Welcome aboard! This musical voyage starts off with some Halloween gumption, comparing the trick-or-treat traditions of Western Massachusetts with the grand Halloween celebrations at Tokyo's Shibuya Crossing. Get ready for your cultural sweet tooth to be satiated.

We start with some J-pop news, covering some of our fave artists and their current endeavors. Then we move to the eye of the storm, where we confront the controversy surrounding BLACKPINK's Lisa's performance at the Crazy Horse Burlesque, is it art or crude? Our discourse navigates the blurred lines between being a fan or being a stalker.

Our odyssey concludes with an in-depth analysis of Bad Bunny's 'BATICANO'. Unravel the mystery of German horror, film noir influences, and the philosophical depth in his lyrics. His latest album 'nadie sabe lo que va a pasar mañana' stands out from his previous work with his unique way of addressing mental health issues through music.

OK ASIA

Speaker 2:

Hello, this is Panic and this is Sarah, and you are listening to Music, alixer a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists and music. Welcome everybody to another Music Alixer episode. This is Sarah, and with me is Panic. You know our AI always calls you TANIC. I know, I don't know why it doesn't hear the P panic.

Speaker 1:

I don't know, and it's not we don't have. I mean, once in a while we'll do a heavy Boston accent, but it's not all the time. I know, I don't know, I'm like panic, I mean, I guess I'm not pronouncing the P.

Speaker 2:

Panic. It doesn't sound as good when you do it that way, right?

Speaker 1:

Anyways, welcome everybody. It's a new episode of friends and ramblings.

Speaker 2:

Because once again, we're taking too long with our music, but because of our new decision like I threw a monkey wrench on our usual way to listen to things. So, of course, well, because now, yeah, we don't have each other, we're not going to have each other to bounce off of with the topic. We're going to be drawing out of a hat and discussing one song each, so we both need to really do our homework on these Exactly.

Speaker 1:

Like, yeah, we won't be filling in the blanks, we won't be helping each other that way.

Speaker 2:

That would be interesting.

Speaker 1:

Right, ah, something new, something different.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, stir things up Well that's what we got to do. Try things new yes.

Speaker 1:

So before we start Art Race and Rambling any personal news that you want to talk about or anything going on, we just had the king say oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

The king said it was exciting, it was fun it was exciting. It was exciting, I mean it was exciting, it was exciting, it was exciting, it was exciting.

Speaker 1:

And I was like I don't know what to say it was exciting. I was like, oh, I can't believe it. I was like all the crazy's were out, including us, right, yes, and now, and now, much as you know, crazy, even though the few moon, it wasn't that crazy. Plus, it was Halloween week too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was actually pretty mellow, yeah, we never get trigger treaters in my area.

Speaker 1:

Really, they all stayed like in the center of town, which I advise to do. That, yeah because some of the houses around here kind of sketch, and I live in a nice neighborhood, but I don't know, it's yeah, no, that's okay yeah.

Speaker 2:

No, we actually we had less trigger treaters this year than we had during the whole COVID pandemic, when you know, like, wow, it's crazy. You know, the very first year they weren't sure they were going to do trick or treating. So we had a table with bags sealed up out on the front lawn and we just sort of stood, and when kids came, everybody's wearing masks anyway, so we were just like, yeah, take a bag from the tray.

Speaker 2:

So, and we had like 40 kids that year, the very first year of the pandemic, and then loads of trick or treaters. And then this year, the only ones that came were old coworkers. Okay, well, one coworker who actually lives in my neighborhood yeah, her kids and her sister's kids came. So they were like the only trick or treaters we got. Wow, 10, 10 kids total. Wow, yeah, all right, so they weren't the only ones, because there's only five of them, but you know what I mean. It was just weird. And the other five only came because they told people that house over there has loads of candy.

Speaker 1:

Go get candy over there, don't forget it.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, wow.

Speaker 1:

Really weird. That is weird. Yeah, it is how it is, you know, and I guess more parents are choosy to where, to you know, go trick or treating, right, you know, it's either a family members house or friends house or the organized like trunk or treats that they do, yeah, At the mall, parking lots and stuff which we'd actually think is less safe than you know going around to your neighbors. I don't know, do they have like police attendants there?

Speaker 2:

They must. I don't, I don't know, I've never been to one.

Speaker 1:

I know Me neither, I just know about it and I know the mall usually do like give candy. Yeah, you know, if you go trick or treating at the mall, right?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, in the stores, but that's. That's different. This is the. You know, meet up in a parking lot and everybody have candy pass out. I don't know, I don't think my family would have done that when I was little you know?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but like yeah, we're living in different times.

Speaker 2:

Very different. That is it, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1:

So very interesting trick or treating here on uh in the, uh Western Massachusetts, because I know around the world everybody does their own different thing. Right, you know, now we have like Tokyo, like uh Shibuya crossing, it's like the biggest thing, you know.

Speaker 2:

Huge party, yeah, and I've seen I didn't we watch them one year. Yeah, we were like, wow, look at what's going on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like somebody, some YouTube channel will be streaming the streets and it's like wow that is crazy. I'm like yeah, no, that's okay.

Speaker 2:

Sort of like New Year's in Times Square, you know, oh my gosh, I don't know I think it's worse than you, or the same.

Speaker 1:

Um, it's probably about the same. About the same I'd never been to a New Year's in Times.

Speaker 2:

Square no because of that whole.

Speaker 1:

I mean it's I already stress enough just going to New York just because you know, just either to hang out or for a concert, just going for the purpose of being there.

Speaker 2:

No, Well, it's always. It's always cold to either raining or, you know, just frigid. Too many people Like just that's too many people for me, way too many, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Too many crazy people. I mean, you know yeah. No, thank you. So, even though it will be nice to be in Tokyo for Halloween, I don't know, I really want to. I don't know, maybe for a young girl you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know. I've never been big on crowds. Crowd events, like going to concerts, is really my limit.

Speaker 1:

Right, my limit Got it, I reach it with that Speaking of crowd and things like that, oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

In hyphen. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

That big crowd. I mean, I have not heard. I remember when I texted my friend, if it, I have not heard from her. But oh, guess what? So the friend that went to that show, oh yeah. She's on her way to Tokyo, yeah.

Speaker 2:

You were telling me I'm like what? But is she going for something specific, or is she?

Speaker 1:

just just going, just to go. I wish I could just. You know she's a professional, you know she can do that. Oh man, do you remember? So so she, she lost her job, then she gained one another one, like right away. So of course she's. She's like this is much better and I'm getting paid even more, and I'm like I am, I'm like you do you Wow? And then all of a sudden I'm going to Tokyo and I'm like didn't you just got like laid off? I got a job right away. I'm like wow.

Speaker 2:

Wow, but I don't have that kind of luck, and obviously you don't either. Oh my God. No, you're in a half without a job. You're in a half with the job.

Speaker 1:

That was insane, insane. And so you know, good for her. You know, and she can, but you know she's one of those people that know what to say yeah, that's so of course. Of course she landed that job like, probably, like nothing. I'm like, well, good for you, girl. Anyways. But what I'm going to say good for somebody is my Kenji Yonezu Wee, and I just found out, even though the news came out a while ago, actually a while ago, meaning in October. So his song kickback, which is also the intro song for a chainsaw man, which is like biggest anime going on right now. I like it too. I like the anime. I have watched the whole thing. I just started watching it. I like one of the characters called Pochita. It's so cute. It's just a chainsaw dog. It's so cute though I don't know if you're saying a chainsaw dog is cute, but it's cute.

Speaker 2:

It's interesting. I don't, I haven't seen it. If you see it yet, okay.

Speaker 1:

So anyway, a chainsaw dog, and I'm like chainsaw dog, cute, it is cute, you have to see it. Anyways, I'll show you pictures, okay. So he made history as the first Japanese song with lyrics to achieve goal identification from the recording industry association of America. The song was co-arranged by Daiki Toneda of Kinnu and used as the opening theme song, like I said, of chainsaw. It secured the 42nd position on Spotify top 50 global. And then Kenji Yonezu was thrilled and eager to meet his American fans and persons. So I can't wait. So this sounds good. This is a real hope for the future Japanese music industry worldwide. Yeah, wow, when is he coming here? That doesn't say he will like to meet his fans.

Speaker 2:

Oh, okay, he would like to. I thought you said he was looking forward to meeting his fans.

Speaker 1:

Meaning that just sounds like he might be thinking of a world tour. I mean world tour meeting in America. Oh my God, if he does, family will be like what it's like. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

The world tour that does LA and New York.

Speaker 1:

Girl, don't even remind me, Jeez.

Speaker 2:

I know Well, at least we can get to New York, well, I heard that Ado is also coming to America.

Speaker 1:

No dates yet, but a family is like why I want to see, Like what we'll see. You know, we will see. I mean, we already got tickets to see Benito Balbani.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, To Connecticut? Yeah, well, I told you, hartford has a good theater area. Yeah, so it should be.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, what places at the DC, dc, you know DC, you was booster. That's what's there? Yet the XL, oh, okay, yeah, yeah, in Hartford it's nice that they're hockey arena.

Speaker 2:

I've only been to their big outdoor Like a stadium, okay, but I've been to small theater stuff in Hartford. Now I mean it's decent, it's easy enough to get around. It's not the best Laid-out city plan, but it's. It's not as congested as, say, boston in New York yeah, the other got that going for it that, but Bonnie's going to is the TD garden in Boston garden.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, in Boston, which I Thought we got tickets there, but no, it was for Connecticut. Which is better. This is police, this closer. Yeah, absolutely Like. What is your friend getting Boston, connecticut? It's right here. We don't have to like travel that far, please, you know, no, we got it for Connecticut. So, yay, cool, so I get to see the venue for the first time. So for any other shows, yeah, definitely awesome. Also Travis Japan.

Speaker 2:

Have you heard this one? No, probably not. I know they were going to so Cal right, which they did. Yeah, I saw a couple of pictures. Mm-hmm, this is a very somebody's birthday there too.

Speaker 1:

I forgot which number now. That's so bad of me, but you know that. Yay, they went back to California. Of course, no mention of the East Coast, but they are going to release their first album. Awesome cold road to a, where the a stands for Authenticity and authenticity. Yes, Okay, okay, of course I can't say that word. So the title represents the group's commitment to delivering genuine entertainment and trustworthy content. Do you think?

Speaker 2:

it's gonna make an appearance on Spotify.

Speaker 1:

Let's see the album will be available on For that. This is more about the album for what I'm reading from for editions regular, first, t, first J and Fc Limited fan club limited right.

Speaker 2:

Hmm, so that won't be on the bottom right.

Speaker 1:

Includes a CD with 17 songs. Includes seven new songs. Additionally, the album will feature a unique serial code for the AI dialogue system with talk with that's the name of it allowing fans to interact with the members. Oh, wow, oh I know what they're doing.

