Speaker 1

Hello everybody, welcome to another episode of Music Elixir with me, sarah and Miss Panic. I think I said that really fast, miss Panic, because I fed you popcorn with sugar, sugar, sugar. So, as in me and sugar, we're eating popcorn together. Wouldn't that be nice? Right and sugar were eating popcorn together.

Speaker 2

Wouldn't that be nice, right? Don't let the aunties get.

Speaker 1

Oh my goodness you know, hey, they want to give up on him. Go ahead, bye-bye. Yeah, don't need you exactly more for us.

Speaker 2

Don't let the door hit your wheels, oh man.

Speaker 1

Anyways, we're not here to talk about that. We took a break, although we did just get a sugar rush, so yes, it's uh.

Speaker 2

So family bought this popcorn. I'm not gonna name the name of the company because we're not being endorsed, but it's really good oh boy, was it whoa?

Speaker 1

it was so subtle to start, but the more you ate, the more the flavor right that they were introducing to you came through. So the pop is air popcorn.

Speaker 2

I think it's air popped. Yeah, anyways, it's popcorn with maple, sugar and cinnamon yep and a little bit of sea salt yes, so you've got the the sweet and salty.

Speaker 1

Oh, that's so dangerous.

Speaker 2

It is right because, because you keep eating the first, like the, the, the first bunch that I you know, or you know that I ate. I'm like that's subtle, that's good, it's fine. Then you keep eating it and it's like, for some reason starts building up and you're like, oh man, I can't stop now. Yeah, no, you, you want more it's yeah, and.

Speaker 1

And I was like up and you're like, oh man, I can't stop now, yeah, no, you, you want more. It's yeah, and. And I was like I don't know which part I'm enjoying more, the sweet or the salty, right?

Speaker 2

so I'm gonna have more to determine what so vicious cycle I was getting different, like bites, every time right sometimes I had nothing, sometimes it was just a burst, and sometimes it was nothing, and sometimes it was just perfect.

Speaker 1

I'm like, oh, this is weird yeah, I had one bite that was definitely that salt burn, you know when there's too much salt. I was like whoa. But then I got more of the the maple sugar afterwards and I was like, oh phew, the sweet tempered it and that's how they get you. Yeah, because you get that sweet and you're like, oh, I need some salty. So you keep eating hoping you'll find that salty piece. Yes, and then you go back and forth I need the sweet, I need the salt.

Speaker 2

Yeah, that popcorn is dangerous. Yes, it's dangerous.

Speaker 1

And I had the whole bag.

Speaker 2

That's bad.

Speaker 1

I had a pretty big bowl full. I mean it wasn't a massive, like you know, cooking bowl, but it was big.

Speaker 2

But then I was holding the bag and I'm like what? And I'm like, oh my god, family's gonna be like what happened?

Speaker 1

mice got it. We were not in the kitchen at all.

Speaker 2

No, oh my god, yeah, it was really good. Oh my god. So yeah, I have my feel I cannot touch it. Should think of something else, but now you know what it is. I believe is at the store I told you about.

Speaker 1

Okay, they were there, so we'll see Check it out.

Speaker 2

Yes, check it out Anyways. We're not here to talk about popcorn, but hey, as good as it was. If you can eat popcorn and you have a brand that you like or name the flavor that you like, hey, let us know. Oh yeah, yeah, you know, let us know what kind of popcorn you like. You like the buttery kind, the one with cheese, or like the one we just said, salty and sweet?

Speaker 1

Did we both say cheesy at the same time? Yes, we did. I've got my headphones on, so I wasn't quite sure if I was hearing anything.

Speaker 2

Oh, we have our headphones on because we're going to be discussing some songs. Now, this the first episode of this project or experiment that we're doing on listening to music. We discussed some songs.

Speaker 1

Raw. They just came out last night on the you know new release. So we just picked some. Two of them were artists we were very familiar with Right, and then two were artists we are aware of but not necessarily very up to date on. But all music we've not heard Exactly Just got released like literally. So you got our absolute, like real reaction.

Speaker 2

Real reactions.

Speaker 1

Real reaction of these songs that was a roller coaster ride so this one it's going to be a little different because these are songs.

Speaker 2

We started this playlist and stuff before we started the playlist like three weeks ago okay so this is what happened so I started this playlist like three weeks ago, but then I started in putting new songs like each week, and sarah was like what you did? You put a new song in there, I'm like yeah, and I'm laughing. And then another week went by and I put another song and she's like you're putting more songs in there.

Speaker 1

And.

Speaker 2

I'm like laughing emojis, because this is all about text.

Speaker 1

We're texting each other, because, yeah, usually we're at work.

Speaker 2

Exactly. And then, a day ago, I put another one in there. She's like what are you doing to me, what are we going to me, what are we gonna be doing?

Speaker 1

well, because the the playlist started out originally before we determined we were going to do this project, so it was something we we were planning to do the old-fashioned way.

Speaker 2

Right, we were going to listen and take our notes fashion way, the the way that we have bygone days the accustomed way that we, you that we do, oh my god, the old fashion way. What you talking about, lady? Just that popcorn that I fed you, she's no more that combination, no, are you drunk, I'm getting giddy, oh my god it's the sugar rush.

Speaker 1

So we gotta get this over with, because I'm gonna be like no, you ain't gonna be crashing on me no, no, but yeah, so we were gonna do it the way we usually handle it.

Speaker 1

Yeah, listen to it for a week or so, you know, take our notes, talk about it, but then because ms panic kept adding new music to it and I was like I don't have time to prepare, this one's turning into like a hybrid. Yes, a, we've listened to these a lot, and then a couple that we just sort of threw in there right last minute and we're still going to talk about them. Yes, because you know, you know hearing it once, although, like we proved with that other episode, we were able to engage pretty well with that music.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, Just showing that if music touches you, you immediately know it.

Speaker 2

Yeah, you know, you know right away Music is the universal language. Music is a universal language. We have been saying that many times.

Speaker 1

Yes, we have Many, many, many times.

Speaker 2

So there's three groups in here that, of course, were asked for us to review or talk about, and then two monkey wrenches that I put in there, that I'm like Ooh, I kind of like this song Random stuff. And then one that just came out, new, which it was the last one, and then you know, but I did, I did manage to listen to it a couple of times. I mean this that last one is easy to listen to and it's a group that we are very familiar with.

Speaker 1

So I almost expected to wake up this morning to find woo songs new song in there too, just just to let you know. I was like is she gonna no?

Speaker 2

I know he was dropping a new one yesterday and I played it, girl, you have you listened to that because?

Speaker 1

I did.

Speaker 2

Yes, I have oh my god girl okay that voice that voice, but let me tell you, I played it on OK Asia, you know, and that was my first time listening to it. Oh, my God, the tears. I'm like oh, that was just.

Speaker 1

Well, I know Right, because it's all in English. So everything he said, you know we understood exactly what he's saying. So it's a very and you know his exactly what he's saying.

Speaker 2

So it's a very god and you know his voice is heart-wrenching song his voice is just so good. It's just everything. It just gets inside you.

Speaker 1

It's like that feel and oh jeez, yeah, no, he definitely warms you from the inside out he's, he's one of those vocalists that you hear him, you're like, okay, that's busan like right away. You know busan, you just know you can't miss his voice, that's for sure. It's like oh my god, uh, okay, we're not gonna be talking about that, but we're already talking about it. So there you go that's a pretty.

Speaker 2

There's a little bit of our take on busan. Uh, never died, right? No, the day that I died the day that I died. Oh my god. There's a little bit of our take on the song Never Die right. No, the Day that I Die, the Day that I Die, oh my God, exactly, I love him. Oh geez. Besides looks, voices Anyways. Okay, so how do you want to do this? So we have lined up. Let's set up him Number I Be first Orbit and one click straight.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I don't know how you want to handle it. Who should go first? Which, because we were listening to to orbit be first and number I right those were the ones we were originally going to cover right, and then you threw in one click straight and la seraphim, like recently right, because la seraphim came out on friday, uh, august 30th. Yes, yeah, on june's birthday, throw that out there too. So, um, okay, are we gonna listen to him also while we're talking about the things that we okay.

Speaker 2

Yeah, let's do that, all right.

Speaker 1

So, oh man, I don't have a die I wish I had a die so I can just like Well, it could do, like the random number generator thing. Okay, do you?

Speaker 2

have one.

Speaker 1

Google has one.

Speaker 2

So there are five songs, so let's random it.

Speaker 1

All right, I got to pick. You said there's five right.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

So first one will be number four.

Speaker 2

Okay, that will be One Click Straight. All right, all right, so let's start. So we're going to be listening to One Click Straight's song Siga and actually One Click Straight is a band from the Philippines.

Speaker 1

Philippines yeah, it's three brothers and a friend. Yeah, it's three brothers and a friend. So this one I have partially listened to on repeat. You know this is giving me like 90s smashing pumpkins yes, yes, I was gonna say it's. It's like the 90s. Um, psychedelic retro revival, right, and there's a couple of Japanese bands from the 90s that it reminds me of Triceratops, yeah, and Charcoal Filter, yeah. So anyone who's old enough to remember those bands, think about them. When you're listening to this. It's like well, and Smashing Pumpkins also.

Speaker 2

It's very much that it was giving me a lot of the 90s grunge american vibes. Yeah alt indie rock yeah especially that intro is very smashing pumpkin, yes yes, and some of their vocalizations this, yeah, that yeah, this was more. I was thinking of another like a punk band on that part, but this this right here is very smashing pumpkins like yeah, a minute and 18 the low. I was also thinking like violin femmes yes, during the, the really intense like when they pick up the beat and the guitars, yeah, really strong.

Speaker 2

So yeah, it's got sort of this guitar right here and that made me of the cure hold on, it's really faint.

Speaker 1

Let me see if I can um oh, yeah, yeah, the back, yes, the cure, much like heaven. Yes, yeah, wow, just like, just like heaven, sorry, this is when you start mushing.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I love the bass.

Speaker 1

You know it reminds who else, though sort of like um someone that guitar is so curious, like in the background the accent but also sort of like um, you know, the whole like jet and franz ferdinand right kind of sounds too. So it's like it's really a blending of a lot of those 90s. Yeah, they're. They're similar to each other in almost the same genre, but not, you know, I'm hearing a lot of the uh yeah, grunge from the 90s, american as well as like england.

Speaker 2

Yeah, like there's some british pop in there too, like you know. Like I said, the cure over here a little bit of that, but like you know, yeah, it was at that guitar point that you were talking about.

Speaker 1

I was. It has some accents in the background, but it's just. It's so crazy because if you think about the bands we've named, like nobody would ever say, oh, the cure, yeah, and the smashing pumpkins and jet are all the same. Because they're not. No, but it's because it goes across all of the it goes punk, alt rock, indie psychedelic.

Speaker 2

It's like they took essence on some of those songs and just incorporated on this one.

Speaker 1

Yeah, just really good, melded it all into one it's so and love their vocals and the way that the the na na na na na na yeah goes along with the like really distorted guitar like that. I wonder if um and the drumming is amazing oh yeah, the drummer right here sounds like pixies.

Speaker 2

Yes, oh my god I was gonna.

Speaker 1

I meant to say that too. I was like you know I. There's somebody we really love that they sound like too even, it's just that one part you know what I mean like it's sections yeah, at 2 30 it sounds so different.

Speaker 2

And then back to smashing pumpkins.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, actually the nyan nyan, nyan nyan, yes yeah that's like the pixies yeah they got a lot of stuff.

Speaker 2

They do sort of that right here distorted guitar sound with the voices when I heard this song for the first time, like sarah's gonna like this song come on. She's gonna vibe with me on this one because this is like so our alley and they're young, you can tell maybe their parents might be listening to this music and they're just like we're going to take that. We really like those songs too, so we're going to go for it. That's cool.

Speaker 1

But it's like they take those influences, though, and make it their own. Yeah, because I couldn't pinpoint just one band that they made me think of. Yeah, you know, there were elements of all of them, right? So when you brought up pixies, I was like yes, I do remember like for a moment thinking that, but then it switched over to something that I was like, oh no, that's not you know so love it. That was so cool, right, that's awesome I love that song, great tune it is.

Speaker 2

I was like god. I was like, oh my, it came out new last week and I'm like, huh, I'm following this group, why is that? And uh, and I'm like, oh, they're from the philippines. How come I haven't heard anything, uh, from them? It's because they haven't dropped anything since last year.

Speaker 1

So it's been a while since their last song.

Speaker 2

So when this came out, I'm like, wow, that is awesome. Um, so their last album was back in 2023. Wow, january 13 of 2023.

Speaker 1

That's why I haven't heard anything over a year and a half. Wow yeah.

Speaker 2

So that's why I was like well, they're just, you know, for me, I was like who's this band? I'm like oh, no wonder, because you know we're so used to like our pop bands are like every six months or three months.

Speaker 1

There's something depending on the single is it a mini album or a full album?

Speaker 2

ep mini ep yeah well, now they're doing like every three months they throw a single for somebody's drama and then it comes out on the album, which is six, you know, three months after that exactly so you know we're so, I guess, used to that. Yeah then, when you have a band, when they actually wait a year for music exactly, exactly so.

Speaker 2

Wow, so one click street from the philippines amazing song siga siga, definitely. Uh, if you don't know about the group, go for it. Please give them a chance. That was, that's an awesome song. Oh, my god love love, love. Definitely very cool song you should do a deep dive one day on the group and, you know, get to know more about it. They've been around, I think, since 2018. So they've been around for quite some time. All right, should we try the generator again? Yes, all right.

Speaker 1

All right, came up with number one.

Speaker 2

Oh, number one's gonna be Orbit.

Speaker 1

Orbit, I'm sorry I spoke over you.

Speaker 2

My children orbit, orbit, orbit with finally a song, finally drop a song. I mean, I wanted the album, but well, the album's coming album?

Speaker 1

yeah, any albums coming. No, please, they've been dropping hints and teasers and I'm I'm done with that. I just Well, the album's coming. Yeah, I mean the album's coming. Please.

Speaker 2

They've been dropping hints and teasers and I'm done with that. I just want, want, I just want. I know they're being very busy promoting themselves and whatnot, because that's what I have been seeing in their YouTube channel. They're going to places you know they had endorsements and sponsors and they're doing all kinds of activities.

Speaker 1

I'm like, wow, my boys are really busy well, and everybody's doing like little solo, singing things here and there, and you go now has a solo thing for, for acting.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you know so it's uh, yeah, they've been busy, busy bees, I know and now they're dropping all kinds of teaser things and what's funny is um, the, the two that came out, it was uh, tomo yep is gluttony. Okay, did you see? I don't know if we should, did we share it? Well, someone had um, we were talking about, we were trying to figure out the concept. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and I don't know if we talked about it on the episode.

Decoding the Seven Deadly Sins

Speaker 2

I don't think no, we mentioned that it it could.

Speaker 1

One of the fans said that it was the seven sins right and we were trying to figure it out, because we were like what, I don't get it, like who's who, yeah and um, and then I was like oh wait, you know, do they mean that not the religious per se deadly sins, but the anime, which is still based on the religious deadly sins. But, I had printed out a thing and looked up.

Speaker 1

you know who that like what the characters were, and I was trying to because, with the anime, they're not your traditional idea of what each of these deadly sins are. So I was like well, let's see the concepts of who's who, so and you can see, I even I wrote the names of who. I think everything is. I already got the first two right. Tomo was gluttony, okay, and and uh, young hoon is um pride, okay so so far based on my little notes, so I I have a theory about the other ones they haven't dropped me, sarah, doing some investigation here.

Speaker 1

Yeah, well, I was like I was like well, you know, based on these, yeah, it's a little bit easier.

Speaker 2

Yeah, based on that manga anime. Yeah, actually manga. So the anime um but um, and also the photo shoots, because they also give those hints. Yeah, well, that's what I was holding knives and there were silverware around him.

Speaker 1

You know right but it was also sort of weird because it's like an alchemist look, because he had melted metal and beakers and lab stuff and that character actually is sort of into the whole like magic and stuff like that.

Speaker 2

So so it's yeah, I was like okay, so this makes sense yeah because, yeah, but I've got my little, my little notes.

Speaker 1

Next to each of them is who I think it is, and so far I've got two of them right so I was like I'm right on the two hey, I feel good about two out of two so far. Hey right, I don't know. There's seven members, so yeah, it goes very well you know.

Speaker 2

So we are going to listen again and again and again, uh, to orbits on your lip. So I'm sure fans will be like, oh, we're gonna listen with miss panic and, of course, sarah. All right, here we go. Girl, this is. I'm something out there, because right when I heard that that, I'm like, yes, yes, I hope this is what it is. And then the high, sweet voice. I'm like, oh, my god, goosebumps it's such a dreamy opening right oh, lover goosebumps and I'm like yes, yes and of course, hello, give me that title, don't be giving me something different.

Speaker 2

This is actually delivering what I really wanted and I am so happy.

Speaker 1

Okay, well, like I said, it's very dreamy. The light, tone and the voices are all so breathy.

Speaker 2

And then there's some voices that you're like, yes, okay, so continue this has just got a good beat to it.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, and the harmonizing, hello yeah we had the and the backgrounds that was shunya. They're really good with that too. Yeah, it was low, but I can tell it was shunya.

Speaker 2

Whoo goosebumps actually harmonizing.

Speaker 1

Yes, it's funny, you said goosebumps. I had like a blackout moment with this song you did yesterday. I was driving and all of a sudden I was, the song ended and I was like all right, how'd I get here? Yeah, I just sort of. As everyone knows, our blackout songs are the ones that just I need lyrics for this wrap us up.

Speaker 2

So here's the light rap. Oh yeah, I like that it starts at 11. I won 11. I like that numeral 111. Oh yeah, oh yeah, boys, yeah, boys, so nice yes.

Speaker 1

Lights camera action.

Speaker 2

Ooh, lights camera action yeah.

Speaker 1

On your live. This is so good. Sorry, everybody heard me sing along to that. I was probably way out of key. I knew it was coming, though I was like oh, out of key. I knew it was coming, though I was like, oh, what I love about these guys is they're so good. Yes, at pairing up the voices.

Speaker 2

Yes, right here. Oh yeah, this is so sweet at 2, 13. Oh, and the harmonize in the back, here we go, yeah break it down, boys, here we go.

Speaker 1

You can always tell you go always this high voice?

Speaker 2

who is this?

Speaker 1

brought it in goosebumps again, jeez well, that's the thing is, because, like it's danceable, yeah, but it's also sultry oh my god this song gets all my senses.

Speaker 2

I'm like young yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1

And what's so funny, my god because, we, because we did Moneybag a while back, loved that song right. This is the polar opposite of Moneybag. Yeah, and it's awesome.

Speaker 2

Yeah, Moneybag is the attitude, the artistry. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1

Who we are who I am, and the music's very like uh-uh-uh in your face.

Speaker 2

This is just romance.

Speaker 1

Well, like I said, I actually was like blacked out for a minute.

Speaker 2

I'm like these are my children. Stop it, no.

Speaker 1

Well, because they harmonize so well on this and, like I said, when they pair two people together, the combinations they pick are just amazing. Yes, they're different enough that you can tell it's two people singing, but they complement each other beautiful. You know, sometimes you're like there's such an extreme in sound, right, but these are so subtle and so blended and just great, great song it was sort of.

Speaker 1

This one was sort of more like an 80s vibe, like michael jackson off the wall kind of yeah I can hear the vibe, yeah, like a little bit, just when we were leaving disco and going into, you know, the new romantic and new wave and it was giving me that well, there's that newer sound of the 2000s.

Speaker 2

It was giving me me that which I was hoping to hear, that and it did. Then it had the clubby sound, yeah, like in the 90s though, but I just love this song. I don't know. I just love this song. I just love this song.

Speaker 1

No, it's sort of like the One Click Straight. It has a lot of different sounds, so you know, from different genres and different. This one was a little more in line with the overall sound but through the generations, through the decades, like just little hints of almost this but more modern, and almost that but a little edgier you know, taking the essence of, like some genres and put it in there yeah and with some genres and different eras, and put it in there to make it more, more modern, especially with the big.

Speaker 2

That beginning sound is very modern. It's more yeah, yeah, like the now sound, oh, and everybody's vocals, yeah yeah, no, it's just amazing and I love the whole like.

Speaker 1

Like, so by on your lip. Do you think what they're they're saying is? Like, I know you want to talk about me, like, talk about us, so it's right on your lip, like, or have my name right on your. You know what I mean. Like, what is, what is it? But the whole lights camera action thing? Yeah, makeup, yeah, I don't know, it's makeup it's makeup they wear that lipstick.

Speaker 2

They were yeah, they're using it for promotion for the lipstick that's not what I think, you know.

Speaker 1

I was thinking but lip what their lips? No, I know, but I was thinking, but lip not lips no I know, but still lip.

Speaker 2

Why, why? Why? Why one lip?

Speaker 1

I don't know. That's why I'm a little like so what we'd have to look at the lyrics. I need lyrics. There's no lyrics for this.

Speaker 2

We got to check lyrics. Somebody, please help us with lyrics. Well, lyrics, well, we'll find the lyrics. Nobody. Yeah, we'll try to find lyrics. I was just yeah, whatever. So uh written by june, yeah, and luzie, so yay, june rmg. Then you know that some of the boys of uh orbit do like to write some of the songs, like you did one for one of the albums, and you know each member, like we, like this, that they take control of the songs and, you know, make it part of the group. You know and you know that's we love that.

Speaker 1

Yes, when people are actively participating. Involving yes, all right, which I already did. The generator All right, and this is going to be a group that is very heavily involved in what they're doing. Now I bet you can guess already which one this is going to be number three.

Speaker 2

Yes, From number I. Number I, number three on the list, but number I and this was created by June, no, not June. What am I talking about?

Speaker 1

You're stuck on the last band. I'm still stuck on Orbit. Oh my God, no, no, no, this is number I and they all had a hand in writing. Oh the old? Then? Yes, because the writing credits just say number I.

Speaker 2

Oh, for real.

Speaker 1

Hold on, let me see. Well, I mean, there's other people, there's like some manjo.

Speaker 2

Manjo's been on all the things. Manjo's been working with xg, which you know my girls are like, and it's because he also part, you know, was in the did a lot of uh, uh work with them. Yep, uh, but yeah. Performed by number. Written by Number I and Pecori and Shun.

Speaker 1

Shun has done a lot with them, I believe. But it's sort of like. I mean, all of these producers do work with multiple artists, so we see their names pop up here and there, right?

Speaker 2

Where you found the information, who produced it? Because Spotify doesn't say who produced it.

Speaker 1

spotify doesn't say oh, I thought they were under. They helped write it. Yeah, I believe. I believe that, though two of them are producers okay, like they, they're musicians and artists as well as producers. Okay, two of them, I believe, not all of them, all right, we don't know so you need to get.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I'm going by the spotify yeah, and it's not giving a producer by uh, but I have written by. But hey, we can look that up later. So, yeah, it's uh stylized I n z m, but it is said inazuma yes yes, and sarah's looking at her notes well, because I had written something down.

Speaker 1

And yeah, one of them he's from a hip hop group, shun is a DJ and MC, so usually they do producing also. Just because you're a DJ, you're sort of remixing everything and reworking. So that might be why I thought yeah. You know, and it's who PCORI is, from a hip hop group.

Speaker 2

So oh yeah, this is all hip hop. Oh yeah, this is so fat it's insane, all right, well, let's listen. All right. I'm going to listen to it right now.

Speaker 1

It's so fat it is. It is it? Listen to it right now.

Speaker 2

It's so fat it is, it is just like okay, we'll start right now. Oh, this is fat, fat hello, this is like yeah that distortion is cray, cray.

Speaker 1

Right, I was gonna say that and it's like heavy metal, geez, like that opening is very heavy heavy metal, distorted bass, that boom and yeah, and then it turns. This is bringing me to miami base like hello this is another, but this is another very like 90s sound. Yes, because this is one we'd been listening to and there was a point in this where I was like, oh my god, the prodigy.

Speaker 2

Like they just, yeah, totally channeled the prodigy the guitar and this is crazy, like greedy and just crazy well, and then you've got this that yeah, like the urgency so it's kishi the method rap. I love. Yes, boy, yes, of course you can hear that show.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, yeah, you're like yeah, this is another one that it's sort of blending a few different sounds look at the styles, they'll break out 126. Yes this is where I was like public enemy this is that very late 80s rap.

Speaker 2

Yes, yeah, I was.

Speaker 1

I was like oh yeah, this is in in kishi's, like bringing out his flavor, flavor, of course. But then it this transitions over to the the prodigy sound, that whole, which was also just a blending right here with kishi is giving me a little bit of industrial. Oh yeah, no, this, this really goes part, yeah, like all over the place this part right here, with kishi saying suma, suma.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I was going kishi, kishi, kishi, kishi kishi because it was so prominent for him. Love, I was just like I'm changing it, kishi?

Speaker 1

well, have you noticed like he's getting more and more like that intense, like I mean, he's amping it up, he is loving that.

Speaker 2

I'm calling it demented rap and he is loving that title that I have given him because he is loving it and doing it and projecting it. And I'm saying thank you, boo, you are doing amazing. Love, love, love, thank you. I know people are like okay, did you whatever? Whatever, miss panic please. No, I'm thinking to you. I'm like come on, voice free to do whatever he wants. Okay, let's keep listening, because I can go off. Yes, well, I mean, how about this low break here? Kind of reminds me of nine inch nails. Right, I was gonna say it's at 230. This is like nine inch nails yes, that's that show I know I know who it is.

Speaker 1

Oh my god, but listen to that the way it like boom, yes, Kishi yes, yes, all of them. That's kaiju, I mean they're, but listen to that in the background. Yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 2

That's very prodigy Right, heavily prodigy.

Speaker 1

Big time. So I mean this is like, like I said, heavy metal, acid, house, industrial. Yeah, I mean like there's just so much, so much going on in that, the transition of all of the different music genres into one thing. That opening I was like whoa, this is so heavy metal. And then all of a sudden it was like I'm like what? What just?

Speaker 1

happened here exactly, and so it's insanely good. Insanely good song, yeah, and I was gonna say all of the video stuff that they did. You know they were doing little shorts and stuff. One thing I noticed was that somebody was listening to us, because the costumes, did you notice, were not. We had talked about like Jin getting lost in the super baggy outfits. So these were they were baggy but they were a little more fitted on show in Kishi, yeah, and not as baggy. On Jin, it was a little more fitted, yeah, so he didn't look lost in it. So they looked more uniform when they were all dancing together and it was just beautiful it looked more street wear, which not costumey right be more.

Speaker 2

You know this was like so somebody heard us talking about that and was like oh, you know what they're right you know, but of course the video kind of make them look like regular guys you know which is you gotta wear the street wear not the flashy, whatever like. Then all the videos, of course, because it's the other videos, right?

Girly Girls and Blissful Vibes

Speaker 2

um but yeah, no, it was awesome, because I like that, of course. Very high energy, high interactive. Oh yeah, it's awesome. I mean, they did an amazing job on this one, really eye-catching. Please sound wise. Whoa, another roller coaster here. Wow, it's like, but it's intense, it's. It's like a really intense roller coaster. Yes, wow, love, love awesome so who? Yes, wow, love, love, awesome. So who next? I believe number five. Oh, so we're going with Lesser FM. Okay, and the song Crazy, which the last song was crazy too Well, sound wise.

Speaker 1

The way they're all transitioning to each other is kind of funny, oh my God, oh, that's awesome.

Speaker 2

Oh, I kind of like whoa. Okay, thank you, universe, I know. Oh my god, oh that's awesome. Oh, I kind of like whoa. Okay, thank you, universe. I know you did this. Thank you for doing this. Yeah, definitely, all right. So we're gonna be listening to let set of fm's crazy. Oh, yeah, I know what the fat face? Oh yeah, and then the oh yeah, we have attitude here oh yeah sexy attitude.

Speaker 1

All the girly girls oh yeah, act like an angel and dress like crazy I love. The dance beat to this.

Speaker 2

I don't know who is singing the first riff, but she is sounding like kesha oh, when I heard her voice. I'm like is this kesha? Oh yeah singing in korean because I'm like, wow, that's kind of like her attitude and tone, like kesha yeah right yeah, yeah, yeah at the beginning.

Speaker 1

Sorry, that's very like no, I the beginning part stuck in my head but yes, yeah, when she, whoever is singing the very opening line like the first stanza there it sounded like kesha I'm like wow well and the music, the dance part of the music too sounds so like attitude club.

Speaker 2

You gotta be wearing couture. It's like very high fashion hello, you know like what it's like crazy, exactly.

Speaker 1

Well, I liked the girly girl part in there. Somewhere they were saying girl. I don't know if they were saying girly girl the whole time, but there was one point where it was very clear that I was like, oh, all the girly girls. I'm like, okay, all right, all that womp womp is reminding me of something oh, he got the harmonies.

Speaker 2

Did they say galileo?

Speaker 1

yep, okay, oh yeah, so it's so funny because this is so. This is another sort of 90s sound yeah compared to the rest of the song, which is oh yeah, it has some.

Speaker 2

A lot of techno has a lot of techno vibes. There used to be this rave store in florida. They will play music like this. Like you will hear in that store. It's very raving techno.

Speaker 1

I like this deep bass like kiss my what almost like a a prowling move, like you can see getting down low with this.

Speaker 2

I'm just like I'm walking down the street, like it's my own catwalk exactly. Crazy, crazy, crazy crazy yeah, this is wow.

Speaker 1

This is so like delight cc music factory, that kind of dance, oh yeah this has attitude catwalk.

Speaker 2

That's all I can think. High fashion, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1

Why am I also thinking grace jones for some things, some, some reason well, because grace jones is very much like a catwalk artistic, yeah, like um performance artist really wasn't she a model? She was a model. Yes, yeah, and she's a certain type of crazy too, I love her.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah, love her. Oh, I love her too.

Speaker 1

Christians she is awesome, she was like yeah she was so ahead of her time.

Speaker 2

People always gave her crap. I'm like dude, she's amazing and people like people that our era didn't understand it.

Speaker 1

I was just like I love her well, because she she also. She had no boundaries. No, she was like she would take everything to the next level and people weren't ready for the next level. No, especially from a female artist, oh yeah, and a female artist of color, exactly that was the other one let's take it a step further, yeah exactly she was like, yeah, shocking, and she was amazing ahead of her time and people were not getting her.

Speaker 2

I'm like jeez, I'm happy they lived that era with her, you know, because she is amazing yes, she is oh, but yeah, but that song, yeah, that's awesome yes, people are, you know, giving less of them crap. This song come on.

Speaker 1

Well, and you know what, they are not hiding from the crap. No, they're addressing it head-on exactly and saying well, you know, all right, yeah, everybody has a bad day, so, oh yeah. So they keep making music, you know, and hey, this is an amazing song. I love this, it is. It's so much fun, it is. And actually, one thing I did see from this in the like day and a half that it's been out and we've been watching it, my boyfriend jen did a tiktok challenge with them. Did you see? He? He had that down, he loved it, he was so and he did his little flying kiss at the beginning.

Speaker 2

I know he's like his signature move. I'm here.

Speaker 1

But he did not hide from doing the sassy hands.

Speaker 2

The like.

Speaker 1

I got my girl look going on.

Speaker 2

Yeah, no, he did exactly like the challenges. He's not going to shy away from it. Oh yeah, no, he's like I'm here.

Speaker 1

He's like I'm here to support yes but he was like so in sync with them. Yeah, I, I was amazed. I was like is he part of the group? He's?

Speaker 2

probably be like let me start getting routines down before everybody comes in, so I don't be too lost.

Speaker 1

Oh my god you know it's like let me start practicing right now on something but so he's just been so busy I know my god, like the olympics, the 24-hour television with iba, yeah, this you know, because I mean he had to learn the choreography. He's done episodes, episodes, multiple of the run bts only they're just calling it run gin yeah, plus showing up on other variety shows and stuff. I mean the guy like does he sleep? Hello.

Speaker 1

Plus modeling his whole all the sponsorships and, uh, you know the ambassador for this and that and whatever right, everybody like he got out of the military and everybody's like grab him exactly grab him I know it's like and he looks like his hair's growing out, so it's looking nice yeah I like it. Yeah, I know, she's just so cute. He's adorable. All right worldwide. All right Worldwide, handsome.

Speaker 2

Yes, it is. So now we're going to be talking about B-First's Bliss, blissful Bliss. I was like, isn't it blissful, blissful, bliss, blissful. Sorry, I'm thinking of something else, what am I thinking of? Okay, no, Bliss.

Speaker 2

Bliss. Oh no, that's Blizzard dq ice cream. Well, it's similar bliss, bliss, bliss, bliss. I don't know, I guess I want ice cream now, blissful, blissful. I don't ask him, is blissful to get the right combination? Okay, never mind, all right. So we're gonna start that right now. Very playful beginning. It is smooth voice, definitely chill vibes with this song.

Speaker 1

It's sort of a combination of, as you like to call it, the kumbaya.

Speaker 2

It's the kumbaya, but also it's sort of like a, a chant call out song this is an everybody song, because they even say to the left, which is coming up right, yeah, I feel so blissful to the left to the right to the front, to the back to the top. We're the best.

Speaker 1

I feel so blissful everybody sing it, but yeah, so that's where the yeah like the chant sort of kind of is like we're gonna go left, we're gonna go right, we're gonna go front back yeah, kind of like line dancing. Yes, oh you you got to it before me. I was gonna say it's sort of that combination of all these things pep rally like yeah, left, right, but also line dancing right, but also the music is just light and sort of playful.

Speaker 2

Yeah, airy this is good to keep to involve the crowd.

Speaker 1

This is definitely a cutesy song oh yeah, everybody you know, put your hands up, yeah which they did on one of their shows.

Speaker 2

They were singing this song and, like everybody, was really involved into the, the chorus. Well, I love the hey here we go, everybody together, the chorus. Well, I love that. Here we go, everybody together. The chorus is coming soon, to the left, to the right, to the front, to the back. Hey, To the top with the best.

Speaker 1

I feel so blissful and it is blissful. It is a blissful song and you know what, when I was first because this is one of the ones we originally were going to talk about anyway so I was listening to it a lot and, despite listening to it a lot, I kept wanting to sing. I'm so peaceful and I'm so grateful. For some reason, those kept coming into my head, even though I knew it was blissful and the song is blissful. But I was like, if you think about it, they sort of go with it, because when you're blissful it's because you're grateful for something or you're peaceful about something, like you reach this level. And so I was like, interesting, like how they came.

Speaker 2

I wanted to sing something different it's very sweet, you know, it is blissful. It's sweet, it's cheerful, it's uplifting. Right, it's very sweet. Everybody's voices were amazing. Nothing on your face, of course, because there's something like to sing along with your friends yeah, this is this is a little group, feel good, everybody.

Speaker 1

Yeah. Just because I think it's also a lot about the reason they're feeling blissful is because, you know, when you think about there's shit to the left, there's shit to the right, oh my god. There's stuff in front, there's stuff behind me, oh my god. But like in the end, yeah, we're gonna go to the top, we're the best you know what I mean like the best yep, like it's just sort of saying despite all the daily crap, you can be blissful. Yeah, you know. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2

You know, I do like that analogy Also. You know you got to move along and then keep moving along and then you reach to the top because you're the best Okay.

Speaker 1

Yeah, so it's just there's.

Speaker 2

You veer to the left veer to the right. You keep going forward, oh back up a little bit because you know, yeah, whatever it is there's, whatever obstacles, we're still gonna go to the top right.

Speaker 1

Yeah, everything. It may not be ideal, now yeah, you'll reach that place. That bliss my whole thing of being like I want to say peaceful, I want to say grateful, but I was like they're sort of they all work together, so yeah performed by b first.

Speaker 2

We have written by akun leo loar monato sky high yeah, of course, sunny, and zen. So those were, uh. All those people worked in the writing by.

Speaker 1

Well, like at least three right were members. Yes, was it more I didn't?

Speaker 2

leo is in manitou is yeah, well, sky high.

Speaker 1

Okay, I, I well I was.

Speaker 2

I remember leo and I know manitou. Yeah, yeah, we know leo, because we thought it was everyone to the episode. But anyways, but manato is the one with the crew cramp, love him but yeah, you know, sky, he's got his hands in everything.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, he is like fully immersed in creating these groups and the music and everything and he's multi-talented guy. Oh yes, he is. That is definitely a feel-good song. Just, you can't be like bummed out about anything after you listen to it. No, because it it sort of takes you through the steps of just being like. You know it's a pick-me-up song yeah, they tell you, yeah, left, right front back there you go.

Speaker 2

This is really good how you move through to reach bliss. Yes.

Speaker 1

Awesome, love it. Great song Okay.

Speaker 2

So, of course, it's an open conversation. Everybody, Please leave us your comments. We would like to hear your comment. Speaker 1

Gonna be four years this year, so three and a half years.

Speaker 2

There you go three and a half years because it's like the yeah, definitely I'll go.

Speaker 1

So Well, it's also like a very what a weird sort of like. Listening to it and just talking about it in the moment is really kind of wild too, because things you thought of before but may not have written down. You know previously Like I used to do that all the time even though I was trying to take notes I'd forget about something.

Speaker 1

So like listening to it sort of keeps it all fresh right in, right there in the moment. Awesome, I'm on my sugar. I haven't crashed yet, so I'm like a little hyper you are crashing now because I can see it on your face now.
