Speaker 1:

Hello, this is Tanik.

Speaker 2:

And this is Sarah and you are listening to Music Elixir a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists in music. Hello everybody, Welcome to another episode of Music Elixir. Why?

Speaker 1:

are you laughing?

Speaker 2:

Because I'm trying to think of ways to make it different. Okay, but I like to, even though our little intro introduces us, I like to say it's Music Elixir, and I'm Sarah, and with me is I'm panic looking at Sarah, all confused. It's just. It's been one of those weeks. It's crazy. Yes.

Speaker 1:

Well, I was doing the radio show, I'm going to say on February 24. That's when I did the radio show, Depending on this episode comes out. I was just saying that that week it was like ups and downs, but not like the dance wasn't anything like tragic, it just like man, shit happens.

Speaker 2:

But just go with the flow, you know yeah.

Speaker 1:

And I made some snafus. I made one online with our Music Elixir post. When we posted I, instead of saying Riku, I called him rookie. And then I was thinking, crap, I'm going to, because I was calling him rookie the whole time too, yeah, and our episode. And then I was like dang, so I just want to apologize. I just, for some reason, I love rookie from the Gazette, so that's why just I got stuck that it just. It's only rookie is only one name. There's never, there's never, a Riku.

Speaker 2:

So I am so so sorry.

Speaker 1:

So I just want to give my apologies to Riku for calling him rookie.

Speaker 2:

Yeah Well, it's like when I called Nakamaru Nakamura. Yeah Well, I'm not used to hearing Nakamaru, you know what I mean. So so, when you're not accustomed to hearing a name said you know a certain way, or hearing a name. You sort of it's like a natural instinct to slide to something familiar. Yeah, and you know it's like Smith and Smithe they're spelled the same way but, some people pronounce it differently. Oh geez, you know what I mean. That just depends on yeah.

Speaker 1:

So it's so funny because you said that there's a comedy show that we love from England, the Keeping Up appearances. Yes, there's this lady who calls her same Her name, that her name is pronounced bouquet, but a spell B, u, c, k, e, t, which is pronounced bucket, but even if the husband says like we are not Winston's, we're not bouquet, we're bucket, you are the one that changed the pronunciation.

Speaker 2:

Hi, I sent bouquet.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, that's. I love that show. It's still the day. It's an oldie, we're good.

Speaker 2:

It is, it's funny. Well, it's all right. I did the same day. That same day I was posting Arashi songs because they were all ones that had been released this week years ago and I was doing their little hearts and I always do it in the same order yeah, ono show Iba, nino June, and for some reason I mixed up the June and Nino hearts.

Speaker 1:

Put Nino the youngest, even though he can act like a child, definitely.

Speaker 2:

And I was like, oh my God, how did I do that? Yeah, it's just, it was in the stars. We were fated to make errors.

Speaker 1:

So okay, so that was the error online, the error at work, which is just like reveal later on. So like a part of my job is to work with nurses and I have to, I'm their admin. You know I deal with the paperwork and deal with nursing homes. Thank God, I'm only dealing with four nursing homes into hospitals, you know well, I was like man. This is nothing compared to the past job.

Speaker 1:

Anyways this for me, thank God, is easy, is nice, I love it. So there's some letters that need to be sent. She said that I like to always double check and then recent, and then send it to the appropriate you know whatever nursing home. She didn't catch it. I didn't catch it, neither the nursing home didn't catch it until yesterday and I sent this letter like two weeks ago. The date was wrong it was supposed to be for last year's date and she put it for this year's date, meaning that they could have denied their services for this patient. Oh, oh my God, was I like OMG? And then so the nursing home catch the before they filed it. There's, like you know, they reach out to my and this is my boss, like the nurses boss. Yeah, oh my God, I'm like I usually check your job, your days to, and I and I also forgot and didn't like how can two of us, three people didn't check until like the last minute. So we're like, okay, rectify it, it was a quick fix. Thank God it's a quick fix.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and we were still on time because we have a really good relationship with the home representative. Yeah for the we keep each other in contact and we're good. So yeah, that was a quick fix and yada yada. So that was like a major snafu. So I was like OMG, but my, I love my boss. I have two bosses, probably now three, three supervisors.

Speaker 1:

Anyways, that's another. It you know just because dealing with two departments. But now the she, I, they're both amazing, they just runs, they're both sweet and and you know, and if something happens they're don't freak out, you know, it just happens and we're able to rectify it, you know, anyways. So that's what happened to me this week. Oh, and I was like I made out a tweet I don't know if you saw it when I said be kind to yourself.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, oh yes.

Speaker 1:

I was like I need to be kind to myself and I'm thinking who else needs to hear this? I'm just going to post it out there for anybody that needs to hear that. Be kind to yourself, what's happened, Go with the flow. If it's fixable, it's fixable. But I mean, don't batter yourself for what just happened. You know, yeah, no, we're all human, exactly so it's like a state exactly be kind to yourself. Oh my goodness, how about you? I know you were like I had, so what happened?

Speaker 2:

Well, it was just we had the water heater boiler in our house. Go because you I was running buckets of water out of the basement. Oh, it was so bad, like the thing just blew up. It was awful. I got home and I was like the house feels a little chilly. Maybe, you know, maybe we turned the heat down too much when we were gone for the day, yeah, and then I was trying to wash something and the hot water wouldn't kick in. I was like there's no hot water.

Speaker 1:

I was like oh no, what are?

Speaker 2:

your houses like volcanic, I know right, the fact that it wasn't getting warm was a clue and so like I go downstairs and I'm looking at, I'm like hmm, I don't really. You know, everything looks right, but I don't know anything about. I'm not gonna touch anything and then my landlady came over to try and help and she ran some water into it and then shut it off, and that's when everything went kazoo. It's just like a nightmare. There was water coming out of the radiators upstairs, cuz it, there was so much pressure.

Speaker 1:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

I was like I More exercise in that, like half an hour trying and sorry out. You know we had to shut off the water main but we had to get the water out of the system. Yeah because whatever happened, yeah caused, like a flood of water, to go into all the pipes and everything, and that's why it was coming out of the radiators. So we needed to release that pressure.

Speaker 2:

Yeah but we needed the water to stop running as well. So we had to shut off the water main and we're just draining and draining. But I mean, there was water shooting out Like every possible Seam and crack in the in the thing I was like. No, no, luckily it had, because there was so much of it coming in the, the heater wouldn't have time to.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah to do it.

Speaker 2:

I mean, it was literally like taking a dam and just oh my god, lifting the floodgate and letting all that water go.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god.

Speaker 2:

Wow. But then I had a sort of funny experience to this week that was just sort of historical. I had, like caught my hand in a door so I cracked a nail, oh sort of midway, and I was like I hate when I do this, because when you do that it cracks the nail underneath, mm-hmm. So I had to go get an emergency manicure because I was like I kept bending it and I was like, oh no, ow, so I go and I just got a simple polish, because you and I are planning a spa day, yeah. So I was like I'm just gonna do something plain, yeah, inexpensive, but quick fix.

Speaker 2:

And while I'm sitting there drying, all of the technicians wear masks. I wear a mask in there just because there's, you know, 20 other people. I don't know breathing and I don't want to right sick, so anyway. So I had a mask too, and I'm sitting at the drying station and every person that came in Talk to me like I worked there, like one lady was like she was sitting over. She came in, she sat down, she picked her color and then she got up and she's like where's the bathroom? And I'm like why are you asking me? And then two girls come in there like hi, we have five o'clock appointments. I'm like good for you.

Speaker 1:

The dryer station doesn't look like. What Do they thought they'd have with the front desk?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they must have. And then some these are people who never been there, I guess. So because it was like four, five people, because you know, a couple of them came in together. But like everybody was like hi, I need to get a fill. I'm like, ok, go talk to someone who works here. It was.

Speaker 1:

You should ask her what am I going? Oh my God, for God's sake, you need to pay me. I'm the receptionist, lisa, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Hey, lisa, put me on the barrel, put me on the barrel being a receptionist, oh my God, it was too funny, though I'm just like really oh my God, that is funny, not just one. Oh, my God, that was what made it so hysterical. Like every time someone came in, I tried to act like I'm looking somewhere else. How do I look like I'm a customer? You know, because?

Speaker 1:

you wore a face mask.

Speaker 2:

I swear that's the only reason. The station.

Speaker 1:

I know you're drawing your nails. You thought I got to be people who never been to the salon, never been to that salon.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it had I I don't know, but it was just hysterical because I was like one more person comes in Just tell me they're acrylic snapped or whatever. Oh my God, that was so funny.

Speaker 1:

I love that. I love that, that's funny.

Speaker 2:

It's because we're in our Pisces villain time. So I guess, because when the girls were like we have a five o'clock appointment, I'm like, ok, I like what are you like Whatever? Well, you know, because my eyes, like I cannot like hide the, the quizzical or the confused. You just did it. They must have been like wow, rude, but I was like, oh, my God, I'm here doing my nails, you know like I'm a customer and oh my God, oh my God.

Speaker 2:

So that was like the bright moment of my week because I was like wow.

Speaker 1:

This is just too comical.

Speaker 2:

I think everybody who came in thought I worked.

Speaker 1:

Right, you should have taken their money. They're paying cash. No, you want to do that to them.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no.

Speaker 1:

We love them, but I haven't seen them. With what Tinshuga? Yeah, it's going to be almost a year, almost a year. Well, I got my nails done for sugar.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But no, look at you crying from laughter.

Speaker 2:

Oh God, it was funny.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, oh anyway, we yes.

Speaker 2:

What, what? I also. It's got to be his 10,000 posts or something I had a dream about dice cake.

Speaker 1:

Girl, this boy, right, it's like I'm telling you this should be called dice. K is live journal.

Speaker 2:

It's well. It can't be X anymore. Exactly, takeover, right. I mean he posts all the time, so I don't know if it's all the post should have his own app.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, at this point he should, where he posts pictures of his cat, his food, his food. Oh my goodness, Tuna made a mess on his debate that is like.

Speaker 2:

It looks like a.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I saw that I was like he just like sweat and a stain of a heart. And then I was reading up on him like, oh no, it was tuna he did.

Speaker 2:

I know now and then he was mad.

Speaker 1:

He was mad at tuna, for you know.

Speaker 2:

But he also said I understand, yeah, and I forgive you. He's like because, as all cat owners know, there's a reason that this happens. He's maybe tuna was stressed about something. Maybe he was like oh, this smells so much like my man, I want to like market his mind too. Yeah, so there you go. You know my human. I love them so much, I'm going to make them mine. So therefore, I shall pee on their belongings.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but too funny. So, anyways, I just I had a dream he and I were on a bus and he dyed his hair blue oh, instead of his signature pink. Ok, he had blue hair, and we were just riding the bus, interesting, sitting there next to each other riding the bus and I know we were talking, but I don't remember about what. Oh, but it was just weird, traveling I don't know where we were going?

Speaker 1:

Were you able to see any?

Speaker 2:

scenery. Well, it was like parks and stuff. We were in a city, I think. Oh, I think we had to have been touring around New York.

Speaker 1:

Was it like, like a, like a transit bus or like a type of?

Speaker 2:

tour bus, ok, no, no, it was like public transportation, ok, the Lexington Avenue bus, I don't know, we were. Definitely there was. It was city like, but there was. I remember seeing trees in a park, going by trees in a park and then a few buildings, and then, like I said, I can't remember what we were talking about, but I just remember being like why is his hair blue? Very interesting, I just thought it was funny and cute. And it's because he's on Twitter like every 10 minutes. I don't. Does he sleep Right?

Speaker 1:

What about? Like oh my God, did you saw the survey and I'm like what is the survey? I couldn't translate it very well. Oh then I found out it was like either eat a proper breakfast or ramen. Yeah, and people pick the ramen.

Speaker 2:

I'm like oh no, yeah, because he was like it's like 4 am and I'm still up and hungry. Do I go to sleep? And then have breakfast when I wake up, or and which breakfast?

Speaker 1:

And then I'm like the man needs more than just ramen and yeah, he's so extra. He needs more energy, needs all the energy he needs. You know he should have that. I don't know, People just want to be fine.

Speaker 2:

I thought you meant because he also did a poll about pictures for the, the movie. That's coming up like promotional stuff. Yes, he's like do I do it the day before, the day of or after? So he had that survey too. When you said survey, I'm like oh yeah, and then no. No See, that's how many stuff he does.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, like I missed that one. I just only seen the one with food. Oh yeah, oh my God, see he's. He posed like every minute.

Speaker 2:

The people sent again oh well, this comes like every minute, like this morning when I woke up. It was funny because I actually I woke up and I picked up my phone to see what time it was, because I was a little groggy and it went ping new message on X and it was him and then like 14 seconds later, I mean it was literally I just read that post and it was like ping.

Speaker 1:

It was another one from him.

Speaker 2:

He did like 10 in a row. This he's out of control, oh my god. But it's good, it's fun.

Speaker 1:

He's not the extra in him, it's the extra in him. He's taisuke extra sakuma, it's just mr Extra. Come on, forget the rest. Yeah, no, just she changed his name exactly sakuma's life journal, come on.

Speaker 2:

He's so funny.

Speaker 1:

So the meaning about your bus, you know being in transit. So it symbolizes taking a journey, either physically or emotionally. Hmm, uh, it could represent heading out on a new adventure or confronting something challenging. Um, alternately, the dream could signify that someone else is in control of your direction. Yeah, so take whatever it, you know it?

Speaker 2:

yeah, I don't think it's that, unless you know the boiler is in control. Oh, because that thing is being in my existence.

Speaker 1:

Well, the boiler was kind of extra like that's good. So there you go. It could have been the, the trauma of the. Yeah, that's true. Oh my god, that is crazy.

Speaker 2:

It is.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely. Is it fix, not, do you guys?

Speaker 2:

have any heater. Well, we've got heat and hot water, but they have to come and do something else.

Speaker 1:

So Okay, as long as you're like freezing your butt, oh yeah, no.

Speaker 2:

First, that's like it would have to happen, right, you know, uh, god, yeah, no, we're, we're good, we're good, okay, good, because I was like the coldest part of the month. You know we're we're in the middle of a really cold snap, but like cannot go days without heat in this kind of weather.

Speaker 1:

No, no, it's. It's, yeah, I feel, for those who cannot really, you know, afford, yeah, heat, oh my god. But yeah, this is like the worst time of the year for heat, for those who know that have lived in winters.

Speaker 2:

Anyways. So that's, that's our personal like oh yeah, yeah, we've had a lot of personal going on there, girl.

Speaker 1:

A lot of personal. So, uh, I'm just gonna talk about a few things I found in the news actually recently, recent announcements, um so, swashidomoto, you know. Again back in the news we have made an announcement On his IG that he is leaving start-up, but not kinky kids Because of the history he has, you know, and has developed, uh with Koichi. So, um, they still gonna be kinky kids, but for him as a musician, he said, as an artist and to develop himself. That's why he is leaving start-up.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was saying he feels like he doesn't have the freedom of expression and direction that he needs Working through start-up. So right, so it's like Nino you know, in arashi. He's doing his own thing, but he's still part of arashi, but he left start-up as well, so you know.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, when I saw that I was like whoo, oh yeah, and currently kinky kids are the senpai group of this company. Right they're, they're the senpais.

Speaker 2:

Yes, as far as like still working as a company.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, as a um, that's a whole. You know talent, yeah that they have so, and uh, more news from start-up. Um, sexy zones have made an announcement as well. Uh, they're gonna be uh show a uh a free live on sunday, march 31st um for my kaji, my kento my kenti, kenti, send off, yeah, graduation, Um, but the cool thing about this is that the event will be streamed on on the sexy zones youtube channel. Oh, wow, I know, and it's free.

Speaker 1:

That's awesome, oh, that's awesome yeah it'll be like the first and last For me.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god so Fuma definitely said that that kenti's a departure, not a graduation.

Speaker 1:

He's a departure, mr Fuma koon.

Speaker 2:

He's getting all sassy about it.

Speaker 1:

He was, he did uh, he was under, uh uh qr zone and uh, yeah, that uh I I since I did not read the old the, the translations that I have ever seen but yeah, one of the things that he called mario's a graduation. Yeah well for kenti. He's like he's leaving us, he's, leaving us, he's you know these two Pisces.

Speaker 2:

They love to hate each other.

Speaker 1:

They just you know, it's not like us that we gel. Those two tend to like they have an electricity. With that I mean the fuma, can you? Know, you can't avoid it with him. The fuma can, the twins that you can. Even sometimes in some pictures you're like who's can't use fuma Because they kind of look at the.

Speaker 2:

Well, they'll do the same expression. You know that smoky. Look at the screen.

Speaker 1:

So you're always.

Speaker 2:

They always seem to compete with each other, but they compliment each other too, you know so that's why it's like I love you to hate you. Yes, I know saying well, fuma's like that with everybody, though no way they know. Oh, he is, he gives an you know a hard time, and then he's like but I love you.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he wants to kiss Yamada, but no, fuma, fuma, I don't know. Fuma, yeah, but their chemistry is so like oil and water.

Speaker 2:

But they like considering, yeah, considering they're both Pisces. That's kind of weird.

Speaker 1:

It's like having two betas in a tank. Yeah, there you go. It's like, definitely, having two betas in a tank. Yep, you can't. We've each other's threads if you let them all alone, you know. So yeah, that will be it, and, of course, this should be also an announcement for their new name, because I think that's what they I mentioned and the fan club. I believe that they will also. They're no longer gonna be sexy zone, it's gonna be something else. Which I can't wait. Yes, I can't wait.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it'll be interesting.

Speaker 1:

Kenti's not leaving starto, he's just leaving the group. Now that I'm saying all this stuff about Certain members leaving, but staying or not staying and leaving, yada, yada, yada, all the switcheroo's are going on in the company. I have been noticing, just on ok asia, the amount of Request that are decreasing. Oh really, yes, like especially for this, for the week of the of the 23rd, which I was very surprised, I didn't get many from For west, so they didn't make it to a playlist. I highly got anything for stones, wow, wow, so they didn't make it either. The only one that that made it in there, and barely both the moles, was snowman and sexy songs, but sexy song was also decreasing. So I'm like, what's going on? Are she still being stable?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You know like there's a group operations that, like you know, always there for them, but for the rest, with the exception of snowman, decreased. That's crazy. I have no Kingdom Prince in a while, but now that I mean that was like.

Speaker 2:

It's like not just a group split but an organization split. You know what I mean.

Speaker 1:

So even though there's still a King and Prince. But as soon as number one was out, it's like those fans are like back and they just, you know, literally there's like maybe once in a while I will get one or two requests for King and Prince, but number one is like no more. There's just like I get hundreds, hundreds.

Speaker 2:

Just for now. Well, it sort of shows you how the the fan split is on that too then.

Speaker 1:

Exactly.

Speaker 2:

Everybody knows. So Hirono was my boy, so it sure is so.

Speaker 1:

Hirono seems to be everybody, everybody's boy, japan's boy Boy, you know. But just to let you know. But, snowman, it's been increasing.

Speaker 2:

It's just dice case on Twitter.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, but you know, like, like, like it's weird, or you know, because stones just put out another single around the same time as snowman.

Speaker 2:

So that's really weird. It is very weird.

Speaker 1:

You know, maybe all the turmoil in the company has got fans sort of jittery, not knowing what to do, either that or something is going on and like within because of course we don't see shows from Japan, we don't know what's going on, we don't read it, you know there's not much that we can see and you'll find out Are things happening within Japan that we don't know about that? It might be, I don't know, maybe decreasing support overseas for some of these groups.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know, because the things we see are like Tokyo Hive or a con and then whatever the group or individuals who have Twitter accounts, or Instagram, that's how we see things. But yeah, we don't have access to the shows and the news per se unless we really like search for it, right, and some of them you have to subscribe and I have to translate.

Speaker 1:

Exactly. And then, if you definitely able to, it's like, oh no, you're US, you can't.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's like oh man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, not available in your region.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, exactly, I'm like so I want to give you my money then. So you know, I've been seeing, yeah, this week I was like what happened? I'm like, well, this is not an Lunar New Year. That passed, you know, I don't know, Even if it's golden, yet only no that's sometimes I get a lot of requests on golden week.

Speaker 1:

You know, like I'm thinking it's a major holiday and I just, you know people were like I don't know. I was very surprised. I even reach out to one of the jazzmen that I usually talk a lot. I'm like, hey, just to let you know I didn't play. I feel I'm sorry that couldn't play West because, and then I explain. So she was even surprised it's a girl and I'm like so yeah, that's weird.

Speaker 2:

Well, I was thinking like Aureations are sort of like army. There's a lot in like fiercely loyal to.

Speaker 2:

Arashi, yeah, like me, I've picked up other groups along the way, but it's always Arashi. You know what I mean. So the fan base, I think, is I don't want to offend anybody, but we're a little older, so we've been following them for a long time and we are fiercely loyal to them, so maybe that's got something to do with it. You know these, a lot of these groups. The members have been around in various ways for a while, but not as far as debuting and having music coming out there newer, so maybe oh, I do want to make a correction.

Speaker 1:

Travis, japan has been the most requested. Oh, ok.

Speaker 2:

And then following snow, well, they, yeah, I forget. But Travis Japan had more exposure as per snowman and, like you know, sexy zones In stones, yeah In stone, because they yeah, they were here in America doing stuff. They were on America's Got.

Speaker 1:

Talent.

Speaker 2:

They were doing festivals, yeah, so.

Speaker 1:

I don't know if I should include them, because it's differently, exactly. They have done major overseas. You know productions and you know they've been more public. You know public than the other groups. Ok, yes, yeah.

Speaker 2:

They've had. They've had more exposure Right, They've been able to grab more international fans along the way. Oh, and they did the Cherry Festival in DC, I mean exactly. So Cherry Blossom Festival Sorry.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, cherry Festival.

Speaker 2:

Cherry Blossom Festival. Cherry Blossom Festival, we try to go which is coming up.

Speaker 1:

Yes, we try to go that time and I'm like, can you?

Speaker 2:

So what I'm trying to say is groups that have been around for a long time, right, and have had a lot of build up of fans over time. Yeah, and Arashi somehow managed to have a lot of exposure globally, even though they weren't being promoted globally, and that probably had so much to do with June being in like a million dramas during the early 2000s yes, highly popular dramas that people were seeing, and Arashi, of course, does the theme songs for a lot of those, so their music was more accessible.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And, like I said, the fans, for the most part, a lot of us, are a little older, right, and when we latch on to something, we hang on to it for a very long time, right?

Speaker 1:

That is right and you know the vibe that and I'm not sure. Arashi have is so different from all these groups. It's just, even though Mr Nino it's not with the company, but it's still, everybody is very faithful to them. Again, Arashi are a brotherhood we have mentioned you know they have that brotherhood. It just seems to like subpoena, so genuine with each other.

Speaker 2:

Right, they just there's definitely a bond and they they look out for each other and they care about each other. And it's not that these newer groups don't, and I'm not. I also, like I said, I don't want to offend people, I'm not saying younger fans aren't fiercely loyal, but they don't have. They don't have the time and the length of exposure that we did with, I mean, arashi. It's the 25th year now. You know that's a long time and I haven't even. You know I came in a little towards early beginning, but not the very beginning.

Speaker 1:

You know what I mean.

Speaker 2:

But there's, there is, you know. There's just more time, more energy put into being loyal to these guys, you know. So it's. It's not that younger fans aren't fiercely loyal, it's just they don't have the the time and resources behind them that we older people that's right, I will buy everything Arashi.

Speaker 1:

That's why a lot of younger fans are like why are you going to put it on streaming service? Cause it's cheap, you know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You know which now they're doing with we? Can we super eight after? You know I mean, yeah, they're like, yeah, put them out there. And it's like, oh, geez, how about? You know? Like the rest, you know. So it's just to let you know King and Prince will never be on streaming service. Then you know, and a cartoon just can't you know it's being out. You know we have. Now where has that EP? You know Kamenachan put his out, though.

Speaker 2:

I think he's working on something he better, he just did a single and it's not there. You found to know what. It's kind of funny Cause, as people know, tomahisa Yamashita, yamapi Yamabin used to be with Startle back before they were even started. There was a time that Kamenachan he were working on collaboration together and then Yamapi left and they canceled everything. So Kamenach was going to do something a few years ago and it all got wiped out because Yamapi left.

Speaker 1:

Well, now that you said that, have you seen recently Seen what so Kamenach is doing? A he was in a live or something he was on stage kids who appeared to sing with him Yam upy.

Speaker 2:

Oh interesting. Yeah, they were working together and it got. It got snafu because once Yam upy left the organization, they were like Nope, nothing to do with you at all, because he was in two or three different groups. He got bounced around Like. So I think he was just like All right, you know, I'll work with Kamenash, let's do a thing. And then he's like you know, I need to leave, and they were like Well, then we're not doing anything with you guys.

Speaker 1:

So, exactly. So, yeah, I just that's awesome that I saw that. I'm like, really, yam upy and Kamenash together on stage.

Speaker 2:

Well, they were they were all baby juniors together dancing around, singing.

Speaker 1:

I'm sure some of these guys are like even though you're away, we still hang out and do whatever, and then you know some things, things will happen. Oh, that's cool though. That's awesome.

Speaker 2:

So, yes, so so yeah that's.

Speaker 1:

That's that's why my feelings are so. What is going on in there with the company and now this going with swashy, you know, like leaving, but still you know.

Speaker 2:

So he and Kent here leaving on the same day, Right? Yes, they are 31st.

Speaker 1:

Yes, they are Right. That's just crazy, though I know.

Speaker 2:

So many changes.

Speaker 1:

I, girl, it's just just the tip of the iceberg. What happens without her? She, I don't know, girl, I don't know, I don't know. But anyways, and a new news, or not? No new news? I just saw that actually, family was the one that mentioned this to me. P harmony, the Korean Kpop group, it's coming to Boston. Oh really, yes, no date yet, but they're coming, so they're like we gotta go, we gotta go. I'm like, okay, we'll just wait for dates and then we'll round up all the peeps. Yeah see P harmony.

Speaker 2:

I wonder where they're going to play. Do you know? Did they? Say no, not yet.

Speaker 1:

It's. It's just that they're coming, it's just us Boston. I mean Boston is kind of small, but come on, unless you do it at the MGM, whatever the new place, the Fenway?

Speaker 2:

I'm not sure, aren't they? I was thinking maybe Roadrunners like the Rose did Well that because that's a good venue. That is a good venue, it's a good size. Yes, and it's decent sight lines, no matter where you are. Yes, you can see, well, I mean you can from MGM too. I just don't know how diverse MGM is about their who they have come and play there, you know, okay, well, I think he was a G idol.

Speaker 1:

Some of the girl group was supposed to play there. I think it was G idol.

Speaker 2:

It was G idol.

Speaker 1:

Right in the pandemic happened.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I don't know. Okay, it was a G idol.

Speaker 1:

I think it was G idol. Yeah, it was G idol.

Speaker 2:

I'm trying to think. You know it's hard to say. I think Roadrunners would probably be the most, but we've seen tons of groups at a paradise, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Surprisingly. I mean, it's such a little dinky CD venue. I know One, Okay Well, rock worked there Like yeah, they were the right vibe for that Poor Utada Hikaru when I saw her.

Speaker 1:

Was she? It's a tiny place and she just she's a tiny little woman.

Speaker 2:

She was like everyone's, so close. It was the funniest thing because it's true, the stage I mean there is no separation.

Speaker 1:

No Between the stage and barely a foot.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the the width of an amp. Yeah, you know, I mean it's like oh, I know she, yeah, she was definitely like um girl. Yeah, it was funny.

Speaker 1:

I know you saw that you said it was full of dudes. It was full of dudes. I'm like you're taco boys.

Speaker 2:

Hey, they need to well, a bunch of them that we talked to. It's cause she had done music for video games, right, and maybe anime, but I think it was mostly video games. So this kid is like oh, I heard our music, okay.

Speaker 1:

Speaking of her she just dropped a new song. Oh yeah, I haven't played it yet, but yeah, she just dropped a new song, so that's cool, awesome.

Speaker 2:

Yes, I'm glad, glad they are still doing work. I think I think that she has switched to they and them.

Speaker 1:

I can't remember, oh really so I don't want to.

Speaker 2:

I've been saying she, but I think they have put out some new music in there.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

Cool I remember reading something about that and it. I just remembered as we were talking, I was like, oh, I don't know how they'll feel about, so I want to. I'm trying to, you know, be sensitive to everybody's. We like to try. Oh, yes, I didn't know them. Yeah, it was a year or two ago. I remember reading an article, but of course I had to translate, so I may have been misunderstanding things like we've talked about, you know. Okay, when we read translations, sometimes we're like that makes no sense. Oh, yeah, you know, and you're like what? I don't know what you're saying. So thank you, google for sometimes confusing us. But, of course, but I'll have to check out the new single. I love, love their voice.

Speaker 1:

Beautiful voice. She divorced Francesco Calliano on 2018.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't think it was that long ago that this happened. She had two marriages. Really.

Speaker 1:

Yes, apparently she was married from 2002 to 2007 to a Kazua Ki Kiria and then divorced, then married a Francesco Calliano I did not know that.

Speaker 2:

So, now you know.

Speaker 1:

This is from their wiki. So she was born in Manhattan. Yes, oh, she's American.

Speaker 2:

But she grew up in Japan. Yes, wow.

Speaker 1:

What other news? Any other news? That's it. How about you? Did you find anything?

Speaker 2:

No, she was the big thing, okay, and then the ice-cake all over.

Speaker 1:

Having fun, having fun.

Speaker 2:

But, like I said, it was so funny to wake up this morning. I'm looking at my thing and it's like ping and I'm like, oh, it was like. It was like I knew he was going to post something, but then I was barely done reading and translating and he posted something else.

Speaker 1:

When I'm on air, he's there and I'm like, I'm like geez, when I'm posting a song, there's like three other, like posts from ice-cake. It's crazy. I like when he does the cats, he put some tuna and like, no, don't look at this, she wait you know, I was going to ask you, did you see not Japanese related news.

Speaker 2:

This Korean Uh-huh. Did you see JK's new Calvin Klein ad? Hello, no, oh JK, oh Girl, because they had the short clip of him on the escalator with Iggy Pop's the Passenger Plan.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I loved that which I was like. I'm like, wow, interesting song for him.

Speaker 2:

Yes, but they did another whole longer video and then there was a few other shots of him in different outfits around the thing and while I was down in New York this weekend, like every billboard ad you know, along the streets the next to kiosks and stuff they have the light up ads, bus stops and things. Like everyone, we went by. As soon as we got near it the JK ad started playing. Oh MG girl.

Speaker 2:

I was like he's following me around in York and like I'd stop and stay Well it's just like you can't stop and you just have to. You look you're like oh my God. And I know people are like what is that lady doing standing there?

Speaker 1:

like you know how many people are just probably standing in front of that, because they know who it is Well.

Speaker 2:

Nobody else was, it was just me, oh.

Speaker 1:

They're probably saying I know they're crazy from New York. But, yeah, no, he's, yeah, I'm like no no, like you know.

Speaker 2:

you know, Calvin Klein was holding on to that, being like, oh yeah, waiting for the right moment. Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

They know. They know their tactics.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

And then, of course, on Instagram is pulling, you know, oh, the Wamsum RM. He posted an archive today in uniform. He's in the army with his platoon.

Speaker 2:

Oh, Well, like a couple of weeks ago, he must have had a few days off, because remember he posted a bunch of sort of like more memory. Yeah, Reminiscing photos.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it was there and I'm like hi, boy, hope you're good. Eat. Well, take care of yourself.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1:

Please be kind to yourself, anyways. No, I'm trying to find out anything about what other? Yeah, on the wiki, but I can just yeah but yeah, just find out that she was married twice yeah.

Speaker 2:

I didn't know that either, or he got.

Speaker 1:

it was married twice January 19, 1983. She just turned 31, 41, 41.

Speaker 2:

Same age as Nina Mia and Matsu Jun. Sorry, matsumoto Jun and Nina Mia Kazanari, the way I say every but all their names like hey, it's OK, whatever. Nickname Nina, nina, mia, all right, so cray, cray.

Speaker 1:

No, it's cray cray. That's gay, I know. Oh, I am enjoying Daisuke's Twitter. Oh yeah, absolutely. It's just when Nino was out there. I'm like you know, it's so crazy. And then all of a sudden, tiger comes up with his name, Like oh my goodness, look at this boy going off on his Twitter. Then Daisuke comes out and I'm like OK, daisuke is the one that I really, really, really enjoy a lot and he gets because he posts pictures you know, and it's.

Speaker 2:

It's sort of like he just he gets a thought and he's like I want everybody to know what's going on. Yeah, I just thought of something. Did I think?

Speaker 1:

I just bought this map. This map the new stretching man, yeah, the yoga mat.

Speaker 1:

It is like I love this yoga mat. I fell asleep. I was like, oh my God, you know, yeah, the whole tuna thing. Tuna left me a present like, oh no, poor tuna, missing daddy. And yeah, you know, he's like probably comes home, be like I'm hungry, I'm going to eat, comes back I'm, oh, I'm taking a bath. Yeah, he loves to say that I'm going to go take a bath down and go to sleep. I'm like why you got to say that you got to take a bath? And everybody's thirsty thoughts are like, ah, that is kiss making now. Oh my God, yeah, the boy knows what he's doing.

Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, yeah definitely.

Speaker 1:

All right, All right, girl, we're done yeah.