Speaker 2:

Hmm, sort of like weverse, because they've got a whole thing now where you can sign up to be like DMing the Whoever is participating. Yeah but that's a whole.

Speaker 1:

Interesting. I know when I was reading them like.

Speaker 2:

Because I was just wondering, because they do have a song Right on Spotify or on a streaming service. Let's put it that way, because I think it's also on a couple of other things.

Speaker 1:

But well they have. They have a few songs already.

Speaker 2:

You know the, the Candy kiss, and then just dance, okay, yeah, yeah, it's like I'm trying to remember how many they've actually put on, they have also.

Speaker 1:

I can pull that up.

Speaker 2:

Here.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you've got.

Speaker 2:

Got it open right now.

Speaker 1:

Of course. So we have, like I mentioned, candy, kiss, moving pieces. Ah, that's it. Yep, just dance dance.

Speaker 1:

Well, they have that EP that also have other songs like Charging, still on a journey and keep on smiling. Okay, so that's what you can hear out there, which they have a you know a few million spins on it. Well, see, that came out. Probably what last year? No, june, oh, that's good, june 5th, moving see pieces? Now it has over two million streams on Spotify. This is what I'm looking at Spotify charging Still on a journey and keep on smiling. They have over a million Streams on Spotify. Wow, just dance came out when I was doing the summon, right summer, was it? I thought it was earlier no let's see.

Speaker 1:

No, oh, it just had anniversary, october 28th.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was gonna say I thought it came out earlier, october 28th of last year. All right, yeah, that's our debut song just dance with over a million streams. I can't believe it's been a year already a year oh it's been a year, wow.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, they were, so they're so due for an album.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they are definitely.

Speaker 1:

They are so due for an album. So yay guys, we can't wait. I'm assuming it will be streaming, but of course, if you want all these perks, you need to get the CDs Right. Yeah, the fan club and then be part of the fan club, of course.

Speaker 2:

Well, and I was gonna say so this sort of swings into the. The next big news.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

Speaking of who's on Spotify now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah service. Yeah, uh-huh, All right, yeah me and the rest of the band, oh damn.

Speaker 2:

Hey say, jump is available for streaming, or I was a happy, I know.

Speaker 1:

So happy, oh and good, oh, please.

Speaker 2:

Well, he, you know, he got his own Instagram and then this happens. So so it's a, it's a step, it's a move. That's why I was thinking, maybe the Travis Japan would also go to streaming, because they're starting it step by baby steps, baby steps.

Speaker 1:

There's. There's the ones that I really want to see on streaming. Is the rest of the groups? I thought maybe who just dropped something?

Speaker 2:

Oh, well, actually a cartoon they're on a tune. They're on streaming service. Yes, you want to see like West in sexy zone?

Speaker 1:

Yes, yeah snowman, oh, snowman, definitely. Mm-hmm snowman, definitely the one that maybe. Hopefully, now that West has a new name, they will also venture into the streaming service as well. But let's see Hacy Jump streaming debut. Or let's say, yeah, streaming debut that was what like October 24th right, I think that it, yes, appeared.

Speaker 2:

Look at me. Yes, the dates like ingrained on my brain October 24th yeah, yeah, because it's your yam, yam.

Speaker 1:

I know right you love your yam yam.

Speaker 2:

I do, but uh, yeah, they debuted at the EP PU.

Speaker 1:

It has achieved the top spot on the oricon weekly digital album ranking, with 24,071 downloads on the first week. That's cool. People are waiting for that oh yeah, I mean cool on the first week, ranking them as the first ever position on oricon weekly's digital ranking. Yay, it's a significant achievement for them.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it is like I said. It's a good step forward as far as the whole rest of the the groups in that company.

Speaker 1:

So mm-hmm to be named yes, we can't wait for more. But one thing though Hacy Jump said they're not going to be singing their debut song anymore. Oh, really, yeah. Yam yam has made an announcement that they're no longer going to be singing their debut song all right, I don't know growing change I guess, mm-hmm, maybe just too cutesy yeah, I never heard everybody's debut stuff is so cutesy, mm-hmm, you know, with the exception of sexism.

Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, no, okay, all right, yeah yeah, come on no no, and actually I mean I don't know Irish, is it? It is cute, but it's also it's got a good beat, you know well, irish is more.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's a, b, not that so cutesy, but it's it's fun. Right, right, it's a fun song yeah, they're definitely mm-hmm saying their own name. Hey, we're Irish we're the storm coming to you, so it comes to this go yeah well, now that, speaking of Irishy, mm-hmm have you heard, heard, which, what?

Speaker 2:

there's lots of it, mr June. Oh, his photo book. Yes, is that what you're talking about?

Speaker 1:

and okay, today is what November 4th just found out he has a Twitter for his exhibit. Oh really, yeah, I know Nina was already making fun of it. Of course he was. He's like what is this?

Speaker 2:

it's just true like he's like, is this a?

Speaker 1:

prank like I don't trust it, I'm not gonna follow. I don't trust it me, just Nina was so bad. I know right, making fun of the baby of the group, even though it's 40 he's like, he's only what?

Speaker 2:

three months older than him yeah, but when you're the baby, you're the baby and it just. That doesn't change the first now we're talking on Nino.

Speaker 1:

Um, they just released a Janino channel episode yes, they did talking more about it and, uh, they were ragging on Fuma, especially ragging on Nino and the rest of the follow, because Fuma was like I don't have to call you senpai, you're not part of the company. He's like Senpai Janai, he's so sassy, oh my god. And then Yamada's like yeah, senpai Janai, like I'm not to call you Senpai. Everybody started cracking up. So Nakamaru is the only Senpai. Forget Nino. He's like you're on your own now, dude, you're doing this company.

Speaker 2:

We don't have to call you Senpai in fact, we're gonna do what we want to do now. Oh my goodness, no more Nino. Well, you know not. No more Nino. No more Nino.

Speaker 1:

You're not in charge, nino exactly, he was laughing, of course, but he said that the uh episodes are gonna stay. Stay there. No, no name, you name.

Speaker 2:

Yet they have not yeah, I was gonna say I saw them talking about. You know they're trying to figure out what they're going to call it, yeah, but that everything will stay on YouTube. It's not like they're gonna wipe it out, so that's good. Yeah, everything's archived.

Speaker 1:

Yeah yes, that's good. I like that. I feel much like you should be pixelated out of the out of this video because you're not part of this company. It was more ragging on Nino. That's it, which is good. Well, of course, how many times Nino?

Speaker 2:

I was gonna say, yeah, nino.

Speaker 1:

Nino is relentless with him, so it's his turn oh, speaking of sexy sounds, one of my kids from sexy sounds, shory sato. He will be taking the stage on monster calls. I don't know monster calls. Okay, apparently it's a book. I don't know if you, I never read all this book, but there's a play. Um so shory sato. The schedule to debut? On Tokyo, in Osaka, it's gonna be in February. The play is based on an illustrated novel by American author Patrick Ness okay maybe you're, your sister may know probably the bitch, she reads everything.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, so author Patrick Ness, which was inspired by the notes of British author Sioven Downed oh, shivan shivan.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it's an Irish name. Okay, so that's what I'm like. It's not pronounced the way it looks, okay, yeah okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

So, uh, the play was supposed to be premier in Japan in 2020, but, of course, postponed to covid. Yeah, um, four years later, the British production team and Japanese cast are teaming up to bring, uh, this highly and acclimate, acclimated production to Japan. I can't talk to them and shory sato, who portrays the young boy Connor, express his excitement about the long-awaited performance. Cool, this article is pushing. If you're gonna be in Tokyo and you're gonna be in Osaka, you can get tickets.

Speaker 1:

I'm like I want to be there, I know right so it's gonna run through from at Tokyo's Parko theater from February 10th to March 3rd. Oh, should go for my birthday. I know, that's what I'm looking at you like hello, but then we'll then go to move to Osaka for from March 8th to March 17th.

Speaker 2:

Hello, my birthday, right so we got to go to Tokyo and Osaka.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, we'll go for your birthday, and then we'll go for my birthday.

Speaker 2:

We'll go to Osaka and wait, we'll get to see second lady maybe I'll be there just because we can look up second lady and be like, hey, we're here, let's party so that's another thing going on.

Speaker 1:

So if you're gonna be, you know, like I said, oh, tokyo, in Osaka, go check out the play monster balls, monster balls, monster balls.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh, I thought you said monster calls, no calls or balls monster calls, yeah, calls sorry not balls. I was like, wait a minute, it's a kids book. Why would it monster calls?

Speaker 1:

damn, I need more coffee. Oh my goodness, shorty said this girl will be like really lady. Hey, you call yourself my mom, I'm gonna bother them like seriously, I'm already in a band called sexy zone and now you're gonna put me in a plate called monster balls.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that was. That was quite the uh frady and slip oh my god, you don't even have to.

Speaker 1:

Don't even call me shorty who I'm saying you're done you're not my mom exactly. You're no longer my mom. Oh, my goodness, fuma will be laughing. He's gonna be like that's my mom oh my goodness anyways, I didn't see anything for the k-pop industry, have you? Oh, yeah, okay go ahead.

Speaker 2:

Well, we've got. Let's see. There's been some backlash for lalisa from black pink she was. She went and performed at a burlesque show at some club called the crazy horse burlesque. Whatever, she didn't do any nudity to your nudity or anything that's the funny.

Speaker 1:

There was a club in for and for a lot of. They were called the crazy horse and it was a um, let me know more than burlesque well, this is a fancy burlesque is fancy for stripping, but anyway.

Speaker 2:

So she apparently performed something there and and people are like freaking out, she didn't get naked, she just did a. You know burlesque dance. Okay performance. But um, like webo shut down her account and people have been like, oh my god, I can't believe. She did sort of like what happened when jenny did that tv show. Right, you know the hbo show, you know people are just like, oh my god, this is so offensive and blah blah. I mean people, idols don't do this, yada, yada.

Speaker 1:

So was this like a private performance, like you need to buy tickets and whatever? Was this?

Speaker 2:

I believe. So yes, it was a special. It was a special event oh. So there's. But only grown up there and just yeah, yeah, it was.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, no, absolutely and it wasn't streamed for the whole world to see.

Speaker 2:

Right this oh geez, and I guess some Chinese actress was there and the country's boycotting her now cuz she went and saw this performance.

Speaker 1:

I mean, yeah, it's because of seeing the performance.

Speaker 2:

She wasn't because of seeing the performance she was just there in the audience and it was you know.

Speaker 1:

I don't know the performance unacceptable.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, it's. That's what. That's why I said it's sort of like weird, crazy news to me, because I'm like Plenty of people go to adult entertainment, things like that. I mean, it's not, it's. I prefer burlesque over Strip playing old strip club.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely yeah cuz it's more artistic. Yeah, it's beautiful, right, and yeah it's, it's usually, like I said, an actual performance of some sort, not just someone standing up there like Taking off clothes, right? So, anyway, that's. That's the deal for poor Lalisa from black pink. Oh, I'm G. And then what else? Kpop, ov, crazy lady.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, tell me about that one. I thought you were talking about this the Selena For a shoe, go ahead.

Speaker 2:

Oh no, no. Oh well, that's awesome, but no, he had a. Some lady was waiting in the parking lot of his apartment building. Okay, followed him in, yes, followed him right into the elevator, accosted him like, waving a marriage certificate what's in his face For him to sign? What right? Like exactly crazy lady. She then fled the scene when you know security and airbryo, like what the? But they caught her because her name Information was on the marriage certificate.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god but like right, talk about.

Speaker 2:

So you know we have our dilulu moments, you know right, and there's even some scientific lady, you know some doctor, Psychology. Whatever she said, a certain amount of dilulu is fine. Exactly, you know, it's healthy, it's a positive thing.

Speaker 2:

She's like as long as you're aware that, like it's one-sided, you know them but they don't know you exactly. So you know, keep that in mind. She's like you know it's, it can be healthy. This woman went beyond. She's like completely Illusional, but anyway she is. There's not. This is a cray-cray, right? She's now in jail. So good, Everybody can rest easy. Yeah, that's your stock, I mean imagine minding your own business, going home and someone's like sign this marriage certificate. No way, crazy lady.

Speaker 2:

Well, yes, then he, he did have his that top secret saline photo shoot that he did.

Speaker 1:

I love those pictures are amazing. I love the 1950s. Look, oh the hair, this lick back here. The leather jacket oh my god.

Speaker 2:

I know right. Well, cuz you've done another one. You know where he had that red, let red leather. I'm like you. I can't seem to speak today. Red leather jacket with the twist that he was looking like James Dean, you know, this one's a little more polished. He looks so good. Yes.

Speaker 1:

He does. Oh, yes, he does.

Speaker 2:

And let's see who else. Well, in JK just released his solo album. Yes, he did, he did. He'll be in New York performing. Won't be there, huh, won't be there, no, but uh, so that was cool. And they actually he, jim and V and RM Just posted some photos Earlier today. If I'm all hanging out, it's so cute. They're all mushy together, but uh, so that's of course. We talked about that. He was releasing it on our she's anniversary, so we should say hooray, are she 24 years? We're hoping for a 25. Come back, please. Oh no, I miss you, oh.

Speaker 1:

I failed you're saying something I'm always talking about. Oh no, I'm booking a fucking fun. I am Walking his dog.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and then I don't know there was also. Did you hear about Eric Nam? He got totally.

Speaker 1:

Yes, totally like to tweet. There's some major issues going globally, internationally, and he.

Speaker 2:

I was just gonna say he's Just he's been canceling shows because he's been getting a lot of backlash. Yeah, so I feel bad for him because you know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he mentioned he was getting death threats. Threats his crew, family, yeah, everybody anybody involving with anything that has to do with him. So, yeah, yeah, he's been canceling some shows because of that, so that's unfortunate.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah so that's. I think. I think that's the only real kpop news that I have.

Speaker 1:

Mr Taemin from Shinee is out. He came out with a new album. He charted number one on, of course, itunes. He is so, oh my god, the video, geez, geez. So October 30th, taemin, whoops, whoop. Taemin made his long-awaited solo return With his mini album. Guilty, oh.

Speaker 2:

Oh that, oh, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Oh, there was a big brew, haha about that oh yeah, have you seen the move that he does with this to the hand and the shirt and the, that everybody is just like whoa.

Speaker 2:

Well know what I mean is? People are comparing his album, mini album release, like people are like it's identical to these layover. What? Yeah? Yeah, you didn't see the whole no big Twitter blow.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god.

Speaker 2:

Because some of his photo shoot stuff is looks like these stuff, some of his video stuff looks like okay, the packaging.

Speaker 1:

People were like Okay you all need to calm down, because you know there's eras that things look similar, because that's what it's trending Looks. You know, oh, this is, you know, fall of 2023. Everything's gotta look like this. Yeah like I went was a spring or summer. Remember, oh, that time that I created the colors for a musical lixer and then all the Sunday I see sexy songs. We're using the same colors for their album on summer hydrangea. Yes and I'm like, so you know it's again, it's the palette of the season.

Speaker 2:

Let's yeah, but you know how I know We've talked about fans get like possessive of things and they're like, oh my god.

Speaker 1:

Of course, because you know it's not like I'm sure you're like, yeah, it's the is the palette right now of this season, mm-hmm, you know, like fashion shows exactly you know it's the same thing. So I mean, unless it just looks exactly like the same, you know, poses and clothing and whatnot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, no, what did you say? It did?

Speaker 1:

it did come out. Come on, okay, now I'm gonna do a comparison and look at pictures here. Okay, so we're looking at.

Speaker 2:

Taemin. But see, I don't, I I don't comment on these things. You know, online stuff, when I'm looking at stuff, it's just to see what people are saying. So I was sort of when I was looking at it I'm like, okay, I see what people are saying, but that's not like you can't blame him because, like you said, it's the trends, it's what's going on, but there were just certain things that were Designed the same way. So it's, and some of the poses were actually sort of the same.

Speaker 2:

You know, he did the whole Angus look, the V did the the Angus look for one of his little photo spreads at the schoolboy shorts and the Uniform and the hat and stuff. Okay, and there's one very similar photo in his package for guilty. I don't want to feed into the, the hype of everybody being like he copied it, oh my god. But there are similarities and again, that's just what happens. Jk copied some of these stuff too With his photo shoots. So you know you can't. These are trendsetter. Come on. Yes, he is. Oh, actually, that was something funny. I was reading people were like bitching about JK's Photo spreads for Vogue and they're like I can't believe they put him in that, the punk rock one that I was saying I thought was so cool, because I had those pants.

Speaker 2:

They're like I can't believe they did this. Emo, blah, blah, and I was like he chose all of those themes himself. He was the art director for this photo shoot. So I'm like, here you are dissing, complaining that they're doing JK wrong, when he's the one who picked it all.

Speaker 1:

He's the one that picked it up Like do you research people?

Speaker 2:

So that's what I mean. I love reading this stuff for the drama because I'm like, wow, you know, like, oh, people were freaking out because V changed his. It doesn't just say V of BTS, he put like musician band layover, yeah, and they're like he changed his BTS thing. And I was like, yeah, rm and Jimin did that ages ago. Jimin doesn't even say of BTS anymore, no, and RM's is for you know his stuff. Like, do you people not pay attention to what's going on?

Speaker 1:

They just want to cause, you know, drama, drama, exactly for no parent reason. So yes. Okay, I'll look into that, but anyways, because of course all kinds of images are coming up popping everywhere, I can't make sense. They'll look amazing and all I'm doing is mesmerize.

Speaker 2:

If there was one day where, like when guilty got released and people immediately jumped on it, so it was all over my Twitter feed. It's. I'm not sure how my Twitter analog has been working. It's very strange. I get I get all kinds of random just BTS stuff all the time. What's going on? You know we we went to Suga's concert and suddenly nothing but BTS shows up on my feed. Of course it's weird. Like not even music, elixir posts I don't even get notified of those, but I have random. Oh, like not even people. I'm following nothing. It's crazy. I guess it's cause I look at the things when I see them, when I'm like, oh my God, what new drama. I don't know, do you have other news? I don't think I have.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, my team in the sound, but then everybody's having a feet.

Speaker 2:

Well, no, his fans are fine with it. Oh, of course.

Speaker 1:

It's the. You know my boy, he's an angel. Come on, he is. No, I like him too.

Speaker 2:

I do too. I was. This was not coming from me. I'm telling you what I saw on Twitter. I mean it just like it blew up all these things on my my feed. I was like, wow, so I guess because I interact with it. That's why Twitter's like she must want to see. So you want to see?

Speaker 1:

this going on Be part of the drama conversation.

Speaker 2:

Like I said, I don't interact with it. As far as I don't retweet any of it, I don't comment on any of it. I just look to see what are people getting rabid about.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, okay, no, I just I did not pay attention to that. I was doing all the stuff, I guess. So you know, you've been getting a lot of that. Now, okay, speaking of social media, so you've been receiving a lot from BTS. If you see something, I've been receiving more of the Japanese.

Speaker 2:

Oh, really yeah yeah. I don't understand why, cause the things I do post, like I put up our she songs and I like retweet people's birthdays and whatever so I don't know why it's not giving me more of that kind of interaction stuff.

Speaker 1:

That's weird because I've been getting. You know the Japanese, you know like a King on Prince's trending or Arashi's trending or something on the same thing with the other ones like Travis Japan, you know that more into the Japanese industry and I was like what's going on with? That's why I'm like is there anything going on in K-pop, cause I'm not getting that much. You're getting this.

Speaker 2:

I know, but, like I said, the stuff that I retweet is all jet Japanese J-pop stuff. That's so I don't understand what's going on with my feed. That's weird. That's X Twitter being, you know, whatever. Okay.

Speaker 1:

It is.

Speaker 2:

Maybe they're trying to force things on us.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. I don't know because you know, like I said, I'm like what's going on in the K-pop? I don't see it much because all I'm seeing is J-pop everything.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, you didn't. You didn't see Lisa, you didn't see.

Speaker 1:

No, that's why I'm like what? What did that happen?

Speaker 2:

Like a week and a half ago probably.

Speaker 1:

Huh. So yeah, it's our social media is playing with, playing heads with us, mm hmm.

Speaker 2:

It's trying to. It thinks it knows what we want to see. Yeah, Even though, like I said, cause I have notifications set for everything that's one thing, even when we put the new music elixir episodes up. I don't get that notification. Yeah, I'm like what?

Speaker 1:

So, okay, good, I'm like oh, you haven't either. No, mommy, no, not as well.

Speaker 2:

And I just said either for us.

Speaker 1:

I get the notification on Spotify Look at you but it's. I have notification on other things. I don't get to see those until somebody retweets them. Yeah, no, that's what I mean. I'm like when did this happen? I do have notifications on how come I not seeing this?

Speaker 2:

Well, exactly, cause, like why? Cause, once the episode's ready, I leave it for you to post so you can check it out before. So I'm like all right, so when she posts it I'll know. Yeah, I'm like halfway through the day, you know why haven't I seen this yet? And I go and look and I'm like well, there it is on our Twitter, so I have to go and repost it, okay.

Speaker 1:

So why putting on notifications if you're not getting them?

Speaker 2:

Exactly that's what I mean. Like X Twitter is playing games with us.

Speaker 1:

It's being selective. Yes, very selective, don't be selective on my stuff. Why are you being selective on my stuff? Because you want. You know he wants to pay.

Speaker 2:

Actually one of the things I've noticed too. It like I follow Nino and I've got notifications on for him, yeah me too. I don't know until our friend post reposts it. Okay, You're getting that too, yeah, so I'm seeing her reposting it. And then after I look at her thing, it says oh, by the way, Nino did a new whatever. I'm like oh see, that's messed up, because me too. Okay, so it's not just me, all right.

Speaker 1:

Because before, when I would posted the notifications, I always get like the Ohio, like right away, and I'm like hey, and you would have seen me like hey, it's this time in you know Massachusetts, and if you don't see me, you know replying back is because I haven't heard from him for like two hours later, Exactly.

Speaker 2:

And it's like why that's my, my same issue. So actually today, for show the Watanabe's birthday, I did get the notification from to be named.

Speaker 1:

But that's like, then you name yes.

Speaker 2:

But that's like the first when I got here and. I and I was looking at stuff. I was like, oh wow, I actually got it before someone reposted. It was in my notifications, so I don't know. It's crazy.

Speaker 1:

That is crazy, yeah, no, me too For him.

Speaker 2:

So, oh, and speaking of him, he's got his own Instagram account now.

Speaker 1:

What the Nabe yes.

Speaker 2:

No, yeah, so now I think it's just Raul Ren and girl.

Speaker 1:

Ren Meguro. Yes, he is doing some awesome things. So I finished watching trillion games. It's on Netflix. Please go check it out. Yeah, it's fun. It's, of course, hello. He's Ren, hello. He is like such a badass there. He is such a badass. It's amazing. I have not seen him on other acting in another, you know. So I cannot go by any other characters, just you know. But if I do, oh, I just have to because he was such a badass. I love, love, love, love, love him, love him. He's such a different light, you know, of course, looking like a daddy. Yes, yes, ren, yes, so go check out trillion games streaming right now on Netflix Trending too.

Speaker 2:

In my heart.

Speaker 1:

In my heart because he was amazing. He's amazing. So, yeah, check it out. You have Netflix, right? Yeah, I do. Please check it out. It's fun. It's fun, I like it. What episodes is it?

Speaker 2:

10. 10. Not many, are they like an hour? Yes? Oh, okay, so yeah, can binge watch it.

Speaker 1:

Yes, you can, All right. I mean, I could have if I wanted to, but I couldn't because family and I were watching another series. It's not Japanese or anything, this is called Ted Lasso, but this is on Apple TV. Oh okay, they got Apple TV for free. You know they're monthly right.

Speaker 1:

So they wanted to watch that. We saw that. That's another cool series. That's three seasons and they're about 30 and an hour episodes, depending. That's a cool season. Yeah Well, the background is a North American football coach was hired to coach a British football team.

Speaker 2:

Interesting. Yes, it's completely different.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, and that's yeah, that's not just to leave you right there. All right, it's awesome. There was, um, I was going to say maybe there was a. You may know more of the British actors, but supposedly one of the actors there was from one of those period acting shows, yeah, like downtown abbey or sanditin or something.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, so it's in there. I never seen downtown abbey, so I really don't know. Okay, but I thought that maybe one of the characters there was on an old soap opera that I used to watch, east enders. Oh yeah, yeah, so I think, um, one of the one of the characters was on east enders, but I'm can't, I want to double check on her name, I'm. So I was an actress. Oh okay, so yeah, east enders, I love that. Remember the theme song?

Speaker 2:

no, I don't I do.

Speaker 1:

I still remember. I love that. I remember watching it. I just remember the time of aol, oh god, yeah, yeah. So I made friends with somebody out in england and I'm like I love east enders. And then he will be like that's shite, you need to watch coron coronation street that's the best one. I'm like I don't get coronation street. He's like coronation street kicks ass, kicks arse. His tenders is shite.

Speaker 2:

I'm like don't be saying that I love east enders well, it's crazy because all those like bbc used to show all that and they don't show shows anymore, because now there's, you know, brit box and acorn and whatever, and all those yeah so it's it's hard to find all our favorite british shows now you have to subscribe to something. Yes, except for my british mysteries, those are. Yes, I can see those, thank god. So east enders.

Speaker 1:

I know people who are like what are you guys talking about now I'm telling you, we're international, we love all kinds of movies and whatever. Yeah yeah you know and music and whatnot. Like I said, I'm gonna go see bat bunny, who I can't wait to see him. Yeah, for what? He's new album.

Speaker 2:

Yo, I'm, I'm like, really okay, I'm not supposed to be listening to the art art, our five songs, but I have only been listening to the new bat bunny album oh, wow all right, you, even though you don't understand much of the spanish, but the bass girl oh yeah, well, no, I I told you the other day I was driving to the kinté, yeah, and then I heard bat bunny popped up on my you know, yeah, my liked list that I listened to in between.

Speaker 1:

You know well, you need to see this his latest, his latest, even family, was like whoa, I can't believe he made he is like, he's like I, I I really respect him as an artist after he made this video. I don't because he he did something that I was like what really? You know, bat bunny's bat bunny? I know they were like, oh, he's like perverted. Baba blunt is like, yeah, a lot of his lyrics, but you don't know racy for sure racy.

Speaker 1:

Is this kind of tame compared to what? How you, I know spanish, so I'd be like damn boy.

Speaker 2:

But um well, why don't we'll? We'll do that after. Okay, we're supposed to be.

