DJ Panic Blog:
OK ASIA

Sarah:

Hello, this is Panic and this is Sarah, and you are listening to Music Elixir a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists in music. Hello everybody, welcome to another episode of Music Elixir. I'm Sarah, and with me is the Panic. Come to the rescue, apparently.

DJ Panic:

I'm here to rescue you why.

Sarah:

No, no, that I was the introduction. The heralding. Yeah, fanfare, that's it.

DJ Panic:

The last time you gave me a tan tan tan. I'm like Pisces Villain is here Exactly.

Sarah:

Today you're like more cheery. I don't know, because the sun is finally shining. Oh my goodness Right.

DJ Panic:

Oh yes, you can still freeze your ass off out there. Yeah, it's still cold, but yeah, I just feel like just put in my bathing suit and bathe in the sun and just freeze, I don't know.

Sarah:

Well, the thing is like driving over here I was blinded because I forgot my sunglasses.

DJ Panic:

Oh no.

Sarah:

So I was like, oh my God, what's going on? We're not used to this, right. But also it was warmer in the car, like I got hot. I had to open the window and turn the heat down. Wow, I was like what is going on? Oh, yeah, because the sun is shining. Finally, yeah, because we've just had cold, gray, rainy, nasty, like bitter cold, like you can't get warm. So today, at least the sun's shining and it gives the impression, yeah, false sense of you know warmth Every time it's.

DJ Panic:

This weather is completely a Mama's and the Papa's song. All the leaves are brown and the sky is gray. Definitely Every time you go out there you're like, oh, it's just, it's that song, it is the vibe is there. Absolutely but we're not here to talk about the mama's and the papa's.

DJ Panic:

No, we are even though that our skies have been that song. I mean, the weather over here has been like that, definitely California dreaming. We would like to do that, but the boys that were the group that we're going to be talking about not from California, or though a lot of the culture is down there and they love California for some reason. So we are going. It's close. Yeah, so our group chosen by a fan. Thank you for the request is for Psychic Fever.

Sarah:

Yeah Well, I guess we did the single a couple of episodes ago and everybody was like, hey, yeah, can you talk more about them? So yes, here we are. Yeah.

DJ Panic:

One of the fans was saying hey, there's an EP coming out and you know I love it, because first they talked about it and I'm like, can you tell me more? And then they just proceeded to say you know all the EPs coming out and like, please help, you know, you know I'm like, okay, of course you know why not. So I just want to say thank you very much to that fan. We'll give him a shout out in our show notes and, of course, when we send out the episode, we'll tag the person there. So thank you very much for that fan, for making that request. I enjoy this album.

DJ Panic:

But anyways, let's introduce Psychic Fever from EXILE TRIBE. As we like to do, we like to give a little bit of information on the group and, of course, a little bit of information on each member. So if you find one that is your fave, hey, there you go. But so Psychic Fever is a group of seven elite students from all over Japan who attended dance school at EXPG studios run by LDH. In 2019, they performed as Psychic Fever at the Battle of Tokyo. They entered the junio EXILE since October of 2019. They have been holding shows called Musha Shugyo in all 47 prefectures in Japan, attracting 40,000 viewers. That's awesome.

Sarah:

Yeah, that is just on that year.

DJ Panic:

They are the first group in LDH to tour Japan to hold a Musha Shugyo shows, which they learn, you know, apparently it's kind of like they learn things from their shows.

Sarah:

Just like to progress something like that, so learn as you go.

DJ Panic:

Yes, they perform as opening for JSoul Brothers and Omi, which is more of their seniors, their senpai in May 2022, they announced on their YouTube channel that they will debuted as Psychic Fever from EXILE TRIBE July 13 of 2022. They have also started to carry activities out in Thailand. So that's when they did you know the SPICY yeah, yeah, collaboration, and it's about six months. They says here that they were in Thailand for about six months and they're currently holding more of those Musha Shugyo shows over there. So they're learning from everybody. So the collaboration that's, I guess, as part of those shows.

DJ Panic:

That's amazing and, of course, their goal is to be famous globally of course, and they will like to have the number one spot on the Billboard global charts. So that's what they're striving for.

Sarah:

Oh, that's a good goal to have. Yes, right, yes motivation.

DJ Panic:

Oh yes, you want to know more about the group. Will put the on the show notes, the link of LDH and their page, and you can check that out. Yeah, definitely, let's go introduce the boys, sure.

Sarah:

You want to start or you want me to start.

DJ Panic:

Well, you'll start, because I did the whole rambling.

Sarah:

Okay, all right. So we have Surugi, leader, performer, rapper, April 9th 1997, and Aries we love to do our, our signs. Yes, we do. Oh, you know that. Right, he looks tall, very tall, but he's 5'10" which, in the grand scheme of things, is, I guess you know, average.

DJ Panic:

It's very lanky, they're all lanky. Yeah, they're all skinny.

Sarah:

He looks particularly like I was expecting him to be 6'2", yeah, so when I saw I was like 5'10" really. But he's not. It's another member.

DJ Panic:

It's a six-feet tall. So our next are you, are you? Are you done talking about yeah, yeah, okay. So our next member is Ryoga, performer vocals, born on June 8th 1998, and he's a Gemini.

Sarah:

Duality, huh, all right. Next we have Ren. He's performer, vocal, February 8th 2000,.

DJ Panic:

an Aquarius and he's going to be having a birthday soon.

Sarah:

Yes, a few days.

DJ Panic:

I know Every time I hear Aquarius, you're going to sing this song.

Sarah:

This is Donny.

DJ Panic:

Yeah, so our next member, Jimmy. Thanks for Jimmy, performer rapper, February 26th 2000. A Pisces, yes, and of course his birthday's coming up soon.

Sarah:

He is. Kokoro is our next member performer vocal. I love his name, I know right.

DJ Panic:

So, sweet.

Sarah:

It is November 9th 2000,. Scorpio. Got some fire so someone we would be compatible with of course.

DJ Panic:

Next we have Ryushin, performer vocals, December 1st 2001,. Sagittarius, and he just had his birthday in December and the final member, Weesa, February 26th 2004, also a Pisces.

Sarah:

So he and Jimmy same day, four years apart. I know that's crazy, I know To have two people in the band with the same birthday. You know, people sometimes sit close, yes, but this is like the exact same day, so yeah also with a birthday coming up, and he's the baby, oh yeah. He's the baby, super baby. He's only going to be 20.

DJ Panic:

He debuted in his late teens. He debuted in his late teens 18. Yeah, yeah, so wow I know right, wow, so congratulations to him. He's a cutie. Yes, I was going to say he's a cutie. Okay, here wait.

Sarah:

I want to interject something. You know how. A couple of episodes we've talked about, like the whole Cougar Puma thing Shut up, girl shut up.

DJ Panic:

I'm about that.

Sarah:

I was like damn we got to find someone younger than Steve Aoki to be the same age, because we've entered the Cougar Puma.

DJ Panic:

Oh my God, girl, don't even start with that.

Sarah:

I just I had to interject that because when I was looking at these these guys' birthdays I'm like they all keep getting younger. What's going on, I know?

DJ Panic:

they're, they're, we're. No girl, these are children. No, I can't. That's why I'm saying we can't be Steve Aoki's age. No, no, that could be their daddy too.

Sarah:

Oh my God, all right. So anyway, we should get into the music. But he is a cutie, he's adorable, he is a cutie.

DJ Panic:

I have two favorites here.

Sarah:

Who are your two favorites?

DJ Panic:

I have Jimmy and Weesa, of course, the Pisces yeah definitely I love them both.

Sarah:

Yeah, I like Kokoro and Weesa. Kokoro is cute too.

DJ Panic:

Yes, and like I said, scorpio, we're compatible, but Jimmy's voice oh my God, oh yeah, oh he's, he's good, but anyways, want to go in order. Then we can Sure Okay, oh, do you have a fave?

Sarah:

I do have a fave, do you?

DJ Panic:

I have two faves. Oh, really I do. That's why it's gonna be interesting which one is your fave.

Sarah:

My absolute fave is 'Just Like That'. Okay, that's one of my faves. Okay, so I want to save that for last let's leave it for last. Okay.

DJ Panic:

Want to start with Cypher sure, because it's completely different than the rest of the songs in here. It is so, like the title says, psyche, cypher, psyphe, psyphe.

Sarah:

Psyphe, Psyphe, Psyphe, Psyphe, Psyphe, Psyphe.

DJ Panic:

Yes.

Sarah:

And it's sort of you know, I'll play on words, right, so I like this. Oh yeah, no, definitely.

DJ Panic:

Like this. I haven't heard of cypher in a while, mm, hmm, you know. So this I like this being. The song has a mix of hip hop genres and styles. Just for that, I heard the new school and old school beats. I can tell not all the members are partaking on the Psyphe.

Sarah:

Of course I heard Jimmy which I was like yeah, it seems to be a rapper, it's thing.

DJ Panic:

Oh my God, Psyphe, oh, jimmy's like. Jimmy, the studio, I'm like, oh, here we go. That voice, I love his voice. Ok, from all, the, all the members that rap there. Of course Jimmy, of course, introduced himself, but of course that voice, the bass, you know, we love that bass. It's just he stood out for me, that raspy, low voice. But of course, the mixtures of the on the tracks. It's awesome because you had the breaks where they were slow and they were doing the rap, their lingo. They're out there just bringing it out and those beats were sweet.

Sarah:

Yeah, absolutely Well, like you said, I know what I noticed was the mixture of old and new school and I love the old school sound. I love they have that horn in their. That's like what they have just so like this has I want to call it like a creeper sound, but not creeper as in like creepy but like they're. They're coming at you. Whoever's singing at the moment is coming slowly into your face and they're like, yeah, we're here to tell you what's going on, right, and the way the synth does sort of that, because it's not real strings and it's not real brass, it's synthesized. But those sounds are awesome and they sort of add to that overall feeling and it just sort of it really grabs your attention. Like I said, there's that point that that old school what the siren kind of sound. I was like, oh yeah, I miss that sound, I love that sound. So, yeah, they're just another.

Sarah:

This is similar to the, the single we talked about a while back right In the, the whole in your face, grab your attention, attitude song. So I really this was another one. I really really.

DJ Panic:

Oh yeah, this was for sure. Yeah, it was good. I like it.

Sarah:

I like that.

DJ Panic:

And I didn't. We'll love to know how many members were doing it, because, from what we found out, we only saw two rappers being categorized themselves as rappers. But you know there's got to be two other members in there.

Sarah:

Well, maybe some of the vocals are a little more on the edgy side of things.

DJ Panic:

I sometimes yeah, I sometimes I thought there were five of them, but then I'm like no, it's less than that. I have to do a deep dive more on that one. Yeah, but I think there's probably four members just rap, rap, battling each other, just because each there's like half of the segment kind of sound a different than the other half. So I was like, yeah, this is cool, this is cool.

Sarah:

Well yeah, showcasing sort of their forte in the whole rap genre, you know what I mean.

DJ Panic:

Like mm, OK, it was definitely.

Sarah:

I liked, I liked to the edge, to it, yeah, the back and forth, and then just yeah, here in the studio. Yo, you know what I mean.

DJ Panic:

Jimmy, jimmy being awesome.

Sarah:

Yeah, oh yeah.

DJ Panic:

Oh my God, that was awesome At first. I'm like, oh, Jimmy in the studio, OK whatever. And then it started going off. I'm like OK, boo, I feel sorry about that, I'll give it to you, wow, you do. They actually blew me away. I just thought, ok, here we go. But no, he just brought it. I'm like whoa, ok, I'm alone, go man. I saw, wow, that was awesome, love him. Give him now my other favorite temperature. So when I leave it, ok before last OK, second to last.

DJ Panic:

Yes. So let's talk about Rocket, take you higher, girl house R&B, some new wave, which I was like what this song transported me to? A private party at a luxury penthouse. There's like a DJ, people all dressed to impress but more to attract. You know that kind of like. You know it's tasteful but sexy, just soul triness. It's a fun song. I was dancing, I was chilling. It's just like just had good vibes. Just had good vibes, you know. But you know sometimes you feel like you're going like a girls night out. This is not just more like you be invited to this penthouse party. You know you're going solo. Private party, yeah, yeah. So that's how this song made me feel. But whoa, those sounds mm-hmm and the vocals, they were all sweet, all of them were sweet.

Sarah:

Yeah, definitely. Well, this one I thought was it was smooth R&B definitely. I feel it had sort of a similar Vibe to another one. I'll just say then the another song we're talking about temperature there's. They're sort of similar in the vibe, but this one was a little more Sultry, like smooth, as opposed to the other one. I don't want to Start comparing right now because we haven't talked about the other one, but yeah, it's, this had sort of a grown-up feel about Mm-hmm how they were expressing themselves, because it's definitely yeah, take me hi rocket, take me higher, come on, hey, exactly.

DJ Panic:

Give you the view, give you a party. You were invited, but I don't want to make it feel like you're the one there, I, you're the only one. I want you here. But let me just grab some people over so you can feel more comfortable.

Sarah:

Exactly so this one, like I said it it's, it's seductive. You know what I mean. It's just had, it's a slightly different energy, even though the topics of the two songs Very similar, the idea you know about them is is very similar. I just this is come on, girl. Yeah, get closer, let's, let's hang out. I want to know more about you kind of thing right.

Sarah:

So yeah, whereas. So now I'm gonna segue into Temperature, which you said was one of your other favorites. Yes, this one's also Sultry, but in a an odd way because it's sort of Edgier. Right, it's not. It's not as smooth as rocket, it's I don't know, it's not your typical like romantic Genre, but it's still sort of an R&B song. You know what I'm saying. Mm-hmm, it still has that, that sense to it. Totally again, they're they're trying to woo you in a different way and it's just.

Sarah:

I really liked the. I need a girl, whole, nother level. You know what I mean. So this one, this one was more like the ski lodge Everybody's hanging out having a few drinks around the fire pit, as opposed to the penthouse low light. This is this is a little more upbeat up tempo to me. That that was sort of so. Like I said, they had the same sort of vibe as far as being like drawing you in and and sort of smooth talking you. Only one was a little little softer R&B and this one's a little Rougher, not quite, not quite your typical R&B. You know what I'm saying. I don't know if you know what I'm saying. Maybe the audience knows what I'm saying.

DJ Panic:

Okay temperature For me, because I love this one as well as the other. One is lo-fi Trap. That's why you say it's a little bit quicker. Yeah it does have the R&B temperature.

DJ Panic:

The music the music mood Starts you slow, then the boom that comes in that base is Saltriness, very salty. It's not salty, so tree, but you know what. Salty to right, because you will be. If I feel that you didn't add it, I sweat a few times. It was intense for me. This was intense Every time I heard it. I wanted to do body rolls and twerk. Then, exactly at two minute mark, his delivery I don't know who that was that boy starts to get fast and faster and faster. 20 seconds, excuse me. I was like oh, okay and Okay, I'm gonna say this. It almost got me to euphoria, all right. Then it slows down at 220. Girl, the piano, the piano, that sweet, and then that sweet voice I don't know who that one was from another member, come, seem to cool me down. That was decadent, decadent. And then at 230 with the yeah, I need a girl. I'm like, excuse me, I need someone to. After you sang that, do you give me that you?

DJ Panic:

another you give me bad, let me tell you I was KO. I was KO, my body temperature was going up and down, plus the feels, I Don't know. I'm sorry, my friend, you do need to clean your ears, because this was really good.

Sarah:

I didn't say it wasn't good.

DJ Panic:

No, but I mean, I just say, how come you didn't hear all that? I Was hoping you were gonna give me a play by play.

Sarah:

You don't want all those two, no well like I said, cuz the vibe to them was very similar to me, I didn't okay.

DJ Panic:

I didn't, I did it.

Sarah:

Obviously, but it was. I was tainted by spice. This is what happened. I was like they're good, they are good songs, yeah, but so I was. I was looking for a different sound, I think. So I was like Having trouble focusing on them because I was like this isn't what I was expecting. And so they're both very good and they're both Different sounds for the same Overall feeling okay for me. Do you know what I mean? Like the yeah, like what they're saying to you, girl? Only you know this one was, was the edgier, a little rougher, a little more urgent and intense than rocket? I didn't, I never said I didn't know.

DJ Panic:

I was like man.

Sarah:

I thought you will like this one the way I did but, I, guess she did and she called no, I think I was really stuck on just like that I was, that was that was really good, and this is actually the leading song for the EP, yeah, but so no, I definitely I did like them, yeah, and but it was just such a different feeling, again, like I said, from spice, which you know, as we talked about, I was like ready to go to a mosh pit for so I wasn't expecting this from them and I was like, wow, they're just being so, I aren't being mellow.

DJ Panic:

I like. Unfortunately it's a collab, so yeah. I don't really, I don't really want to go buy that song for me, because well, that was not really. Oh yeah, no showcase because you have the other, the other people.

Sarah:

But when that's your introduction to someone, even if it's a collab, you're like, well, part of them has to be like this, which did come through in right, in Siphie, cypher, right at least. You were like, oh okay, I see where this was coming from. So I sort of I had this impression in my head that that's what they were all about was being this like Mmm, you know what I mean. So these songs, I think, just sort of took me by surprise because I was like oh well, I mean, you know that they have vocal members, so I suppose you do need music. But it was just sort of like it was.

Sarah:

I had this weird expectation in my head. So when I was listening to them I was like, wow, this is just so different. Yeah, you know, I definitely I picked up, like I said, on the R&B and the, the trap, like you said, that's where it's edgier than rocket. But it was just they were a different feeling for me and, like I said, just like that was the song Playing over and Go ahead, my friend talk about that one.

Sarah:

Well, I love yeah, the whole the opening has sort of like an urgent Building up in intensity. It's sort of setting up, you know, the whole feeling of the song. They had that strong rap entry. It was just awesome, like just boom right in your face, but then it transitions into sort of smoother rap awesome. You know. Vocals in the background sounds I don't know. It was like something building up. It just was Percolating and growing and growing. It was awesome. And then at 53 seconds here's where my breakdown. They have this just suave, gravelly voice comes in, sort of like Pleading with the listeners just really wanting you to, to be there with them kind of thing.

Sarah:

You know, in the sense of Following the music with them drawing you in again. What I loved about this, really loved, is it had sort of an 80s New wave sound happening in the middle. The chorus to this Reminded me. Do you remember level?

DJ Panic:

42? No, but I was thinking of another group when I was there.

Sarah:

Well, there's a song called something about you. It's the briefest of moments, but it has the same sort of synth going on.

DJ Panic:

Okay.

Sarah:

Synth lead in and I was like, oh my God, because I loved that song back ages ago Well, I still do, but it had that same sound. So it was just like it's a very interesting segment of the music because it's I don't know, it's sort of random in the middle of everything else they're doing. So it's again this song sort of it goes so many places and it just builds and builds. And then I just really love when they're like I can be your ride or die for real. I know You're like okay, that's my guy, that's, that's what I'm talking about. You know what I mean? Because the way they sing it, the way they say it, you're like oh, they mean it, they want to be my ride or die. Yeah, awesome, you know, and just everything, everything about this. It made like you were saying your temperature went up and down. I was just like, wow, I just feel so loved and adored, even though they're like yeah, baby, do it, just like that.

DJ Panic:

Exactly.

Sarah:

Like like the sentiments, not so sweet, but hey, you know well, you're like okay, I'll take it. So yeah, I really just I vibe to this song constantly. I was just like, because it's got the attitude and then the smooth, like hey, girl, and then the attitude again I'll be your ride or die. Do it? Just like that. You're like oh my God. So that's that's my take on this one. Okay, that's why it was my absolute fave. I I got hung up on it.

DJ Panic:

So Okay, that's awesome. We always that's what they want. You know, get hooked on a song. You're like this one. That's amazing.

Sarah:

But yes.

DJ Panic:

I love this song too, but I think I like temperature a lot more than this one, even though also my fave. I can go for both of them. Yeah, I can hear that synth pop, which is that 80s vibe that you were saying there was house that house also, that is very 80s. And of course the R&B.

Sarah:

I like the synth intro, Do do do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do.

DJ Panic:

I'm like huh, it's like already sounds interesting, but it brought a smile to my face because that sound will just also. It was through the song, the whole synthy. I'm like this is cool, but for me I will. I feel more like I was in cloud nineties vibe. Oh yes, Just because of also some of the beats in there and crew them out, and of course, when they all sing together, you know, like that, just like that, it gave me more of them. Oh my God, Like usher type, like usher.

Sarah:

Yeah, I was like. Oh, yeah, I can hear that.

DJ Panic:

So I was like, oh, usher, okay. So the song transported me to my years in South Florida, going clubbing down in Fort Lauderdale Beach. Yeah, slow cruising on A1A with the car windows down, pumping the base, because this base was good to. And, of course, love, love the vocals. But Jimmy's delivery, chef's kiss, oh my God, do I love that boy.

Sarah:

I love that boy.

DJ Panic:

Geez, you know, I need to find out like who also does the soul tree melodic voices, because, oh my God, when they come in you're also like yeah, there's a lot of girls in this world and I'm like who is that?

Sarah:

Yeah, because that is like so smooth, yeah, and that's what I mean, like the intensity building up with the rap, and then someone just like just brings this, like transports you somewhere with those vocals.

DJ Panic:

Beautiful, like chocolatey, sweet voice. It's like oh my God, you're so decadent. Who are you?

Sarah:

It's so good yeah, oh yeah, it's just golden beautiful.

DJ Panic:

Oh my God, it's amazing. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt.

Sarah:

No, that's. But when you were saying that, I was like, oh my God, yes, right, that rich sound that they had, if it's.

DJ Panic:

Weesa. Oh, I know, baby boy. Geez, we need to find out. I already know who Jimmy is, so every time he comes in, I'm like Jimmy, yeah, the rest I'm like who are you?

Sarah:

So watch some videos, no please let me know.

DJ Panic:

We need to know who is who. We didn't do a deep dive on who is who, but of course Jimmy, because he's losing stuff. I know what Jim is.

Sarah:

Yeah.

DJ Panic:

But oh my.

Sarah:

God. Well, you know what, and I think probably the reason this was my favorite too it just sort of occurred to me now thinking about the other songs is, this is an absolute gem as far as utilizing everybody's voices. Oh yeah, everybody's got something to do. The rap is strong, but the smooth vocals are strong, whereas with the other stuff it's sort of broken up more into these are the rappers and these are the vocals, with a little bit of each. You know what I mean. This one, the blend of everybody's sound, is perfect, so creates this just attention grabbing. Because you're like, oh yeah, we're rapping, we're doing it, and all of a sudden, whoa, I'm like transported, I'm relaxing, oh, and wake up because they're rapping again. You know what I mean. You're just like up and down with the feelings, so, and everybody's, what they're saying at the time is sort of a different emotion of you know, because the smooth there's a lot of girls in this world, but you're the one you know and then the rap being like I'll be a rider.

Sarah:

So it's, it's sort of got a little something for everybody. Oh, just so, this one, this one's perfection.

DJ Panic:

Oh, my goodness. Yes, so you know, featuring JP the wavy. He's like, you know. This is going to be the leading track. I got to be, you know making it.

Sarah:

I'm a little bit of a fan there and a little bit of doing all this.

DJ Panic:

I mean he, this production Great, Wow, Wow, Wow. I mean what they have. You know, the whole RMB and hip hop downpacked.

Sarah:

Oh, yeah, absolutely.

DJ Panic:

Amazing, amazing.

Sarah:

Well, and I noticed too is when I was playing the playlist, you know, once it ends, just random music starts. There's a version of temperature like produced in Featuring JP the wavy, and I'm wondering I? I was like, oh wait, I don't want to listen to that because that's not the one we're talking about but I was like it did seem like it had a slightly different feel to it, mmm.

Sarah:

So I, you know, oh, so that could possibly Enhance my, my feelings about that song, like to differentiate it. But no, I mean, I definitely I liked all of them and I definitely For for temperature and rocket. I think what it was is because I sort of felt myself come down off of the just like that and sci-fi cipher Right, which are high energy, intense songs, right, and then suddenly I have these, like I said, I've envisioned myself sitting around the Fire pit in a ski lodge with a bunch of people just sort of being like, right, flirty and having a good time. Whereas rocket was a little more seductive, so, but both of those were just sort of a mellower, layed-back thing. So I was like, oh, you know, I'm coming down off the high of the other two songs, so that maybe that was it. And then, like I said, of course nothing compares to what spice did to me.

DJ Panic:

No, that was. That was an awesome song it was that collaboration. It was definitely spicy fire, please. Yeah five alarm, whatever you want to call it, it was amazing.

Sarah:

So definitely check out all of the songs because there is such a great variety of sound going on. Yes you're bound to find something that they did that you'll like. Yes absolutely Awesome oh.

DJ Panic:

My god, I love it. Yeah, no, no, it was definitely though with the interruption is happening at work, but even yeah, oh, it was hard to concentrate because I had to.

Sarah:

You know I'm trying to listen but I'm distracted by the awful Detail-oriented work I had to be doing. I was, like you know, sometimes you have sort of mindless Entry work.

DJ Panic:

Yeah, just sort of like I'm doing my thing, not this.

Sarah:

I have to be paying attention to everything I'm looking at and I have to check five different places Before I make a decision about what I'm looking at, so I was like I kept having to go back and rip start over.

DJ Panic:

Oh my god.

Sarah:

Repeat the music because I was like I was so distracted by my work.

DJ Panic:

I Know, well, I was fine with you know my work, I can just into it. I was just having a pretty people just hopping by to ask questions. I'm like email chat, so I don't you know. I'm like, oh, this is gonna be like one of those weeks. Come on. This time I need to listen to four songs. That's three, give me that.

Sarah:

I know right. Well, you know what to? What's funny is usually like I don't get interrupted at work, people don't come bother me, right? Sort of what I do is just my own thing. But, um, I missed a meeting on Monday.

DJ Panic:

What you missed a meeting how can you miss a meeting?

Sarah:

Well, nobody even bothered to try contacting me to be like, hey, sarah, you're supposed to be in this meeting, like okay does it input our reminder? I did, but Sorry, this is the other thing. I work with two screens. When I have something up on the second screen, the reminder pops up, but it stays behind whatever I have open.

Sarah:

Oh so I don't see it and I don't notice the little blinking orange icon in the corner. I don't because I'm focused on everything else. So when I closed what I was working on for a minute yeah, I was like reminder meeting two hours ago. I was like had to go down and talk to my super.

Sarah:

Oh, I was like I'm really sorry, I think I missed the meeting. She's like yeah, you did, oh, so I made sure I had another meeting Wednesday. I like put a big sticky note for myself Well, they don't buy us calendars anymore, so I don't have like I have to bring one in from home, I guess. Oh, okay so or send an alarm on my phone, but anyway no yeah, it definitely work so anyway, so.

DJ Panic:
