Music creates stories, and sometimes those stories unfold in unexpected ways. In this episode, see how five recent singles from diverse K-pop and J-pop artists create a complete relationship arc when experienced together – from fiery beginnings to vulnerable endings.

Kicking things off BABYMONSTER's spicy summer anthem "HOT SAUCE," brings back 80s MC hip-hop vibes while showcasing YG Entertainment's talent for creating girl groups with attitude. Featuring brass-like synths and old-school hip-hop beats it's an irresistible soundtrack for summer parties and pool gatherings. Next, we explore KARD's sultry "Touch" from their eighth mini-album, delving into how this co-ed group's distinct vocal dynamics create a magnetic listening experience where each member shines individually while still creating perfect harmony.

The journey continues with WONHO's comeback "Better Than Me," his mesmerizing vocals and confident delivery remind listeners why he remains a solo powerhouse. The musical relationship deepens as we transition to more gentle territory with two members of ORβIT (performing solo). よんふん's (Younghoon) dreamy "Lovestruck," whose gentle, laid-back production creates an almost ethereal atmosphere that feels like floating on cotton candy clouds, and 安藤诚明's (Ando Tomoaki) heartfelt "Never Enough," where he delivers a raw, emotionally charged performance that immediately draws listeners in with its unexpected vulnerability.

What makes these selections particularly fascinating is how they unintentionally create a narrative – from the confident flirtation of new romance through deepening connection and eventual uncertainty.

Welcome and Show Introduction

Speaker 1

Hello everybody, welcome to another episode of Music Elixir with me, sarah, and.

Speaker 2

Miss DJ Panic. I'm looking at Sarah and putting a silence and she's like what? No saying anything right away.

Speaker 1

The dramatic pause and of course that makes you sound like a villain.

Speaker 2

Are we done with our Pisces, done with their villain? Face?

Speaker 1

you started it with that I don't know. No, I think our villain era goes through the end of this year, is it okay?

Speaker 2

well, you know, my dream says it all. Oh yes, I I had to tell sarah a dream of which I'm not going to discuss here, but it was just very interesting. I said to her I had a dream that turned into a premonition.

Speaker 1

I was like, for some reason, I just had to paint you as the villain that you never were. Jk's hate you song. But when we were talking about villain and villain era, that came into my head okay, but this is how my brain works. Yeah, I know, it's like a word creates this image of 20 different things. Yeah, like there's a chain of possibilities, yes, and then one just jumps out and says here, I'm what you were looking for, even though it may not be what I was looking for. So sorry, I get sidetracked so easily.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Well, you know it happens to me too.

Speaker 1

Like you know, a word will trigger something and it's like oh, but it's almost always musical, like I have to be able to sing, whatever it's always a music related.

Speaker 2

I knew, I knew it's funny. It's funny. Well, well, now that you said that, what are we doing today is a music related, uh, episode yes, I'm blanking out again.

Speaker 1

we're gonna do some singles, yes.

Speaker 2

So I thought that the breakfast I had today was good enough, but I guess not.

Speaker 1

I made myself. Was there protein involved?

Speaker 2

I made myself because we have all the ingredients in English breakfast.

Speaker 1

Oh nice, Besides the egg. So like sausage, beans, grilled mushrooms, no it was like really low.

Speaker 2

Well, not all the ingredients, but I had the British beans, the Heinz beans, okay, toast, bacon and tomato, oh, okay. So I was like, oh, I got all the ingredients for an English toast.

Speaker 1

Well, with a section of the sausage, you know, but yeah, well, I mean you sausage, you know, but yeah, well, I mean you know you can do variations of it.

Speaker 2

Now I'm like I think I need something else. I didn't eat lunch yet. Yeah, I didn't either. Anyways, you know, I have a food and shenanigans, but we have food?

Speaker 1

Well, it's because we get easily sidetracked.

Speaker 2

like I said, we're something just you know brings more stuff into the mix oh, we went to another concert. Everybody, oh, yeah, we went to another concert. We'll talk about that later. Yeah, yeah, we will. Right now we're gonna do singles.

Speaker 1

yes, like I said, some, some new, some a little overdue, just maybe a week or so, or maybe two weeks older, but that's okay. Well, that's what happens to us again we get sidetracked.

Speaker 2

Date stamp July 5th. Happy belated 4th of July, I know girl.

Speaker 1

Already July Dang, I know.

Speaker 2

I can't believe that we're half a year already. Half a year has already gone.

Speaker 1

I went a month and a half of working only four days a week because of all the stuff we did. I knew From the end of May through this first week of July.

Speaker 2

That is true. We had the same work schedule. That is true.

Speaker 1

We have the same work schedule Between holidays and concerts and everything else.

Speaker 2

Yes, I haven't worked a full week in a month and a half.

Speaker 1

Lady the nurses are like don't take another day off, and I'm like wait until July, wait until July.

Speaker 2

You guys are going to have a cow, so I'm trying to leave as much instructions out there for people so they can do my job Well it was funny, honest, we'll get to the music soon, but I actually had my work review recently.

Speaker 1

You did, yes, Glowing, but anyway, afterwards we were sort of just talking about stuff and I was mentioning how we were going to a show because she was like, oh, I see, you have Friday off, you know doing something fun. And I was like, oh yeah. So I explained and I was like, you know, for for most people summer's beach season, yeah, I was like for me and my friends it's concert it's concert season we don't.

Speaker 1

we don't go to the beach, we go to shows. Yeah, a lot of shows, oh yeah, so anyway, she got a laugh out of that, yeah she. She was like, well, have fun, and we did. Oh yeah, but again we'll talk about that later.

Speaker 2

Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 1

All right. I don't know what order we're talking about, okay, so okay, I think you told me and I already forgot.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I had a certain order that I send you, and then that has changed. We just made a change.

Speaker 1

Yeah, last minute switch up.

Speaker 2

Yeah, sarah pointed out something to me and I'm like I thought we did. Okay, no, no problem, yeah, let's put that in there. Anyways, so we're going to talk about this girl group from YG. We have talked about their debut song. Yes, we did so. This is for baby monster, their newest song, hot sauce, of course, hot sauce, yeah. So, um, I don't know how. I wanted to check how much streaming they're getting. Oh man, there's already two million streams.

Baby Monster's "Hot Sauce"

Speaker 1

This came out on july 1st, hey, and it's already, yeah, wow yeah, 2.6 million wow go, girls definitely, I know and you know well wedgie talent, especially the females.

Speaker 2

They're as good, even sometimes better, than the males. Hello, look at Blackpink.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

So kudos to Blackpink.

Speaker 1

Baby Monster, baby Monster.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I'm getting tongue-tied. I don't know. I was mixing names before.

Speaker 1

Well, it's just, you know when you're thinking of one thing but you're talking about something else, you know you're like who's the other girl group, Blackpink?

Speaker 2

So about something else, you know, you're like who's the other girl group black pink. So that's just what comes out. So so, so, so, so, so, all right. But so, baby monster, baby monster, are you ready? Hot sauce?

Speaker 1

all right, here we go oh, it's immediately catchy, this is bringing it back to the 80s.

Speaker 2

Definitely it has the like MC rap.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, you know type.

Speaker 2

I like this Too, addicted to hot cheetos.

Speaker 1

Hey Well, they're mentioning all the spicy foods here, because they are like hot sauce.

Speaker 2

And again another song that is old English. Yes, it is Lately.

Speaker 1

that's what we have been experiencing a lot of english song coming out of the k-pop industry I think, um, well, we mentioned before, they're trying to sort of broaden the appeal because, as we've said, that seems to be a block for a lot of people if they don't understand it. So maybe they're trying to.

Speaker 2

Which we always say that will be us.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you know that's a you problem, apparently, but it does make it easier for us to be like, hey, we know what this song is about yeah, they're listening to it, they can sing to it.

Speaker 2

But you can still sing to it if it's just hot sauce, the chorus being in English to it.

Speaker 1

If it's just hot sauce, the chorus being in english, come on, yeah, but no, this is fun. They got.

Speaker 2

They got a lot of brass that like you were saying that 80s mc sound a scratch.

Speaker 1

It's a mix of so many things. I love that. Pom, pom, pom.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah, it's like super synth and yeah, old school hip-hop beat machine yeah, old school hip-hop all the way through and through, from the production to the like vocals and the rapping.

Speaker 1

Yeah, everything delivery all the, all those sounds, all those electronic beats and the. It sounds almost like brass, but you know it's the synth. I mean that's, that's just wild. And I love the. The attitude. Yeah, that's what these girls bring. They're like hot sauce, man. Yeah, we're spicy. You can't handle what they got fun, of course.

Speaker 2

Great summer anthem another one for this summer, because it's hot, hot sauce. Listen to this while you're eating chicken wings hot chicken wings, hot cheetos, like she was saying. Well, I was gonna say, yeah, they got the cheetos, the wasabi, the jalapeno sauce, I know anything spicy the chicken wings, what else? Uh the pokey, oh, that's spicy.

Speaker 1

So they're spicy and they're saucy. Yeah, oh yeah, and they're sassy too.

Speaker 2

There you go cool song.

Speaker 1

It's fun. You can't handle what I got exactly hot sassiness, sassiness to the core it's. Yeah, it's super catchy and that's a good one to just sort of like, yeah, pop on your put in there pop on your headphones or put in your ear pods ear plug, you know, whatever the hell you use.

Speaker 2

When you're having that pool party and go for a walk.

Speaker 1

Well, I mean, that would be a good one. That's a good like energy power walk kind of thing. You know, go out and get some fresh air for yourself.

Speaker 2

But, yes, definitely at a party pool party, beach party, you know, get together turn it up on the the uh car stereo. Oh yeah, that's a good one to cruise around. Cruise around those who can't cruise around the beach. Yeah, make sure nobody calls the cop on you because it's too loud.

Speaker 1

Just you know know where you're gonna blast this. Well you know, maybe if you go park at the beach and have your own little party there, yeah, people might still call the cops because oh my god, that just reminds me of like fort lauderdale beach a1.

Speaker 2

When everybody parks their trucks and they're just sitting on the bed and they have the stereo and they're just sitting there, drinking, blasting their music Anywhere you've got a beach.

Speaker 1

That happens, yes, I can see that when I grew up.

Speaker 2

I can see that.

Speaker 1

Okay, oh my.

Speaker 2

God, all right. Next song. Sure, okay, oh, my god, all right. Next song. Sure, we're going to talk about a very hot, hot, hot co-ed group card which, by the way, well, we'll talk about that later, but we're gonna talk only about card.

CARD's Sultry Single "Touch"

Speaker 1

Card has been around for years, years all right, we're gonna talk only about card. What card?

Speaker 2

card has been going around years. Yeah, no, I know, but you leave it like that. Okay, because I was gonna say something, but I'm gonna leave it as a secret oh, okay for another episode, oh okay, anyways. So card drop a wow, their eighth mini album, girl, girl, eighth mini album. That's how long this group has been around. I have I still calling out come to Boston. What's wrong with you?

Speaker 1

Card. Come on, they tried. And then, what do you mean? They tried. They remember they were going to be on tour, weren't they? Yeah?

Speaker 2

but they were not coming to Boston. Oh, I thought they were.

Speaker 1

No girl, no, no, new York, no, no, no, because I keep bitching at them that how come you don't have any Boston dates, girl?

Speaker 2

if I knew we were coming to Boston, we would have got tickets, but no, we had no tickets. If there was no tickets involved, it means that they were not coming over here.

Speaker 1

Ah, okay, well, no, we talked about it coming to boston? No, but they were going to be in new york. Yeah, but we're not going to go to new york. We wanted boston. Well, we always want boston.

Speaker 2

Jeez, yes, that's nothing new yes, which I'm going to put in here. I know we're not talking about card now, but now I'm going to talk about this. Jackson wang is going to boston.

Speaker 1

I know, I saw that like that was so spur of the moment random listen.

Speaker 2

I was just, you know, my morning scroll of what's going on and I see this Jackson Wang coming to Newberry Comics Vinyl Hall for a photo op. I'm like what? So I go in there. So you needed to pre-order either the CD or the vinyl to to have the photo op, and there were only 500 tickets oh 500 spots available only 500 wow, I'm like yeah I'm like what, how, how come I didn't get this, how come I didn't was not notified?

Speaker 2

I I got notified the following day. Yeah, I was going to say and then when I went to check sold out and I'm like what Now? But then I was thinking, you know, this is like in the middle of the week. I already have taken.

Speaker 1

I know, yeah, I saw that. I'm like it's on a. Wednesday.

Speaker 2

I know, I know and I'm so sad. What?

Speaker 1

the heck Like. This is something that's been supposedly you know already planned. Like surprise to us a day late. It's ridiculous. That's the problem with all the stupid algorithms.

Speaker 2

I was like so man, so man.

Speaker 1

But I was going to say he's kind of you know, I mean he's really sort of an introvert and a little anxious around people. So I think 500 is kind of a lot for him to have to deal with in a day. Anyway. Yeah, but like I don't, know.

Speaker 2

Okay, so because it was sold out. I had no idea how did that work, was it? You can only pre-order one or you can pre-order multiple. Oh, see what I mean. So, like I don't know what happened, is it only like pre-order either CD or vinyl, only one per person? I didn't see that.

Speaker 1

Well, I think you could probably order one of each, but you'd still only get one entry.

Speaker 2

But can you order more than one vinyl and one CD?

Speaker 1

I don't know. I'd have to look at their little rules. I'll have to.

Speaker 2

Yeah, I didn't look, I was just. I was still mad because I missed it. I was mad, I was mad, I was mad. All right, anyways so anyways, but card, okay, card Card. We're going to talk about Card. They're single, they're single. That came out, which is Touch, which is very hot too. Anyways, are you ready?

Speaker 1

I'm ready, it's a really smooth open.

Speaker 2

Those girls are on fire and, of course, bm always on fire. Oh yeah, I love his voice.

Speaker 1

I was going to say, though the girls were very smooth there, oh, yeah, I love these girls, vocals, vocals.

Speaker 2

They're always sultry. Yeah, yeah, you know they have that deepness, oh, but sometimes they can get into that. I'm on your face, you know like, yeah, they're like zoom in Jiwoo. Yeah, girls, go for it.

Speaker 1

Love, love, love this has got a really good like beat to it. You know what I mean.

Speaker 2

Joseph. Joseph is giving me this like Eminem vibes with his vocals.

Speaker 1

A little better.

Speaker 2

And Eminem is a little bit more whiny, but he's just like well, he's there to like you know.

Speaker 1

Well, because BM's got that Big, matthew he's got that deep, deep and Joseph is like I don't know, he's smooth. I like the way all of their voices complement each other. The girls work really well together, but also stand individually and same with the guys, and then the whole mix. This is another song. A lot of English in it.

Speaker 2

Yeah, this is another English.

Speaker 1

Majority is English. They got a couple of Going. They lot of English in it. Yeah, this is another English. Majority is English. They got a couple of Going. They threw some French in there.

Speaker 2

Ooh, joseph, yeah, they're like just sultry. Ooh yeah yeah yeah, ooh. Well, this song is sultry, you know it is hot.

Speaker 1

Well, all you need is one touch.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah. Yeah like what you see I got what you need.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, one touch. Oh yeah. Oh yeah, exactly, that's like the way their voices work together, but like they're complementary, but they're very distinct from each other. Yes, and I don't know, it's just.

Speaker 2

Yeah, they blend really well this is a co-ed group that I want to say the western side love. I don't know how popular they are in korea, but at least for shit what it is. This side over here we're looking in the north america, central america, even south america forget it. They love, oh, yeah, love this group. I mean, jeez, it's, it's a co-ed group that I love so much and I'm so happy that they still together to this day. You know eighth mini album. They've been around. Yeah, it's been years. I don't know. They should be more popping over here in the us we're working on it.

Speaker 1

I know we're telling you touch. This is like a hot, it's a hot song. It's a very good comeback yeah, it is very, very good, very good comeback I wish they were gonna come here on tour, but they aren't. They, I think like that's like the because when they were supposed to come last year, that was like the second time they've had an issue coming here in the past few years.

Speaker 2

Yeah, that was messed up. Yeah To visa issues and, like you announced, this concert tour, this tour, for how many months?

Speaker 1

A long time and that happening?

Speaker 2

Yeah, that was weird.

Speaker 1

Mm-hmm, very, but hey, you, you know, these things happen, we'll, we'll see what, see what comes.

Speaker 2

You know, yeah, if it's not now, it'll be later, it'll probably be even better. Okay, another boo that we want him to come to Boston. Even family said, if he's coming to Boston, I'm going to want to go. Oh really, oh, yeah, I'm like really Okay, they're like yes, yes, I want to see him, I want to see him. And who are we talking about? It will be one of them.

Speaker 1

Oh my God, Our.

Speaker 2

Pisces baby, oh my God, Our Pisces baby, oh my God. The one who's allergic to fabric, and he's proven it yet again, wow. So allergic to fabric? If you're not following his Instagram, where have you been?

Speaker 1

Where have you been Exactly, where have you been exactly? It's this, I think I, in the past few weeks, I've seen one thing where he actually had a shirt on kind of a shirt though right in quote unquote well, no, no, no, it was. It was a real shirt, he had a real shirt, he. It was like a dance practice, dance challenge with someone else, okay.

Speaker 2

So maybe he thought he didn't want to date it right, let me just let me else, okay?

Speaker 1

so maybe he thought he'd be intimidated, right, let me just let me cover up.

Speaker 2

So, so he suffered through wearing a shirt for this particular he just did it, so he doesn't overpower his shine, his cast, and I'm loving the blonde hair I do.

Speaker 1

I love the blonde hair.

Speaker 2

I like it when he has the colors too. Yes, you know he looked good with blue for sure, and who?

Speaker 1

am I kidding?

Speaker 2

he looks good all the time I like his little skits that he's been doing. There was one that I was like eh, eh, nani.

Speaker 1

Oh my goodness, he's just trying to get everybody thinking.

Speaker 2

Oh, too hot, this boy, this boy, yes, okay.

Speaker 1

And the way he smirks, though. Yeah, when he does it like, yeah, I'm like, yeah, boo, he's always done that, always done that the little oh yeah, I know what I'm doing, oh, he's english.

Wonho's Comeback "Nobody Does It Better"

Speaker 2

He's so cute. He's like, hey, I have a new album. I'm like, oh, look at, yes, you've been practicing, that's awesome. Yay, kudos to you. All right, all right. So we're going to listen and chat about or just gawk about or just go freak. You know just cray, cray. Juan knows better than me.

Speaker 1

Ah, geez.

Speaker 2

All right, here we go. Hey, Right off the bat, he tells you Right away he's going to tell you he is not playing with this comeback. No, not playing. And again, english, again, all English.

Speaker 1

Oh my God, that he is like lulling you in his voice is so good oh wow, when it comes to you, I'm feeling confident so this discussion is gonna be going. Yes, yeah, I'm the best you'll ever have.

Speaker 2

He's so he's so mesmerizing, is he, is that's what I mean we're looking at the video he's lulling you.

Speaker 1

He's just, like his voice, smooth. All I can see is that smirk that he always had like being like. No one does it better than me.

Speaker 2

I know the production here is awesome.

Speaker 1

Oh yeah, no, this is.

Speaker 2

This is like a sort of a prowling, you know it's reminding me of one of alia's song, one of the old alia songs from back in the 90s. Oh, it's giving me that vibe of like r&b 90s, like early 90s r&b.

Speaker 1

Oh well, he's good at that. He's good at that, but, like I said, this it's also it's got a prowling feel to it, like he's crawling to you oh, nobody does it better than him, that's for sure nobody I'm the best that you'll ever have oh, I might need some. Uh, I want some proof.

Speaker 2

Show me that no, I don't know if I can take your word for it, boy. If this boy ever come in front of me, I'll be like no, no, no, it's okay, I get you, it's all right, it's all right. Boo, he's over 30, it's okay, I know, but it's just like too dangerous danger danger.

Speaker 1

No, he's always been that way, though. Yes, when he was still. For those who don't know, he was originally a member of Monsta X. We love Monsta. X we love Monsta X, loved it. When he was in Monsta X, he was my guy he was a lot of people's guy.

Speaker 2

He was family's guy too.

Speaker 1

He was my guy as well, people's guy, he was family's guy too. He was my guy as well, everybody's guy. Come on, well, you have, I am, you like, I have, I am. Actually. I like all of them too.

Speaker 2

I do, I like all of them too, because sometimes I'll be like, oh, look at rbf, he still looks cute look at shonu. Yeah, no and chuhani yeah, but no, but like, but wano was definitely, like he immediately caught my eye.

Speaker 1

Yeah, and so you know one thing how was my first love? Yeah for monsta x. How's that?

Speaker 2

one thing that I just miss from him being in mansa x is when shonu and him did collabs and they pair each other.

Speaker 1

Oh, my god, no that when we saw them and they did that little unit thing together, whoa everybody there was melting, they were done. There was puddles everywhere.

Speaker 2

Everybody was puddles everywhere because those two together oh yeah, that was like fire. Oh, that was it's so hard, it was like too much. You have to actually see this. I'm sure there's videos out there. You can see their performance yeah, oh, yeah, oh I'm still thinking about it and my I don't know I got tingles all over myself, my blood pressure just went up.

Speaker 1

Well, he's still. He's still got that they both do. But they both do, we're talking about him and right now, with this song, yeah, and this music, yeah, he's still got it. He's like, I mean, beefed up like a hundred percent from where he was.

Speaker 2

Yeah, when we I'm like, I'm like, is it because I haven't seen you in a while? But are you getting even bigger?

Speaker 1

yeah, I don't know it's crazy like yeah, just kapow muscles everywhere, yeah, and yeah, holy moly, oh, and the fact that he can still dance and move the way he does. Yeah, with that kind of muscle structure, I know, wow, I know.

Speaker 2

Besides, his physical appearance.

Speaker 1

The man has the voice, oh yeah.

Speaker 2

Has the production quality has all the oh, my God, that voice.

Speaker 1

Well, that's like the way he sings that line. No one does it better than me. Yeah, it is. I don't know. There's something that the tone, the level of sound when it hits your ears you're just like you're right. Yes, no, nobody could do it. Yeah, there is no one else, because he's singing to you and he's confident, he's strong, he's poised, he's smooth's, smooth, sultry. Everything all wrapped up in one little vocalization. It's incredible, like I said, you can see that little smirk on his face and it's not even like, you know, cocky, it's not like he's no being a smarmy jerk about it.

Speaker 1

He's like stating a fact.

Speaker 2

And very playful too.

Speaker 1

It has a bit of playfulness.

Speaker 2

You're like oh man, you're just like dang it. Yeah, we're right.

Speaker 1

You are. You can try, but you're going to realize no one does it better than me.

Speaker 2

It's like he's right, dang it, and it's like then you kind of hate yourself a little bit, but then you're like fine, yes, I do, I don't want, I'm not in, I want to be in denial. But yes, it's true. Oh, this boy, this man, 32, oh, my god, I seen you grow up, boo All right. Anyways, let's come down, let's move on to the next song. All right.

Speaker 2

This one just came out Well, not just came out, but it's yeah, kind of just came out. I think it was this week, yeah, and it's actually from one of the members from orbit, which we love, and things are happening with the group and changes are happening there. But you know, we still love the group and we, you know, I think I just said you know, whatever the other two members are, you know, doing hedge hole, hedge hole in june june yeah, if they're doing any solo things, you know I will check it out, because they're have.

Speaker 2

They're really good talent they have amazing voices. They're good talent. So, that being said, uh, their solo song by young fung, and it's, uh, we're going to talk about love struck, which is actually the headlining single for the EP, right?

Speaker 1

Yeah, well, I think it's like a mini yeah.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it's an EP.

Speaker 1

There's like three songs. Okay, yeah.

Young Hoon's Solo "Love Struck"

Speaker 2

And so the one we're discussing, which came out on July 2nd, will be Love Struck. Are you ready, miss Sarah? I am All right. Will be love stroke. Are you ready, miss sarah?

Speaker 1

I am all right all right, we're cooling down a little with this oh yeah, this is a very I don't know is it 80s or is it like early 90s sort of mellow love song yeah, it's giving me 80 vibes too, yeah it's that, that guitar yeah. It's just sort of gentle and laid back, sweet and the little whoop Dreamy.

Speaker 2

I like that Soft. Aw, he wants to be next to me. I was going to say, yeah, I want to sit alone, next to you. Another one with awesome vocals.

Speaker 1

It's like a little whisperyy, but smoky and still strong his voice can put you in a trance too.

Speaker 2

Yeah, he does. He does that trancy. You know that softness, that is just wow. Here's some japanese here. I thought it it was going to be old English, but I guess not.

Speaker 1

Well, it's a nice mix, because we heard how he's feeling about you. He's love struck.

Speaker 2

I like it when he said he's so sweet.

Speaker 1

Oh, my gosh, my love my whole life. I know Another song with really good production.

Speaker 2

Oh, I'll give you my soul.

Speaker 1

Yeah, they did a really good job mixing this, because now he's singing the high part over his own low part. It sounds really good, nice, clear vocals. Oh my God, that was such a sweet, beautiful song.

Speaker 2

He's love struck oh, that's so cute. He's so sweet. And his vocals, oh my goodness yes, very, very dreamy.

Speaker 1

Just made you sort of float on a cloud listening to him talk about everything color pink. Oh my goodness I know right, total departure from what the first songs we were listening to oh yeah, we're starting kind of harsh, hey, and then touch whoo when.

Speaker 2

You got better, better than me, rmg. And now we're like OK, this is yeah.

Speaker 1

Oh, wow, Mellow out late Lay back. Just nice Soothing music.

Speaker 2

Yes.

Speaker 1

His voice is just awesome, yes, amazing.

Speaker 2

Very smooth vocals for this song. It's just perfect for the love struck. It does have that feeling, you know. It's the whole dreaminess and like fuzziness and just softness, yeah, every like everything's just cotton candy clouds and you're just drifting along.

Speaker 1

Just a sweet, sweet sound and it's so funny Like he's the same age as Wano, the previous artist. Like the difference in how they're approaching their fans and their you know.

Speaker 2

On their solo projects.

Speaker 1

Well, Wano is a solo yeah, but wow on their solo projects. Well, one was a solo yeah, but wow. Well, and even think about orbit. This is very different than orbit sounds. Yes, I like it. I like it a lot.

Speaker 2

Very good solo outing for for old young hoon, yeah wow, he has all those other solo projects, but this one's. You know, it's been a while since he has done a solo song. So yeah, oh, this ep is well we have not. Are we gonna talk about the whole ep or we're just we're gonna do this one? We have another song which is from another member of orbit.

Speaker 2

Yes, of course, um. So we're gonna go talk about that one. But before sarah and I we were discussing because the actual thing, the the release song or the leading song for his ep was melting rain. Right, correct. So sarah goes melting rain is good, but never enough. I realized never enough. I'm like, okay, let's change that. So the playlist has changed because sarah's like never enough. I'm like okay, let's change that. So the playlist has changed because Sarah's like never enough. I want never enough. I'm like, okay, we'll do never enough.

Speaker 1

I was saying we could do Melting Rain, because we didn't ever talk about it. We mentioned that it had come out and I think we meant to talk about it and it sort of wasn't fitting with what else we were talking about. So now is the perfect opportunity to talk about his music. But yeah, I don't know why I really every time Never Enough comes on, I'm just like, yeah, this is this is the one you find, yeah.

Speaker 1

I mean Melting Rain. Oh my God, I know Right, no offense, melting rain. Oh my God, I know right. No offense, tomo, but I like the B-side. You always say the B-side. I was like it's the one.

Speaker 2

We always said that the B-side seems to be like, yeah, this one should have been leading, but hey, what can you do?

Speaker 1

We're not the producers, we're not the yeah, we're not the label company saying this is what you gotta do all right, so are you ready, miss sarah?

Speaker 2

I am. We're going to be listening to tomoaki ando's song and never enough another song right out of the bat.

Speaker 1

They started saying the lyrics sit, yeah, saying the the title of the song. This is another very gentle, just open with guitar and soulful voice.

Speaker 2

Wow, listen to his voice I'm never you know yeah wow and I think it's the reason I was drawn to this one was because it's such a like vulnerable thing yeah, I like that he just named the song never enough, but then in when he's singing it's like I'm never enough yeah it completely, gives it a different vibe or outcome to what you think is gonna be. Exactly.

Speaker 1

Yeah, oh yes, tomo, how I feel, I feel, feel in my mind yeah, there's just something about this, the way he's singing is so heartfelt, so vulnerable, so honest and open right and I love his vocals in this and another good mixing of vocals over vocal over vocal yeah, good mix.

Speaker 2

And this is all him, mm-hmm Aw.

Speaker 1

Right, I don't know. Maybe you can tell now why I was drawn to it. I was like, wow, this is just so full of emotion. You know, I just love the way it's presented, the way he delivers his lines. I mean he's just whew. Everybody knows Tomo's, my boy from.

Speaker 1

Corbett, that's why I let you talk, most's why I let you talk about it talk about your boy, but both of, but, both of these are just so good, they're so strong. Yeah, you know for from within the group, so it's just amazing. I, I love both of them. They they're great. And this song, I don't know, it just touched something in me. I was like, oh you poor boy, why do you think? You're enough? You're plenty, you're plenty, don't worry about it.

Speaker 2

There's a lot of fans who are saying you are enough, especially Sarah over here. You are enough, come on. Well, yeah, yeah, it's very touching song, very, very touching. But jeez his vocals, because there's at one point he's just like tried it's high enough, but not too high, which still touches you yeah and um again. The production was lovely.

Tomoaki Ando's Vulnerable "Never Enough"

Speaker 1

Yeah, I was gonna say this, the the tone you're talking about too was like it's like almost a pleading yeah, like he's begging you to understand yeah whatever's going on, why he feels he's never. Yeah, it's, or just telling you that.

Speaker 2

Why does he feel like he is never enough? You? Know like this is why I feel like I'm never enough. This is all in japanese, with some english yes, very minimal english um. Would love to know the actual lyrics of this song yeah, me too I'm curious did um.

Speaker 1

You know how sometimes Spotify has like Nope, not on this one, Nothing yeah. It figures so Of course not.

Speaker 2

Tomo, see if you can put the lyrics out there for everybody to see, or Earth, can you please send us?

Speaker 1

Yeah, definitely we would like to know.

Speaker 2

We would like to know.

Speaker 1

So you know, just send it over. Would like to know? So you know, just send it over. I want to know what hurt my boy tomo so much that he has to sing. He's never enough, sarah is hurting.

Speaker 2

She is hurt. Her heart feels broken. What's going on with her boo? Why is he saying I'm never enough?

Speaker 1

tomo, are you listening? Oh my god sarah is hurting.

Speaker 2

She wants to know.

Speaker 1

She loves this song I do the whole same thing. His little ep is very good as well. Yes, again though, this song. Something about it just drew me in, and I was like can we do?

Speaker 2

that I'm like sure, senpai, we'll do that, no problem. Well, we had done that before. Where we're like, I know this is the leading song come on.

Speaker 1

This was awesome you should play.

Speaker 2

Just sing it to this one, let's talk about it. So. So please, everybody, give these groups a chance if you have not heard of any you know the artists and the groups, you know we talked about baby monster and card and of course you got wano and young phone and then tomo. He's going under ando tomoaki, so he's going by his whole full name, because I guess I want to say Tomo is more for his orbit side.

Speaker 1

His persona in orbit?

Speaker 2

Yeah, definitely, and then, of course, as a solo artist he's like Tomoaki, but I'm still gonna just call him Tomoaki. Well, I know, yeah, we started knowing him by Tomo.

Speaker 1

It's hard to let go of that.

Speaker 2

And I'm sure there's a lot of fans, a lot of Earth. They're just saying the same thing Tumul, tumul. But you know, tumul, are you okay?

Speaker 1

Exactly.

Speaker 2

All right.

Speaker 1

Anyways, exactly all right, anyways, but yeah, we got. So we got some three very saucy oh yeah, sassy songs and two very heartfelt, yes, sweet. So this this is like the playlist that you're like hyped up and then the cool down yeah, just relax there's just there's a lot of sex in all these songs. Or at least yeah, you know, let's see Hot sauce.

Speaker 2

it's you coming into the club? Hey, hot sauce on the party. Hot sauce, look at me, look at me. And then hey, one touch, and what happened? No one's better than me After they catch you after that one touch, you know, hey, and then that happening. Okay, now I'm love struck. I just like, oh, I love you, I know, I just want to be with you exactly. And then, I don't know, with better it would never enough. I don't know, this was there a breakup.

Speaker 1

Well, you know, you go from the confidence and the poise all the way down to the insecure. You know, from one end to the other.

Speaker 2

I'm never enough. I don't know, I'm never enough to love you or something. I really don't know what's going on here, but now it's like never enough. We have the whole relationship just in in five songs. We just started, you know, from the beginning to end. Oh, my goodness, we always do this.

Speaker 1

I know we always do this we find a way to make a connection. Yes, yes, yes, we link them all together.

Speaker 2