Speaker 1:

Well, it's a rancid ramblings, I suppose I know so anyways, but yeah, I'll play it to you, okay. And then, uh, you tell me, unless you just want to see it now, then you'll be like what the look when I finish there. Okay, you tell me, I got the video right there well, I guess we could watch it.

Speaker 2:

I'll give my reaction and then we'll end the show. How's that?

Speaker 1:

okay, all right. So all right, we'll be back all right, so give me your review of this video and the song well, awesome.

Speaker 2:

I don't know what the song was about, but the video was so cool because that was filled with all of the like german horror, film noir, like silent era stuff, the nasfaratu, the cabinet of dr caligari, awesome, awesome, the somnambulist in nasfaratu.

Speaker 1:

I love that I know I was like, well, I'm like, is he doing this because you know, it actually debuted on halloween? Hold on, or it just just he just wanted to do it because, let's see, yeah, he debuted, it just dropped on halloween, okay on the 31st so what's the song about?

Speaker 1:

well, it's called batikano, but I'm thinking like it's vatican, but not really, unless she just did a play on words with the bat, with some bat. Okay, uh, batikano it's. He is well kind of like the characters here. He is like the perfect predator. Okay, of, like you know, I can, I can really trap you, you you know, with my, with my artistry, with what I do, you know, and I can do whatever you want, you know, and leave you like an on. Okay, it's, yeah, but but it's, it's weird, I don't know how can I say this. There's some, there's some lyrics. There's like I don't know who you are, I don't know where I am, I don't you know. Like you know, I don't you, things like that, and it's like, but I, I, it's weird, how can I? That's why I love him so much, because some of his lyrics are and even though there's a lot of raunchiness, it has some philosophy on it kind of like big, uh, by okay when he just talks about.

Speaker 1:

He's very philosophical in his lyrics but with b y he's not has that raunch as per bad bunny. He's just like. You know. He's always talking about private parts and what he's doing with his private parts with two, your private parts got you yeah and then the private parts of your friend and your mom, and you know, so you know yeah, so it's.

Speaker 1:

You know he he always makes in the the erotica, just to say it nicely with something deep meaning to it. Okay it's, yeah, that's why I'm like I love him so much and I know that his words are not fancy on the way he wants to. That's why he everybody's like he is so raunchy. Yeah, because he's saying the raunchy words, because that's the most shocking when you're talking about the c word and the p word and the d word, which I'm not saying it instead of just seeing it more politically you know, I was gonna say, instead of innuendo and hinting at it, he just comes right out and says it exactly, okay, yeah, exactly, all right, I get you so the.

Speaker 2:

The video is perfect.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, video was awesome I was like, I was like wait, just for halloween. I'm like, see this way, you love him, you don't know what to expect and then he comes out with something like this is he's awesome?

Speaker 2:

no, that was definitely cool. And if that was his concept and his idea, it definitely definitely shows that he's a a thinker and someone with multiple interests and ideas, because, I mean, I don't know that many other people who know nas feratu and the cabinet of dr coligari like, unless you're into that kind of stuff and he's like 27, I think yeah, yeah, he is young. So well, you know, maybe his parents were into all of that, who knows?

Speaker 1:

or he just I don't know open his mind you know, he's a pisces very true, you know he's a pisces, so he's it.

Speaker 1:

You know he, he just starts looking at something and studies it and gets into it and, you know, learns more about it. And uh, he's one definitely that's always thinking outside the box. That's why a lot of people gives him shit about it. Actually, on this album it's uh, which is called no sabe que va a pasar mañana, like you don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. This one is very different from the last album. There's actually one song that he talks about his own mental health, that he very right through, very open about it. Yes, I was like again, very bluntly, this is what's going on in my head, okay, and because I'm thinking this is a yeah, because he has reached that epitome of like, I guess fame that it really gets a toll on you, because people are gonna be like yeah, I know you man, and what it is like in some lyrics.

Speaker 1:

It's like you always say that you know me, but you don't really know me you know, you will call my my name, but you really don't know what it means. It's almost like, yeah, like he's like out, and sometimes, yeah, and sometimes I'll be rude, I will throw your your phone back at you, like people's like.

Speaker 2:

Oh, take pictures well, that's what we were talking about. The a certain amount of dilulu is okay, but you've got to remember you know him, but he doesn't know you and he owes you nothing because he doesn't know you, you know exactly oh man, but very cool definitely check out the the video people benito bonamatch chance two days, two days before my birthday in 94, so it's 29 actually.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, actually one of his lyrics he said I can retire at 33 if I want to I'm like damn boy, you know, and he's like as money, and money is made to be to be spent. If you got it exactly, oh man, generating over 18.5 billion streams in 2022, wow, yeah, the last album was awesome, but this one, yeah. Benito antonio martine jocacio, aka bad bunny, bad bunny, all right, all right, girl check him out.

Speaker 2:

Check him out. No, he's good, he's awesome. Yes, yes, definitely very good music, thank you thank you, everybody for listening to this episode randome rambling.

Speaker 1:

This really rands and rambling for sure it was exactly so rate, review and share share share give us five stars because we love constellations.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, oh subscribe, yes, please help us achieve our dreams. Please subscribe.

Speaker 1:

We want to get to tokyo and Osaka, oh yes even though shoddy will be like no, she messed up the name of my show. Don't want her, she's not my mother anymore. Come on, I did lulu, hear people come on. Probably never hears the podcast. Maybe kentie and maybe fuma, maybe maybe, maybe all right till next time.

Speaker 2:
