Sarah and DJ Panic return with a music-filled ramble through the latest Asian music scene developments, kicking off with exciting venue news about the Weverse Con Festival. This massive K-pop event will transform Seoul's Inspire Entertainment Resort into a fan paradise with artists like &Team, Lee Mu Jin, and P1Harmony in a setting complete with hotels, casino, and entertainment venues – potentially creating the K-pop theme park experience we and other fans have dreamed about.

The heart of this episode centers on Sarah's emotional rollercoaster trying to secure tickets for J-Hope's tour. The retelling of monitoring Ticketmaster, watching resale prices fluctuate, and coming tantalizingly close to scoring seats captures the universal frustration of modern concert-going. Your hosts don't hold back the critique of ticket selling practices that leave genuine fans struggling while resellers profit, making this segment both cathartic and informative for anyone who's faced similar challenges.

J-pop news dominates with updates on EXILE's Tetsuya's unfortunate Achilles injury, PSYCHIC FEVER's upcoming fan meet, and timelesz' expansion to an eight-member lineup with both a new variety show and arena tour announcement. A particularly delightful tangent explores Yamada Ryosuke's seemingly ageless appearance, leading to speculation about the potential success of an idol-branded skincare line. The hosts' enthusiasm is contagious as they imagine which STARTO members might excel with different product lines.

Between industry updates and personal anecdotes, this episode perfectly balances insider information with the authentic perspective of passionate fans. Whether you're tracking tour announcements, struggling with ticket purchases, or simply enjoying new music releases, Sarah and DJ Panic offer both empathy and expertise while maintaining their signature comedic chemistry throughout.

March Birthdays and Bad Bunny Talk

Speaker 2

Oh my goodness, plus the other ones that you know. I'm like oh no, you know Anyways. So today's a Ransom Rambling. Would you like to date stamps today?

Speaker 1

Sure, it is March 15th, woohoo. Anybody's birthday today. Today, well, we're celebrating the whole month.

Speaker 2

I know, but I couldn't remember if anyone specific was today you know what I don't have my phone with and I usually keep it on that calendar. Recently we just celebrated kenty's birthday yes, we did happy birthday for Kenty Also, Sugar.

Speaker 1

I think we mentioned him before. Well, it's okay, and Fuma.

Speaker 2

And Fuma-kun in the past episode. Kenshi Yonesu's birthday was on the 10th. Oh, and also Bad Bunny.

Speaker 1

Oh, all right.

Speaker 2

All these awesome Pisces Bad Bunny is taking. I know this is not asian, I know he's. He's from puerto rican, but you know he is actually so popular right now worldwide, and his residency in puerto rico, oh my god, which of course I won't be able to go. You know he does have tickets for international fans, oh really.

Speaker 1

But that will be for august, oh god, august in puerto rico? Yeah, I don't know.

Exile's Tetsuya Injured - Recovery News

Speaker 2

I've been there, done that no, no, benito, I love you, but no, I'll wait for you to come over here and I'll go see you. No, I'm like august in puerto rico. No, this is the time that you want to go to puerto rico in, like january, february, march, april. You know like those are the best months to go to pr, also may, but I think that's when it started really getting hot well, I was gonna say, yeah, that's sort of the shift the changeover. Yeah, so you got to be careful oh yeah, oh.

Speaker 2

So we're going to rant and ramble on some news that we have seen in the K-pop and J-pop world and actually I remember. Okay, this is good, because a while ago, I know You're too far from the mic. I do want to say to everybody that we have a new audio setup, so you will hear me far away once in a while, or Sarah, once in a while yeah, we're trying to until we get this down adjust ourselves.

Speaker 1

Well, I'll just start with Exiles. Tetsuya sustained an Achilles tendon rupture during his Exile Tetsuya with EXPG Original Dance Workshop. This is on Tokyo Hive and, as a result, he is going to focus on recovery and refrain from physically demanding performances. So he will not be participating in the Exile Live Tour 2025, which is titled what is Exile. So we wish him a speedy recovery, because Achilles tendon that's bad, that's rough. But the Tetsuya and the team expressed their sincere apologies to fans and related parties and they will update on his recovery status. Poor guy, achilles tendon, that's not good.

Speaker 2

When an athlete injures an Achilles tendon, they're just out for the whole season pretty much. Yeah, no, it's Because it's.

Speaker 1

No, it's hard to recover well, just you know, when you think about, like, when someone steps on the back of your foot and sort of hits, yeah, that top part of your heel, it's painful.

Weverse Con Festival Announcement

Speaker 2

So, yep, jesus, I don't, and I don't know exactly what he did to it, but not good, not good even athletes will like injure that part on just training not even on an actual game, so it just could happen to anybody that's very true, definitely speedy recovery for tetsuya and um, many, many, many, many, many, many episodes ago I can't say which year I want to say, either 2023 or 2024 we were talking about why this was more bts park, or you know, yeah yeah a place that all the fans go in there, have fun and they got the music.

Speaker 2

You know like a theme park or bts yeah, right, yep okay, on march 12th my birthday uh weavers con festival announced its first lineup. Oh, yes, yes, this has a hotel. It's a hotel called inspired that has a huge arena well, not a huge arena, but an arena that holds 1500 people and in there they're gonna have a weavers Festival.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Where the lineup is Anteem 5050, lee Mujin, lightsum, also nowadays P1, harmony, yeah Cool, which we saw, and many more so I was just thinking, wow, did somebody listen? And many more. So I was just thinking, wow, did somebody listen? So they have this location that they're going to turn out to be like a whole K-pop festival.

Speaker 1

They did one last year.

Speaker 2

There's a hotel, you know.

Speaker 1

Casino, you can eat there's all kinds of stuff in there. There is a casino in there.

Speaker 2

I know I was looking into it because I was like let me go to this website and see what the heck is this? You know the building is called Inspire Entertainment and it offers Eat and Stay, a mall, a Splash Bay, of course, the casino, like I was saying before, and other amenities you know, probably like spa and whatever.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, a gym, so this is.

Speaker 2

I'm looking at this no, no, no gym.

Speaker 1

This is huge this is like it looks well. No, but I'm saying if they got a spa, they probably got a gym, they got all kinds of stuff it's.

Speaker 2

I'm like, wow, it just looks like a casino, like you know, vegas type thing yeah and I'm like huh awesome.

Speaker 1

They did do a weverse con last year as well, but I don't remember anything about hotel casino and all that.

Speaker 2

So yeah, girl, this is huge they're trying to they're trying to get people upgrade, so it's gonna be at inspired arena and discover park, brought to you by hi and weavers cool. So this, uh, the festival. Let's see stay tuned for dates on the lineup.

Speaker 1

Okay so they'll be possibly adding more people possibly they want to keep everybody there.

Speaker 2

I mean, it is in seoul yeah so it's like there's no visa issue because everybody's korean. Well, unless there's a one of the the members that might not be from like another country, but I mean they're working there, so there won't be. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, you can't blah, blah, blah. It's not showing up because of visa problems.

Speaker 1

No, they're all korean, so they'll be able to.

Speaker 2

So, in other words, save up your money if you want to go over there and see all these artists. Yeah, when is it happening? It's gonna be from may 31st and june. No, may 31st and june 1st. Oh, okay, cool. So we were just. I mean, this is not just only like bts, like we were thinking, but hey, this is all just k-pop right, and it's yeah, the lineup is huge and apparently it's going to be more cool. Hey, if you got the money, go for it.

Speaker 1

I know right, you need to get to Seoul first.

Speaker 2

Exactly.

Speaker 1

It's amazing how many people do. Yeah, just go all in for it. Well, it's sort of like for Suga's tour and now currently J-Hope's tour. Yeah, there are people from around the world coming here to the us to go see it.

Sarah's J-Hope Ticket Hunt Saga

Speaker 2

Well, speaking of the j-hope tour, sarah has a major saga. She well, like you, go ahead.

Speaker 1

I was gonna say, on top of the already you arduous task of trying to get tickets. When they first went on sale, I think it was Sunday or Monday morning, I had gotten a message, like a little ping, from Ticketmaster that more tickets were on sale for J-Hope's tour. I was like, oh awesome, so maybe we can get some. And I sent you a message and we were talking about it because I was like, how impulsive are you feeling? Because I could do this. But the problem was the only tickets available were all these ones. I could see the section. It was like behind the stage and I'm like there's no way you'd be able to see anything that's so ridiculous able to see anything.

Speaker 1

That's so ridiculous. And I was like what? And they were all verified resale tickets, which means somebody else had bought them and put them back up, which you've heard us complain about this multiple times For $176,. I was like $176 to maybe see the back of his head for five to 10% of the show at best. Right, because the way the stage is set up.

Speaker 1

I was like he's, he's not going to be able to come around the side to see you behind there, exactly, and I was like this is ridiculous. But so what I was doing is I was checking every day because I was like, well, maybe the prices will come down the closer we get Right. And I was doing is I was checking every day because I was like, well, maybe the prices will come down the closer we get Right. And I was right, they did start coming down, but I was still like by Wednesday it was, you know, $126 for these same seats. Still, we're talking anywhere from eight to 10 hours round trip driving for us to get down there to 10 hours round trip driving for us to get down there, and then, you know, to not really see him, and as much as we say you know, it's all about the energy of being at the show you do want to see the artist, you do.

Speaker 1

Oh, come on. Yeah, so let's see. By Thursday, some of the tickets were down to 104. And I was like, oh, oh, my god, this is so, you know, tempting. But anyways, friday morning I'm at work, I go online to check the tickets and I actually see some priced at $90.84 something you know, random and I was like, uh, all right, let's which section is this.

Speaker 1

They were actually side stage, so they would have been sort of what we had when we saw sugar. We'd have been centrally located at the side of the stage, but that meant we would see him oh yeah and I was like, do I call panic or no?

Speaker 1

no, I'm just gonna buy. Because I was like we'll just hop in my car, I'll leave work early, we'll hop in my car and we'll just drive down. So I was like I'm just going to do it, push on it. It's thinking, thinking, thinking. And that's like sorry, these tickets were sold. I was like, oh, my God, you've got to be kidding me. Now this is oh. Also in the meantime, for those tickets behind the stage. Originally they did not say anything about limited view, but with my concert going experience, I do know how these things work. So I knew, you know, the ones behind the stage were limited view. They didn't actually say anything until wednesday. They all of them were suddenly marked warning limited view. I'm like you creeps exactly but so anyways.

Speaker 1

So I missed out on these tickets. So whoever got section 224, seats three and four, congratulations. But I'm really annoyed with you. I think it was 224. But anyway. So I'm looking again. And then I saw two more, for $97 approximately each. They were a little further towards the back of the stadium, but still forward facing to the stage. I was like, all right, I'm just going to do it. I'm just going to do it, click on buy. I'm thinking, thinking, thinking, sorry, these tickets were sold. So again, whoever got seats 18 and 17, sort of towards the back, congratulations. But I'm really angry at you. So anyways, yeah, I wound up.

Speaker 1

I sent panic. First I sent like a sigh right. And then I'm like I have a saga to tell you because I was right. And then I'm like I have a saga to tell you because I was. While I'm trying to buy tickets on my phone, I'm on my work computer calculating how long it's going to take us to get there where we can park. I'm like, doing all this stuff, I'm like, come on, if I get them, I need to find parking now. You know, yeah, we'd have just by the skin of our teeth made it in, because we'd have probably gotten there around 730. We'd have had to walk at least 10, 15 minutes from any parking. But I guess it was just not meant to be. No, but I tried, I tried.

Speaker 2

I tried and that's just to let everybody know that ARMY is so, so desperate to see any member's concert, right, any member's concert, because the last one was just JK when he did those things out in New York Right.

Speaker 1

But those were. I think that both of those were free, the central park things, but still people were camping out for days. Exactly like you wouldn't have been able to get in people are just so desperate to see the boys.

Speaker 2

I mean, j-hope is on tour, everybody just get in there, you know, yeah.

Speaker 1

So I'm just thinking what's gonna happen with this tour, I know no, I'm seriously, I'm gonna have, I'm gonna take the day off and I'm gonna start my computer like midnight the night before and I'm just gonna be there refreshing until that thing opens I will be doing the same thing I'll be helping you out because we got to see these boys, I know right.

Speaker 2

But the thing is, you know, and I'm like two or three days, well, they were doing three days right. The last time they were doing just three.

Speaker 1

Oh, you mean when they were doing the permission to dance.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it was only three days on each city, right?

Speaker 1

Actually, I think it was only two, two, I believe it was only. Oh wait, no, they did four. I thought they did. They did four somewhere. I think that might have been in Las Vegas. I want to say yes, or am I mistaken?

Speaker 2

There were some places that have three dates. Yeah, I remember seeing maybe a couple of cities with three dates. Yeah, I remember, for New Jersey they did three dates.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, but that was what? 2019? Yeah, 2018? 19. I think it was 2019.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it's been so long. I'm like they might need to do like a week.

Speaker 1

I know.

Speaker 2

They'll have to do a week on each city.

Speaker 1

Yeah, somebody hear this. You need to do multiple dates. Yes, because, as it is, I saw so many people talk about they were going to both days of J-Hope in whatever city. That because he's doing two days in every city.

Speaker 2

That's what we're trying to do. Yeah, yeah, that didn't work out. No but, so, hello, they need to do like a week I know in every place. So at least somebody will will be able to see the boys, and they need to make sure like j-hope totally could have been doing bigger arenas, of course.

Speaker 1

I mean, I'm a huge fan of small venues and arenas because it's more intimate and you see, but when you're talking about an artist so huge, there is no way, no way people are going to be able to see them. And I mean, you know, we're not the only people who missed out. We're in a boat with a lot of other people who didn't get to see this and right right, we don't mean to complain, but we're complaining because we love these artists and we want to see them.

Speaker 2

So knowing how hugely popular it. You know bts members are right.

Speaker 1

It's just stupid not to make it longer tour yeah, exactly you know, get more dates well, I was gonna say too, the other thing with this tour is, on the original sale you could buy up to four tickets on these new released seats. There was a limit of two. You could only buy two tickets. So they sort of changed all the little rules and stuff. But I thought, yeah, a lot of people were like, how are there magically all these seats now available? Were they holding out on them? Were they, you know, doing this and that?

Speaker 1

And I told you I had a theory that some people who had to spend a lot more on their original seats bought some of these limited view ones and were hoping to sell them to make their money back. And hey, you know, free enterprise, go you. But it still just really annoys me that, like when we were trying, the first round is suddenly you're seeing hundreds of resale tickets. I'm like, so people are buying four and then selling two of them for an exorbitant price. Like it's legalized I hate using the word because it's really, you know, sort of but, they're just allowing people to screw over fans.

Speaker 1

That's all I can say. They're making it legitimate.

Speaker 2

It's a 50-50. There's the scalper and there's the fan, who's also a scalper who wants to be like this? Person is going to pay some of my stuff when.

Speaker 1

I go over there, and so some people were saying I don't know if it's true, I'm not in the industry, but like that they hold back a certain number of tickets to re-release. But I was like everything I was seeing was verified resale, so to me that means they weren't holding these tickets, that somebody else bought them and was waiting till people were desperate enough to pay. You know, 350 bucks for a ticket to see J-Hope. Yeah, you know what I mean. So, yeah, anyways, that's our, our never ending ticket master.

Speaker 2

Yeah, this gripe will never end. This gripe will never end until something changes and and also for some people they were complaining.

Speaker 1

You know Live Nation did this or whatever. Just so you know live nation and ticket master are in fact the same thing. If you go to live nation, you get rerouted to ticket master exactly so when you're spouting your anger at live nation, you're still spouting your anger ticket master.

Speaker 2

Remember that it's the same company with a different name.

Psychic Fever Fan Meet Coming Soon

Speaker 1

Please you know, it's not that they're equally evil, it's that they're the same evil they're the same evil, it's just a different name, just like xy japan yeah instead of hive right, I said xy or something like that is it xy? Yeah, yeah, xy, japan or y y, x, y x y, I think it's y or y x. It was x because everybody's using x for the first name so there you go sorry we spent so long on that, but you know how we get about these things us and tickets.

Speaker 2

I wanna, I wanna give that first because, yeah, it was.

Speaker 1

It's just but I was so ready, so ready to just hop in the car and start driving.

Speaker 2

Yeah, sarah's like oh, and I'm like what happened? She's like I have a saga and I'm like oh, no wait till I get home because I was doing I I was not home when she was texting me and I'm like what happened? And she's like oh, I'm getting home in this. I'm like, oh, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1

Like I said, I figured for, you know, a hundred bucks a ticket we could do it if we were seeing the front of the stage, but it's very, very rare that you get, you know, obstructed or limited view things that you actually right are not obstructed I, I had it happen.

Speaker 1

Once they said uh, this was, I was young, we were going to see the monkeys, it, I mean, it wasn't even all the monkeys, because but anyway. But, um, but we were gonna go see the monkeys and I got tickets and it said obstructed view because we were gonna be behind the orchestra pit. But it's a concert, it's a rock concert. It's not like a show where there's gonna be an orchestra. So we got brought in, we were in the front row and the only thing that made it, you know, obstructed view, was no obstruction, but that we were four feet away from the stage because the orchestra pit was in front of us but there was no orchestra. Ok, so we weren't, we weren't getting our vision blocked at all. So it was awesome, we had front row seats to the monkeys. I was wicked excited because, yes, I tv.

Speaker 2

Come on, it's the cutest group. What's the cutie of the group?

Speaker 1

but like when, when I saw these seats for j-hope, I was like no, those are not. Yeah this isn't the forefoot gap for the orchestra pit at all.

Speaker 2

Anyways, thank you, j-hope, for stopping by New York, not Boston, new York, there's plenty of places in Boston with the same amount of seats.

Speaker 1

I know right.

Speaker 2

Anyways, well speaking of seats, I know right. Anyways, well speaking of Boston. So while I was on air, an announcement was made. I'm like Sarah.

Speaker 1

Sarah, yeah, I saw that this morning.

Speaker 2

I'm like I'll wake her up, whatever If it pings. It pings, but I need to send that now before I forget, because this is exciting, because last year, psychic Fever, we're in New York, brooklyn, and we're like it was like in the middle of the week, we couldn't do it. And it's like, man, we can't, it's not doable. Oh, wow, you know, maybe next time. So all of a sudden they made a actual announcement uh, so connect entertainment is gonna bring back the boys with a fan meet, yes, july.

Speaker 2

So I went over to the'm like is this the time? I'm like, come to Boston. I'm like putting it out there, boston, please, come on, come on, it's not like. You know, xl has actually not been in Boston. Many moons ago, one of the junior groups called Taro actually went to the big forum at the Boston Festival, the Japan-Boston Festival, yep, yep. So I got to meet the juniors that I now know they're already in a group and I'm like, oh my God, I remember seeing you. We were just a little peep, you were like 15 or 16. And now you're in a group. So I'm like like, so they can come to boston. You know, it's not like they can't. Yeah, it's doable, come on, please so. So they're aiming for july, so we'll see what's going on so they haven't released where no, no, the announcement was done.

Speaker 1

You know this morning I saw it was like 12 30 yeah am so, uh, so, more to come.

Speaker 2

So I'm looking, keeping my eye on it, keeping an eye on it and I'm like sending messages over there. I'll be like, come on, you do, come on, connect. Come on, I thought, help me out here, come on, this is, this is gonna be awesome. So a fan meet fan meet.

Speaker 1

That would, yeah, that would be cool because, as everybody knows, we've talked about them in a previous actually a couple of previous episodes yes we did one, I think, just on them, yes, and then we've covered a single here and there.

Speaker 2

You know, yes, ah, that'll be cool, that will be cool, so all right. Universe couldn't see j-hope come on where I go see these guys I want to see my jimmy. I want to see jimmy. What is yours?

Speaker 1

little peep, nice voice, yes oh, that's, you know me, I like, I go for the, that voice, that tone, not always, I mean, I do like voice and tone.

Yamada's New Video and Skincare Potential

Speaker 2

So he uh reveals a uh new video for red. Yes, his hair even looks like it's a new video for red.

Speaker 1

Yes, his hair even looks like it's a little tinged red.

Speaker 2

I see I have not seen the video, but I can see on the thumbnail, of course, looking gorgeous as always. Oh my God, yeah.

Speaker 1

I know right.

Speaker 2

Yeah, For some reason, Okay. So sometimes like, well, I was, you know, on air, I saw that and I'm like huh, and I keep thinking and I'm like hmm, and thinking of him, and then I'm like what other characters you know? Because he's an actor and I'm like he's so like you can't believe that he's already in his 30s, I know he's so he still looks charm, looking yeah, so young, and I'm like he can still play like honey senpai from or on host club.

Speaker 2

He's completely honey senpai, oh my god, because it's just, he just looks so young and and he well, you have seen on his Instagram pictures he can be, you know, like, like you said, the smolder, but sometimes he does things that I'm like what are you 12? Yeah, no, because he looks so cute and like young.

Speaker 1

And.

Speaker 2

I'm like what the hell so?

Speaker 1

yeah, yeah, he'll be able to play juveniles for a little while longer. Now, right, jeez, that's the theater speak. He'll be able to play juveniles for a little while longer. Now, jeez, that's the theater speak. Juvenile role.

Speaker 2

Right Like Raul's going to look older than him. I know, you know, raul will be 30. He might look 30. And Yamada will still look 25.

Speaker 1

Because by then what Yamada will be?

Speaker 2

almost 40, right? What does he do? What kind of I know we?

Speaker 1

kind of Well. Remember Fuma's mom wanted Yamada's skincare, yes, and couldn't get it. He's like can you get some? That was so awesome when they're driving around, yeah, poor Yam Yam. He's like nervously laughing.

Speaker 2

Come on, hook up a mom when I look young Like you, Yum-Yum. You know, if he ever goes, you know, as a side gig or project, if let's say he's a jump, you're, you're like, you know not many activities and whatever he can go into skincare, cosmetics, he can be a spokesperson for somebody.

Speaker 1

oh yeah, definitely you know, I mean well, I think that's what that was too. Wasn't he promoting a skincare thing, and that was why it was?

Speaker 2

selling out what I would prefer, that he will have his own line. Oh my god, will he be selling out? You know, yam yam, skincare? I'd probably buy it. Oh my god, definitely he could. Yam yam, I'm putting it out there for you you know, think about that. I hope you're thinking about that. You know yes.

Speaker 1

Start your own skincare line. Just get into the cosmetic line. You know Well, I mean, he already shared his like daily skincare routine with us in one of his little Get ready with me thing All of the. Yo Nino guys did their own little yeah Segment and his own little yeah segment and his was like a day with me he's like oh, I woke up with bedhead, remember we talked about that I wish my hair will come out like that they were like two pieces out of place maybe.

Speaker 2

Oh my god I was mad at him for that second when he said I got a pit head and I was like shut up, you're dumb. Please. Anyways, you're still cute. Yum, yum, oh man. So I'm going to put okay. So I'm going to. This is a question for the listeners and who are Starto fans or um jump fans if yamada has his own cosmetic line, will you buy it?

Speaker 1

I'll answer first. Yes, I'm sure there's gonna be a lot of people out there.

Speaker 2

so, yeah, that's something I want the the listeners to participate, because lately on okay asia, people are actually participating and that's something I want the the listeners to participate, because lately on okay asia, people are actually participating and that's awesome, cool, you know, stir things up, you know, do something different. You know I not always the same, because that gets monotonous and I get bored. I'm sure fans were getting bored, you know. So I'm like, I like I gotta do something. It is my show, I can do whatever I want. I don't have. No, I'm the producer, I'm the you know director, I am, you know, I'm the, I'm the talent, hello, you know. So it's like I'll do whatever I want, that's it. But of course, I do listen to fans If they give a lot, when they send us, send us suggestions.

Speaker 1

you know, like we did on the last episode, we answer answered some questions or gave our opinions on certain events or situations.

Speaker 2

And yeah, it's an open conversation, so this this is one you know, will you buy Yamada's? You know skin care, cosmetic skin care. You know, will you buy yamaras? You know cosmetic skincare. You know all that. Definitely, definitely fuma I don't know, I'm thinking of fuma now. Okay, fuma, he likes his body a lot because we have seen him always like you know, know, flexing, yes, so maybe like exercise regimen.

Speaker 1

Could be Come up with his own Workout with Fuma Right.

Speaker 2

That would be good, nino, I don't know, nino doesn't like to exercise. The only thing.

Speaker 1

you see him, his favorite phone app, I guess develop a gaming phone app yeah, that's probably gaming or how to wear a hat, you know, oh, how's he's always got his hat like a different way or suggestions on how to sit on an ottoman yeah, without falling off right, he's always fidgeting on the ottoman I know again, then one leg out and then both leg in.

Speaker 2

I'm like what are you doing? It's like he's doing yoga.

Speaker 1

There you go yoga exercises with chair, yoga with ottoman yoga with ninomiya there we go.

Speaker 2

Our Asians will do this, I think they'll go for it.

Speaker 1

Oh my god oh god, I love our boys gotta love our boys.

Speaker 2

Uh, you were talking about that. Vicky Blanca is gearing up for a North American tour and Japan. He's doing both.

Vicky Blanca North American Tour Plans

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's well. We've talked about Vicky Blanca before. We loved that song, sneak, and I saw him perform with Arashi during COVID on the Tokyo H hits did a live stream thing. Really good performer. So yeah, after his explosive debut on the North American tour last year, vicky Blanca is set to return to the continent before embarking on his largest ever Japan tour. Oh cool, this is again on Tokyo Hive. In May he will perform in Canada, the US and Mexico, then followed by seven cities in Japan, starting in June. So for those here in North America, just quick run of dates May 11th in Montreal, may 12th in Toronto, may 15th in New York Are we doing something? That date sounds familiar? May 17th Mexico City, may 20th Vancouver and May 27th LA. And then in Japan it'll be June 14th Tokyo, june 24th Aichi, june 27th Hokkaido, july 6th Fukuoka, july 20th Miyagi, august 24th Ishikawa and August 30th in Osaka. He's, like I said, really good live performer, very energetic, music is awesome may 11 in toronto.

Speaker 1

It's a sunday, ah you're already looking at everything. Well, do you know I?

Speaker 2

okay, I lately wait. May 11th is montreal yeah, montreal, sorry, okay, no, may 12th. Toronto, right, okay, I've been wanting to go to Toronto, but okay, but family and I like to go to Montreal around my birthday. This winter was really brutal, so we just, I just said no, let's just you know, because last year we went for my birthday and it just stormed.

Speaker 1

Oh, yeah, yeah, that's right. You were trying to get home in it.

Speaker 2

oh my gosh stuck in a snowstorm like but at least we were in vermont. We were not actually in montreal, but still so I'm like let's wait, let's wait. And then I'm like I was saying, maybe late spring, early summer, hello I know right maybe this this is the time, well I've been to both.

Speaker 1

They're both cool cities, so I have not been to toronto I spent more time in toronto when I went to montreal. It was sort of a yeah a day trip from. I have family in Vermont, okay, so we started, just drove up and right looked around but Toronto. I spent almost a week there, so cool so you know I was, so either one. I know I'm just thinking need your passport in order, though I got my passport okay, oh yeah, I got my passport.

Speaker 2

Do we need an eta? Oh, I don't know, because now I've been seeing this eta, if you want to go to england you need an eta. Oh, really, yes, I'm like oh, oh, um, interesting, who do you have to tell? How do they? Um, I guess you just have to. If you're flying to england, I guess they'll tell you hey, you need to do this thing before you fly out oh, okay, so there's.

Speaker 1

Oh, geez, I don't know if we need maybe we should look into that now, because we want to be able to say, yes, this is when we're going uh, so yeah, yeah, well, so, yeah, well, you know things happening over here, Making it difficult for no apparent reason.

Timeless Updates: New Variety Show and Tour

Speaker 1

Well, but we're one of the states that Canada offered to adopt, I know, so we're in sort of good position, canada likes us a little still hopefully oh, I love you Canada. I can sing their national anthem better than our own, because that was part of when I went up there, the. The reason I was there for a week was the US national anthem. It's just it too hard.

Speaker 2

I know Nobody can sing it Even the Puerto Rico one is good, you know. Yeah, I can sing Canada's too as well. I can't really sing it Like why are you going to make it difficult US? But then people just want to come over here. You know it's like a bad relationship. You know why you treat me so bad, but then I'm staying here. I'm like Jesus.

Speaker 1

Yeah, let's not do politics, Okay.

Speaker 2

But anyway, I know Sometimes it's just unavoidable, but I just have to. You know what I said on air a couple of nights ago or a couple of shows ago. I said, if any Americans are in your country, please be kind to us. We're going through a very, very rough, rough, rough time.

Speaker 1

Please be kind to us.

Speaker 2

We're in your country because we need to escape our madness.

Speaker 1

I was going to say those of us who are traveling are actually not the problem. No, let's just put it that way.

Speaker 2

Exactly.

Speaker 1

You know Panic and I are free thinking yeah, but did we already talk about the Tim timeless tour?

Speaker 2

that's gonna happen I think we mentioned that they were doing a tour. They announced a dome tour yeah um, but let's talk about that with their all-new eight member lineup.

Speaker 1

they look good together actually. Yes, if you look at the header on this Tokyo Hive article, they've got a nice linear panoramic view of the members. They look good together. Yes, they really do. Your favorite guy there he's got a little smirk on his face. Yeah, he looks like he's got an attitude. Yeah, not bad, just he's got a little smirk on his face. Yeah, he looks like he's got an attitude. Yeah, not not bad, just he's got an attitude.

Speaker 2

it's so funny because he's I know fuma does not, you know like to take favorites, but I can tell that's for my favorite too.

Speaker 2

See, he knows we're like you know well, I think fuma probably sees him as like a mini me yeah because the the personality, yes, that quirkiness yes they're very similar the thing here with fuma is like, you know, I'm your senpai, so I can really like so, but, um, but hara is, oh, hara is so cute and yeah, he, he is a, a mini fuma, let's say, and I can see fuma. Just, you know, not pest, maybe pestering him the most, but it's just because you're so much like me, dude, you know, but I am the, I am the senpai, I am the senpai, which is cool. Um, but yeah, this, yeah, it's. I'm like it's just.

Speaker 1

I look at this lineup and I'm like, wow, it's just yeah eight I know wow, oh, you know what, and actually I must have clicked on the wrong article. I know I saw one about the tour, but this is actually about um. Timeless launches first variety show, timeless man, with the all-new eight-member lineup yes, they have a tv show. Yes, starting april 20th, timeless will take on their first variety show, timeless man airing sundays at what is 25? I'm trying to calculate the time 2500 hours, 25, 25 japan standard time. That I don't know what that means, because right hours in the in the uh right.

Speaker 2

That's why maybe someone made a typo, because it's not the first time they do this, because I was reading one time out loud and I'm like what?

Speaker 1

I wonder if they meant I. I can't even think what they might have meant, because 25, 25 so well at some time on Sunday nights, but yeah, so that's kind of cool. This comes after the group's transformation following the addition of five new members through the Timeless Project Edition, so it's just going to follow them around, get to know the members, probably. So that's cool.

Speaker 2

I see the type, but, like I said, 25 I clicked on the wrong article.

Speaker 1

I'm like the tour and I'm like, oh wait, no, this, but see happy surprises. Right now we know they've got a t, another tv show show. I don't know if we'll be able to see it, I don't know.

Speaker 2

We can try, I don't know For us it will be like what Saturday, Whatever time they're doing it, yeah. We'll need to wait for them to correct their you know one of those VPNs, so we can actually see this oh.

Speaker 1

I see why this? Because this just popped up when we started recording, so it must have taken the place of the tour article. Okay, see, it's always an adventure and fun and laughs when you're hanging out with Panic and I. We're like we got this great news. Oops, where'd it go? It's fangirl comedians.

Speaker 2

We're just. You know we're. What were we talking about? I don't know, you know, we've always wanted to make it comedic. Uh, people have just said I laugh with you guys because you make it comedic. Yeah, you know, uh, we get serious when we have to get serious and when shenanigans happen you know, that's when I was gonna say I did find the timeless arena tour.

Speaker 1

I found that article. Now let's go for that now, because this was only eight hours ago, so it must be an update from we knew they were going to do.

Speaker 2

So I guess busy timeless is like announcing all kinds of stuff today.

Speaker 1

Well, yeah, they got. They got to get themselves out. You know now that they're a new little unit, they got to get themselves out there, get people to see them and hear them. They're on streaming now so you can definitely go find them and listen to them. See, they're going to have their arena tour titled we're timeless. Live tour 2025, episode one. That's quite a title for your tour. Yeah, from june to august.

Speaker 2

Yeah, oh yeah, so hot time is you know? It's probably as bad as puerto rico with the hotness.

Speaker 1

Well, even even here, because you and I have talked about like there's a couple of shows coming to, um, I never remember what it's called now, it was great woods. I've always just call it great woods, right, xfinity or something center, but it's an outdoor venue and in the middle of summer there is no air movement in that and it's open. I mean it's you're on a hillside, it should be.

Speaker 2

It's just miserable and awful because it's either hot or or raining, as we know at least this is just like you're gonna be outside just waiting to see, you know, to be seated, and but at least the venues are air conditioned, so that's good. It's just uh, waiting out there to get, yeah, to get in, it's that's. That's going to be the pain in the butt.

Speaker 1

June 28th through August 24th. Okay, there's a lot of stops.

Speaker 2

We're going to be in two dates in Chihuahua, two dates in Aichi. Let's see two dates in Fukuoka and two dates in Hokkaido and Osaka Kanagawa, Miyagi, Fukuoka and two dates in Hokkaido and. Osaka. We have Kanagawa, miyagi, shizuoka and I think they ended in Shizuoka Yep.

Speaker 1

Ah, but there's a little note at the bottom, just so everyone knows, hara will not perform on June 28th and 29th. Oh, hara will not perform on. June 28th and 29th. Oh and Taranishi will not perform July 5th, 6th, 19th or 30th Acting jobs.

Speaker 2

Yeah, probably. I know Hara does a lot of acting jobs, so yeah. Okay.

Speaker 1

Before he got into the group, both of them probably had previous engagements.

Speaker 2

Yeah, especially Hara.

Speaker 1

Does he do like dramas or theater or both?

Speaker 2

I believe I Dramas so far. I want to say drama. I got to get into more of my boy, see what's going on, but of course all of the boys I need to learn all the boys I know jeez, it took when I'm getting used to like snowman, I was just gonna.

Speaker 1

I mean other than daisuke, because he was my fate, but he is my favorite. I should say he was what well, no, you know, I'm thinking like when I was learning them all I was like, oh, he's my guy, yeah so, and uh, probably iwamoto, because he was, you know, like second favorite. Second, favorite, so I had two, two that I could, and Raul because he was an obvious.

Speaker 2

Oh baby Raul, oh my baby.

Speaker 1

Especially when they first started. Yeah, he was such a baby. You were like, oh, can't miss him. But everybody else took me so long to keep track of. I was like you know but daisuke's face is memorable because he also has this like little, those moles, yeah, the little beauty marks.

Snowman Fan Activity Discussion

Speaker 2

It looks so cute on him, please do not remove them. They're so cute on you, oh, just lovely. But now that we're talking about snowman besides, you know, there's no news or anything right now going on but family made an observation, which I also did, but I was just like, ok, maybe it's just me, maybe you know, because I've been concentrating on other stuff. So family made this observation, saying what's going on with Snowman? Their streaming for YouTube has gone down. Oh really, that's what they said. I'm like, well, now that you said that, I found it interesting. Then on one of my last request request forms, there was hardly any request, so I didn't play them. So I'm like what's going on with snowman? But then they made a comeback on request this week and I'm like I mean so big that they were on the first hour, which is my most requested. But so I was like what did just happen? So I'm like I didn't do a deep dive to see if maybe some type of announcement.

Speaker 1

I haven't seen anything.

Speaker 2

Right, I haven't seen anything. I haven't I don't know why that week.

Speaker 1

that was weird maybe all the snowman fans were on vacation it.

Speaker 2

I found it interesting. So I found it interesting. So if any snow babies you know like to chime in to us, uh, give us some information.

Speaker 2

Yeah maybe it was just a fluke that week, but just only that week, and, like I said, I was not the only one who noticed it, also family, which I'm like, wow, okay, so anyways, we're gonna leave it like that. Maybe we'll uh, something will come up, yes, which happens after we're done with this episode. Yeah, something will come up like in like a few hours. We're like dang it there it is so I don't know.

Speaker 1

Okay, anyways, and yeah, so most of our news was actually Japan based, cause when I was looking at a K-pop news, everything's just about where people knew charting. Well, we talked about Hobie, you know J-Hope.

Speaker 2

So in the whole we were saying, yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1

That's true, okay.

Speaker 2

So save your money. You want to go over there, so but that's like the only k-pop news well, there has been some news that are quite, really horrific. Oh yeah, no, that we're not gonna be talking about that, but I'm sure you know if you want to go and do a deep dive on that and go for it yeah, I mean, and it's been like relentless.

Speaker 2

Yes, it's all over my timeline but so we're not going to be discussing that. We're going to keep it a positive vibes. We're going to talk about, yeah, absolutely Just good shows, things are coming and whatnot, because, again, there's so much hate out in all aspects of industries and whatever, and in and around the world, we would like to just bring you positive vibes only here, and talk about our favorites, your favorites, and just things that are coming up.

Speaker 1

Yep, all right okay, I was gonna say, yeah, g dragon just got his sixth.

Speaker 2

Sixth win, you go boy.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I'm actually. I've been randomly hearing songs off of Ubermensch. I really I'm liking all of them. Awesome, I really am so our boy GD.

Lady Gaga's Mayhem Album Appreciation

Speaker 2

he hit it.

Speaker 1

I've been stuck with Lady Gaga so oh my God, vanishing to you, is that it Vanishing to you Everything, well the whole album Woman.

Speaker 2

I love her.

Speaker 1

Oh, my God, vanish Into you Is that. It Vanish Into you Everything. Well, the whole album, this woman, I love her. Me too. I didn't know if I should mention it, but I do like the whole album, yeah, but there's something about that song Vanish Into you. Yeah, it's haunting. Yes, it's nostalgic, like the. The sound is 80s and 2000s sort of. It's so good, girl, it is so good girl, I just just love this album.

Speaker 1

It's just, ah, you know all right, I I was I was afraid to say anything because I'm like, is she gonna? You know? I know it's not asian artists, but we talked about bad bunny too. But yeah, it is technically women's month.

Speaker 2

Yes, lady gaga released this march 7th her new album and, oh my god, I love, I do, I love it too, girl there's some songs in here that I'm like, yes, exactly Nostalgic, and I was like, oh my God, I heard this before and I'm like, oh my God, I'm like lady. Yes, love you. This is like. So you know what I did today. I ended the show with the Lady Gaga song, abracadabra, and I'm in the studio like, I'm just like dancing.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

Because it's so good.

Speaker 1

Yeah, that one's good too.

Speaker 2

It's so oh.

Speaker 1

I am so.

Speaker 2

Yeah, this album is mayhem, mayhem, right yeah. It's complete mayhem, I mean.

Speaker 1

but in a good way, oh yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I mean, but in a good way, oh yeah, yeah, I mean hello disease it's like, so, like I don't know it gets you yeah.

Speaker 1

I swear to God. So yeah, definitely check it out.

Speaker 2

Yeah, she very, and, of course, the one that she did with a collaboration with Bruno Mars.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, yeah, that's good.

Speaker 2

He died with a smile. Mm-hmm. I'm like I'm crying over here. I guess it's like so, like, oh, love it.

Speaker 1

Well, and there's a French DJ I can't pronounce their name Gesoffelstein. You got closer than me. Yeah, I, I'm like probably butchering it. They did a Zombie Boy's good too, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I I'm like probably butchering it, they did.

Speaker 2

Or zombie boy is good too, yeah, yeah it's like it's good it's wow yeah, so definitely okay, our, our non-asian artist recommendation right now, lady gaga's mayhem yes, like I gave my, my one for benito when it came out, you know, for bad bunny actually, you know, it's very funny because he did that whole like nosferatu thing also right and now lady gaga. So all right. Well, thank you everybody for listening to this random ranting rambling. Please rate, review and share, share, share could you please give us five stars, because?

Speaker 1
