After weeks of music news and concert recaps, we're finally dedicating an entire episode to what we love most—experiencing music together!
Takanori Nishikawa's "HEROES" kicks things off with powerhouse vocals and orchestral rock arrangements that immediately transport you to an epic landscape. Nishikawa delivers clear, emotionally resonant performances that leave us in awe, and we find ourselves swaying to his perfectly enunciated lyrics and that unmistakable voice that gives us goosebumps.
We shift gears to savor Baekhyun's "Chocolate"—a sultry, jazz-infused R&B track that lives up to its name. The EXO member's solo project showcases his smooth, rich vocals against dreamy production. We focus on the metaphor comparing a potential love interest to chocolate and appreciate how the arrangement mirrors this complexity with subtle electronic flourishes and soulful piano.
i-dle (formerly (G)I-dle) brings attitude with "Good Thing,". The Avril Lavigne and Kesha vibes had us immediately hooked as we theorized that maybe this isn't your typical breakup song, but that maybe it's about that moment when you meet someone with a great reputation and quickly realize they're not worth your time.
VANNER's "Goodbye & Hello" offers a beautiful moment of calm with gorgeous harmonies and thoughtful lyrics about friendship and reunion. The song's gospel influences shine through in those goosebump-inducing vocal arrangements, creating a comforting soundscape that had both of us gently swaying throughout.
We close with Number_i's "Psycho"—an intense club banger that showcases why headphones are essential for truly appreciating modern production. The audio effects move across channels while each member's distinct vocal style shines through, from powerful belting to what we affectionately call Kishi's "demented rap" delivery.
Join us for this musical journey across genres and artistic evolutions!

OK ASIA
Welcome to Music Elixir
Speaker 1Hello everybody, welcome back to another episode of Music Elixir with me, sarah, and.
Speaker 2Miss DJ Panic yeah.
Speaker 1We were laughing earlier because we were like we think we're ready, we're going to do some music today.
Speaker 2We're finally, finally talking about music.
Speaker 1Well, we always talk about music, it's just we haven't been doing like listening to it and talking about it, right?
Speaker 2We have not dedicated to songs only. Only of news, you know. Announcements made by concerts and artists and music labels and shit shows or good news, of course, any good announcements, but uh, finally, we're dedicating this episode to five songs. So there's some five songs that, um, we well, I have picked. I was gonna say we picked, I picked and I said sarah, this is what we're talking about these are the songs she's like all right, but I did ask is there a song that you want to talk about?
Speaker 2the ones that I've wanted to talk about we're gonna do in a separate setting right, they sort of all go together, so we want to keep those together and this is you know I mentioned to sarah that, um, those artists, if we put them all together they tend to be listened the most right. That episode seems to be very, very like popular, so we're just to keep it like that.
Speaker 1Well, it makes sense, you know yeah.
Speaker 2Because we know how fandoms work.
Speaker 1We know how fandoms work, Although actually, if you sprinkle them here and there, then it forces everybody to listen.
Speaker 2I know which we have done in the past.
Speaker 1I mean yeah, but we don't like forcing you, yeah, yeah, so we're keeping like forcing you.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, I, I yeah, so we're keeping it like that. But I don't know, maybe one day we'll change again, because that's how we are and that's how we do, and I want to spice it up a little bit.
Speaker 1Unpredictable.
Speaker 2Because we're spicy, like that, we're spicy. So do you want Sorry, I was thinking of wasa, hey, chili, which we already talked about that I know, and we actually did talk about our constant experience very late, I know, because life happened, uh, but anyways no, that's been happening to me a lot lately is just a word.
Speaker 1Someone will say something and suddenly I'll have a song going through my head oh, no, yeah I do that constantly but like it's been really bad lately, like to the point of I'm just singing all day because I heard something earlier and I'm like, okay, it's good, it's like chronic lately, nice, I just constantly maybe because you needed to do a music episode I guess you know, wow, yeah yeah, maybe that could be. I haven't had to like really listen to music.
Speaker 2Yeah, we haven't concentrated and discussed, like you know, about the song. Should I introduce while we're listening to them, or should I just say who's on our list?
Speaker 1Oh, let's do them as we listen. Okay, that way, people have. You know, they just got to anticipate. Well, they'll see the show notes, so it doesn't matter, they'll see.
Speaker 2If you read the show notes before you listen to the to the episode, you'll know what it's all about. So, oh yeah, comment uh on. If we do that, if you listen, if you read the show notes before you listen to the episode yeah, I.
Speaker 1I would like to know that no a lot of people see the show notes, or do they just check the tags? You know?
Speaker 2Right, the show notes are very important. You know it gives a little snippet and kind of funny you know anecdotes yeah. You know of what's coming on the episode.
Speaker 1Talks about our sort of bizarre process of getting to things and talking about things.
Speaker 2So yeah, so just like a little funny intro to the episode. Anyways, so this artist was in a group and then he gone solo. He's been solo for a while. Actually, the group was even his initials. It was his group, you know, he is a powerhouse voice, um, so he just dropped a song called heroes and we're going to talk about takanori nishikawa. Well, previously was under tm revolution and oh boys up event. Oh god, what was the other one? It was like the name of the band was named after a british school boy oh, uh, oh.
Speaker 2Now abington boys school, yes, yeah, yeah abington boys is it abington high school boy?
Speaker 1no, I thought it was just abington boys school dang it. Now I gotta look it up. It was. I was like what are you? Who are you talking about? Wait a minute. And then, the minute you said like a british thing, I was like oh, I know, okay, it's almost like dang okay so he was part of a band then he went solo with tm revolution and then now he's just solo with.
Speaker 2You know takanori? You know just his name. Yeah, he's just solo. So according to wiki, the band formed in 2005 and it's 2025 now. So that was 20 years ago yeah, wow, and we want to talk about his solo today, but it's not about the band. I don't think they have. Wow, I don't think he's been active under that band in wow years.
Speaker 1Yeah, no, I mean there's still people listed active under it, but that's I don't know.
Speaker 2Yeah, but come on, his voice is such. He's such a powerhouse, in my opinion, because I do love his voice and of course, they also cover the song Dressed by Bucktick and there's a video out there of him and it might be love it. That's what she's singing. Oh my heart, though, love, if I was such, oh my god, if I was there, I will die anyway we're talking too much about what's going on.
Speaker 2We're not listening to the song we're gonna listen to the song hero which just came out. Um, I believe it's. I think either for a movie or actually he's been doing a lot of music for games.
Speaker 1Oh, okay, I think this is for a game.
Speaker 2Okay, so we're going to talk about. I tell you, we're going to hear right now the song Heroes, and it's Takanori Nishikawa.
Speaker 1Okay, this starts a little slow. It's building up Just his voice and a piano, whoa. Then you're hit with a chorus. Wow, it's got a very epic rock sound to it. We like that.
Speaker 2Yeah, and through his voice and piano, you know and yeah, the chorus, like you were saying, progressing of course, intensity it's that grand, full sound.
Speaker 1There's so much going on in it. You know those drums and then like violins, definitely a power.
Speaker 2So yeah power force. Definitely go with that. I love the way he like emphasized words, like he's an artist that you should listen if you're trying to learn english, because he just like emphasizes the words and I can actually like I can definitely understand his japanese. It's not like you know, or too fast, he's just enunciates yeah, yeah, he's got a very clear voice yes strong, clear.
Speaker 1Oh, look at the guitar. I know right, he's definitely been at this for 30 years at least. Oh my god since 1996, girl.
Speaker 2I mean, um, I've been to boy school was in all five, but I mean I think he's been. You know he's been in the business for longer than that. Oh, yeah, yeah so and in so many different iterations of himself, oh, yeah, he's been one that has been evolving, like you know, as an artist and a person as well, so you know, I can see this being for like a video game, or an anime for sure.
Speaker 1Sorry, I was just listening to that.
Speaker 2That build up right there in the middle right, oh my god, I know I love it it's like like you can sit, you can do karaoke with him and then, I don't know, you can enunciate as because, oh, I just love his voice.
Speaker 1He's a powerhouse, just a powerhouse, love it well, it's that the way he sings hero, that is strong. Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 2His voice is strong. A hero is strong, exactly, oh my.
Speaker 1God. No, there's something very sort of this like force behind it that just is. It's positive feeling, right, like strengthening, like giving you, giving you the hero vibe for yourself, you know, like you can be the hero. Yes, that's sort of how I I felt like it was pushing you on and and hyping you up. Yes, I like it though very good. Yes, very, very distinct vocals.
Speaker 2Yes, just amazing he's one of those voices that if I hear it in a song, I'm like it's him. It's him, it's takanori, oh my god. Because it's just, oh, love his voice. It's just like, like I was mentioning, asushi has his own voice as well that if I hear it I'm like, oh my god, it's him. It's those voices that I fall in love with, for, you know, it's just the way they, they sound, the enunciation, the, the, the emotion, the power.
Speaker 1Well, there's certain people like the, the timber of their voice, the, the sound that they create hits a certain point in. You know, within your ears, like right, something reverberates just the right way and it. Some sounds are more appealing, some voices are more appealing yeah they both have distinct voices. Very different voices, yes, but they do have that same effect on you. You know, like it's again. Not everybody likes everything, yeah, but you can certainly get the appeal, sense, the appeal for this voice you know what I mean so, oh, I like it, love it.
Speaker 1Touches that spot in my yeah inner ear that says, oh, this is a good, good range, good vocal he's amazing.
Speaker 2Yeah, I always have positive like. Just every song that he makes is just positive, at least for me. You know, give me some emotions, give me something. You know, it just goes inside of me and I'm like, oh, my god, yes, yes, it's him, he's amazing. Oh, seeing him live is gonna be like even more. Come on, because he's all over the place too, and, according to spotify, he has 121 000 monthly listeners plus. You know. So, like, yeah, which is good. I mean I wish there was more. I mean, he's been around for ages. Yeah, he's not doing much, I guess, like because it's been a while since he has released something. Maybe that's why, uh, but this song he's doing all this stuff, who knows but this song, wow. So congrats, I love. When I move on to the next song, sure, okay, the next artist that we're going to just listen and chat about is gonna be becky. Um, he came out with, uh, his solos, uh, cd or album, whatever you want to call it a mini album epa, yeah, came out with something um essence of rev.
Speaker 2What is it revere?
Speaker 1essence of revere I don't, I don't have the yeah, that's the name of his solo project.
Speaker 2And, uh, there's one song I think people are really like. I like a. Well, come on, the song is delicious. You know, it sounds delicious, it's delicious and it's chocolate and it's pretty well streamed. So we're gonna be talking about that one. So, wait, is this? Are you ready?
Speaker 1yeah, yeah, no, I sorry, I was like trying to find the song to see what you were trying to read. Yes, the, so the essence of reverie, oh, reverie, okay, my revere reverie, because I was like I've I heard the song when it came out on the the new release radar, but I hadn't looked up like what it was.
Speaker 2So I'm like, oh you know, it's been a while since we have recorded music. Did I feel like a complete newbie on doing this? I feel like a new you know.
Speaker 1You know because because you had picked some songs you wanted to do, so I wasn't, I haven't had any preparation behind it, so that's why I was like, oh, I don't have it on my, I didn't have it open on my spotify, so like I don't know what I'm looking at I just feel like a total noob, I'm telling you, I do.
Baekhyun's Smooth "Chocolate"
Speaker 2You know well, things have happened this week was really weird, but anyways, we can talk about that in some ransom rambling if I want to. So so it's gonna be beckham's song chocolate, here we go. All right, hey, that bass is insane his voice is smooth like chocolate smooth like chocolate. You're my chocolate. Yeah, the jazzy piano.
Speaker 1Yeah no, this is definitely like a soulful. He's trying to butter you up, chocolate you up, sweeten you up and oh, the accent on some violins there.
Speaker 2Just a little bit. I like that little sound on the back.
Speaker 1Do-do-do-do-do. Yeah, it's that sort of dreamy whimsical.
Speaker 2It's not really a flute, it's just something electronic.
Speaker 1Yeah, I was trying to think of what it was. It's like a little jazzy, a r&b, a little bit of soul. Oh the little this song is making me smile all through well, I think he just said bring some spice to the game he's like make me happy.
Speaker 2He's making me happy like chocolate, because I love chocolate. This is so good.
Speaker 1You're so sweet and bitter. Well, it's interesting because think of all the things you can do with chocolate, like it can be spicy, it can be sweet, it can be bitter, very strong or subtle.
Speaker 2You know, chocolate is not really sweet when you you know at first, yeah Well, chocolate is just bitter, bitter.
Speaker 1Yeah, pure chocolate, dark chocolate versus milk chocolate, you know yeah, it's like you know the you're like chocolate, you have first, you're a little bitter.
Speaker 2You know what we still I still talking, you know I talk to you. We go out more. You get sweeter and sweeter. Oh, like you know, I know you it's. You're bitter now, you know, but you're going out with me. You're bitter now, you know, but keep going out with me.
Speaker 1You're going to get all sweet and mellow and like, yeah, yeah, it was just interesting because the spicy in there and then the sweet and the bitter and yeah, you're like chocolate, just smooth and rich. His voice is like chocolate, smooth and rich, so is like chocolate, smooth and rich, so I like that exo members voices are so good.
Speaker 2Their voices are so good like hello kai, oh I know. Beckham, oh, come on, dio has, like he's on all another powerhouse his voice. Oh my god, uh, it's, you know. And that's a group. When you hear their songs it's like blown away. You get blown away. I mean, it's another powerhouse group that's been around the kpop oh yeah so you know, doing their solo songs, it's just like I'm gonna do my thing. You know that's great and we're getting some really good, really good solo projects and I'm loving it absolutely that was.
Speaker 1That was very different from the first song we listened to like totally different vibe, but I really I was really getting into it, just sort of being like oh yeah, oh yeah, the production is awesome I mean, yeah, it's just, it's very catchy, without being like I don't know it's different, it's not as mainstream sounding as a lot of stuff has been.
Speaker 1You know, a lot of things have been sort of I don't want to say generic, but they've been very much all running along the same line. This one sort of breaks out of that. It's a little different sounding. I like it. I agree, I like it.
Speaker 2So, continuing to the K-pop, I have been waiting for this girl group for a while. They have now rebranded themselves to Idol and we saw them as G-Idol. Yeah, I was going to say dropping the G, yeah, new beginning. Kudos to the girls. Well, the ladies, you know, they're now ladies.
Speaker 1Well, they're still touted as a girl group. They are definitely.
Speaker 2So the song that we are going to listen and chat about will be good things all right.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, start right off with the attitude they're giving me avril lavigne and kasha vibes.
Speaker 2And oh, kasha, they're giving me who. Avril lavigne and Kesha vibes? Oh, kesha, they're giving me, avril who. Avril Levine and Kesha vibes.
Speaker 1Definitely Like strong, a little angry, yep.
Speaker 2Goodbye, baby. Baby, like you know that kiss on it.
Speaker 1You can kiss off Exactly, holy moly shit dumb and dumb. Oh, I like hey, but you don't know what you're missing goodbye baby.
Speaker 2My, it's like sounds like this guy break up with them yeah and they're just like whatever you know.
Speaker 1Well, it's because they're saying I heard you're a good thing, good thing, good thing, holy moly, she awesome, song eight. So it's sort of like uh well, I heard you're a good thing, but I've learned differently, so goodbye, you know what right it's? This is really sort of like a f?
Speaker 2you song to some guy my time.
Speaker 1You're like yeah, whatever like yeah, everybody says you're a good thing, but I'm not so sure Exactly, exactly. And you think you're a good thing, but I'm not so sure, right? No, it's definitely. It's a good sort of like almost a breakup song, or more, just like a. You know, I'm not even going to bother with you.
Speaker 2Right, it sounds like this is just like the beginning of dating stages and it's like I'm really not gonna be investing on you. Or maybe it was the first date and it's like oh no, yeah, I sunk so many red flags with you. I am uh, yeah, because it didn't sound like oh my god, I spent so many years with you and this is how you're treating me.
Speaker 1This is more like I'm meeting you for the first time and it's like no yeah, yeah, exactly, because you know everybody says you're the shit and I don't think you are there you go.
Speaker 2That's good. I like this. I don't think we have heard any songs that are like first date I think no, they're usually like oh my god, it's been so many years and or or we never dated.
Speaker 1I've just been pining after you, right? Yeah, this one seems sort of like. Well, everybody said you're great and that we'd be good together, and I don't agree exactly oh awesome, this is awesome, this is.
Speaker 2I like this take.
Speaker 1Yeah, it is.
Speaker 2I like this take. Like I said, I don't remember even hearing a song. That's like a first date or a first time meeting somebody that you hear like he's a wonderful, he's a bleh bleh, bleh, bleh. Oh no, no.
Speaker 1Yeah, this is definitely a. You didn't make a good first impression on her right, it's like no babble. You're not really what I expected, ah I like this, I like that a lot yeah, these girls. They've. They've just got great voices. I they do from day one. I've loved their stuff, oh me too.
Speaker 2I know they have getting to see them and, oh my god, their stage presence is amazing.
Speaker 1That was one that was like we talked about them ages ago, one of our like first five, six episodes. We talked about them too because they've just been, you know, doing their thing and and keep plugging away.
Speaker 2This is another group that's had their ups and downs, but they have not stopped doing what they're doing. I'm glad about the rebranding and the new beginning. Kudos to the girls. Mm-hmm, definitely Idol, idol, yay, love you.
Speaker 1All right.
VANNER's Sweet "Goodbye and Hello"
Speaker 2So definitely idol, idol, yay, love you all right. So, uh, still with the k-pop. Okay, we're gonna go for um vayner. Actually, um, there's a new song that spotify said it's called goodbye and hello. I have not heard this one either. Oh, okay, goodbye, hello, it could be a ballad.
Speaker 1You you picked. I have it at random at random.
Speaker 2Yes, all right, because I just see them like oh, they dropped something, okay hey so here we go for me it's gonna be vayner and the song is goodbye and hello.
Speaker 1Very sweet start Slow.
Speaker 2It's a ballad.
Speaker 1Focusing on the vocals at the beginning there.
Speaker 2But not like a sunburst ballad.
Speaker 1You know it's slow, but I mean not like oh yeah, no, no, no, but I mean, it's just it, it's not even like chocolate started. You know, this is even more laid back oh, awesome vocals, I was gonna say good harmonizing, yes, goodbye and hello again yeah, I like the rap kind of cute.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's just soft and someone throwing a yeah in there, yeah, just to give it a little bit of that spice, but not much just a little bit of build up there to whoever that sweet vocal was.
Speaker 2We have our high pitch voice right now. Oh, oh, it's hard to say goodbye, but I think this is more like hey, nice to see you. I mean I can't, you know, awesome, you know, I haven't seen you in so long and yeah, yeah, oh, these are like memories being built, or memories being had, and or like yeah, seeing each other again and reminiscing about stuff, because they're like hello again.
Speaker 2It's a lot of korean. So, yeah, we can't we pick up some of the english, but oh, the harmony right there that yeah, that's beautiful wow so sweet geez has a bit of like gospel to it. You know has some like soul.
Speaker 1So goodbye and hello again yeah yeah, it's definitely. This is uh getting together again, sort of just running into each other.
Speaker 2Reunion song you know like we reunite and hang out and then, but everybody just goes to separate ways. Anyways, it's like yeah, yeah, no not, it's like a friendship thing, you know, or yeah, just reflecting on yeah on the, the shared experiences and memories.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's very, it's a very thoughtful song, yeah, and very just sweet, and I don't know it's it was. It was nice, it was comforting. I didn't, I didn't feel there was no sadness.
Speaker 2Yeah, I didn't.
Speaker 1I didn't feel regretful about anything.
Speaker 2It wasn't it has like sense of friendship angry or bitter, it was just yeah right sense of friendship community.
Speaker 1You know it's togetherness and sort of sort of like a, a reuniting, like yeah we may not always be together, but when we are, everything's good yeah we just have a good time till we gotta say goodbye again or hello again. You know right, yeah, no, it was just very relaxing.
Speaker 2Yeah, just a nice steady sound their voices are beautiful, oh my god, their harmonies, wow, yeah, that was some parts. It's just like wow, listen to that. It's just like gives you goosebumps because they're like the harmonies were beautiful they were so beautiful definitely a very comforting song yeah that's what you said comfort yeah, it's just oh nice.
Speaker 1And yeah, you didn't, didn't feel anxious about it or upset, just, it was just a nice, steady, smooth sound yeah, we were swaying.
Speaker 2We're like yeah that was so.
Speaker 1Yeah, we have our lighters out definitely one that you put out your phone light yeah, yeah, now everybody, it's a phone, light it used to used to be lighter trying to think back at that, dating ourselves here back when you had lighter exactly even if you didn't smoke, you brought a lighter oh my god, yeah, no, they stopped that people was like we don't do that anymore.
Speaker 2We use our phones like what's wrong with you? Oh man, last but not least, uh number. I dropped uh god I, I believe on may 19, so we have. I know this is one of them that we wanted to talk about, but we haven't, you know anyway, life got in the way. Yes, of course adulting comes first, you know, and um, there's many songs in there, with this one that I like. Well, I heard it first. I've heard it once, so this will be the second time listening to it Okay.
Speaker 2But you know, I'm like, yeah, it's going to be this one. I do like the title. The name of the song is Psycho and I'm like this got to deliver because this is, come on, the name of the song is know already, psycho it's gonna be. We're gonna be listening to number eyes, psycho.
Speaker 1hey bam, there's already a party yeah, we talk about guilty pleasure right off the beat, that's insane party wonderland.
Speaker 2What a beat hit it. Oh, oh, oh yeah, hey, mm-hmm.
Speaker 1Let it burn. This is like such an awesome club song Wow.
Speaker 2All I want to do is dance. Ooh, this song's hitting hard, showing that voice.
Speaker 1Wow, that like echoey.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, Production I'm loving. Come on, Kishi.
Speaker 1Yeah, just want to dance Rock that shit Did you hear that?
Speaker 2just want to dance rock. That shit did you hear that the what rock that shit.
Speaker 1Oh, oh, my god are they tripping or dripping?
Speaker 2they're doing everything time's ticking.
Speaker 1Whoa Wow, oh my God.
Speaker 2This is so like.
Speaker 1This is intense. Do you remember, like the mid 90s, there was a band called the Faint no?
Speaker 2I'm sure if I hear this single I'll be like oh, I can't remember now.
Speaker 1This is sort of like them.
Speaker 2Giving you that.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's like clubhouse. Oh yeah, this is insane dark psycho. It is psycho, dark that's that that song is wow, that's a psycho.
Speaker 2That's just so crazy. It is crazy.
Speaker 1This song is crazy I liked it, though, like in that weird, uh in the middle, the you have to listen to this with headphones, people, because some of the stuff they do production-wise, the way the sound moves from one side to the other across. Yeah, wow, wow, I love that. That's awesome, wow, exactly Awesome, wow, exactly Well, and I'm pretty sure that I did listen to it, but again, in the car is completely different than putting on headphones and listening to it and actually like focusing on it. Yeah, I was just moving the whole time. This is a party song.
Speaker 2This is a party song. Oh yeah, this is a party song. Yeah, everybody's vocals were amazing. I'm not I'm saying that to everybody's. You know songs here, but is this is a different take? You know, actually you know that I love kishi's demented rap.
Speaker 1This was oh, yeah, yeah, this is a little bit different.
Speaker 2It still has that. You know that delivery he's got that voice but I, oh my god, it's like it's different it was a different demented rap.
Speaker 1It was different well, it was more, it was a little subdued, yeah, like a little more psycho, yeah like, not just not just insane, like in your face.
Speaker 2Right, this was like.
Speaker 1I'm calculating, I am psycho.
Speaker 2Yes, and of course we got our lovely show's voice. Oh, I know right when he hits that and you're like oh yeah, this show, omg, omg. Oh my God, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1Well, and Jin is the bridge between them, right? You know what I mean. Like he's sort of that. He brings a different flavor to the vocals that middle ground to the extremes in sound that they have.
Speaker 2He does right, he just brings that, like I said, different flavor to the vocals. You know which we love about their vocals each of them are completely different. They know what they have and they bring it. You know, and they bring it. Uh, so you know, we have been very happy about this trio, since they half debuted it and because I was just looking at something I I need to let you I don't know if you- knew this or you saw this Go ahead.
Speaker 1Kishi produced this.
Speaker 2I know somebody produced one of the songs, so Kishi did this one. Yes, there you go.
Speaker 1Psycho. Well, we talked about this before. When we've been talking about these guys, it's that they've been very hands on with the music. They've taken turns writing things, they've taken turns producing things, but this one is Kishi and I.
Speaker 2You can tell, has he? I think I know this is me with my you know mentality that we I have always said that he has that demented rap the way that he just likes to project on when, you know, when he delivers his rap lyrics.
Speaker 2Like I said, did he listen? Did he heard me saying I like his demented rap, I like how he delivers, how he does things? He's saying I like his demented rap, I like how he delivers, how he does things. Is that the way he, at least for this song he produced, wanted, I mean, psycho? Is the name of the song being demented? Is you know, being a psycho? Yes, you know. So he's like I want to take some hints, you know, from this and just run with it.
Speaker 2And he just ran with it and it's a really good song it is wow, oh my god, you know, oh my god. Thank you, kishi. That was amazing, wow. And I think they know each of them have actually got hands on on some other songs here actually on the previous album they did as well, yeah yeah, so that's.
Speaker 1I think that, um, this has just been really good for them yes the three of them breaking away and doing their own thing exactly has been like I don't know. You can just hear it, you can feel it, you can see it. Yeah, if you follow them on social media, like check out their stuff on on instagram, and they just have a good time all the time.
Speaker 2You know, it was bound to happen for them to just do their own thing. Start at something new. It's a new beginning being, you know under to be, and kudos to them. I know that when that whole thing that they broke out, from the other company and the other than the group that they were in and people were having you know a meltdown and I do understand because you know you get invested in a group yeah, you don't want things to change.
Speaker 2You don't want nothing to change. You know you want things to stay how they are. But you know people get bored, people get they're not doing what they're doing and you want your artists to be happy exactly. Things are not there and you're not happy. You gotta break it up. That's why there's divorces. They're messy, but guess what, sometimes it just has to happen. You know you're not helping in a relationship, you're not helping the situation that you are.
Speaker 1You gotta move on, you know so I'm so happy this is amazing that, wow, yeah, that was just incredible. Yeah, all of these songs have been incredible in completely different ways. Yes, just some amazing artists, wow, some old, some new, yeah, yeah, wow, some good choices today.
Wrapping Up and Looking Forward
Speaker 2Panic, very good, thank you so you know, on the show notes we're gonna leave information for all these, you know know artists and the songs so you can go check it out. Put it on your own playlist if you like this song and, of course, follow them. Check them out. Yeah, you know, there's other songs in their roster too, look through their whole catalog of music.
Speaker 1Because all of these groups or individuals who were part of groups, we, when we look at artists, we go back and we're like, oh, did you know they were part of this and part of that. You know, that's just how we work. So if you go, even with the solo artists, and look back at who they were with and what they did, you know you're gonna you'll find other stuff that you probably will like you know what I mean it's like you just go down this rabbit hole of finding more right just like takanori.
Speaker 1You know, this is just one of his many, many, many, many songs, I mean he's been in the industry since many incarnations of who he is and the music he does, so he's one that has been around since the 90s.
Speaker 2You know he, so he has plenty of songs and music and collaborations.
Speaker 1He's a lot older than I thought he is, oh he yeah oh yeah, he's 55. Yeah, yeah, I did not.
Speaker 2Well, you know it's he's dateable, very dateable, very, very, but he's married for the second time.
Speaker 1Yes, he is yes, he is, but I just I was sort of surprised because I remember yeah, abingdon boy school you know you look at him.
Speaker 2I forget how long he doesn't age, he does not age, he's one that likes to keep himself fit. Uh, he eat, you know, I'm assuming he eats. Well, he, you know he's reg. I don't even know when, I know his regimen, for his beauty regimen. I mean, we thought damaras was like, oh my goodness, I like. How about him? You know, because I know I just the man looks like he never ages, he still looks in.
Speaker 1Well, I think it's because I have this whole I don't know like I forget that time has moved. So when we think of some of the artists that we've been following for a long time, like I remember thinking, oh, they were babies when I first discovered them not as in me personally discovered, but like when I started listening to them. But I'm like, well, they weren't actually, it's just I came about some of their stuff. This is the rabbit hole I'm talking about. You go back and you start finding stuff and it's like, oh wait, they're not as young as I thought. It's just because when I started listening to their stuff, I was listening to their younger things, not realizing that time moves. Well, look at the, you know the girl.
Speaker 2You know girl group that we just discussed Idol now. Before it was G Idol. The G was for girls but you know, they rebranded themselves saying we're not that young anymore, we're ladies. Now we're women.
Speaker 1We're dropping the g and it's gonna be idol you know well, I mean what they debuted like seven years ago, wow, uh, because they were pretty new still when we saw them at uh 2017 or 2016. I want to say they did oh, really, because I thought they were still fairly new when we saw them at k-con yeah, yeah, k-con, it's more for like debuted but still new yeah exception for monster x is gonna be in k-con. Oh, now you know our monster x, because that's like a comeback.
Speaker 2Yeah, there's something different with okay, okay enough. Um. So you know, and vayner's been around for a while too, and you know they're trying to get their footing back. Well, now we got becky. He's been, you know, the members of exo have been doing their own thing. So you know it's evolving.
Speaker 1As an artist, you know oh yeah, no, definitely, and that's so, and that's what the guys in number I all these people, all these bands, all these solo projects that we people they're all have evolved yes, definitely everybody has evolved and they have come out with amazing music. Yes, they all started in one place and have moved on to a new place. Yeah, and it's all good, it's all good.
Speaker 2Awesome.
Speaker 1Well, we hope you enjoyed this and we hope you enjoy these songs. Definitely check them out. Yes, please check this show notes and always use headphones. We can't tell you enough, always use headphones.
Speaker 2And if you do in a safe place, please, yeah, yeah, not in the car not in the car.
Speaker 1If you listen to it in the car, it'll be a totally different experience. The music's still good, but, like I said, get yourself home, kick back with your favorite beverage snack, put on your headphones and listen to this music, because it's just incredible, yep wow.
