DJ Panic Blog:
OK ASIA

Speaker 1:

Hello, this is Teneq and this is Sarah and you are listening to Music Elixir a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists' music.

Speaker 2:

Welcome everybody to another episode of Music Elixir. I'm Sarah, and with me is Teneq. Maybe he'll catch up if I say Teneq, yeah, now that you've said that it'll be a P.

Speaker 1:

If you are new to the podcast, welcome. It's not Teneq, it's Panic, but check out some older episodes of where. Why am I saying Teneq is a little panic? Yeah, you know the AI is not perfect, but then there was, there was one song that we were talking about and I'm thinking I hope the bass player is not an AI, because it was so good Open, it was real yet. So, who knows, maybe, who knows, maybe we'll find out later on. Yeah, that's true, but today is the Ranson rambling. Yes, well, we think of some things else. So whenever this comes out, it's, you know, this holidays.

Speaker 1:

So Miss Sarah and I will probably be taking some weeks off, you know, to spend it with our families you know, so we may not have an episode, or maybe you can do some clip it and clip some of our favorite talks and just make an episode you know, well, I have, I have so many like little outtakes and blooper kind of things week that I could.

Speaker 2:

I could just do that string together. You know random nonsense.

Speaker 1:

You know our podcast is going to turn three.

Speaker 2:

I know, Isn't that crazy it is our pocket is a toddler.

Speaker 1:

It's gonna be a toddler and we still do shenanigans like it's a toddler.

Speaker 2:

I know, every time I think about that, I'm just like wow, I just I always feel like we've just started doing this Right. What three years we have.

Speaker 1:

How many episodes, oh my God it's crazy, it is that can't believe. It's like I'm thinking we just started this, this podcast thing. How can it be already that that you know old, the same thing, old you know by the third year, when the idol group you started like this one down, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

Anyways, now we're going strong. I mean, look at me, look at, okay, it has been already six years, I know, wow, six, oh, wow, that's crazy too, that is crazy, wow. So, anyway, so today we are going to randomly pick up some news that we have seen A little tip it Red, you know, and we're just going to give our opinion. You know, and I'm sure you know, everybody will have an opinion on this and whatever topics that we're going to talk about, you know this is just a conversation amongst friends and sometimes you get heated debate and sometimes everybody's just chill and yeah, you know yeah, like right now I'm just seeing one that there's a lot of people who are right now just just bad chick just mad for, for there's so many, I know but this one because it just happened just recently.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we're recording on November 18th, so I want to say that on November 17th, the last rock stars have postponed their Los Angeles concert due to unforeseen circumstances.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I saw that.

Speaker 1:

People are not happy, of course. The wonder, like playing tickets and hotel stay, how can I get that back? And I'm like, first of all playing tickets, you can use them for something else. You know, you did not lose any money there. Hotel unfortunately on, you know yeah it's you may, depending on the hotel.

Speaker 2:

you probably will lose money, but I mean well, you know, take this as an opportunity. You are already planning this trip. Just go enjoy yourself. Right, there's it's because it's postponed till August of next year, exactly. So you, you know what I mean. You got time, you can just plan a new trip, exactly. I've actually I've had to do things like that before where I'm like, well damn, I'm not getting my money back, it's Los Angeles.

Speaker 1:

So I mean there's so much going on in Los Angeles.

Speaker 2:

There's so much to do.

Speaker 1:

Exactly so. Let's say, the money that you were going to spend on merch and whatever, buy some things. I mean it's just around the holidays, get some things, some Christmas shop. I mean holiday shopping. Yeah, we do Christmas. Okay. So, like you know, like me, to do some Christmas shopping, find something unusual for your loved one or whatever, or for yourself.

Speaker 2:

Right, you know, just enjoy, enjoy the time. It was like I said I that happened to me once and I was like, yeah, well, damn, I'm not losing that money, I may as well just go exactly just hop on that plane.

Speaker 1:

stay at that hotel Now, just a nice time, you know, if it's you're there for the day, you know take that break from work that you need so badly.

Speaker 2:

Exactly that's why I did mine. I was like, well, why just hang around at home? You know, yeah, I took the time off from work. I don't want to lose my time off.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Because you know a lot of us here. Your job is like you only have so much time and you have to use it by such and such so you know, take it, enjoy yourself, Exactly Relax.

Speaker 1:

I mean, come on, no people, I wait how many years did we wait for pet shop boys?

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, in new order. Yeah, you know, I got those tickets right when the pandemic hit and they were like we're postponing till next year and we were like well, okay, okay. And then the next year they're like we're postponing another year. I'm like what we're like, okay, two and a half years, we waited to go. Yes, you know thinking about this.

Speaker 1:

You know, things happen, people things happen, you know, and something happened, and of course, but no people are demanding why, like why is postponed you? Know, wanted to know why I mean well, okay, you can't just well you know the unforeseen circumstances. You know that happens.

Speaker 2:

Well, I was going to say you've got four people who do this project together but have individual commitments as well. They're, they're all. I mean Miyabi is like a solo artist, he's kind of solo. Hyde is in a group, he works with a band. So Gizo, I mean the guy's like all over the place. So you know, I mean, anything could have happened and could be personal things going on with someone. We all know Yoshke's got neck problems, wrist and hand problems, you know. I mean something could have come up there.

Speaker 1:

So you know plus, he lost, you know, a band member. Yes, I was going to say were we going to touch on?

Speaker 2:

yeah, recently Heath, yeah, passed away. He passed away. He was battling cancer. Yeah, they discovered that way too late. He'd been sick starting at the beginning of the year and just sort of progress snowballed and that's very unfortunate To ex Japan and a couple of other bands lost a very key player.

Speaker 1:

Yes. Yes, because he was another musician who was at, like other projects as well you know, was just not only ex Japan.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he worked all over the place.

Speaker 1:

Yes, A lot of these musicians, just like them. They have multiple, besides their solo projects, other projects. You know, they're like hands on everything, Exactly. You know they. That's why they're musicians.

Speaker 2:

Well, that's always keeping busy.

Speaker 1:

So you know, for those fans that are like demanding what is the on first scene circumstances, you know like you need to chill out. You know I would like to know you. So, like, what are you doing?

Speaker 2:

I want to know what you do when you call out from work. We all want you to tweet out exactly why exactly why you're not working.

Speaker 1:

You know what do you mean you calling out? What is it? What is the?

Speaker 2:

you know yeah, and you've got to tell everybody why exactly and why did that happen?

Speaker 1:

What did you do before you know this is. That's ridiculous.

Speaker 2:

And compensate everybody for the time they have to cover you while you're out.

Speaker 1:

It's crazy, oh my God.

Speaker 2:

But no, you know it is disappointing, but it's, things happen.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, life is crazy and and people need to chill out. And now that I'm saying people need to chill out, I know this, that this person is not a musician, but you, suru Hanyu? Oh, I know, no, come on.

Speaker 2:

That's heartbreaking.

Speaker 1:

That I was. I was. I heard the news yesterday. Family is the very, very love. We love him. He's a great skater, a figure artist, great figure yeah definitely super talented he announced his marriage right after when he announced his retirement of that was, you know, competing.

Speaker 2:

I think it was like August, and then he announced also I'm married.

Speaker 1:

You know he announced that he got married and it's like wow, that's awesome, you know. But it's just when this is show people were stalking his partner. They were Tabloids everywhere that it. It broke down his partner and Because you pseudo loves his partner so much, he decided to divorce. It's or they decided to divorce. This is crazy.

Speaker 2:

Well, he was saying that the Tabloids and people, just regular people were harassing his partner, partners, family partners, co -workers. Oh my god, I mean like People were digging deep to try and get dirt on them and what's going on.

Speaker 1:

And that's just so.

Speaker 2:

It's such a shame because I mean like not even three months together and they have to To split up in the way he. He was saying you know, I'm doing this for the the health and safety and Happiness of my partner. I don't want them to be living, yeah, like this and unfortunately that may not even solve the problem, because they're they're already Connected. You know, yeah, people still want and now it's gonna be like why, why? What happened? Why are you even though he's stated it's because of all you crazies that people are gonna be like what? You know, there's got to be something more.

Speaker 1:

Mmm, you know how people get exactly, that's so that's exactly he married a non-celebrity, you know because it's like oh, non-celebrity.

Speaker 2:

What that's why it's like.

Speaker 1:

Who's this non-celebrity? Yeah, who's this general person? You know who is this, so that's why people got crazy. Like what that is so insane? I know you know, and yeah, oh, people you know, and this is coming out of Japan and I'm disappointed. You know a country who is very they help each other, but then doing this with each other is it hard, it my heart breaks, you know, because I always seen this nation very polite and Respectful, yeah, yeah and respectful and this happening no well, you, you got crazies everywhere.

Speaker 2:

So this.

Speaker 1:

That's insane, that's just insane. And speaking of crazy, I know got crazies everywhere. I am crazy, I mean.

Speaker 2:

I'm not normal, nobody's normal. I don't know what you're talking about being normal.

Speaker 1:

I think there's something, something that is abnormal. Somebody other killing people yeah, that is abnormal.

Speaker 2:

Well, in stocking someone, though yeah, I mean hunting them down, unless it was like, specifically, a fan meet, you know, meet and greet, whatever thing. I've never like gone out of my way to try and be where somebody is. Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1:

Find a hobby. How can you have so much time to stalk somebody? Exactly, do something productive with yourself. Do something that it will, you know, enrich yourself. What are you? That is not a hobby. Stalking somebody and going after somebody, that's not a hobby? Definitely not, no find something artistic to do, find something that it will help a community you know, volunteer your time.

Speaker 1:

Volunteer your time to like I don't know clean up beaches. You know that, you know. Or, or clear, be part of a garden, or you know that's just no, that is so toxic. It is it's like a people are like oh, I'm so boring, whatever, there's so much to do out there. And communities do need people, need volunteers.

Speaker 2:

You know, do that, find some volunteer work to help your community, help your fellow man. Yes, exactly, instead of hunting. I'm down at his apartment or at his you know place of work.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly Exactly Now. If you are a private investigator and you're getting paid for this, I get this. It's your job, I.

Speaker 2:

Was thinking that I was like, and if this is what you want to do, you know, but you would have to you'd be doing, you know, sort of day-to-day kind of investigations, like if you're a law enforcement yeah yeah, yeah, someone who's you know making false insurance claims, so you follow them around to watch them skateboarding. After they claim they're hit their back at work. Yeah, then there you're getting paid. You're helping out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you're still helping out the community. But let's, let's say if it's a, you know healthy, you know an insurance company, because you know that's what happens people are scamming insurance companies and what your insurance rate and goes up because you have scammers like this.

Speaker 2:

And then people who need the help don't get it because there's so many false claims going on exactly.

Speaker 1:

So you know what. That is something, yeah, you're getting paid for and it's something that you are actually helping your community, helping everybody out there. So not to pay them damn premiums, they're so damn expensive.

Speaker 2:

Put your sneaky skills to good use right, exactly, instead of creeping on famous people who are just trying to live their life exactly on people who are doing something wrong.

Speaker 1:

And in the obsession of, like you know, finding out what they're doing. No, it's you know, you little is a person just like you and I. He just keeps, that's it. Just like you know we do clerical, just you know. Like somebody you know flipping burgers, you know they're a cook.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, it's just his job. It's a job.

Speaker 1:

You know, yes, people do admire them. You know, whatever, you know what, I'm gonna start admiring that cook, especially my favorite sushi guys. You know I'm not gonna be going after waiting for chef to come out of the Restaurants see what he's doing and then stalk him because I love the way he makes sushi rice or whatever. You know. No, yeah, so you need to see idols this way it. They're everyday people with a job. I mean being an idols, not, or you know, figure, olympic skater. It's hard work, but no, it's just. It's another person that they're trying to live their own lives.

Speaker 1:

They're just a human being happy, just like you're trying to be happy being so infatuated. It's not not helping them or yourself, you know. Oh, my god boy, that was definitely a rant. It's my some ramblings, girl, and I was just really mad about this because it's no, I know it was heartbreaking to read it, it really was it is heartbreaking, and another one that, yeah, I was gonna.

Speaker 1:

This today is gonna be a little dark because I heard that one of the people who were in the lawsuit or the compensation for Johnny Kitagawa's unfortunately committed suicide because, again, of people stalking and harassing and this person, just guy, could not take it anymore. And unfortunately that happens again. You're not there, you're not in their shoes. How about if it?

Speaker 2:

happens to you. Yeah, do you want people doing that? And the fact that it was like all or not all, but a lot of online specifically, yeah, where people you know they hide behind a username that nobody knows who you are so you can be Cruel and bullying and it's. It's awful and I, you know, I really, and you see it a lot everywhere. Like I said, a lot of things I read, I don't interact with things, but I'll look at stuff because I'm like what? What are people doing? Why do you even need to comment on this? Right, if you, if you don't like what they're saying or they're doing, as long as it's not hurting everybody else, like this person was just speaking their truth and what happened to them and you know what I mean yeah, so why do you have to be Nasty about it? Right? You know, again, just living their life and trying to move on and you're going at them.

Speaker 2:

I just never understand this. It's like we say with music if you, if you don't like it, just don't listen. You know it takes you however long 30 seconds a minute, maybe you listen to the whole thing. You don't like it. You don't have to listen to it ever again. Nobody's making you.

Speaker 2:

No so, just if you, you know, I mean, this isn't we're talking. We're not talking about huge high politics or, you know, philosophical debate. We're talking about someone's life, yeah, someone's experience. You know. Keep your opinion about that to yourself, to yourself, exactly, you know. Yeah, it's not up for debate. What happened to these people? It happened. Yeah, there's Investigations, things, proof, you know. So just leave them alone you know they've been through enough. Yeah, they have sorry, that was my rant.

Speaker 1:

You know it's needed to be said because it's like so much is happening and like this. You know Just people on social media just being Complete assholes, complete monsters.

Speaker 2:

Let's say you know, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

They're, and they're cowards because they're behind the screen just saying whatever they want. Mm-hmm. They don't say it to the person's face, which you should on either you know exactly. So yeah, everybody please, oh, my god, find the hobby.

