OK ASIA

Speaker 1:

Hello, this is Tannick.

Speaker 2:

And this is Sarah and you are listening to Music Elixir a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists in music. Hello everybody, welcome to another episode of Music Elixir. It's going to be a Rance and Ramblings with me, sarah, and Da da, da, da, da, da da.

Speaker 1:

DJ Pannick.

Speaker 2:

You love singing our theme song or our theme music. I should say yes, love it.

Speaker 1:

I mean, why not we picked that? I know?

Speaker 2:

How long did that take us to? We were like oh man.

Speaker 1:

We listened to a few songs, but that one we went back to it so many times this is so much our vibe.

Speaker 2:

This is so much our vibe.

Speaker 1:

Definitely. So I hope you guys enjoy it too. I hope when you hear it you're like oh, it's Music, elixir, did you pay for it? Oh my God. So hopefully you know what you think when you hear it.

Speaker 2:

Anyway, like Sarah said, it's a Rance and Rambling, so you know anything goes.

Speaker 1:

Oh yes.

Speaker 2:

That, oh yes, sounds like you already have something in mind.

Speaker 1:

Oh, yes, I have taken notes on this one. Oh, really Well you know, big things happened this week Just to. I want to give a date stamp on this episode. When we are recording, Today is October 21st and this week, I mean, a lot of things have been revealed and changed, but since those are bigger news, I'll prefer to talk about those later in the episode. So do you have? I have a few news from the K-pop industry. How about you Do?

Speaker 2:

you, I don't have a whole lot of news.

Speaker 1:

There's one that came out, that Monster X, he on one have announced his military enlistment. He is going to the military as of November 14th. He's the last one, right? Yes, yes. So he wrote a heartfelt letter to Mom Bebes, you know. But then he said that his discharge date is going to be in May 13th.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I wonder if he's one of the people who does just the civil servant kind of like he's not active duty, going to the training facility, but that he's been doing other stuff, like what Wano was doing and what Suga is going to be doing. They're not going to be in active duty, they're working sort of office jobs and whatnot, because of a medical condition or some sort of they've been able to serve in a different way.

Speaker 2:

So serve in a different capacity, so I wonder if he may have already been doing stuff in relation to that.

Speaker 1:

So that makes sense. Why him and Shownu have this unit? Because the other ones, the other members, are going to be there. They're going to, I think two of them no, or three of them are going to be discharged in 2025.

Speaker 2:

And maybe the rest in 2024 or later around the fall Cause it's just Ju-Honey Kiyun and I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I can never remember his name?

Speaker 2:

No, I can never remember his name, minhyuk. Who's the third one? Yes, oh, okay, but anyway, so those three cause all right. Minhyuk went like earlier this year, much earlier than Ju-Honey, than Kiyun.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So they're all yeah, probably the end of 2024. They'll be getting out Right Shownu already served Are going to be 2025.

Speaker 1:

So I don't know if which ones are in, but there's there's two of the members who are there for two years, completely Okay. So that's why I'm like what's with this weird, you know out? You know, I thought everybody had to do two years, but I guess not. Well, like you said, some, because of medical conditions, they cannot do the two years Right.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know what, though? In Monsta X News I saw a whole thing Shownu and Yongwon. They did a photo shoot book in New York city. When was that? What the hell? I'm looking at some of the pictures. I was like we've been there, we hang out in that spot. It's down by one of the stores we like, and I was like that's a, it's a little park. I'm not going to say the name, cause I don't want everybody going there.

Speaker 2:

But it's a little park down by some of the I'll probably be like, yeah, Well, I'm sure they say where it is in the photo book anyway. But I was just like when were they in New York film like shooting this? Because, dang it.

Speaker 1:

We were down there. Hello, now that you said that one of the Naniwa Danchi boys was in Boston, what Girl you didn't know about this? No, oh, he was at a Red Sox game. Oh my God, I'm like I don't even follow the Red Sox. If I do, I could have probably seen him. Look at me. He's like I enjoy Boston and I try to speak English. I'm like, oh my God, he was little boo from Naniwa over there. Oh my God.

Speaker 2:

That's insane. I'm like Boston, boston.

Speaker 1:

I'm like when was he here? Of course, they tell you the fact after, after. Oh, yeah, of course, because you know, I think it was on a when did he mention it? He was already in Japan. Oh, I went to Boston for this man. I'm like what?

Speaker 2:

No man so yes, well, you know, so many of like Asian artists do come over, especially to New York to shoot photo albums, because Yamapie had done one a few years ago. He's always over here, yeah, he is, but it was. He was specifically in New York and then he went out West and did Route 66. And I mean a lot of them go to Las Vegas. Yep Arashi was there years ago when they were babies. Well, and it's funny because actually at the time I was out in Arizona, I was in the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas Actually I did go down into Las Vegas as well we saw a whole huge I mean huge had to be like a hundred young boys all walking around the Grand Canyon like together, and I was like what is this? Like a school trip or something? And looking back on it now I'm like I think that was a bunch of all the little you know youngsters training, guys over here on a, on a vacation, having a good.

Speaker 2:

I probably walked by Irish.

Speaker 1:

Who knows you? Probably, maybe Ono brushed you and you didn't even knew about it. You're like, oh, look at that little peep, and then it turned out to be Ono. You're like, oh my god, if you ever go back and like, if your memory can really go back and just try to picture the their faces. I know and they look at really and be like, oh, my goodness, that was you know, that was Ono or that was you, but that was Iline and Ornino, or maybe the members from Cattune too, you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, well, exactly, kanjani, all of them oh my good I could have been seeing the guys from Stones Snowman you know what I mean it was like, but it was definitely.

Speaker 1:

I was, like you know, a school trip from Japan, but it was all boys and there were a lot of them, so it was just fun who knows, who knows, they were all juniors. They all come over here.

Speaker 1:

But you know they don't announce when they're coming over, so you don't want fans to be over there and like ruining everything, you know wouldn't ruin everything. Well, now with. Well, that time there was a smartphone. So I mean, yeah, that's that wouldn't very true, but still the people be on the phone like, hey, but I get over here, get the next fight to.

Speaker 2:

Vegas for this place. You know, I'll have to look through my pictures and see if I got. Oh my god that'd be funny.

Speaker 1:

You're like looking for the magnifying glass, see if you can see their faces is this, is this, is this, is this? Who's this kid? Do I know him? Oh, my goodness, um man, but but yeah, but more, and so you know more to that later on. That was just a quickie, yeah, just a quickie, um, but on October 18th was reported that EXO's Dio will be leaving SM Entertainment. Oh, really, yeah, there's.

Speaker 2:

So there's things going on with EXO well, I was gonna say a couple of two or three others have already moved out of the entertainment group Dio, previously Dio is one of the ones that have like the pristine voice, like his voice is amazing.

Speaker 1:

So he's gonna be joining a new agency established by his longtime manager, who he's actually. This manager and him they've been working since he was his debut, oh wow. So you know he's like I'm just going with you because you know, like I said, you always got my back. You know, I trust you, you know, yeah, anyway, so I will follow, you know, and Dio is one of these are. These are groups that are like late 20s, 30s I don't know how old Dio is now, but I mean you know this is the thing, these groups. I mean we love for our groups to stay together forever, but I mean you gotta remember they cannot be in a group forever you know, they have future plans to want something different in their careers right everybody grows and changes and some groups do stay together and some don't, some can't.

Speaker 2:

You've always got differences of opinion exactly and different vision of where you want the group to go.

Speaker 1:

So you know um, but Dio wants to do more acting, you know. So that's like you know. Yeah, I like my singing, but I want to pursue like more acting. So yeah, that's go for it. You know, and he has done a few few, a lot of dramas, you know, and movies, and I wish him well and good luck to him. Definitely, go forward, go forward, dio. I'm sure people EXOL, they're like, oh my god, they're leaving me, but I mean no, I mean you gotta remember they have stayed together this long, though it's been a while, because a lot of these groups, by anniversary seven, they're like I say, they're done they get the seven year itch.

Speaker 2:

Exactly where's that?

Speaker 1:

I can't know this you know I'm done, I'm through with this. So it's. It's great that they have stayed as a, as a group, in this long and uh, I'm sure everybody wants to already break out of that and have a solo career. Very few groups will stay together forever, forever yes as we know. Yes, very girl, girl, hold on to that. Oh, my goodness, my god, I was laughing, ah. But anyways, let's see anything else going on with the kpop industry. Well, as you know, you know, mr uh Jungkook making a stir everywhere that he's.

Speaker 2:

You know what? He's developed the same allergy to clothing that wano has because they're getting so damn big they cannot fit on anything he's taking his shirt off everywhere every five minutes, but he was just at the kelvin kline event and, yeah, he made a like Tokyo shounu.

Speaker 1:

Was there a surprise appearance or something? It was like no, no, I think it was scheduled oh okay, he actually had done something.

Speaker 2:

I think he was like in Hungary or somewhere in Europe for a couple of days and then he flew to Tokyo for the kelvin kline thing. So, like I said, he was there, shounu was there, uh, peak boy was there, uh, there were a lot, a lot, a lot of artists. Hey, kelvin kline, yeah, wow, hey you know I was gonna say you know something interesting yes remember how a couple episodes I was saying.

Speaker 2:

You know, jungkook is releasing his album on the same anniversary as arashi, right? Well, his single 3d, the one that just came out, well like two weeks ago now, was produced by blood pop, mm. Now, do you remember who else blood pop worked with? Yes, one of our favorite songs, face down remix from arashi. Exactly. I was like hello, what has jk been studying? Studying my boy's arashi?

Speaker 1:

he's he's starting his japanese hyungs. He's like so these guys, he's studying the japanese hyungs, you know?

Speaker 2:

I just I was like wow, like what a weird sort of doing the same release date, oh yeah, using the same producer mm what's going?

Speaker 1:

on here. Well, you know, rehab also had worked with arashi mm. They have now had a single. Had worked with j o one. Well, they just released a single. I played it on okay asia. So, like those, you know, producers are getting now like, well, we are really dipping into the Asian culture.

Speaker 1:

You know, let's see who else are gonna be working with yeah we're looking Philippines, which is also very heavily into pop, you know, hey. So like somebody started something, I started something. Really I'm thinking of that Smith song, clearly never meant to go, I don't know. Okay, no, okay, I'm stopping it. I don't remember the lyrics, but if I hear the song I'll sing it like karaoke.

Speaker 2:

Anyways, all right so, so what else were you gonna say about him though? I interrupted sorry what was I gonna say? Did it have to do with the Calvin Klein thing? Yeah, yeah, yeah, so you mentioned it.

Speaker 1:

This is good, because I was like, oh yes so, um, we can start more into the japanese news, which you know a lot. A lot has changed, mm. Like group names have been changed yes and we'll like to say that no longer Johnny's West, where we have now West, yeah yay, so what I was like they?

Speaker 2:

they're gonna have to keep West in there somehow you know, west is a great name.

Speaker 1:

I mean, there are actually from the Kansai region, which is, of course, the west part of Japan. Amazing, you know why not west? There's not another group called West and it's a strong name, like not just west, it's west. Yeah, you know west. And so they made their debut. They announced their debut name on their fan club, but also on tv, asahi, asahi music station, which they appeared on the 20th, and they, you know, they made the announcement we're now called west yes, we are west.

Speaker 1:

I'm like yeah, I'm like go west. So when they made the announcement I wasn't work. But uh, I'm thinking our jasmine is gonna be called jasmine still, I don't. Hmm, good question, I have to reach out to the jasmin's because I'm sure there'll be a different name for the fandom well, not necessarily.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that would be kind of hard to yeah. I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I have to. Yeah, I'll check with jasmine so see if they have a different fandom name now, because I'm assuming maybe there'll be a different name. Kansai girls I'm going all okay, westies, the Westies, okay, but uh, when West? So when they announced the group named west, now I was thinking of go west from patch up boys the song yeah, yes, well, because there was a band called go west.

Speaker 2:

Don't you remember them ages ago? No, yeah, yeah there was a band called the 80s. In the 80s there was a band called go west, get out. Now gotta check that out. They were a big syntho pop thing. I can't don't ask me to name a single song, because I can't think of any of them. But um, I'm assuming, uh, british. Yes, they were.

Speaker 1:

I think maybe they had a song called escape or something it's a duo yes, uh, go west are an English pop duo formed in 1982 by lead vocalist Peter Cox, in rhythm guitarist and backing vocals Richard Drummy. Uh, the Brita Wars 1986. They receive a Brita War for British breakthrough act. That's it. I never heard of this group, really never oh yeah, no, they.

Speaker 2:

Like I said, one of the songs has something about escape in it. I just can't remember okay they were, I mean like literally they were huge for like two minutes and then they were gone. But is this like a one hit wonder? Maybe two hit one, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I mean, they were active on from 82 to 86. No, I stares, they even released something in 1992. Hey uh. Genre dance electronic.

Speaker 2:

Origin London yeah, they were definitely like part of the the synth club scene oh, but I was okay.

Speaker 1:

So when I was thinking more for our boys west, what's the song from Petra Boys go west, which apparently is a song from another artist, but of course Petra Boy did their own spin on it, of course, but they did it amazingly.

Speaker 1:

Now Petra Boys actually released it more for the ace release aids relief, you know, but the song is, the lyrics are for everything, because you know it's like we go far, we have it's positive vibes. You know it's they, it's a jumping through hurdles, of whatever you're going through, but you know. So I was thinking go west.

Speaker 2:

Right, and then I was the song that I was thinking. There's that, that quote from some guy about go west, young man, go west.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Meaning like when people were first moving across the country here in the United States and the whole West Coast was completely unknown. This was like go out there, find your fortune, forge ahead and that's why it was called a wild west. But everybody go west, young man go west. It just, it just meant like seek your fortunes and build yourself, recreate yourself, go out, and that's that's what they're doing.

Speaker 1:

So when I send you the Petra, Boy song go west, because the lyrics just sounded, it was just perfect because their name being west. I'm going to read a little bit of the lyrics of Petra Boys go west. It starts with with we will go our way, you know. This is why the rebirth of this new name, we will leave someday your hand in my hand. So I'm thinking them and the fans. I'm like it's a beautiful song.

Speaker 2:

I'm thinking this is great for them.

Speaker 1:

So we will make our plans. We will fly so high, tell all our friends goodbye so meaning you know that old name. We will start life new. This is what we'll do, and then life is peaceful here. Go west in the open air. Go west where the skies are blue, go west. This is what we're going to do. I mean, it's perfect for them. I'm like I want, I want west to sing this song, for, like, there's things on it's like and listening to the Petra Boys arrangement, it's so much like an arrangement for them. Oh yeah, absolutely. It's a great song Like I would like like West. Can you please get a hold of or Petra Boys, get a hold of them and do like a new remix with them singing the song.

Speaker 2:

Well, he'd totally be able to work with them and like rearrange vocally, because that's, I mean, that's what those guys do. That's what Petra Boys do yeah is just remix and create amazing sounds.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, they're just amazing. I mean but the lyrics of the song and what their new name is. It goes perfect, it does. Yeah, I'm like I will be here crying.

Speaker 2:

So I think I remembered the guy's name Horace Greeley. I think it was said go west, young man. Okay, it just came to me when I walk because you know, I'm saying some guy said some guy said, I don't know, I think that was his name. But yeah, that's what it's all about. Okay, moving, moving towards your future, taking things into your own hands and forging a new life for yourself, a new path. Yes, and that's what these guys are doing. Yes, go west. Na, na, na na na na Go west.

Speaker 1:

I'm telling you, it's gotta be the same time now. It's time this feels perfect. Anyways, also great news on October 16th, naniwa Danchi. They actually bring out the cuteness with their song I wish, which I played on OK Asia, and their video, of course, being just cute, you know, very typical of Naniwa Danchi.

Speaker 2:

And they're going to hate hearing that though.

Speaker 1:

So cute.

Speaker 2:

Well, this is the thing we're always saying, that about Portaigo. He's like almost 30. Well, he's like hello.

Speaker 1:

Yamada is already 30. And we're like he's so cute, I'm pretty.

Speaker 2:

Oh well he's been. I don't know that boy on his Instagram.

Speaker 1:

He's been you know, why he probably does listen to the podcast and be like. You know, I'm so dumb for all these freaking ladies saying that I am just cute. I am not cute. I'm a man. Now I'm 30. Look, I can be sexy. Look at me. Yes, he can Wow. But yeah, you put yourself inside of floaties. And you're like oh, my man, look at you. Damn, he's so cute.

Speaker 2:

Now he's got some, some very steamy pictures.

Speaker 1:

Let's just say he's I know he's getting there. He's get for me. He's getting there. Now that picture on him, that with that Cabana shirt, with the glass that I'm like Yamada's arm. He's looking like a daddy there. It's just for some reason there. I think it was sunglasses?

Speaker 2:

Yes, he did have some. Well, there's one, he's laying in a like the Shaz lounge thing, and then the angle served from behind him. But he's not wearing a shirt, it's just his pants and he's got his hair slicked. I was like what are you doing? Oh, my God, my heart. Can't take it.

Speaker 1:

I would really like I saw that, but no, I'm not there yet with Yamada, really, yeah, he's still for me, Yam Yam.

Speaker 2:

He can be a man like Yamada.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you can see that angle.

Speaker 2:

I can't, I don't see that angle.

Speaker 1:

No, it's for that picture and that Cabana shirt and the glasses. Then I'm like, yeah, I am. Yeah, what a son there. But the other pictures I'm like, oh, yeah, you're so cute, Hello angel.

Speaker 2:

He's precious, but he has. There's those moments where you see it in his eyes.

Speaker 1:

You're like oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

Mm. Hmm, I'm your boy coming, but yes, Naniwa Danchi are cutie boys.

Speaker 1:

They're doing their thing, mr Michi. Actually, this song is, of course, a theme song for one of you. Know, michi, that he is like the actor.

Speaker 1:

He's been in so many dramas and comedy and whatnot, so this one is for my second hour. That's the name of the drama that he's in and the song is the theme song for that drama. So yeah, for all the boys. And I believe that the single oh yeah, it's going to be the singles coming out on November 15. Nice, you know the three, these singles that they do with the behind the scene videos as well. Of course he is that we cannot get over here, but if we are, if you can find this music over there, we'll please go support the boys. Yes, definitely, because they're just adorable, they're just so cute. So yeah, and let's see. So that's something from Naniwa that I will just receive. And, of course, we talked about Johnny's West. You know no longer, but now is West. Congratulations, congratulations.

Speaker 2:

Um, actually I did see something now, Koji Koji Mukaio from snowman I was like I'm not processing. Is he just closing the play Harold and mod, or is that just starting? I don't know Because.

Speaker 1:

I had.

Speaker 2:

I don't remember seeing anything about it previously, but the stuff I just saw. He was saying thank you, so it's almost like it's over, but I had no idea he was. It looks like he's playing the main character. Yeah, he was in.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he did.

Speaker 2:

I wonder if they're already done, because I think so cuz he was saying thank you and I was like, oh my god, I totally, I love that. It's an old movie, yeah, and Obviously someone made it into a stage play and he was starring in it and I'm like, oh my god, yeah, I want to see that. You know, well, it's like all their stage plays. I know somebody recorded that.

Speaker 1:

That's why you saw it on the on snowman's Instagram that he was taking pictures of the sets. Yeah, as the as his memories of being in there and oh.

Speaker 2:

So I was like oh, my god that's so cool. We, so anyone who got to see that you're so lucky.

Speaker 1:

I know, like the tachyocasa or kabuki show. Oh, we have, we have on DVD, you know, you know, blue rain. Thank, thank you to all the snow babies, thank you.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for you know, bringing that up and Giving it to me. Thank you, anyways. Oh, and you, king and prince, magic world music video that came out five days ago. That's another thing coming out that came out in other words, also Speaking of oh, I gotta bring this up because I found a blur on X Twitter About my children's sexy song, oh, so last nice, and rambling where sexy lovers were letting me know that on the fan club or the qr zone Sexy zones, cure zone they were talking about changing their name. I found somebody who Actually translated key points of the qr zone. This is not a friend, this is somebody else.

Speaker 1:

Okay, which it was very interesting.

Speaker 2:

So interesting.

Speaker 1:

And I'm gonna be reading Rave atom from this. I don't think it's a news thing, but I think it's it's news by the take in trend. They translate Okay. So it starts. Kiku Chifuma talked about how they involve all members of sexy zone, including graduated member Mario's yo, to discuss the potential name change on the radio program sexy zone no qr zone. Sexy song members have taken to discuss discussing a potential name change for the group publicly, but Fuma talked about how they first discussed this in 2019 when some overseas work was canceled due to their name.

Speaker 2:

Oh, really so. They could have been remember when I told you.

Speaker 1:

Fuma has no hair in his tongue. Yeah, and I'm sure he's like we're doing this and I'm sure he fought for this. The back in 2019, when you know who passed away, they're like you know, the old man's gone. Why do we need to keep this? Let's change this BS. Yeah, definitely now that coming to light.

Speaker 2:

Wow, overseas were canceled because of their name and you know that probably had to mean somewhere in the US. Of course, cuz yeah, why anyone in the US would have been like no sexies. Usually we don't care.

Speaker 1:

You know, yeah, no, that's crazy, yeah. So when I heard that, I'm like OMG, they always been wanting to do work overseas, but with this name they put in the kibosh on it.

Speaker 2:

I know right well, think about it. 2019 actually Are. She was over here working on stuff. King and Prince had been over here working on stuff, so I'm sure sexy zone was gonna come over and work on stuff and it got foobard because of the name.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, wow and then, but Mary happen, pandemic really make you yeah they're really.

Speaker 2:

Get over that Are she?

Speaker 1:

was gonna be here. I know, oh my god, they were gonna be doing a tour.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, that episode.

Speaker 1:

I'm like Sarah, have you seen the last up? You like noon. I'm like, oh my god, just have tissues next to you, because I was like I was freaking out. Oh my god they were in California not just only for a video, they were gonna make a tour.

Speaker 2:

Well, like I said, next year is their 25th anniversary, so maybe there was a lot of cost.

Speaker 1:

I send you that. I know there was a Yahoo news Japan blur that mr Ornals in Tokyo, the senior you know, he might have just been there visiting, but seen in Tokyo walking his dog. He takes his favorite pastime, he loves his doggy. He's like, okay, I'm leaving my beach boy. Look, I gotta be now a city dweller over here for a little bit.

Speaker 1:

I was like oh, I gotta leave my paradise. How you know Kenawa or one of the islands in Onikinawa? He's, he's really out south. He's like. He's Doesn't look like a beach bomb For the facial hair on that man.

Speaker 2:

Well, he's had facial hair before now. This is like, like it was a blurry picture so Couldn't see it real clear like.

Speaker 1:

You, you were really. Come on, shut up, you lie.

Speaker 2:

Stop lying, you're definitely looking tan.

Speaker 1:

See, you're like you were really up in that picture. Like you don't care, he has that picture.

Speaker 2:

Like seriously doesn't matter, he can do anything. I will always adore him always.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he's completely in Ohio. It is like I retired.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's totally the the laid-back, relaxed beach life. Oh my god, I'm like good for you, man.

Speaker 1:

Good for you. You deserve it so much. You just serve free a few more years.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, you know, June is like on his case. Dude, I know, 25 years, come on oh.

Speaker 1:

My goodness I wonder I. Can see June. Like have you been working out at?

Speaker 2:

all. Yeah, do you have you practiced dancing? One bit, one bit, come on oh my god yeah no, you know, that's where the pressure is gonna come from oh yeah, oh yeah, I'm almost done with my drama, and you bet.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, I have been in shape, everybody's been in shape, even Nino's doing action movies. Oh hello I about you. Oh my god, they gotta show him. And what picture you see now the most to promote this New drama of his he should shirtless. Yes, I'm like, I'm all for that.

Speaker 2:

Everyone's like yeah.

Speaker 1:

I'm absolutely right. Everybody's like, of course. Yes, I'm a, I'm a coon. Oh my god, almost like, yeah he.

Speaker 2:

He, though, always showed off his, his belly. He loves showing us belly, like there's videos. He lifts his shirt to show his belly. In the concerts he always unbutton his shirt to show his belly. I'm I was like yes.

Speaker 1:

I.

Speaker 2:

Want to be naked. I'm all for that, yeah, I actually show used to take his shirt off a lot.

Speaker 1:

Well, show, there was a one time that he was like I'm not doing that. But when they did the last you know, show that he's like I really. He was really getting into shape. Hmm, because he he's gotta be with his juniors and he didn't want to like I gotta show off my bod Because I'm gonna be with juniors. Bodies is different than mine.

Speaker 2:

Well, he's like I'm gonna be ripping my shirt off.

Speaker 1:

Oh. I know so, oh my god. So we're hoping and then to precipitating that. You know something is going well. You know Things are happening with everybody in the company. Of course, A lot of names have changed, even on the ex Twitter. You know it's no new name to come.

Speaker 1:

You can't say anything yet until you know. Things have been changed, you know, yeah, yeah, like the website no longer says Johnny, anything that says Johnny is completely different for the juniors. It's just juniors, yeah, it's just juniors, you know, and which is fine, it's just great. You know, that's what they are, their juniors, of course. Oh, there was a blur. I heard that maybe Haysay jump may change their name as well. Oh, really, that's, it's a blur that I saw. And then the Yamada Voice, something that they were in talks, but nothing. But they weren't sure. They just wanted to change it to jump.

Speaker 1:

Okay, well, that works you know, which I think a lot of the fans have actually called them jump. They don't go by, haysay jump.

Speaker 2:

I think this is a time of rethinking for all of them you know, To sort of just change it up and take themselves that one step away from what everything had been, you know, without completely dissolving everything, but to continue on and just sort of update and refresh themselves.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, we'll see, yeah, there's. So I wanted to bring that up because, you know, I, we, we know very well that sexy songs that They've been really front of on about this name and now now, now this happening because I did, this Article does not mention shorty talking, but he did mention, you know, shorty, that they wanted to do overseas work, but, of course, with Fuma saying this, that things got canceled. Yeah, let's say about this, about Fuma, you know Well, I know here, on his tongue, he's gonna tell you how it is. So this is what happened you know?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, gonna let you know right off to.

Speaker 1:

This is what happened, fuma, cool is gonna be like listen, come on, just stop beating it around the bush. This is what happened. That's why we we changing this. We're done. There you go for my. Yay, fuma. I'm behind you, my boy, love you 100% speaking of him, he's doing a drama too.

Speaker 2:

Yes, he is. I just saw a cute little clip from it. He's making faces at a kid on a train. I bet that was the face he made when he heard the name of the group he was debuting.

Speaker 1:

No. So, as we know, johnny's is a social now call smile up. But of course, there's all the things going on in the company that are changing. There was something else that I found and it just has to be involved. Oh, uh, kiss my foot to see ya, me, yata, snowman, shotta, what an army. And Nani, what then? She's a Michi.

Speaker 1:

They share some thoughts on these smile up, a new change and the future plans. So what they were saying about the change? At least Mitchie, let's see. Mitchie, mitchie, mitchie, mitchie's. It has a hopeful look. I will keep. He's a new chapter in their life. It's a new chapter as a group. Um, so they're there's, they're going to be emphasizing, you know, positivity and excitement for their fans. Uh, he shares, even though the company name is changing and we're no longer Johnny's. Uh, we'll work hard to create a more exciting future. Well, it's sad we can't use the name anymore. We're determined to keep spreading smiles, courage and positivity in our own unique way. Also from Our boy, what Hanabi? Gratitude and promise. He just wants to keep rocking and his statement is even with a new name, we're here to keep delivering top notch entertainment.

Speaker 2:

Yes, no, man yeah.

Speaker 1:

So he's like big thanks to everyone and the agency for giving us opportunity Once more. And last but not least, we have Miyata's Quote where he says we're here to stay. I know it might feel a bit lonely, but rest assured, we're here to keep the entertainment. Coming Now also, one of the members to kiss my foot is just left the group, I think yes. So it's a new beginning for everybody. Yeah, it is, it is. It's a new beginning for everybody.

Speaker 2:

Well, and I'm I'm glad that they're all keeping positive about this and wanting to move forward, because we had talked about before, it's a shame that these artists, you know, are in a way being punished for the association with the name when, like, they're just trying to perform their craft and and be the artists that they want to be and you know what I mean like to to have this big shadow fall over them when they may or may not be victims of you know.

Speaker 2:

However you look at it, right, everyone, because of this dark cloud over the name Johnny, everyone's affected by it. All of these artists are affected by it and and that's so unfair because they've worked so hard and they've, you know, been just out there busting their butts to entertain and to get where they are, and to have that the possibility of all of that being ripped out from under them because of this, you know, thing that was out out of their control is just A horrible prospect. So I'm glad that they're all staying positive and looking forward to Reinventing, basically, yes, themselves and you know, the organization, because it seems like a lot of them are going to stay within that that organization still. But just to, you know, move forward. So yes that's awesome.

Speaker 2:

I'm glad that they're keeping the outlook bright, because that's hard to do in the face of what's been going on exactly. It's a big shake-up.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, and also that, just to let you know the the brotherhood that we always talk about, mm-hmm, you know that these groups have a brotherhood and for those who actually just left the group, they respect the decision we have said before. You know, a group cannot always stay together. You know other members have other plans or the things in the future that they want to do, but they're not like, oh man, you're, this thing was whatever. No, they're just like, you know, congratulations to what you need to do us, the rest of the group. We're just gonna continue as a group and hopefully the fans, you know, support us as much as we were four members or five members, you know right.

Speaker 2:

Whatever, how many they were together. Well, you know, because some people Just it's not the path. They want to continue on right. You know, maris yo, just he needed to step away and everybody was, you know, his brothers supported him, yeah, and understood, you know, and but he didn't hold any grudge that they wanted to continue as a group either. You know what I mean. That was right. So I think that you know a lot, of a lot of these groups. I think it's just sort of about as you grow, you realize maybe you have a different dream now and everybody's okay and Supportive. If you need to step back or move on, it's that's a good thing, that's a good thing.

Speaker 1:

So with that I mean all this happened within october 16th. You know with with the names and the changes, and you know this month is it's huge. I mean it's for me october it has been. It's crazy because it's like fall and it's always in. Fall is like the death of things. You know the chapter ending too much with you know, change over yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's a huge month for me personally and you know, then, all the things happening and it's like Like october. It's like huge for me, huge for me, and now, with this happening in the industry, yeah, that's a month that this is a month that we're never gonna forget. You know, like you know, things been happening through the years and through the past months, but today is just like the end of a chapter but the beginning of another one, which is amazing for a lot of these groups and and for the company too.

Speaker 2:

Yes, definitely.

Speaker 1:

So I do want to read a few quotes from some fans Out in japan. I'm gonna try to do some japanese, but I do have a translation. So there was one fan who says rogonoi mi amaru fukaku kan gaeta koto nakata kyou de owate. Shimao logo, sono logo, no komo kon meta omoi taizetsu ni shite ikimasu. So this is about I have never thought too deeply about the meaning of the logo, a logo that ends today. We will share the thoughts Put into that logo Meaning Johnny's logo. So they said, oh, and the hashtag was crazy. The hashtag in japanese was uh, johnny's Jimu show Arigato, julie sound arigato. So there were a lot of fans. Just give them them thanks for what they have done. Um, I know there was a lot of people having mixed feelings about this hashtag, but come on, yeah, they understand. I'm sure they understand the what happened. It was, come on, horrendous.

Speaker 2:

But they still. But you can't deny that he brought a lot of Super talented young people to the forefront, gave us great music, great shows, great entertainment. You know what I mean Like. So, yeah, yeah, there's definitely Mixed feelings about that because, yeah, you just you can't deny that this was due to him Bringing this.

Speaker 1:

There were some fans who were like, how can you be glorifying this man? How can? I'm like I, I get both, I guess both you know. Arguments, yeah, like what the hell? But like, come on, if it wasn't For this company, no Johnny's west, no Arashi no cat no v6 no snap.

Speaker 1:

Right, it's exactly it was like the longest you know, and some of this newest one that we have right now, and uh, but yeah, yeah, uh, there was one really funny that I wanted to read. I'm trying japanese come on, j storm. No あの bako no nando piri, piri la Retta kotoka Uh kore kara mo arashi fan desu Uh yon Lee, oh Meguraiwa sette, kureta, kurete, arigato. And the translation is and this is something that you're gonna, we know about this. How many times I have been scared by the J-Storm loud sound. I will always be an R-R-C fan. Thank you for letting me meet the five of you.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's awesome. It's true that opening thing J-Storm, J-Storm. So this fan is like ten times louder than everything else You're like oh my god.

Speaker 1:

Well, the ones that you have, you're like you gotta turn that down before. I'm like why? And I'm like yes, arigato. So I'm like dang it. So yeah, this fan also gets to say how many times have I been scared by the J-Storm?

Speaker 2:

intro. So, oh my gosh, actually they're gonna have to change that too, the whole J-Storm.

Speaker 1:

Well, now the company's called Storm, no more R-J.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

J's gone. That's now called.

Speaker 2:

Storm.

Speaker 1:

Okay, but yes, apparently Julie was the one that started this. Oh really, yeah, From the blurs that I've been seeing to them like oh, so Julie was the one that started the J-Storm, not Johnny's, not Mr Johnny's son.

Speaker 2:

Hmm, interesting so.

Speaker 1:

I think if it was just what's gonna be, just her company money wise, I'm thinking. Well, I mean, it's been J-Storm's, been a thing though Like that was the name, but starting years ago, I'm thinking financially, even though it started, but maybe under her meaning money that happens in there, it goes to her. Hmm, yeah, I don't know. So these are just blurs that I've been seeing like from people, Because you know they had the Island TV thing and they had the Disney.

Speaker 2:

I mean they've got all kinds of oh yeah, no they're so yeah, but anyway it's been.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I like that.

Speaker 2:

How many times, yeah, I've been scared by that a lot too.

Speaker 1:

I'm with you.

Speaker 2:

I'm with you. We'd always forget and be like Jesus, Exactly.

Speaker 1:

Where did that come from? Turn the TV down. We know what's going to happen, oh my God. So yeah, there you go, everybody. There's a lot of people that feel the same.

Speaker 2:

You know well and. I agree with the sentiment of Irishie to adore them always will be always an Irishie fan.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, yes, so anyway. So those are some blurs that we have found out about. Now, the new company that we don't know the name yet. There is my law, but that's for something else. But for the rest of these groups, we, you know, we'll find out to be continued. Yes, what the name of it? But congratulations to West, which they're seeing it as a debut. You know well cool, they're seeing it as a debut for them. You know, a new chapter, just like start fresh.

Speaker 1:

It's like we graduated from Johnny's West. Now we're West, west the way it's a. West, west. And I'm like, yes, now I can't wait for my boys, for my Fuma, my Kentie, my Shory and my so Well, they're a new name. One of the things that I was thinking if they change your name, well, mario's, your comeback.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. I think he really, really it was just a lot of stress and pressure for him and I'm just not sure that his heart is in the performing so much. You know what I mean, like when you're young and thinking about what you want to do with your future. Everybody changes their mind over time.

Speaker 1:

And he started so young. Yeah, he was just 11. Yeah, so I think. But then of course, I'm thinking maybe he could be like, oh no, and just taking a hiatus and doing whatever he wants to do, and then be like, okay, I'll be back, you know yeah.

Speaker 2:

Now with ours is different because we don't know. Oh no, it's really like in his life. Come on.

Speaker 1:

Well, if you see them side by side, their pictures.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And he's like yeah, look at me, I'm in Paris.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean this and that.

Speaker 1:

Now he's putting it out there like I'm looking at me, I'm happy you know I'm doing all this stuff. But yeah, I don't know about Ono.

Speaker 2:

No Ono's always said I want to be a hermit.

Speaker 1:

Leave me in my island. He probably, he probably owned his own little island. He does. You know how many little islands are out. In Japan they just discovered 2000 more Mm-hmm. He's on one of them. He probably does he probably bought like an archipelago.

Speaker 2:

Well, because he had bought property already.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

That supposedly is you know doing something.

Speaker 1:

These are blurred people, I'm sure yeah.

Speaker 2:

I'm sure that that's what he used his money for to invest in places he could go and be alone.

Speaker 1:

Right, I'm making money so he can live like that. Yes, he.

Speaker 2:

He was looking for someplace far away from people.

Speaker 1:

There you go. The unknown is him listening, mm-hmm. The unknown.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, I told you it was Ono.

Speaker 1:

It's Ono's listening. Yeah, I'm out of to. That's why he's having this IG. Like this lady is calling me cute, I gotta stop it. Let's see what other angles can I do so she can start calling me yam, yam. I need to stop that. No, I'm not.

Speaker 2:

It's gonna happen. I'd probably call him yam yam when I meet him.

Speaker 1:

Well, that's the thing, damn. What did I do? Because if we get to meet him and we were like yeah, I'm like yeah yeah, yeah. I want, I want Fuma to be there. He'll be like what, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

You know he would.

Speaker 1:

He'd pick that up like I know he will be ragging on him. He said she called you yam yam, yam yam. Ah, probably too Like those two will be laughing their asses off.

Speaker 2:

And you, nakamaru, would just be smiling to himself. I know, oh my God, that's pretty funny, but he wouldn't pick on him.

Speaker 1:

If I see Nakamaru from it I'll probably die. I love that man. He is so oh, I love him. His pictures when he goes away. I know he loves pizza. The man loves pizza. He's always eating some kind of pizza. You know, and I'm like man, stop it. Nakamaru. He's so damn flackle, he's so skinny. He's eating all this awesome food and I'm like dang it, I can't eat that Right.

Speaker 2:

You know my God and he's out there.

Speaker 1:

Oh, katuna's doing something. Yeah, activities are going on and whatever.

Speaker 2:

Yes, they are. They're gearing up for something.

Speaker 1:

I'm scared. Where I was doing some stuff that I'm like stay away when I don't. I don't want to be near you. Have you seen his IG? No, he's scary.

Speaker 2:

He's crazy.

Speaker 1:

He's scary, not crazy Scary. Yeah, come on. I know he's face Minceing and prancing. He's like I'm tired. I'm like, oh, look at you. I'm like, oh, look at you.

Speaker 2:

I'm like, oh, look at you. I'm like, oh, look at you. I'm like, oh, look at you. I'm like, oh look at you.

Speaker 1:

I'm like oh, look at you.

Speaker 2:

Actually, I like, when he's off golfing, look at my legs. You know, that's why like all of his little poses while he's golfing is so he's like look at my legs. Yeah, I love you, kamenash, don't worry, we make fun of you because we love you.

Speaker 1:

Of course.

Speaker 2:

Same thing with Ueda? No, we're not. You secretly love me.

Speaker 1:

I run away. When is where I coming? Let me know. When he's on his way, I go the other way. I don't want to be near that man. No, he's scary. No, he's not, fine, you're crazy. Okay. So when he comes back I'll throw you in and I'll run. The man is such and like his physique is so like athletic, you probably catch you, put you there and run after me. Yes, exactly, I can't do it. You know, like you're like a total, like action figure. He's like who will catch you be like are you okay? Like catch you will scar.

Speaker 2:

Then who go catch the perpetrator?

Speaker 1:

He's like this is the thing he grabs you, are you okay? I'm sorry, I'm like what, what, what, what, what, what, what. Oh, my God, what. I'm not listening. He's not listening to this. I hope he might now. I wish he does.

Speaker 2:

Well then, in advance, I will say thank you for saving me from panic.

Speaker 1:

I'm throwing it at you. Oh my God, I'm over here. All right, we'll leave it like that, yeah.

Speaker 2:

We've reached the punchy point. We're done, we're done.

Speaker 1:

Action scene. You're the one that came off on because he's grabbing him. You're like, you're like, but of course not my dad, but more his deep voice.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you, probably like, like your eyebrows.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 1:

I should have kept it for myself. I'll say we should make our own. Make our own, yeah, we should.

Speaker 2:

But you know you can't make sure big in Japan. Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1:
