Our latest episode revisits the controversial tides of age gap relationships, spurred by the dating choices of a certain local DJ and the marital dynamics within the Domoto household. We peel back the layers of societal norms and parental concerns, in a candid look at how the times they are a'changing, and love, really isn’t about the numbers.

We mix humor with the hypothetical as we imagine the daily life of an odd-couple pair of friends in matrimonial bliss, and we take a moment to bask in Raul's meteoric rise in the fashion world. His recent runway domination proves that charisma can't be tailored. Join us for an episode that's brimming with fantasy, surprise, and a whole lot of laughs—it's the kind of conversation you won't want to miss.

DJ Panic Blog:
OK ASIA

Speaker 1:

Hello, this is Tannick.

Speaker 2:

And this is Sarah and you are listening to Music Elixir a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists in music. Hello everybody, welcome to another episode of Music Elixir. We're going to do a rant and ramblings. I'm Sarah and with me is I'm Panic, panic.

Speaker 1:

I can't do that Hello.

Speaker 2:

I'm. Oh my God, I see that's just so wrong. What the?

Speaker 1:

hell, that is not you at all. It would be even me with my hello, hello. To hell with that, no, anyways. So yeah, like Sarah said, it's a rant and rambling. We're going to talk about some things that have come out in fruition because I have put it out there in the universe. First of all, the last rant and rambling was, you know, we were making comments of some of these start-to artists that are either dating or come out married. One of them must be Domoto from Kinky Kids. Well, swashy, yes, to make sure. Which Domoto? Because I forgot, they both Domoto. They're not related. And how? Okay. So let's talk about that one. Because on that episode, remember when I mentioned to you that a local DJ or celebrity DJ here was mentioning that he prefers the Pumas instead of the Cougars.

Speaker 2:

And we're like what the heck?

Speaker 1:

is the difference between a Cougar and a Cougar. Okay, so the funny thing is that they started talking about something. I forgot which celebrity. There was a celebrity that he was 15, 20 years older than the person they married and, for some reason, for them that was disgusting for the man to be 15, 20 years older. Yeah, so I'm like wait a minute. So you're in your 40s and want to date somebody in their 60s and that's okay, and then when he sees a guy way older than their you know marrying somebody you know 20 or 15 years.

Speaker 1:

He finds that disgusting. Hmm, I'm like interesting, both of the announcers both of the hosts.

Speaker 2:

you know what A lot, a lot of people do actually I don't think 20, 20 starting right?

Speaker 1:

Well, you did. You did mention that artist was like what? In his 80s and she was in her 20s or something. Yes, so I'm thinking, okay, so you're okay if you want to date an older woman, and you both were all for that. But when you see, let's say, your buddy dating a younger woman, you're just like man. That's disgusting.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, that says something about those two you know like.

Speaker 1:

I'm thinking, huh, this is interesting. But then I'm thinking both of those hosts have daughters.

Speaker 2:

So like, so they're, yeah, they're thinking in terms of one of their buddies dating their daughter. Right, totally send them over the edge.

Speaker 1:

Exactly, Mm hmm. So I was like, oh, so that's not sexist at all, so it's okay for you to date an older woman and it's not disgusting. But you seeing, let's say, yeah, your buddy's dating at you know, a female your daughter's age. Yeah, that's just gross.

Speaker 2:

Well, because that's the parental mind coming in and thinking about it.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, I wanted to tell you that because I was like huh, interesting, I mean, wouldn't you be feeling the same? I'm like oh yeah, guys can date, you know, younger women, blah, blah, blah. But now it's like no, that's gross man, what are you doing? Dating a young you know? No, no.

Speaker 2:

Well, also, though, because at this point in time, his daughter is probably between 18 and 22 or something, right, so that's different. The older you get, like I think, that that difference doesn't matter as much, but he's thinking in terms of his you know, just got out of high school, in college age daughter. That's different. When you're taught once, you're talking about someone who's done all that and working, had a job, doing stuff in life. You're talking about someone who can decide and who does know how to discern feelings, you know they're not young, but I think your baby's always your baby, right, right?

Speaker 2:

I mean that's not going to change.

Speaker 1:

So you know like I'm thinking how about you know the father of the motos, you know the, you know like he will be like you're dating. You marry my daughter. You know like it's like it could be your, your body from high school, and he's like you marry my daughter. Who's like you know, like she is 29.

Speaker 2:

Right, we well, we talked about that. She's, you know she is 29. She is an adult, that's what I mean. You know she's through school, she's got a job, she's been living supporting herself. You know what.

Speaker 1:

I mean.

Speaker 2:

She knows her mind Exactly. So well it's. And that's what I mean is it's sort of, when you're, the older you are, the age difference to me doesn't seem to matter as much, as long as it's reasonable, right, when you're talking about, you know, a 70 year old man marrying an 18 year old girl. That's totally different. Yeah, one of your favorite movies, bullet Train. Yeah, aaron Taylor Johnson.

Speaker 2:

There he's married to a woman who is, I believe, like 25 years older than him. Oh, geez, she cause he's 32 or something, I think, and and she's 56. Oh, really, yeah, okay, yeah, so that's 24 years, wow, yeah, for a long time I was like that's kind of weird, cause I didn't realize he was already in his 30s, right, okay. So I was like, ah, because I remembering him from when he was little and acting so I'm like he's like 18 in marriage. I was like, no, that was 20 years ago, sarah, get over it. So I was like so he's 32 and married to this woman who's 56, you know, hey, okay. When I heard those numbers, I wasn't like, oh, that's weird.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And I was thinking of him being 18 and dating a woman 24. I was like whoa, what? Yeah, that's so, you know it's again. It's sort of also personal experience, personal ideas, but traditionally young girls were 15, marrying guys who were 30, something Already established, you know, gentlemen, or whatever business merchants.

Speaker 1:

Why not young bride? Yeah, To make a family Pretty much a Y back. He like we're talking centuries ago.

Speaker 2:

Um, or okay, we're talking. It depends where in the world you are, it's all true Happens. No, that's still happening, depending on, depending on where you're in the world, you know, but even here in America that was still until like the turn of 19th. I keep forgetting that we might be in the 21st century, 1900s.

Speaker 1:

People thinking exactly like you said the 18 or 1700s, like you know well, get the young bride.

Speaker 2:

you know, right right around until 1900 that it was still not as common, but it was still happening. And then the whole flapper age happened and women were like I'm free to do, I don't have to marry anybody, I guess. Look short, short skirts, you know. I think that's when the other whole rebel. Sometime around the fifties, everybody got prudish again and we're like yeah, I know right.

Speaker 2:

I know so it's. Yeah, I mean it's. It's a very subjective thing. You know you need to view for yourself, but you know, like, look at the couple and figure out, you can see the dynamic. A lot of times you can tell where this is coming from you know, so Everybody, everybody. It's just very interesting. Yes, as a 40 year old man, I can date a 60 year old woman, but a 40 year old man should not date a 20 year old.

Speaker 2:

you know that's very but you're in two different places. When you're 60, you might think a 40 year old woman is not out of you know bounds, so Right.

Speaker 1:

Right, Just like, ooh, now that I said that Mark Anthony's dad. He is in his 80s. He just married a woman in her 60s.

Speaker 2:

Well, there you go, 20 years.

Speaker 1:

People were having a cattle in that too. Really, yeah, ok, I'm like she is 60. I want to say she was in her mid 60s. That's not bad she. That's a yeah, that's a whole grown ass woman. It's not like she was like she was probably married before too, you know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so anyways. No, there was a big thing in Puerto Rico on that one. Oh wow, they were calling it the drama in La Lechonera. It was the drama at the barbecue place. Yeah, there was. I'm not going to get into details, it's a long ass thing, because the lady had ex-boyfriends that she also met at the same place.

Speaker 2:

Oh, where she got married.

Speaker 1:

He proposed to her oh my God, yeah, yeah, it's. I'm like what in the world? I'm Puerto Rico, anyways. So, with that being said, that, you know, a lot of these start took artists are, just, you know, announcing that they're dating and getting married. When I heard about coming on dating somebody I was I said no. I thought Nakamaru would be the first one saying that he will have a girlfriend. Now, the devil, Okay, but now it's marriage.

Speaker 2:

Well, it was the day after we recorded that episode. I know Like what. Did you see the news? Did you see? We're both like married. I'm like universe that came out of nowhere. Universe you misheard me.

Speaker 1:

I did not say married, I said girlfriend, all the menu, just bring me married. I'm like what no? Well, that's you know that one hurt coming off. I'm like, good, coming on, you're getting married. You know, no, not married. But I mean, look at me.

Speaker 2:

Not fed that universe.

Speaker 1:

No, he's not going to marry?

Speaker 2:

Yes, stop it.

Speaker 1:

Nakamaru.

Speaker 2:

I know he just, yeah, he jumped from nothing to marry.

Speaker 1:

I was like no. I was like no.

Speaker 2:

I mean, I'm sure oh my God, no way you want it. Here's a crazy one.

Speaker 1:

So I'm thinking of what I was going to update, that I've been married for five years and I have for Rick heads.

Speaker 2:

Well, this is, this is what I was going to say. I thought of this last time but I was like, no, I don't want to go there. People be like what? Yeah, what, if that's not Yamada's niece, it's his daughter, that's his kid. They're just playing it as his niece because they don't want anybody to know.

Speaker 1:

Girl. I would never wish him. I don't know.

Speaker 2:

I'm not wishing to know, I'm just saying I was like it's one of those things that would happen, right, right. They're like no, we can know he's married. That's a kid.

Speaker 1:

Mary as a kid. That's the little girl.

Speaker 2:

Oh, MG, but this is you know we were talking about it Like everything's open to everybody. Suddenly, everybody's starting to date.

Speaker 1:

I was just saying that you know, nakamaru and Fuma were dating. That's just not Like yeah, nakamaru's dating Fuma, he's married. He's dating nobody, but he's married. Nakamaru my heart went, bring it. It just shattered Well.

Speaker 2:

I was just like what I know.

Speaker 1:

Oh my God, see, that's what I'm saying. You guys like him are so stealthy, you don't know, you don't know Well, and then they come out and do stuff like this. When did he have time?

Speaker 2:

The dude is always busy. He's always traveling off somewhere and doing shows and doing this. Well, remember he was doing the TV thing for quite some time.

Speaker 1:

So that's why they met, you know, in the TV. Whatever Then she was, she stopped working there.

Speaker 2:

I'm sure, retired in December. Oh, she retired in December.

Speaker 1:

Yes, well, of course.

Speaker 2:

Well, that's how they phrased it, meaning I'm married Nakamaru.

Speaker 1:

I'm married Nakamaru. I'm just gonna say pretty on cat to me, I'm gonna be money. Don't eat the work.

Speaker 2:

Well, she was no general woman. She had a job and was doing her own thing.

Speaker 1:

Celebrity. You know she was a media person. You know, like I'm a media person.

Speaker 2:

Yep.

Speaker 1:

See, the thing is that I'm not there, was not in the same station with that. Come on. Anyways, I wish him the best. I'm very happy, I'm just shocked. That's just come on married.

Speaker 2:

No, I'm even dating. I know Bam slap right across the face just like when they are now.

Speaker 1:

I.

Speaker 2:

Yeah they married other people With each other was like you got to work on your headline, then that was awful. We're Well. I was so excited. I'm like that's awesome.

Speaker 1:

I know the people who were in their shipping, mom.

Speaker 2:

But no, I'd never even shipped those two together, neither. I thought I've been, you know.

Speaker 1:

But the funny thing is that the whole, you know like Shocking. So of course, in a select their marriage they're like, yeah, because, yeah, the one that I will love, it's like June and owner. They didn't own a proposed to June, he did he's like marry me and June's. Like no, you're drunk, I might have said yes I.

Speaker 2:

They are like so opposite the fight, so opposite. Right June, hard work, planning, blah he would be like do I have to? All right.

Speaker 1:

Bickering? Oh no, no. How come you didn't do that? Oh no, what's with this? Oh no, no, no, do that, oh no are you doing?

Speaker 2:

Well, that's what I mean. That was like in in June is so neat and impeccable. I was, like I know, flinging.

Speaker 1:

I know like I can see you just bickering all the time.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god, you know but then getting angry cuz, despite being, you know, sort of like Lackadaisical about things I don't know, does them perfectly. She's like I've been trying for weeks to do this and you try once and got it. I hate you.

Speaker 1:

He's like how come, you don't do it and then you do it at once and you're fine, I'm here working so hard. I Will love to see that. Oh my god, too funny it should be a reality show of those two living together. Oh my god, that'll be amazing, that will be amazing.

Speaker 2:

June would be walking around with this face all the time. What is that? Pick that up exactly? What is that? Why is it here? Who moved?

Speaker 1:

this. How come your shoes are all over the place and they're your gun. Put them together. What? Why not in their spot? Well, you just gotta lay them over there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, why is this shirt here?

Speaker 1:

Exactly. Why are you putting your drink without a coaster? What's wrong with you? That's too funny. The dishwasher is not uploaded.

Speaker 2:

Who was the?

Speaker 1:

last one. I can't pick up after you all the time Love it. Oh, my god right, whoo, I cannot oh Lunge in around on the couch. Why are you landing on the couch all the time? You need to go out?

Speaker 2:

Or where were you all day fishing, fishing, oh my god.

Speaker 1:

You stink, you're without fishing.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god, we are Dalu.

Speaker 1:

Exactly so. Congratulations, but but yeah, that that's, that's amazing.

Speaker 2:

It is, I'm still.

Speaker 1:

I'm still shocked. Well, it was just such a bizarre.

Speaker 2:

You know, here we are like do, do, do, wouldn't it be funny.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, I'm like, I'm expecting Nakamaru to be the first one with a girlfriend. I asked for a girlfriend. Look at me. I asked for a girlfriend, no wife, oh, anyways, yeah, that's what's going on, but also I'm having so much fun with Mr.

Speaker 2:

Fumas Instagram. Omg, actually, I liked the one. Someone was like I'm doing my wedding photos and Fuma replied enjoy being married to someone that's not me?

Speaker 1:

That is not me. He is so sassy.

Speaker 2:

He is. That was funny though.

Speaker 1:

He doesn't care. Yeah, you might be a fan. You're gonna get my wrath. I'm gonna give you my two cents.

Speaker 2:

Uh, he must be. He's feeling bitter because Nino and Nakamaru are married.

Speaker 1:

Oh, he lost his buddy. Hmm, see, nakamaru. You broke his heart, bad Nakamaru. No, remember that he's you know. Uh, interacted with with Nakamaru under IG and Nakamaru's like you want to do a life together. Maybe to console him Like. I don't know, I'm not gonna get married. Do you want to do an IG together for old times? My bud, oh my god.

Speaker 2:

Oh. The other cool thing, though, is his uh Nakamaru's manga. Yeah he just released what his first uh volume Mm-hmm. And it's already. I guess there's a second printing. Just happened because, like it's in demand but hello, yeah, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god, I'm so proud of him. I know that his the his drawings. Oh my god, when did he started working on this last year? Yeah, like in a year he's like. Oh my god, his drawings have evolved.

Speaker 2:

I think you know he'd been working out, he had these ideas and he just wasn't sure. And then he was like Whatever, I'm just gonna go for it, mm-hmm. And yeah, he, just he, he would update every once. Well, look where I am. This is what I did today. So he just he focused and got it done.

Speaker 1:

So like he even refined his characters, because even right now for the yonino channel, from the first one, when it was uh, jannino. Yeah, the characters were different than the ones that are right now. Yeah, they were they have more of their characteristics, more it has like more life of like each member. Yeah, I was like, wow, what a difference.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, definitely he's evolved it and yes, he works so hard for this oh my god, I'm so proud of him. Congratulations Like awesome. Yeah, I just saw that little news blurb today that was so amazing.

Speaker 1:

So anything else going on. I know I show the birthday's coming up soon. Yes the 25th. It did not celebrate an okay isha on the 20th. I wanted to do it after his birthday.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, no longer be a birthday on a Thursday. Is this like weird.

Speaker 1:

It's, it's like, like, almost in the midweek, you know when he's gonna be what? 42, 41, 42, 42, 42. Yeah, 42. Wow, 42. Remember when they all turned 40? What that was crazy. That was so crazy. Um, raul, oh my war. Paris, it's because it was Paris fashion week yeah my god.

Speaker 2:

Those were Incredible photo shoots. Oh my god that red suit, holy. Oh, okay, now that.

Speaker 1:

I said that who wore it best Ren?

Speaker 2:

or Raul? Um, I think Raul because he's he has grown and evolved so much Modeling wise, like he's a natural, have used exactly how?

Speaker 1:

have you seen the way he being Carrying himself at that fashion week? Yeah, I was just like wow, baby boy. He did just no longer baby boy. No, I'm like wow.

Speaker 2:

It's like he was born to do this. Yes, it was incredible. And the ones in the that black suit in the snow? Oh my god, I was like. What am I seeing Seeing?

Speaker 1:

holy Did you saw the one with him in the tuxedo? No, oh my god girl, classic bulltie cut tuxedo. Oh my god, perfect. I don't know how I missed that. It was yesterday. He posted it on uh on Friday. Oh he's he's like had the different outfits for like fashion week.

Speaker 1:

He had the red one, then he had the casual one, which it was like the denim, with the oversized uh sweatshirt Mm-hmm, I'm not not sweatshirt, it was wool shirt, it was a sweater, a sweater, sweater. And then he came out with this like tux that I was like whoa, wow, he's just amazing.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but I think it's just the way he's carrying himself and the way he's presenting himself. He is just larger than life, but also so he fits in it so well. Yes, like he's not modeling, that's him, yeah, I mean, that's what I mean by he's so natural, with it Different.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he's environment in there is so different. Then, of course, the environment that he's with the boys, with the rest of the gang. Oh, he's so like fitting in there. He is so like I don't. How can I say?

Speaker 2:

in his element.

Speaker 1:

You know he has this like aura it's no say or abus like Is he real? I don't know, what's that the right word? I don't want to say.

Speaker 2:

I don't know. He's kind of like an aura because he's Surrounded by something Magnetic. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

He's I don't know, he's kind of celestial, like you know. Just just that's what I'm trying to. You know, it's just perfect. It's just like he just came out of the sky into the earth and it's just like he's just being yeah oh Wonderful.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's amazing, and that's why I'm saying like Ren looks great, yes, but there is the presence of Raoul, like it's effortless, it really is. He just he could just be standing there and like shift legs for a second and you're like that's the perfect pose. Yeah, you know, and not even trying, he just it just happens with him. And so it's amazing. It's the transformation over these past few years with him, yeah, has been incredible. It has.

Speaker 1:

Amazing, even family. I asked the same question. So who wore it best, raoul or Ren quickly?

Speaker 2:

No, well, that's what I mean it, but like there's just something, he doesn't have to try it all, he just he puts it on and there he is perfection. You know what I mean? It's all about how he carries himself and how he presents, and he's emanating something power, strength, everything. He's just like.

Speaker 1:

I am here, he gives the garment a vibe. Yeah, you know it's like I have mentioned before. You know some of these models are just, you know, the coat rag. You know he's not, he's just, he's giving this, whatever garment, it is movement, giving it life, giving it something different, giving it power, whatever, he's just vibing in it. Oh, my God, when he does his walk, Tuck Hat walks, it's just, oh, Stunning.

Speaker 2:

Well, you know, there's that old saying the clothes make the man. Not in this case. No, in this case, this man is whatever he's wearing, is it? It is the thing. It's incredible. Yeah, it is incredible. Yeah, he definitely brings the life to the clothing, not vice versa.

Speaker 1:

No, he, this is. Yeah, he was made for this. He was made for this. And dancing, oh my God, oh my God. I still want to see him do flamenco, because he will do it perfectly. I'm sure he would.

Speaker 2:

Well, it's that stature. You know he's, he is statuesque.

Speaker 1:

I'm hoping that somebody that he's out there in Paris from Spain to be, like you know, do some flamenco Come on. You will be perfect, you'll be great, and I love that people like recognize him. Like out there you hear the people calling out his name. So he just like you know, very poised and whatever, just like hey, whatever Stunning. I mean he's amazing, everything he does modeling I don't even know if we should call him modeling, geez Right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's just that. That's him. Like I said, it doesn't matter what he's wearing, he is modeling effortlessly. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It just happens.

Speaker 2:

Well, we've done a lot of talking. My throat, I'm sorry, talking and laughing All right, so I don't know if there's any other real news, worthy news to talk about.

Speaker 1:

Just very excited for.

Speaker 2:

Nakamaru.

Speaker 1:

Nakamaru and Raul, and Raul and my boys, seoul Shory and Fuma with his IG, seoul's IG, oh my God, the aesthetic, beautiful Shory, just like.

Speaker 2:

No, because of me, me doing stuff. Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to be in a rascal Cussing Villainess. So it's just making these beautiful posts, this like they should be like in like I don't know, not Bazaar, I don't know some. It's just aesthetics are really pretty, you know, very elegant and whatnot, and Shory just taking some pictures, that's it. And then Kenti, you know, promoting his drama, of course, my Kenti, let's see, that's it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, new music. We can't wait to hear from you music. Things are rolling out. I know stones and snowman anniversaries coming up soon. February, it's in January. Oh is it? Yeah, oh, I thought it was February. Snowman and stones Stabilize January 22nd. Oh, okay, so today's the 20th, so you're in a couple of days. Wow, it's going to be four years. Yeah, wow, four years since it. Wow, that's crazy.

Speaker 2:

Because they yeah, they debuted right before the pandemic.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that was crazy. 2020. Crazy year. I know they're going to come out with new album. Of course, new music. I know stones just dropping you the vibes. Snowman is going to be dropping something soon too, but they have a song called the love trigger.

Speaker 2:

Oh, oh. Did you ever watch that dance?

Speaker 1:

Yeah girl.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I loved it, you know, cause they always have fun and they're always sort of at least similarly dressed, but in that one with those suits, oh my God.

Speaker 1:

Oh, they look amazing.

Speaker 2:

It was incredible, amazing Cause the suits were all the same. Yes and they were all different colors, which is different from how usually they have like the same color, but somebody has, you know, big, sparkly pants or whatever, Of course, or a plumage Big back.

Speaker 2:

Plump Well like you know, cause that, the one we love, the boyfriend one. They're all wearing like black and white, but, like you know, one has big baggy and one is it. So what I like about this dance practice is the uniformity of the outfits. Yeah, and they're all different colors, but they're just as impeccable as always.

Speaker 1:

They were tailored. Yes, yes, they were tailored. Yeah, that looks so sweet.

Speaker 2:

Love.

Speaker 1:

Love, of course you want those you know. Dance move with the intricate feet thingies you know and everybody got to know it. It's so cool. Their synchronization is so awesome. It is Nine members.

Speaker 2:

I know to have that much uniformity going on is incredible, I know, wow, they're still with their own little bit of style, you know, just awesome.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, what I do like about the group is that you know, when it comes to their solo part, you know they stop, they do their thing instead of just like singing and dancing with everybody. Yeah, they just like showcase themselves. I love that, I like, I do like when they do that. Yes, definitely, you know, give them their spotlight Awesome.