Speaker 2:

Well, also, just have some respect. You know, as you were saying, think of, think of things that you've been through, and how would you feel if people judged you on it all the time and had to make a comment? Like you know, you were walking through work and you dropped a cup of coffee onto the printer and it blew up. And then everybody, every time they see you, they got to talk about you blew up the printer. Yeah, it wears on you that happened?

Speaker 1:

are you know?

Speaker 2:

I'm just, I'm yeah, you know, and that's. That's just something simple. But like when people Nag at you about it, even if they think they're being funny or cute or you know what are the the pressure Just can build on someone. Trama is not something you just get over, no, not something you can just, you know. No, la dee dah, whatever it happens.

Speaker 1:

You know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

So you can't, can't, keep digging at people and no, and pushing them.

Speaker 1:

You know, it's just digging or blaming them because of right what things are happening? Because they're a fault, not like it's not their fault.

Speaker 2:

No, exactly.

Speaker 1:

It's not their fault that they got into a situation or that situation happened to them that just like oh, I'm gonna do this, you know, and, and now you have. That's why a lot of victims like this. They don't want to come out, male or female, because of this.

Speaker 2:

The victim blaming Exactly. Well, what did you do Exactly? How come you didn't you know?

Speaker 1:

move away or run away, or did this and now you're talking about it. You know they are calling these victims, you know gold diggers and what you know no no yeah. So you know, luckily, hopefully this will not happen to you the blame or in Picker and just the monster, because you're being a monster, come on, you're being a monster, just you know. I do believe in karma.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So just be aware that you know I don't wish that upon the haters and the monsters on the internet, right, but just believe that karma is there and if it happens to you, you know, then you will probably realize. Oh, I was wrong on, you know, judging you and saying all this stuff.

Speaker 2:

Right, you know, consider yourself lucky if you haven't had something like this, right, but then respect the fact that this does happen. Someone has experienced this and even if you do, know you can't speak for them and how they're going to feel about things and how they're going to handle it, and you really just respect people's space, respect people's personal experience, because it's not yours and you can't. You know, I mean, it's very easy to jump on things and be like, well, why did they say that? But keep it to yourself. Yeah, especially, don't go after them about it. Why are you feeling that? Why are you behaving that way?

Speaker 1:

Exactly.

Speaker 2:

It's just not cool. No, be respectful and turn the tables. Think about if it was you. How would you feel Exactly?

Speaker 1:

You know there's a good trick out there that if you're feeling that much pain and just hatred towards whatever person or person, whatever situation is, write it down, write as much as you want on a piece of paper and when you feel like you're done writing it, rip it off. You know, get that. You know, get it, rip it off. If you have like a, you know a fire pit out there, build up a fire and burn it, shred it, let it go out, let it out, you know. And if you still feel it like that, keep writing, keep writing, just keep writing it, you know, and just burn it, rip it off, put it in the trash. Because that's what it is. Those words are trash, you know. That's just just, just, yes, pent up anger. That is trash that you need to let out. Yep, yeah, don't, don't, don't use a computer and leave it in there.

Speaker 2:

You need to actually just write it down and destroy it, though Destroy it Definitely.

Speaker 1:

Definitely. That's a great tip that I saw somewhere and I'm like you know what? That is right, you know? Hmm, just do that. You know, just scribble it, even with the bag. It doesn't even have to be perfectly grammatically.

Speaker 2:

I was going to say you know words, whatever. Just write all the the angry words in your head and destroy them and destroy it and it's great. You know I'm a drink too, or maybe not, if you get like an angry drunk, no.

Speaker 1:

So if you have a need to write down that about that person, get a piece of paper and write everything down and destroy it. I believe that's a great tip, instead of going into social media and being being the whole pick it and fire. You know social media.

Speaker 1:

No, no. Anyways, good news, let's move on to something more, more, more, more cheery. Yeah. So Hiro Mitsuki the Yama from kit miss kiss my foot has a new single, oh, renshin. I played it, it's awesome. Video is out, it's good. It's so different, though it's so different. So I'm going to read this a little bit of an article, a little bit on this article that I found Okay. So Hiro Mitsuki the Yama introduces his first digital single, renshin, with a visual, dynamic music video, which I have not seen yet and let's see blah, blah, blah. I think he's on there to be. Is he on the tacky now?

Speaker 2:

Yes, he did go to to be. Oh, he's with to be. I think I believe so, if I'm thinking of the right, right news.

Speaker 1:

Yes, he is with to be. Okay, yes, he is with to be. So, of course, another, another one who left the to be named company to now with tacky, and let's see how many, how many more, because there's yeah, right now there has been some that are opening their own eight. We have Nino. He's his own agent. Oh, did you saw the Nino picture? Yes, me, the baby. He was wearing already yellow.

Speaker 2:

Well, it's so funny. He looks so like him. Right, you would know immediately that that was me, me.

Speaker 1:

Like when you begin a bigger he's so cute. But the yellow pants I'm like yeah yellow was the color since the beginning.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

No, no, no face. You know when he looks like a little devil.

Speaker 2:

Trouble me. Oh well, there's some. You know our. She always had like little photo spreads and they'd show them as as little kids and they're somewhere. You just knew he was growing up, growing up to be a pain in the butt. He's got that little like, like he'd smirk at the camera like mm. Hmm, you knew the little wheels were turning in his head and he was coming up with a plan to be a pain in the butt.

Speaker 1:

He's just getting. I like his little leggies with the big pants, so cute. I'm like, oh my God, this is so adorable. Nino you're so adorable. And the hair Wow, he's doing a lot of hair. So yeah, cutie so yes, like I was saying, some members have actually started their own companies, they're agents and whatnot. I'm like, oh my God. So yeah, this has been something developing, even in snowman. We got you know your boy, Daisuke, it's his own agent as well as Watanabe, so that's why we've seen some things and I'm like wow.

Speaker 1:

I'm like okay, so a lot of fans are like confused in, like how can you be in a group and then be your own thing? And then it's like you can do it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, make your own terms, you can do it.

Speaker 1:

You know, and I mean we've seen it on Kpop idols, several of them, yeah, yeah, that's what they're doing. I don't know. Yeah, a lot of fans are confused, like you're in a company, but not with the company, and but you're your own thing, but you're with the group.

Speaker 2:

Well, you're a free agent working with a group within a company, so you've left that major organization to make your own decisions about how you're going to work within that group. Right, yeah, it is. It is definitely confusing, but as long as Daisuke Maudenobbi stay with Snowman, so that we have our snowman, that's all good.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, we want it Snowman to leave the company and go to Witagi but you know. I don't think that is happening.

Speaker 2:

We want them to come to the US to do a tour. Yeah, that's what we want.

Speaker 1:

Yes, please, yes, please, yes, please See what else do we have?

Speaker 2:

I noticed something, because there was some in the in the K-pop news, k-pop world. Did you see your baby? Opa RM had accidentally posted a picture of himself smoking. Did you see? This whole thing I did All right. Now what I find kind of funny is you and I have talked, I think, one of our last rants in our two rants and ramblings ago we were talking about.

Speaker 2:

Come on, everybody your favorite smokes, just whatever. Exactly All of our she smokes. I'm thinking at this point probably Well, I don't know about J-Hope, but everybody else in BTS probably smokes. But what's so funny about this is then, like I don't know, a day or two later, was it a member of Shiny or TXT, I can't remember. But somebody else yes, they Subin, Maybe. All I know is I saw the blurb of someone, saw a picture of him smoking, and I was like I feel like we had done this rants and ramblings, talk about smoking a while ago, and then we did another one. You know your idol smoke.

Speaker 2:

I feel like they all listened to it. We're like, they're right, we do. We're going to show everybody.

Speaker 1:

We have said that Everybody smokes. Yeah, we talked about ages ago All your idol smokes.

Speaker 2:

Like two years ago, when, when Tae got busted, we were talking about we were like what you know? Why is everybody?

Speaker 1:

I love Tae because he's like I don't get enough, I do smoke and he's out there. He's not behind nobody, he's not hiding it. He's like, yeah, I do smoke, here I am. He's even told I think it was his body guard. He's like give me a cigarette.

Speaker 2:

He's like well hello.

Speaker 1:

Remember that time that our M was holding a lighter and then, when he realized he put it on it real quick and I'm like dude, come on, that's the sign that he smokes.

Speaker 2:

Well he was, he could sort of play that off, but this actual picture, and then, of course, everybody's giving him shit and he's like yo, it's my life, come on JK smoking out there. Yeah, you know, that was the big one where we were talking, where we brought up, like, like I said, r or she smokes. And then you know, we've seen pictures of so many idols.

Speaker 1:

They're grownups. They're an eagle age for smoking. Yes, they know that is bad for your health. Yes, they know all that stuff. But let me tell you we all up on their shit is so stressful. Yeah, I need a cigarette.

Speaker 2:

Exactly and and sort of like all the other stuff we've talked about earlier. You know you, you have your opinion and it's fine, and we know you're worried about your idols health and but you know what Getting online and giving them shit isn't going to get you any. You know praise from them for sure, but it was just weird because, like I said, we we had we talked about a couple of years ago and then we brought it up again more recently because of a couple of things, and now suddenly everybody's getting caught smoking. I was like, is that because you and I are like, come on, your idols smoke.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, baby up is like. You know what they were talking about, I'll smoke and you know, I know. Thank you, baby, I'll buy baby up, do? You know we always talk about him and you know he, oh my God, that time with that song, please, it was just a song, I know right. You know, and you know, baby up by your good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know.

Speaker 1:

I'll be out and smoke it up.

Speaker 2:

Well, I mean he just gotten the camera bashed into his eye and cut it open and have that stitches. So you know, he needed a cigarette. We need a cigarette after that. Come on.

Speaker 1:

Just get a little thing I know poor thing yeah. He's like look at my boo, boo and I'm like whole kiss it, Don't make it theater, oh my God. But yeah, it's like, don't worry, You'll be going to the military. You know, I'm like it was like go to the military and I'm like go to the military, get some time off. You know we'll take you go.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You know, do something different, you know and God. So, oh my God, so after coming back from the military GD I know GD is being out- for a while.

Speaker 2:

Oh, GD, I thought you said JD. I'm like who's that?

Speaker 1:

No, GD, gd, g-dragon, like now. Why is this resurfacing again about his drug issues? I don't know.

Speaker 2:

And they're saying that they're going on the word of one person.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

Speaker 2:

So there's not. It's not like there's pictures of him doing whatever he supposedly was doing. There's not, it's. One person said that he does drugs and that's where this investigation came from.

Speaker 1:

That's too bad.

Speaker 2:

Seriously.

Speaker 1:

Who said that? Yg? Because you know they're, they need money and they and they're, you know, going back after you know their old idols, just to you know, feel better for themselves. I don't know, this is just me saying well what?

Speaker 2:

what was funny was I saw sort of like this live clip of him going into the I think it was to the police station for his drug testing stuff and like he's so sassy, yeah, he's sort of like smirking Like he's like, tell me all you want.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, everybody's taking pictures and you could sort of see in his mind like he's like well, they're photographing me, so I should smile, but this is a serious moment so I shouldn't smile. So he had this funny little smirk on his face. I was like, oh my God, it's so perfect.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, no, he's like, he's like, whatever.

Speaker 2:

Whatever you want to do, I'm an idol, I'm supposed to be like playing it up for the cameras, exactly.

Speaker 1:

But wait, serious moment.

Speaker 2:

Hmm, I'm in trouble. What should I do? It's GD G-Dragon, I know he sort of does everything on his own. Yeah, little plane of reality.

Speaker 1:

This does why you gotta love him, you know yeah.

Speaker 2:

He's a genius To me my eyes.

Speaker 1:

He's a genius, you know, and that's why he's like whatever.

Speaker 2:

Well, it's so weird to see him with just his hair combed straight down, yeah, and wearing a suit and stuff.

Speaker 1:

It all looked weird when they have to do some legal shit. You know, because I'm like damn, what happened to your hair. You know, it's like they need to have jet black hair, no color hair at all, and it has to be straight. You know, yeah, it's wow. Yeah, like not shave heads or nothing like that, unless you go into the military. Yeah, it's weird. Yeah, I've not seen that.

Speaker 2:

I'm like yo, you look so different.

Speaker 1:

You look so normal dude, I know right. So I can't wait till this is over.

Speaker 2:

So this is over with the glasses, you know, sort of like I'm just a normal guy, yeah With that plain, just crappy suits.

Speaker 1:

I mean I may not be crappy, I don't think it's crappy, but you know they have to like tone down everything, right, you know he's always with vibrant, crazy, you know colors and textures, and then he make up in this and also he's hairs always doing something out.

Speaker 2:

You know, just cool you know, or with the big bucket hat, you know, whatever, exactly One or the other.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 2:

But like, yeah, just having to look like an average citizen going in, for you know it just looks weird, yeah, the other stuff is not normal for us.

Speaker 1:

That's weird. Yeah, I'm like dude. No, you look too weird. You're weird, dude Go back to your old self, please. This is not right. Get your nails done for something. Please Put your earrings back on. This is crazy, I know, right, yeah, just seem like.

Speaker 2:

I said, like just an average office guy walking by you in the street. You're like you know.

Speaker 1:

But you know what he's. He's going to be fine. We know that he is going to be fine, but oh my God, I know, yeah, is this like his second time around going through this?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, third, maybe it's not. It's not the first time for poor G Dragon. No, I'm like move to the US Marry an American and move over here.

Speaker 1:

I love all these idols. Should married an American and move over here, or Canadian, you know, just move over here and then you'll be like, oh, I'm going to be. Like, I'm going to be like I'm going to be a little bit better. You know, yeah, it's just missing in Notch notch. Anyways, what else is out there that we can chat and just rant about?

Speaker 2:

Well, I don't know. Oh well, remember what was it a couple of weeks ago, poor, I was telling you. Lisa from Blackpink.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

Is getting you know crap. Well, finally, some good news for her. Ok, she reached the Billionaires Club on Spotify. So she has like her song, or a couple of songs, have been streamed like a billion times. So she got some big billboards all around Times Square and everybody celebrate. So good news for her after the tongue lashing she got for performing at the burlesque show.

Speaker 1:

So you know, OK, so we were talking about. You know he heard doing a burlesque Show. There were less performance and how people are just giving her. Everybody was like you know, oh, you were there, like you told me that Chinese actress was being, you know, blocked, or something you know like.

Speaker 2:

Well, she was just getting dragged for even being in attendance which is being in there. She didn't participate, she was just watching.

Speaker 1:

Exactly A burlesque performance, like we have said. You know she's not going to be out there. In her there's nakedness, and you know what, you know how she came to the world Some do Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. All right, we're talking about Lisa, oh yeah, yeah, you know she is to do a burlesque performance.

Speaker 1:

She will be in a bikini, which everybody wears, a bikini on the beach. So just because she is dancing and a bikini, or you know, or dancing to reveal a bikini, now if you are Dita Von Teese, now that's your performance and that's what you do. She ain't Dita Von Teese. If you don't know who Dita Von Teese is, please look her up. She's amazing, right, I love her, but that's the thing.

Speaker 2:

That's burlesque, exactly. Is about artistry and performance. Right, it's not just a plain old strip club, whatever. No, it's, it's a whole big thing. It's. It's a show. It's a show people, people dress up to go to burlesque shows. Yeah, or they used to. I don't know about now, but you know it was an event. It was like going to the theater to see a play. Yeah, you know, I mean, it was going to watch the opera. It was a big to do. You were going.

Speaker 1:

I mean it's.

Speaker 2:

Some places it's sort of you know, spiral downward to a less classy thing, but for the most part, yeah, famous places known for this. It was an art form, yeah. You know, and that's what she was doing.

Speaker 1:

It's the art form of being a tease. You know, you know if, look, yeah, you know what, look the meaning for burlesque. You know, look at the meaning of burlesque Now, a strip show is a strip show, right? Strip show meaning you're completely naked. A burlesque, but even if, like Dita Bontiz, does her burlesque, Even though it's relatively almost nothing that she's wearing, she does wear pasties, so she's still kind of covered. So we'll see. I mean, we never seen Lisa's performance or Burlesque performance, but I am assuming she will be in a bikini, right, that's as per just being in pasties like Dita.

Speaker 1:

Bontiz, which she, you know she'll take a little bit more being on a thong and, of course, pasties, but she's a professional. Dita Bontiz, I'm talking, please. I'm sure Lisa was just was in a bikini.

Speaker 1:

But you gotta think about this. Have you seen also some of the outfits that these ladies have to wear while they dancing on stage Right during their concerts? Yeah, that you can just hello. Sometimes you may see something will slip. Or you may see something because they got to do a move, that their skirt or whatever. You know they see Dukes is way too high. Well, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Rosé had the straps to her little thingy. Pop out, Break Like yeah, like broke in the front was going to fall off and she's wandering around trying to find someone to help her get it back on. So I mean, yeah, it's, it happens, and some of some of the performers here in the US you can't even say what they're wearing is actually an outfit.

Speaker 1:

Well, there was, I think oh, I just saw it was a reel that I saw that Beyonce was having a. Yeah, wardrobe malfunction.

Speaker 2:

On the top region, thank God her dancer noticed.

Speaker 1:

So she started dancing in front of her so like she can just do a move and like bring it back in, bring the girl in front of her, bring the girls back in. Because she was like too happy and it's just like what, what, what. So the dancer was just like I'm all right, I'm here, I'm here, I'm back in your back here, mama, come on. So you know it'll help her out that way. So you know it happens to everybody. You know Wardrobe malfunction. You know I have nothing on the guys yet. Oh no, wait a minute. Yes, who was it? Somebody ripped their pants. Several people have ripped their pants Super junior, oh my.

Speaker 1:

God, oh my God, I forgot his name. They did one split out and right in the middle, right on the crotch, exploded.

Speaker 2:

Well, that happened. It happened to your eyeball once. Where is this? I want to see. It was like they just started falling off. He was like whoa and it was skinny and it didn't even have to be a word about function. He probably lost 10 pounds while performing and they just fell off.

Speaker 1:

But oh my.

Speaker 2:

God, and of course, in the times they pull each other's pants down.

Speaker 1:

But you know, oh my God, you won't get.

Speaker 2:

No, no, but I For, oh no, they pulled his pants down while he was on the big rubber. I think you show me like a backwards bungee jump thing. They pulled it way down in this elastic thing and he went flinging up in the air. Only right before they let go yeah, they grabbed his pants.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God, poor Senpai, poor Senpai.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, too funny.

Speaker 1:

No respect, we're on a, he's the oldest. No respect, he's just like, oh, whatever.

Speaker 2:

He's used to it. He's used to it the big brother, that everybody just got harassed.

Speaker 1:

Poor thing, oh man, oh my goodness. So anyways, okay, you know what I was looking up the meaning of burlesque. So from the dictionary, the Oxford dictionary, it says that burlesque is a word that is an absurd or comically exaggerated imitation of something, especially in a literally or dramatic word. A parody, maybe start it like that, okay. Second meaning A variety show. So maybe that's where the comical part comes, typically including strip tees, All right.

Speaker 2:

So one of the most famous burlesque people and everybody wanted her to come to parties and come to events Gypsy Rose Lee, I believe she would dance with like a giant bubble or feather fans oh the fans, yes, and you never actually saw anything. It was all the tees Like, ooh, what could happen, what could happen. And so, like Vonte's there, she wore pasties, and probably not a thong, because those weren't a thing back then. So she wasn't fully naked, but it was implied.

Speaker 1:

The illusion that, oh my goodness, is she naked Right?

Speaker 2:

but she'd like hold one bubble, throw the other spin and strategically place it over the nude parts. But yeah, it's art. She was. You know, she was still dancing. It's more about the anticipation of what could be, as opposed to just seeing it boom. You know Exactly? I don't.

Speaker 1:

You know, I do want to see this burlesque performance by Lisa and I'm sure it's going to be something tasteful and she probably won't even show her bikini. I know right, you know but of course people are like oh my God, legs and arms.

Speaker 2:

And I'm like yeah, I think it was just the rose, you do see their legs and arms when they do a actual concert.

Speaker 1:

You know what about if she did a whole fan dance? You know which? You don't hear, you don't see much. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I can go on with that topic and, like I said, I could be.

Speaker 2:

I think it's Gypsy Rosalie, but I'm not sure there, because it was also the fan lady. You know, that's what they called her, and I don't know if it's her, because this is way before our time.

Speaker 1:

So you can look at.

Speaker 2:

She was. She was definitely in the adult entertainment business and she was super famous. So you know you're going to look around. Oh yeah, make sure, here we go.

Speaker 1:

Gypsy Rosalie was an American burlesque entertainer. There you go Stripper and vedette Fabulous. Oh, she was a vedette, okay, very famous Puerto Rican vedette. Okay, and she was a cacón, but yeah, she. There was a time that she was like on thongs. It's like her tata's are like yeah there was. Well, like this was a show in Puerto Rico.

Speaker 2:

Well, like I said, it was that she would come out in a costume but then she'd slowly take pieces off, but it would be hidden by, like the fan or the bubble ball, whatever you know. So it was again the implied idea of she's getting naked under there, when she may not have necessarily been fully exposing herself.

Speaker 1:

But anyway, you know she was. Listen to us the history of she dance and she sang as well. So you know it. Yeah, they're artists, you know, it's just. But you know what you know? It's back in the thirties to be famous as a woman. It was tough. Yeah it was very tough, and if you didn't put out, you got nowhere, unfortunately, that was the dark side of that time. You know, right now it's different, even though it's there's still elements of that happening now?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I know we're hoping that this industry industry keeps changing, progressing to the better. Yes, definitely with these old time old types of you know getting ahead. Yeah, Excuse my pun, that was bad Getting popular.

Speaker 2:

Oh man.

Speaker 1:

But now, yeah, she does what she did, yeah, okay, oh, she died in 1970. Okay, she has a star in a Hollywood walk of walk of fame.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's what I mean. She was hugely popular, yeah, there you go Wow. Like I said, the random things that stay in my mind.

Speaker 1:

Well, you, are a historian. It's that you are a historian, you. That that's your major right. Yes, that's what you graduated from. Okay, that was your major.

Speaker 2:

But I did not major in the history of Perlus. It's still a part of history, I know. Yeah, it's part of it all. Oh my God, that's too funny.

Speaker 1:

The things that you don't want to know the history of, but you do because you'll find it fascinating.

Speaker 2:

I remember the obscure stuff. You know craziness.

Speaker 1:

All right.

Speaker 2:

Well, so you think we can. We went from serious to lighthearted, that's good.

Speaker 1:

Yes, that is good.

Speaker 2:

On a happy high note. You should learn some burlesque, you should.

Speaker 1:

It's invigorating, you know, oh, I'm sure you know it's like. You know, do it at home with your towel, you know, you know, put some music, exactly.

Speaker 2:

Well, that's what the song Big Spender was for.

Speaker 1:

You know, I hear that sometimes in the oldie station they play it and I'm like why are they playing this at the oldie station.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's crazy because that's the classic like strip to you. Yeah, and it.

Speaker 1:

I'll bet that is like the universal song when everybody hears us. So you know what's coming. You don't need lyrics there you go. You need lyrics for the song. You know what's coming with the song.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, it's like yeah, universally recognized the strip tease.

Speaker 1:

I wonder if that's like free to use we should put it in See, if you can find it, put it in there. Oh my God.

Speaker 2:

Okay, punchy, I don't I like that, all right.

Speaker 1:
