a group, even if they haven't debuted. They've got people who you know I have Got my hands on old Johnny's junior Uchi was of Ono and of Mats June.

Speaker 2:

So I mean, like, these guys have had fans for ages now, waiting for something to happen with them and, yeah, it was high time they got out of the juniors and got to be Promoted and in debut and have their music heard and they're entered there. Well, their style of entertaining viewed by people, you know this is I think that's what tacky was trying, wanted to do in Johnny's. He wanted to be like, just get it out there. Yeah, why are you sitting on it? We never understand why people company sit on groups that have so much potential. Like what are you waiting for some magic you know ball to tell you oh, today's the day that they're gonna do really well, mm-hmm, just do it, get them out there. You know, the worst that happens is they flopping. You have to rework some things.

Speaker 1:

I mean, you know if the the fans will tell you. You know, like you said, if they're juniors and Already fans know how they are, their talent there. You know how their popularity, get them out there. You know if they already have a following, get them out there. You will know if somebody does not have a following, then do not get them out there. You know like or rethink or think of a different talent. What? What are the talent do they have?

Speaker 2:

besides whatever you're trying to showcase, right or or maybe this combo is not working, but this combo could work Exactly. You know you just gotta think a little bigger here.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, so I'm happy. Yes, definitely happy and they. But, like I said, the other thing that I'm very happy is that some of the Snowbabies are also backing them up, you know, because it's like you were with snowman and we loved you there and now we love you still. You know, it's not like some people who I have seen. We're like oh, you were Johnny's and now you left to the other company like Poo-Pooing you I seen that which is some like well, you know who I'm talking about.

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna say yeah, yeah, no, I do, so I'm like. Huh, you know what I mean, what it? Where is your allegiance to the, the artist or the company exactly? I mean that's you got to follow the talent? I understand work.

Speaker 1:

Because your members no longer with that company went to the other one because it's your favorite member. Fine, that's, that's fine, that's cool, that's what you, who you're following, but don't pull pull that person because they left the company to go to another one that does this no, well, there, you know, the artists have to look out for their own best interests exactly.

Speaker 2:

And so, again, that's what's happening is, if you're, if you've been just doing in this pot of talent for years, mm-hmm, and nobody's doing anything to help you out, you got to make a move for yourself, you know, and we sent artists in the kpop world doing that. They're like I'm getting no help, no promotion from you. I'm going to a different company or different production.

Speaker 2:

You know, so you just when you're an artist, you want people to know who you are. Yeah, you got to look out for yourself, basically well, that's the thing you know.

Speaker 1:

You don't go into the entertainment company just to just sit there and just say I'm so-and-so entertainment company and then not be known.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I just like using the practice rooms.

Speaker 1:

You know, that's not what it's about right, I like the free concerts and me in the back and listen to music, you know, and Exactly some of these kids are like, hey, you're not giving me what I want. I'm moving on, you know, and I applaud that, you know for them.

Speaker 2:

You know, moving on to another company, I'm moving on, it's a tough thing to do, because moving to a new company doesn't guarantee anything. No you know, you still got to work and you still got to prove yourself, but you guys start all over again, right? We just wish everybody luck with these new changes and these new Adventures that they're starting so awesome.

Speaker 1:

Can come to us, please, imp. Please come to Boston.

Speaker 1:

Yeah specifically Boston. Forget New York. New York, what I'm not sure what I'm talking about. New York is so done. Nobody wants to go to New York. Listen that kid that. What is it that? Crazy, whatever, like hey, are crazy, they can't get crazy, nobody's. They're not selling, even though they have really good artists. And Because nobody wants to go to New York, cuz it's so done, go to Boston. It's new got history. New in history. I Don't know. I gotta sell out our time. We got a lot of town, I know well gotta find a way.

Speaker 2:

Boston always gets the shaft, though, so we'll see. But yeah, definitely Boston, boston.

Speaker 1:

Boston.

Speaker 2:

BOS.

Speaker 1:

You know what all the CDs close to us and it has pretty good. You know arenas and whatnot.

Speaker 2:

Hartford, connecticut, yes that was another hard for it. Yeah, there's closer actually.

Speaker 1:

I know I Boston. Well, I'm gonna see in Boston but it's a long right. But this is closer. Yeah, that's hard for Connecticut.

Speaker 2:

Yes, we do have, and there's a couple options for you.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, boston, hartford, yes, Boston, hartford, even though I think we had Bruno Mars in Springfield.

Speaker 2:

Oh, the MGM. Yes, yeah, there you go. Springfield, massachusetts. We got a specified.

Speaker 1:

I know there's a.

Speaker 2:

Springfield in like every state.

Speaker 1:

I know, but I always think like no, springfield, massachusetts, but look at this Dreamcatcher went to Reading, pennsylvania, reading Pennsylvania's a shit show. I lived here. Well, I lived in the outside of reading, so I know it is. So when I saw that, I'm like what Dang, why is Dreamcatcher there? No, let him go off of Massachusetts. At least Springfield, this Massachusetts, is better. My opinion, oh my goodness. So yeah. So when I saw that, I was like what?

Speaker 2:

No anyway.

Speaker 1:

So, yes, throwing it out there. You know, come to Boston If that feels familiar to you. You also have Hartford, connecticut, and Springfield, massachusetts. We can do the MGM Springfield, massachusetts, right, definitely, there's the MGM Boston as well. Just, you know another bigger venue with that. You know nice Audio and whatever. I forgot what arena is in Connecticut? I forgot, oh, I think they do have one. Right, begins with an R.

Speaker 2:

They might all renamed it, I think, a wrenchler. It used to be Years ago wrenchler, the TD garden in Boston.

Speaker 1:

Yes, well, hello, the patch mode is gonna be there, girl, we gotta get tickets.

Speaker 2:

Well, and I know well the Bushnell, I think, is small, but Bushnell Theater is very well known in Connecticut. The garden is pretty good. Yeah, yeah, it is definitely, and it's a classic.

Speaker 1:

Oh, there's one in Wooster. Oh yes, pretty good venue. I went to see the film Philharmonic, not Philharmonics.

Speaker 2:

Well, it used to just be Wooster centrum and I used that's where we had to go for concerts a lot of times, and it's a nice venue it is. It's very nice.

Speaker 1:

It's a very nice.

Speaker 2:

They improved it a lot.

Speaker 1:

What is that other one that we were gonna see, monster expert? Then we got canceled Ghana Serena in Boston. That looked like a really good venue.

Speaker 2:

It is, it's awesome.

Speaker 1:

Listen to us people. We're giving you venues. We know these venues. We know these venues. These are good. Have good audio.

Speaker 2:

Come on yeah definitely, we're telling you. And if it's summer, go to the Pavilion on the harbor in Boston. That's a really nice venue. Which one we saw a pet shop boys in New Order I put small. But yes, it's small, but it's nice for summer. It's a nice venue to go to because it's right on the water as long as it doesn't have thunderstorm.

Speaker 1:

I know, oh, my god girl.

Speaker 2:

Even Mansfield used to be great woods. I don't know what it is now. X.

Speaker 1:

That's like the theater or something. Yes, yes.

Speaker 2:

I mean we got. We got plenty of venues here that aren't even necessarily in the city, because the city, you know, boston, navigating can sometimes be difficult, so go outside the city. The old great woods, gillette stadium neither of them are called that. Now I just don't know what their new names.

Speaker 1:

I think is the Verizon Manfee theater where. Mansfield.

Speaker 2:

Oh, they changed it again. Yeah, I just call them what they originally were, cuz that's the only way I'll know.

Speaker 1:

Is the true Massachusetts when she's calling great. Well, that's what I heard. If you call me a great woods, it's just because you're from your math hole.

Speaker 2:

Yes, indeed. Well, it's like it's always Boston guy. When people are like TD garden, I'm like what, oh, boston garden.

Speaker 1:

I know it by bought that only TD garden. Yeah, I never heard Boston garden.

Speaker 2:

No, it was. It was Boston garden forever, sort of like Madison Square Garden in New York. Yeah, it's it, boston garden, always gonna be that, but I think in this G is always been Madison right.

Speaker 1:

Yes, it has. Okay, I think people have be like no, keep it Madison, yeah, it hasn't been bought up by someone, I guess.

Speaker 2:

Yeah okay, they've maintained their name.

Speaker 1:

So that's our ransom rambling today. Yes, thank you for listening to this music elixir episode crazy as usual. Please rate, review and share, share, share. Give us five stars. Yeah, we love constellations. And we didn't do any astrology today.

Speaker 2:

I know we didn't know, I didn't have any, that's.

Speaker 1:

No, we're big, it's so big. Leo energy, mmm, this week. Fire huge Leo energy this week. And yeah, that's it Okay. So until next time, bye, bye, johnny.
