Speaker 1

Hello, this is Panic.

Speaker 2

And this is Sarah and you are listening to Music Elixir a podcast between two friends discussing their favorite Asian artists and music. Welcome everybody to another episode of Music Elixir with me, sarah Ann DJ.

Speaker 1

Panic. Sarah made me giggle because you were wiggling. I'm like, what are you wiggling?

Speaker 2

I don't know, I was feeling saucy.

Speaker 1

You feeling sassy over there, saucy, saucy Okay.

Speaker 2

Your computer loves to be in there, always bling Bling. I know I've tried everything to shut that crap off. It doesn't work, but I've noticed it doesn't actually show up in the recording.

Speaker 1

I hear it Well what what in the playback? I do. I hear it and I'm like, oh, they're serious damn. I don't usually hear it.

Speaker 2

It's probably a tone that I don't okay, you're used to it. That's why no, I've tried shutting off notifications, everything. I can't get it to freaking stop you know.

Speaker 1

That's just to let everybody know that this is more comedic than informational. This is like your besties we are your besties that you hanging out with listening to their shenanigans.

Speaker 2

You know what are they doing this week you know, in the coffee shop and everybody's phones going ping ping ping there you go. It makes it more real exactly, exactly.

Speaker 1

We're not stuffy like some.

Speaker 2

You know other podcasts, you know it's like oh my god but we're also not so lackadaisical that we let every little true, we try we try to keep a lot of outside forces away from what we're doing yes you know, like when we were worried about the construction. We're like oh my goodness, I know and actually when we used to record at the studio, we'd be like, oh my God, the ambulance and the fire, Like emergency crews screaming by.

Speaker 1

Always, always, oh, they'll have auctions on the upstairs. We're like, oh my God.

Speaker 2

No Moving furniture.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yes, yes.

Speaker 2

So my little ping isn't you know?

Speaker 1

No, it makes it more, you know, personal, personal More, I don't know. Yeah, personal, I guess More casual, yeah, yeah, casual.

Speaker 2

There you go, without just being totally lax and like, oh, whatever, you know Exactly, hear the dishes clanging in the background. You know no.

Speaker 1

These are natural sounds. These are not you know how do you call those the pre-record. You know the add-ons. You know some people do that, like they add it on the background. It's like why you want to do that? Yeah, I don't know Might as well. Just be at a place that you can record, and then you can have that. You know. Anyways, as you can tell everybody, this is a ransom rambling I.

Speaker 2

We are preparing a new music one, but yes, it takes time, especially now that we're both working, but not working in the same place. It was easier when we were working in the same place yeah, and I don't know why, because we weren't listening together and we weren't talking about it before. It just seemed like it was easier to.

Speaker 1

Yeah, maybe maybe because we, even though there was chaos, but we had like an organized- chaos we knew like what to do and things were done the same. Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh my God, the same chaos every day, five days a week for 40 plus hours. I know, girl, we gave volunteer time for that place. Oh yeah, we plenty.

Speaker 2

That has stopped.

Speaker 1

I know, oh for yeah, for you still in the company? I'm not. I'm in a totally different company, which is different, but you know, my time is well spent and I'm not as crazy.

Speaker 2

Right, well, I mean, I'm actually half the time. They're like oh, you should just take off. Now You've got sick time, you've got vacation, okay, like okay, it's weird, I know. Before it was like no, you can't leave, and now they're like well, if you know, if it's slow and you feel like you're not, you know doing anything just save it for another day, you know okay, yeah, that never happened.

Speaker 1

I know I just that's how conditioned we were. Yeah, it's crazy. And um, uh, it took me a while when I was on my on where this new company and how they run things, I still had the work ptsd from the other job, like I was always worried, always worried, and then I was like, wait a minute, it's just, there's not the same place, it's a different, different place. It's a different work culture. It's like they really care about the employees.

Speaker 1

You know, and even my boss. She reminds me, you know, because, like, have you taken your wellness hour this month? Have you done, you know? And I'm like thank you for reminding me. Yes, this is my wellness hour, you know. So it's like I have more perks.

Speaker 2

The other job we have perks, but if we took our perks, it was given with guilt yeah, yeah, you were made to feel like, well, you know, sure, go on vacation, but now everybody's gonna be under so much pressure I'm like I just do you want to.

Speaker 1

You always wanted to throw it back at them. I'm like it's not my fault, it's your fault for not having the correct staff for each project or department. It's not my fault that you're hiring people that don't know anything. Yeah, exactly, okay. Anyways, we can go on that.

Speaker 1

I know it's just never gonna go away well, it is a rants and rambling, so we're ranting a little bit, yeah I I just to say that my organization knows about the organization and they have heard things that are not from me, but I mean they have asked me if that ever happened. I'm like, yep, it's true.

Speaker 2

Whatever you heard, it's true. Oh, giving away trade secrets. Huh, Not trade secrets, just things that happen over there.

Speaker 1

They're like, oh, is this really happening? I'm like, yeah, it did happen, it happened, anyways. But I just want to say, speaking of work and whatever, I'm going to start something that I think all fandoms I know we cannot say this enough because we have actually mentioned it on past episodes about all the groups, but I mean this should be for all fandoms, all groups, all artists, even actors, actresses, all everybody. So I'm going to read this article from Soompi. This is about New Jeans Agency asked fans not to give members letters at airport. Yeah, I saw that. Oh my God, this is, you know, it's stressful enough and it's crazy. So I'm going to be reading an actual letter that the agency Adore have actually posted to everybody. And why not also say it ourselves as well? Because if anybody comes across this episode, please, you know we're fans as well. We always, I mean, if we hello. When I saw charles from the pixies that, I was like, oh my god, okay, yes, I did had a moment, and family were like, oh, geez, anyways, I know how you all feel when you see your fave, but please, okay. So the letter says hello, this is adore. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the fans who have been showing love and support for new jeans.

Speaker 1

Many dangerous instances have occurred recently during eugene's departure and arrival, such as large crowds gathering at the airport. This is so nonsense. It just should not be happening. People are going okay. Giving presents or fan letters during a congested situation with heavy human traffic may lead to dangerous accidents requiring extra caution. As such, we would like to inform you, as we have in the initial notice, that fan letters can be delivered only through the designated methods. Designated methods New Jeans do not receive gifts, including support and fan letters are only accepted through designated PO Box or New Jeans fan club managers during open mic shows or in-person fan sign events. So please be advised gift and fan letters left in unofficial locations or delivered using on designated methods will not be delivered, so meaning, if you do that, they're going to the trash yeah, exactly that's what they're doing.

Speaker 1

They're dumping it in the trash. So all your money or your half heart felt you know packaging, making it pretty and all this because you know how plans we get. We want to make it perfect. All that effort and love that you have putting in that gift is going into the trash.

Speaker 2

Yeah, plain and simple well, I mean it is. It's just dangerous because a you've got a large crowd of people just sitting there and your idols, your, you know, whoever you're there to see are not the only people trying to get in and out of this airport, right, you know what I mean. So you're sort of. I mean this has been going on, though, like you know, the beatles when they came over that was centuries, not centuries decades ago, decades, decades but you know I mean, maybe beethel wouldn't have something like that too but he never said anything.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, no, I'm sure he or you know, I think mozart actually mozart definitely did.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah, the guy was crazy anyways. But you know, I mean you're creating unnecessary stress for not just other people in the airport but probably for the artists. I mean, getting swarmed like that has got to be terrifying.

Speaker 1

You're being a nuisance, you're being a pest.

Speaker 2

You know they have like just a rope barricade. You know, I mean it's not like there's a wall or a fence between them, and I mean I can't imagine having hundreds of people rush at me, exactly like, and waving letters and things in your face. You know what I mean. It's just yeah, it's, it's stressful for everybody.

Speaker 1

Yes, you know people who are just going for their regular destination. You know the bouncers, you know the security yeah security, the airport security, even private security for the group. So just to let you know, when those people shove you, I'm just gonna say good, because you're not supposed to be doing that. You know, I don't, I don't feel sympathy for you. You'll be like oh my god, they shot me and I hurt me.

Speaker 2

I mean they shouldn't be knocking you down and kicking you or anything, but like if they're holding you back, you know, and like resistance pushing you. Yeah, that's their job, that's what they're supposed to do, and people who aren't already not liking k-pop.

Speaker 1

See this thing, they're already. It's fueling those haters more like oh look at these people, blah, blah, blah, blah and making this awesome platform just making it worse. Because you know how it is with hate hate spreads quicker than you know oh yeah, and positivity and you know, let's make this a positive thing. You know it. Just think of them. Just you know they're going like you. You're going on airplane, you're going in and out. That's all. And if, if there is already.

Speaker 2

They're just going about their business is.

Speaker 1

There's a repeal box. You know there's already already signed something for you to send stuff. Just do it there.

Speaker 2

You know it's jeez yeah, plus, do you want your impression on your artist to be like crazed face waving letters and teddy bears in there exactly all up in their grill right and?

Speaker 1

sometimes, wherever airport they are at, sometimes you can't even take, you know, like there's certain foods or certain things that you cannot take yeah so yeah, it's gonna go into the trash yeah it's gonna be going into the trash, or maybe somebody at the tsa airport would be like oh, I like this oh yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1

Oh, look, cookies, cookies, exactly. Oh, look at all these candies. Oh, I got some new toys. I'll give it to my, to my loved one, you know. So, yeah, no, please, you know, just send it to the appropriate channels for all your fandoms, because I'm sure all, all groups have an old yeah, please, oh yeah, no, everybody has a physical mailbox.

Speaker 2

You can mail things to you exactly or like they said you know, try to get into the fan sign and then you can give it to them in person, exactly in an organized manner, without getting shoved by other people, without getting shoved by security, you know speaking of fan signs, when we went to to see the gazette in new york they have because they know fans bring stuff.

Speaker 1

They have totes where you can put in their oh yep gifts for the group because you know we have the fans well, it's not fan sign. But this, you know, the, the meet and greet.

Speaker 2

Yeah, oh my god, two second handshake, yeah oh, but you know why?

Speaker 1

those two things? That's just like forever in my brain, oh I know right oh my god when all I could say was you're beautiful and your hands are so soft, like how you keep them that way oh my god, especially playing guitar and all that no calluses like Kai plays like drums. The man is on that. You get calluses from the sticks. Yeah, nothing. And he's so cheerful. And they even you know, like, oh, like I can expect that from ruki. You know the singer.

Speaker 1

He's always so beautiful, right you know but yuruha, and of course, uh, uh aoi, their hands. You know playing string, it's still calluses.

Speaker 2

Yeah, you get. You know, I don't know, it was crazy yeah no, it's so exciting, but anyways yeah look at me so yeah, they had that.

Speaker 1

Speaking of that, then I started thinking of them and I'm like it was so worth the hundred something dollars that I paid okay, no, I don't even know.

Speaker 2

I don't think it was, that it wasn't outrageous I will pay for that again, just to get as close as you can get, okay anyways see, we can fangirl with the best of them, but it was in an organized exactly. Everybody was in line, everybody was just doing their thing. You know exactly?

Speaker 1

yeah, it was cool, wouldn't you pay it again? Oh yeah, absolutely, yes, the one that I want to pay for that. I we couldn't Dear and gray.

Speaker 2

Yes, that would have been interesting. I think I might've been a little intimidated.

Speaker 1

Toshia and.

Speaker 2

I.

Speaker 1

Jesus, I loved, I loved Toshia. Oh my God Toshia. Have you seen their pictures lately from their European tour? No, oh my God girl.

Speaker 2

I'll have to check it out.

Speaker 1

See, they're in our age. We can't. I don't know if they're taken, but for me they're not. Now my Nakamaru is the male married. Anyways, I still have theulu moments with nakamaru. But anyways, let's give a congratulations to our bts jimin to set spotify record for the fastest korean language song to surpass 1 billion streams. So of course, our boys from b BTS always just reaching you know.

Speaker 2

Milestones yeah.

Speaker 1

They're in the military and they still, like I know, topping charts, bringing out new stuff for us to listen to or like. Go crazy, for it's insane.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I mean, every month Jin has a new message for the masses. He recorded enough little monthly. Hi how you doing? It's just me to last till he comes back, I mean wow and you know, you know rm probably has a new album coming out because he was working on music. Oh yeah, and look at like, with v's friends coming out in the middle of you know he's been gone and bing new music. I know a single hobie's new album dropped, I mean yeah.

Speaker 1

So you know there's more, there's more oh, it's gonna be crazy so now we're just waiting for jimin to drop something new, because that song came out a year ago in march yeah, I was gonna say that was it march or end of february, beginning march, I guess yeah I can check right now. Let's see uh like crazy was originally released on march 24, so meaning that it took just 377 days to hit the 1 billion mark.

Speaker 2

Wow, that's crazy, because didn't D-Day came out like right after that.

Speaker 1

Was it? And then we saw him in April, right yeah?

Speaker 2

It's going to be a year since we saw him, I know.

Speaker 1

And then we're going to see him again.

Speaker 2

So it's been? Yeah, I think, because remember we only had a week to learn the album before we were going to the concert, but we listened to it like night and day so it was no, you know problem there, but I mean, that's what they've been doing. They're like jimin drops an album, then suga, a few months later, v, and then two months after that, jungkook. You know, I mean, it's like they're just like pow, we're not. You don't forget.

Speaker 1

Pow, pow, pow new music pow, don't worry, army they are there, don't worry they're out there. It's just, you know, everybody's like, oh yeah, they went to the military. I'm like they had this already calculated. We're doing this, we're doing that and everybody will be fine. I miss you. I'm like you guys are never going to let them go. It's all right. Do you have any news?

Speaker 2

Any K-pop news? No, not really K-pop. Well, I mean, you know, we were sort of just talking about it Okay. Baby Opa in the army band playing saxophone. Oh my God, yeah. For those who don't know, baby Opa is Namjoon, that's my nickname to Mr Uh Kim Nam Joong.

Speaker 1

Yeah, if he ever hears that, I'm like why is that? Why is that? I don't know. I'll explain it to you, boo, if we ever meet in person, if I ever met him in person, I'll be like I can't explain anything. You're right in front of me. I can't even say anything. Exactly, that will be me Forget. If we see Tay-Tay, if Tay gave me a stare, I'm dead.

Speaker 2

I was going to say I'd be like catatonic.

Speaker 1

Exactly, dead, dead.

Speaker 2

Dead.

Speaker 1

You know the way that he gives you a look and talk Dead, dead. Oh man, you know the way that he gives you a look and talk Like dad, dad, how would you feel if you met Suga? Yeah, I'll be like, yeah, I'm going to be starstruck, but I don't think I'll be as much.

Speaker 2

He's sort of more approachable, even though he doesn't want to be approached.

Speaker 1

That's the thing.

Speaker 2

There you go go. Well, because he's so like mellow and sort of just goes about his thing despite what's going on. You know like when they're like do a pose, do a pose. He like turns his head briefly and smirks or whatever and then keeps going, whereas everybody else is like, okay, I'll play to the camera. He's like, yeah, I have no time I got recording to do.

Speaker 1

I'm gonna hurry like yeah. So he's just he's.

Speaker 2

He's sort of just an every guy. You know what I? Mean like he's.

Speaker 2

He just marches his way to wherever he's got to go, does his thing, he's the one running away from everybody, and you're like well, you know, everything he does is sort of effortless, like he doesn't have to work hard to just look good, look cool, look suave, whatever he's doing. You're like how is he wearing like cutoff jean shorts in that bucket hat pulled down over his eyes, yeah, and he looks awesome All of them. So he's just. I think it's because he's just so natural and comfortable with who he is and what he's doing. So I think he just seems sort of more like someone you'd be able to just go up and talk to. Everybody else is sort of I don't know. Got a little mystical about them. That you're like I don't know if I can approach them oh, especially jim, and he's so beautiful.

Speaker 1

I was like I'm just gonna look at you and admire you I know right.

Speaker 2

Oh my god, like the little little pixie glow he's got yes you're like oh my god he's so beautiful actually, I think jim would probably be approachable, because he's like come on, why are you being all Delulu? Just be real. He's like hi, how you doing.

Speaker 1

Just walks around. Hi, I'm Jin oh man. So, oh yeah, what I was going to tell you, your favorite from West. Uh-huh, it's on the cover of Anon.

Speaker 2

I think I saw that Is he half naked right?

Speaker 1

Of course, when you're on the cover of Anon Not always, not always.

Speaker 2

Some of their covers. Your people are clothed.

Speaker 1

Who are we talking about? I know they're like okay, west, which member is Sarah's fave? Is that Takahiro Hamada? Omg, I saw that cover and I'm like he's wearing these pants. It's like how low can you go? That's all I have to say. And you know, like that little peekaboo of not just not your brief, but like boxer shorts, sarah's like yes, so you have seen this. Yeah, I did.

Speaker 2

You have been studying it that's sarah's favorite from west, because he's another one of those people that, like he's, he just does what he wants to do. He's so natural and funny, like just doing his thing.

Speaker 1

I want to say no pretense about what really really got your heart or your attention was when he was wearing the carnival. Yes, with the purple sparkle pants.

Speaker 2

That were see-through.

Speaker 1

Sarah was like ooh, you're like a magpie Shiny, colorful. I love you. And, of course, his attitude is so cool because he's just like uh, you know.

Speaker 2

Yeah, he was working it, working it. Oh my God, that was awesome.

Speaker 1

That's why he's your favorite.

Speaker 2

He's like that's why he's your favorite. He's like that's my favorite. I love him well because you know I mean that takes confidence to put on the outfit he had on. Yes, dance around like everybody else was looking sort of pretty, you know average.

Speaker 1

Well, things were happening to each for this for this album. Yeah, he came out all grand and he was the last one. Too big old plume. Everything was throw from the agency. You gotta make this costume grand sequence, putting some little mirrors on that thing. Oh my god, he was wearing everything just to appear there to say something for a few seconds I know right, it was awesome, though it was awesome so sarah's like. I like him, he's my favorite. Who is that I'm like?

Speaker 2

here we go the magpie, it's a magpie in you, it is totally is throw some sequins on it and I'll be like, oh pretty oh, my god.

Speaker 1

Oh, speaking of pretty. Okay, we'll get to that part. Do you have any other j-pop news before we hit the last one?

Speaker 2

well, we have uh imp coming out with a new yes album soon. Excuse me, and actually you know I was thinking about on the drive over here. Yeah, you know how number one is doing the whole. Blow my cover. I feel like we dropped our episode we were like we love that song, it's our favorite, and then suddenly they're like promoting. I wanted to touch on that. Yes, tacky's listening to us. I know he is like okay, guys, we got to do this song. This song needs to be.

Speaker 1

He did he did tacky, I know you're listening tacky, don't be pulling our leg. I know you are.

Speaker 2

Come on, respond to my emails and and it's so funny because that dropped like the news about them promoting that was like a week and a half ago and it was just today. Driving over that I was like wait a minute, they did that after we dropped our episode and talked about that song like forever. Oh my God. Because, we knew Because he knew he did hear it. He's like crazy Americans, like this song. We got to promote it.

Speaker 1

Liquor seabed chocolate Like what the heck? Is going on, but we loved it, so when I found the lyrics in japanese, it just said seabed and then I was listening to the song and I was like I think it's kishi singing that part. And then he says see, but I'm like it is seabed what, why, why, why.

Speaker 1

I want to know people. Can somebody please translate this properly? I want to know what. Can somebody please translate this properly? I want to know what's going on in this song, but all I hear from the fans is like yes, more chocolate.

Speaker 2

And I'm like what is?

Speaker 1

going on with the chocolate.

Speaker 2

I told you, cause chocolate releases endorphins that make you happy and euphoric.

Speaker 1

Yeah, but like I want to know more. Is this song about chocolate?

Speaker 2

only no, no, it's about making you feel good. Come on, we talked about this.

Speaker 1

I know it does, but I'm playing dumb here, oh my god, oh yeah.

Speaker 2

So so that's sorry, the talking about imp and I was like, oh well, who else in to be has got stuff going on and we've got, oh you're still thinking of that song, are you? My brain is like tapioca.

Speaker 1

Let's see, you know, I got all the yama came out with something new, yes, which I played on okay asia, that is such a good song speaking of, if you're following okay, asia. On the program of april 6 I dropped two new singles that actually start to has released only on youtube. They have sent me music I'm like, so happy. So one is for naniwa danshi's new classic classic of naniwa, very cutesy, springy. The video is lovely as well.

Speaker 1

So, of course, go to youtube to check that out and stones also, and Stones also released Neuro, which is the theme song for Tyga's new drama, which also, I think, travis Japan is in. One of the boys from Travis Japan is going to be in the same. Of course, I wrote the article and I forgot what I put in. You know, I'm so like professional, you know.

Speaker 2

So that is what's going on for stutter talents I was sort of surprised when I heard the stones song because I was like, oh, this is a little sort of more laid back for them. Yes, knowing that it's for a drama, it sort of makes sense, you know. Yes, it's got to be sweet. And unless, unless you're talking about, like you know, ma Mao or matching, where you've got sort of like a demented character, and then that song wouldn't fit so well, no, so yeah, like Stones we have seen that or heard that they're not going through the classical sound.

Speaker 1

You know their usual sound for that company. So hearing this song, I was just like what happened, but then, of course, it's because of a drama and you and I, you know, and I get it when it's like lovey dovey dramas you want to make a sound like that?

Speaker 2

yeah, you need a sort of sweeter sound.

Speaker 1

This is tiger so, like I said I, was a little when I heard it.

Speaker 2

I was like what?

Speaker 1

yeah, this isn't. This isn't stones. Exactly that was my, my reaction to like, oh, like, what happened, you know, but uh, after knowing what it is, you know thanks to starto. Thank you, starto, for uh sending me information on when it comes to you and I just want to bring out the article, okay, my article, if you want to go to ok asia's website. On april 5th, stones released their this second 12 12 single nato. I'm like second. No, that would have been like many years ago, maybe two or three it.

Speaker 1

It's now available on YouTube, on YouTube Music Only, if you want to stream it there. So this one is for the theme song for drama O Mukai Shibuya-kun, which stars Taiga and features Kaito, which is your boy of Travis Japan. So when is the drama going to be released? I don't know. That was not specified, but this single will be available on May 1st only from CD version and you can buy it wherever you can, you know, get CDs?

Speaker 1

I know one, but I'm not going to say because they're not sponsoring us, but you can get it from them sarah knows who it is so that is what's going on for stones and, of course, like sarah said, the sound is something that, uh, you know we don't expect hearing any more from stones, but it's since it's for a drama, it needs to have that feels yeah, we.

Speaker 2

Can we understand where it's coming from exactly. Actually, have you checked out the new heisei jump too, though?

Speaker 2

no, I have not I like it you do it better be on spotify, mao wo muke, I'm probably saying that totally wrong. I don't know, it was cute. I watched the video for it because that's all we have, yeah, and that's the only way that we can see the, but they're looking sharp. Everybody's wearing like shark skin suits you know, shiny, there we go, magpie. Shiny material, the magpie and they all look awesome and it's a fun song.

Speaker 1

It's definitely upbeat and peppy okay, so it's not on spotify yet hoping that it's on spotify, because they do have a spotify, yeah they do so we'll see you know, and um, yes, please hello starto how come this is not on spotify? Come on you know that you released something on october 24 last year and I'm expecting everything to be just dropping there.

Speaker 2

Come on yeah, if you've got the artist on there already, you may as well just cartoon has been doing that.

Speaker 1

You know, like hello, hello, come on, I'm just saying it's not my contact's problem to do this. Uh, he has heard plenty from me like, hey, when are you? Hey, the reply is like we're working on it. We're working, you know, we gotta think of money, we gotta think of this and that and we gotta think of other people. You know, and I'm like, uh, I'm like, so, I'm just. I stop asking. You know very well how I feel. Anyways, what else? Oh, okay, so when I talk about then that, what the big, big news?

Speaker 2

Yes, the big, big news About how Sexy Zone did their final performance together on a YouTube live.

Speaker 1

So on March 31st at 7 am Eastern Standard Time. So for us, yes.

Speaker 2

For us.

Speaker 1

Sexy Zone streamed their last performance on YouTube, instagram and exclusively also on the fan club. On the fan club they got to see Mario's yoke.

Speaker 2

Oh really, yeah Of course, Because he was there.

Speaker 1

I'm like hmm, I mean, I know, hello, hello, I couldn't pay for it. How can I? Anyway, so speaking of magpie, those shiny suits I know right like silver glittery. Yes, it was so.

Speaker 2

It was nice, I loved it it was a nice simple look, yes, but with a little bit of glam to it, you know, yes, so it was very nice. That's just the black turtleneck with the suit.

Speaker 1

Yeah, no, they look it looked really nice, it looked very good so that day they said goodbye to kenty, okay, kento nakajima and, of course, the name of sexy zone. It was a very emotional live, as you know. Listening to their songs, I'm like oh my god, this is cool. And I'm like I know I gotta keep my composure, you know, hearing the songs and just seeing them. And, of course, when it came to that break, when they talk and kenty started talking about leaving, oh, my God. I started to cry.

Speaker 2

I was at the laundromat. I was like, are you crying?

Speaker 1

I was like I held it until Kenty started choking you know of like holding tears and I'm like, oh my God, kenty. And then Fuma, fuma, I lost it with Fuma. And I'm like, oh my god, can't think. And then fuma, fuma, I lost it with fuma. Because you know, fuma is so like strong, looking very like I don't cry, just like certain somebody at arashi, that doesn't do that yeah, and he's always sort of sarcastic about stuff exactly he was just doing a side eye like I'm not gonna cry.

Speaker 1

I am not gonna cry, but he am not gonna cry, but he was cheering up. I'm like no, that was yeah, that was crazy. And of course, all the members were all teary as well.

Speaker 2

Because you know Well, of course. I mean you know they've been together for years.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I mean, they took together 12 years, but before that even more Especially Kenty and Fuma you know the fuma can yeah they have even the strongest, longest bond from all the members and, but also like the the most um static relationship too.

Speaker 2

Like they butt heads I know they do, but they get along, you know it's. It's such a weird dynamic just like I said.

Speaker 1

You know they're like two bettas in a tank.

Speaker 2

Yeah, you know, they're both flamboyant, they're both like even fuma has said that he's like oh no, we're always like you know at each other, but like there's still a bond there, yeah, there's still a camaraderie, and they're gonna miss each other.

Speaker 1

They are kenty's already started his own fan club thing oh yeah, on that april 1st he was already um hit the ground running. He's like here's my new fan club. Here's the video. He's like I'm like whoa boy, the same thing you know with fuma show.

Speaker 1

I mean shorty and and so yeah they quickly also released a video or live stream. Actually, um, the new name? Because we were like what is the new name? Yeah, because we thought that it was going to happen on the 31st. But now we know why because not just only a new name, but they're looking for new members, did they say how many they're looking for, or is it?

Speaker 2

just that's what I'm thinking like. Are they going to get two more right, or just one?

Speaker 1

one. I don't know, they did not mention it could be six.

Speaker 2

Yeah, yeah, exactly there could be any. Yeah, the open auditions happening. So that's kind of great, because I I sort of I don't know about it was almost like I just was under the impression they were going to continue as a trio. Yeah, me too Like.

Speaker 1

Katoon.

Speaker 2

It never occurred to me that they might pick up new members.

Speaker 1

Yeah. So I was thinking, oh look, fuma's going to be following Katoon's footsteps, we're going to be a trio. But no, that was no. They want to give a chance to, I guess, the juniors who have not debuted that are not being in a group. They're also looking for outside talent, not just only within the agency. Also, fuma did a Q&A on Instagram, very eloquently and, of course, sometimes funny, you know, addressed to the fans. You know a lot of their concerns. Funny, you know, addressed to the fans. You know a lot of the concerns. Actually, there was one concern, one question that he answered very eloquently, was of uh, one fan asked handling other fans like bullying or being negative about the new members. Right, and one thing he says like first of all, any bullying, any harassment online on all levels is unacceptable, not just yeah, I saw that.

Speaker 1

You know like he is so against anything that is like that on all levels, not just only them personally or the agency, but on other platforms. So I'm like yay, fuma he eloquently, just you know said.

Speaker 2

He should remember that, though when he gives nino and nakamaru a hard time, right, he says that, but I'm just kidding no, what he said, that's a different bond.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that it is, and speaking of different, about oh my god, will you get somebody who's over 40?

Speaker 2

I know, oh my God, I was like you're going to quit Katsun and join. Well, we didn't say what the new name is yet. Oh, yes, I mean a lot of people know already.

Speaker 1

Yes, so they announced new name as Timeless.

Speaker 2

And I love that Timeless is spelled with an S-Z on the end, spelled with an SZ on the end, so they kept a little piece of who they were and what they were about without having to keep that name. So I really liked the way they did that.

Speaker 1

That was awesome and also Timeless is a song. It was when Mario's Yo left the group, so it's still incorporating all of them in there.

Speaker 1

Right, it's keeping sort of that core idea of who they were, but now they're moving forward and, yeah, maybe gonna have new members, hey never, let's see so on instagram, let me tell you on instagram, um fuma posted a picture of genta from travis, japan, and I'm like thinking is genta moving to the timeless? Because of course I'm not reading western japanese. I'm like, hey, is that a headshot for the new timeless decision?

Speaker 2

who else well, that would be quite a shake-up yikes, right? No, but I mean I was like hey, interesting, you know but actually I think I remember seeing something I don't know if it was that, but I think they were saying something about he would be good in a certain type of role based on the way he looked yeah, like he's mature looking and he's the youngest and he just not look it.

Speaker 2

No, exactly, he's very like. He can look cute and sweet one minute and then he's a sort of dangerous the next and you're like what?

Speaker 1

looks like a man. He stands like a man. There's no cutesy about this. This boy I have to call boy because he is you. You look at him, you're like hey and then when you see his age.

Speaker 2

You're like, oh no, run away yeah, exactly well, he, because he can you know, when he's just caught in a moment off guard and laughing or whatever, he looks very sweet and you're like oh he's, he's approachable and adorable, and then other things, he's posing and he like arches an eyebrow and you're like, oh my God, yeah, like I just broke out in a sweat, yeah, yeah, yeah. So he's got that, that duality, that he can look sweet and very presentable. And then the next minute he's like dangerous and like, whoa, ok, exactly, like your thigh is going on fire.

Speaker 1

He's like dangerous and like whoo okay, exactly like your thighs going fire.

Speaker 2

That's why I'm like run away, run away, go, oh man yeah, no, he's definitely a very handsome young man and very yeah, he's danger.

Speaker 1

Yes, oh, my goodness anyways. So the boys are very busy also with their individual stuff. You know you have uh fuma. Uh have plenty of things going on, you know being with the yo nino, then appearing in the nino show and a lot of things with nino.

Speaker 2

He's doing an appearance with uh nakamaru's youtube, so oh my god, which I saw that I'm like oh my god, I know I was like, oh, that's so cute. I saw that picture.

Speaker 1

I wanted to put a big purple heart in the back. Well, you know for so long.

Speaker 2

Nakamaru was always like you're a pest, leave me alone, go. And now he's like I love you. Right, he gets married and he's like fuma, I love you right, what's with this?

Speaker 1

like, what changed? What happened? You know like miss, they missed the whole bonding. Remember the first episodes? Nakamaru will just like grab him by the neck and throw him down on the floor. Yeah, he did a, you know, some move and I will be like I loved it.

Speaker 2

I always loved it and I'm like Nakamaru get that point, because you know Fuma was just pushing his buttons on purpose and he's laughing at him yeah, it was the best funny interaction. But you're like, wow, nakamaru is like get away from me.

Speaker 1

And now he's like right, come be on my little youtube. What about that sending little messages? Yeah, there was one time, you know, nakamaru was like let's go out for a meal. I'm like what I want. Can I look? I just be in the background creeping.

Speaker 2

What can you?

Speaker 1

guys eat. Oh my god, it's too funny. I know there's like this whole like sweetness.

Speaker 2

Yes, I that was. I was just thinking the sweetest interactions have had happened between them lately. Yeah, it's like crazy.

Speaker 1

Yeah, exactly what happened in the marriage, Like I really did not want to do this marriage. I just wanted to be with you. Don't be jealous. I still love you. Oh my God, I'm your senpai, I love you, oh my God. And of course, the interaction with weta weta. So cray, cray, oh my god, so scary.

Speaker 1

but then you see him with his puppy and you saw he bought a hairdryer, a new hairdryer for his puppy, his baby it's. I know, I know his baby, I'm sorry. What a new hair dryer for his puppy, his baby it's his baby, I know his baby, I'm sorry With his baby and I'm, like you can, just I never see this man with that type of dog.

Speaker 2

I know Well, it's always the big tough guys with their cute little teacup dogs. Yeah, look at v. Yeah, he's a little teeny pomeranian, right? What's the cutest thing? This?

Speaker 1

fluffers. It's the wet out with this fluffers. You know it's too funny it is, it's, it's unbelievable. Yeah, oh, my god, anyway. So I'm supporting my boys and anyway yeah, it'll be interesting.

Speaker 2

I want I'm I wonder how long they're gonna take you know sort of take to decide and put stuff together, because you know everybody's like we need new stuff from them, please almost speaking of.

Speaker 1

They are going to appear as timeless in StarToe. In the StarToe event, the we Are StarToe. Oh, really, yeah, they made that announcement that they are going to be there. Oh, wow, cool. So that is cool. I think it was Fuma who made that. Did he make that announcement? He did during the same announcement.

Speaker 2

Oh, okay.

Speaker 1

So that's cool, yeah, looking forward to that. Let's see, let's see, let's see. Also, of course, we mentioned about I'll blow your cover. Yep, and we're saying thank you, taki, for listening. I know you're listening. Don't be. Yeah, don't let down low, please. How?

Speaker 2

what a coin, kidding I know right, I was like what it just no it's like.

Speaker 1

Can we be that in tune with that company?

Speaker 2

in tune with, yeah, the music and and what's going on, yeah, who knows?

Speaker 1

well, we're all about the woo-woo anyways, exactly we're all about the woo-woo and now and how we also help other companies get their playlists after I do my playlist.

Positive Vibes and Laughter

Speaker 1

Hmm, I put out that gentle jab for you yeah you know that's when you can't say something I do some people, you know, it's like, really, I do all the work, plan the layout, and then there's people they're just looking and listening because you're not, my playlist is public. Yeah, I know. All they need to do is like oh yeah, oh, these are new. Yes, I know they're okay cool. Yep, come on the audacity of some people that's all right that's all right, karma's gonna be making up your own little song.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah, the karma song. Oh yeah, I'm gonna do that make him.

Speaker 1

I'll make it a rap. I'll make it a rap, hip-hop I'll. I'll channel chanmina style. I love chanmina. Oh, she is so awesome. My god, have you seen her blue hair? No, oh, I love that blue.

Speaker 2

Didn't she just put something out? He, she did like the past week or two.

Speaker 1

Yes, yes, I want to check that out.

Speaker 2

We love chanmina so I know farah choking over here. We gotta go we're laughing so much well, now that everybody knows what it would be like being out with us. It's just you're gonna laugh continuously and then you're gonna be like I can't breathe, I can't talk, I'm choking, oh my god.

Speaker 1

That's why I always let people you know listen to us on your boring commute.

Speaker 2

You know listen to us in the car laundrom, the laundromat, yeah yeah, folding laundry.

Speaker 1

Doing chores. You know put us in the background, you know laugh with us. And the thing is that if you hear something you're like what did I say? You can rewind.

Speaker 2

You know, you can always play it back.

Speaker 1

Absolutely, and you know, just thank you for your support, support, oh um, one on earth was not feeling very well. I just want to say to this person, or I just want to say in general we're still having the stupid covid, and now we have this norovirus which is which is going crazy right now at my job, my god, really yeah, a few people have been out of the office because of that. So please still mask on. If you can Wash your hands, which is still very important Wipe your station down.

Speaker 2

Yeah, clean surfaces, carry hand sanitizer with you or hand wipes. You know something. I always have those on me because I'm like I don't know what I'm touching.

Speaker 1

I need to clean my hands. I just want Sarah and I were very meticulous when it comes to that. I mean that I was myself, you know, I learned I went to a show back in may of last year and that's how I got it, and I didn't mask. I mask at the beginning and then it got too hot at the event so I couldn't breathe very well, so that's why I took it off and guess what happened. So that was like just, I mean, I'm always so cautious, and then you know, well, even being cautious though, because I masked for my flight.

Speaker 2

I was out. I was out in Wyoming National Park, open air. I came back home with COVID I, but I had a mask on the airplane. We went to an old, historic like classic restaurant, had to take off the mask to eat within 24, 48 hours. I started not feeling well my whole flight back home I was like I do not want this to be what I think it is, but it was Dang. I mean Yellowstone National Park, come on, who gets COVID want this to be what I think it is? But it was dang. I mean yellowstone national park, come on, who gets covid so in the wild, yeah what?

Speaker 2

did that guy have from an elk? Come on, so it's even with masking and everything and cleaning your hand.

Speaker 1

You know, it just happens exactly there's somebody out there with it that they don't know they have it. You're interacting with people and then you get it. It's crazy, and when I work we deal with a lot of nursing homes and that happens a lot. So you know I'm also very careful there as well. But everybody knows the protocol to check themselves before coming back into the office.

Speaker 1

Yeah, oh my God. But no, that was just from a concert which I'm always. We're always wearing a mask, I know right. And I was like, oh man, I'm like this just should not take enough. But I mean, at least move somewhere where I could breathe. People get on top of you you know how it gets.

Speaker 2

You know how concerts are.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, especially over here. Oh, but you know what? What I have seen in japan, there's like barriers when it comes to like go out. Uh, like general admission, like how does that work?

Speaker 1

yeah, I don't know, they have like little. How do you call the horses? Just, you know, like saw horses, oh okay, yep, yep, like each row. So I don't know how does that work? I need to check more on that. You know what? I'm gonna contact one of my friends that goes to a lot of those shows, uh, in japan. She lives there and I'm like how does that work?

Speaker 2

do you pay by tier as well? Yeah, exactly because it's not really general admission. If you're, it's sectioned off.

Speaker 1

Yeah, so that's weird. So it's kind of cool. It's like people are on a row and it's so funny because I've seen those shows and I'm like, wow, everybody in japan like are in a row like when it comes, yeah, and I'm like, wow, I want to go to a show like that because everybody's like on their spot interesting so now I gotta check that out anyways but if you're listening, if you are listening from japan and you know what we're talking about, please make a comment on our show notes, also on our ex twitter at music elixir underscore.

Speaker 2

I am. I'm like thinking about how it just it it feels good.

Speaker 1

I'm not crying, don't be taking my thing.

Speaker 2

No, it's just. You know it really is like a community and it's friends. You know just, everything feels really personal with the people we interact with and I really like that, yeah, and appreciate it oh yeah, we want you all to know that I can't look at you, because if you're crying, I'm gonna start crying.

Speaker 2

That's why I wanted to say I was like that's our thing, we love the positive vibes, so we might sometimes get a little bit frustrated at situations, but you know we're human as well.

Speaker 1

You, you know, and there are some things that, of course, like you, we don't gel with, and it's just but we try to.

Speaker 2

Other than that, we try to keep it in check and handle it with humor, you know. Yes, yes, Because, at the end of the day, just you got to laugh it off and enjoy your life.

We read our horoscope before this. That's what we did. Yeah, we're following this astrologer. I'm going to shout her out because she's amazing Chani Nicholas. We've been listening to her podcast, we've been reading her horoscope and it's just being on the dot way too many times that we're like, omg, what's going on?

Speaker 2

I know it's like she knows us.

Speaker 1

I don't know it's it's great, great, but she's amazing. I find her amazing. And plus, there's other people that we follow that they have been on the dot. Yes, so we're like. So this is one platform that we're going to check. Let's see this other person, what they say, and I'm like uh-uh, is it the same thing? No, same thing, different wordage. No, no, we do take, that's our thing. You know, if you're like us or like the woo-woo, this is also your, your podcast.

Speaker 1

We've been doing that a lot. We're all about the woo. Yeah, taki hi and the delulu.

Speaker 2

We're about the silly. Yeah, I'm getting silly oh no, let's start.

Speaker 1

How do you call it? Evoking?

Speaker 2

No, yeah. Invoking. Invoking Calling on yes Manifesting.

Speaker 1

Yes, om Satoshi, om no Satoshi he's going to be like oh my God. It's our mantra, there you go Every morning. You's our mantra, there you go Every morning. You should do that. Light a candle, put some incense, put his picture on fire.

Speaker 2

Oh, no, satoshi, I already got his picture. I've got the Uchiwas everywhere.

Speaker 1

There you go, you get to do the whole thing, the whole shrine.

Speaker 2

Oh my God, before they had to repaint my room, yeah, I had a whole wall that was just uchiwas. Well, not, just don't know. I had the other guys up there, but most of them were, and you wonder why you're still single. Actually, I wasn't single at the time. Oh, that's probably why my relationship ended.

Speaker 1

Couldn't stop talking about oh no, so the next person that comes along you'll be like before we go any further, I need to show you this and this there's another man in my life. If this will uh break or make our relationship, this is my love. That will either be like omg or be like well, I have a secret too. Oh my god. All right, we're not ending this, right, are we? Until next time.
