Five singles, five musical worlds. Sarah and Ms. DJ Panic take listeners on a captivating journey through recent Jpop and Kpop releases that showcase the incredible diversity within these vibrant music scenes.
The musical exploration begins with Eve's "Ghost Avenue," a mesmerizing track that effortlessly blends funk, jazz, and lo-fi elements with vocaloid influences. The seamless transitions between genres left us eagerly anticipating each new musical phrase. When the conversation shifts to THE ORAL CIGARETTES' "OVERNIGHT," prepare for a complete contrast – epic hard rock featuring intense drumming, gritty guitars, and Takuya Yamanaka's powerful vocals that literally left us speechless.
HANA's "Blue Jeans" offers a more storytelling approach, with production choices that deliberately showcase each member's unique vocals. We were so impressed by this seven-member girl group that we may be doing a deep dive into their discography in a future episode. Vaundy's "再会"(Reunion) brings theatrical rock with Queen influences and dramatic instrumental shifts, creating an almost operatic experience that combines '80s rock sensibilities with modern electronic elements.
The journey concludes with K-pop group ONEUS's "X," which immediately grabs attention with its driving bass line, catchy hook, and irresistible groove. The track's danceable quality had usmoving in our seats, demonstrating its infectious energy.
From funk to hard rock to storytelling pop to theatrical rock to danceable K-pop, there's something for every listener while expanding musical horizons. Whether you're looking for workout anthems or relaxation soundtracks, these five singles deliver experiences that will keep you coming back for more.

Summer Weather Chat
Speaker 1Welcome everybody to another episode of Music Elixir, with me, sarah and Miss DJ.
Speaker 2Panic.
Speaker 1It's another hot day out here for us, hot summer.
Speaker 2Hot hot summer.
Speaker 1Yes, it is. I don't want to think about it. I'm trying to Cool thoughts.
Speaker 2We start always with the weather, so you know what kind of season it is when you're listening to this episode. Actually, we had some really nice days. We did, you know, like I'm like this, this should be summer weather. This is like really nice. It wasn't humid, there was sun, at least where I, where I worked up in the boonies, in the hills, yeah, no, they're definitely.
Speaker 1It was probably about 10 degrees cooler for a couple of days and it was so nice because, yeah, there was also a nice gentle breeze. It was perfect, it was nice. And then, all of a sudden, it was 95 and yeah humid and nasty hazy, so you know so well. Everyone's heard us complain about how we don't like the heat.
Speaker 2No, we don't like summer, but we do want to go to islands.
Speaker 1Well, I don't mind summer. It's nice to have a period of time where it's sunny, and you know, yeah, and warmer, because our winters can also be just as opposite brutal. Five degrees is not exactly thrilling either. No, new England is like the area of extremes. We don't really get spring, we sort of get fall, but mostly it's just you know too hot or too cold.
Eve's "Ghost Avenue"
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, sort of get fall, and but mostly it's just, you know, too hot or too cold, yeah yeah, but anyways, we've been doing a lot of singles lately I know, but that's good.
Speaker 1Yeah, they're supposed to be all about, you know, the music and and the artists. We actually we should do some go back to doing a couple of deep dives and talk about bands like, yeah, in depth and cover an album, or an artist in depth and cover an album yes, we have not done that in a while.
Speaker 2No, especially for newer groups. We should do that for newer groups, for debut groups yeah, we can do that all right.
Speaker 1So that requires planning and you know, yeah, throwing out getting together.
Speaker 2So you know which one we're going to talk about, unless somebody would like to let us know you know exactly comments, google, form, anything.
Speaker 1Who you're interested in.
Speaker 2Yes, you can comment on spotify, which I have seen. You can comment also on apple podcast as well. Of course, our google form you also on x twitter on blue sky. You can find those there too, so we um also instagram. We are there too yes, we are so, yes, check us out and let us know. Hey, talk about so-and-so, it's like okay anyways. So yes, there's some five songs that actually came out this week. Today we're recording on july 26 oh my god, july 26 I know right, the month has gone by.
Speaker 2So fast, girl please. Oh my goodness, you know the family is already talking about going to nyc for christmas shopping I'm like yo planning ahead.
Speaker 1Can you wait?
Speaker 2it's. I mean it's a good idea. Can you wait?
Speaker 1till the summer is over.
Speaker 2To go to New York City in the summer. You know how bad, that is. I know. Anyways, I don't know, we'll see. I'll give you more details if that ever happens, which it probably will, but anyways, huh, so yes, actually I picked five songs. Yes, so actually I picked five songs. We discussed that a little bit at the beginning, but I picked five songs that came out last week, so we're going to talk about them. So we are going to talk about this singer-songwriter written Eve.
The Oral Cigarettes' "Overnight"
Speaker 2Yeah, it looks like e, but looking into um wikipedia, it's supposed to be pronounced ebu or evu. He's from japan, woohoo. The song that we are going to discuss is ghost avenue interesting title I like it I like it.
Speaker 1Okay, it already sounds interesting.
Speaker 2So okay, here we go.
Speaker 1Good funk opening. It starts right away.
Speaker 2Yeah, no intro in the song. Yeah, no, just vocals. It's just everything.
Speaker 1Intro no, just boom, oh yeah.
Speaker 2Of course, this is very bass, permanent and love it's dancing it's because it's funk.
Speaker 1It's like just all about the bass. It's a couple of trumpets, some modern synth stuff going on, but it's really like super bass heavy separate.
Speaker 2This is slow part right now. Oh, that raspiness on his voice.
Speaker 1He sounds sort of nonchalant while he's singing Like yeah whatever. Yeah, just at that part. But it was kind of funny. I was like just sounds sort of laid back, wow, I like that ghosty part. Yeah.
Speaker 2Ghost Avenue. I hear the vocaloid because I think that's also. He has produced a lot of vocaloid and you're hearing that on this song. Oh, this is nice. This is like at one minute 33 guys is lo-fi oh, I like this. Blend I like his blend yeah, yeah and then changes to another genre low tempo yeah, it's a very good transition, yeah oh, that's jazzy part, what he's all over the place but it works really well, here we go and then back.
Speaker 1I'm waiting for that bass and it's, it's starting. I'm waiting for that bass it's starting. It's just marking time. Right now, though, the dun, dun, dun dun.
Speaker 2Here it comes.
Speaker 1And then it goes right into it. I really like his voice.
Speaker 2Oh, finishing it with the bass and the voice, wow.
Speaker 1That was pretty cool, it was crazy, it was interesting it was a cool tone kind of song, you know Everything.
Speaker 2Pretty cool, crazy. It was interesting, it was a cool. It was a cool tone kind of song. You know everything was cool about it.
Speaker 1I that's just. It was sort of mesmerizing, you know, like waiting what, what sounds gonna happen next, what? What's his voice gonna do now?
Speaker 2love the blend, yeah, love that blend not just one, of course, not just one genre. It's like multiple genres in one song. We have been experiencing that a lot lately and at the food it just he made it work for this song definitely beautifully awesome love. That was just a cool song. It was do you want to go for the next?
Speaker 1song. Yes, I do okay. No, I was gonna say it's just because he's done a lot of work with he's a producer, so he's done a lot of different animes. Yeah, and that's so. That's what I was. Just I was thinking of that. Okay, I'm all right, I'll be okay, okay that was be okay.
Speaker 2I think the heat is getting to her More water. Moving on to the next song, well, sarah composes herself there for a little bit. It's the heat, it's the heat, it is the heat, it's nasty. So next one is a band the Oral Cigarettes. Mm-hmm, mm.
Speaker 1It's just a name. Well see, now haven't we. You know I'm getting so confused. Have we talked?
Speaker 2about Don, a band episode I don't remember. Of course I don't talk about one OK wrong, but I do not remember. We have talked about the oral cigarettes.
Speaker 1I don't think we talked about them as a band, but I thought we did a single by them before. Or maybe we just might have talked about them as a band, but I thought we did a single by them before. Or maybe we just might have talked about them because, I mean, they've been around a while they could have collab with somebody.
Speaker 1I mean, they've been around for years they might have done a collaboration with somebody there might have been something we were thinking of talking about them for okay so the song that they released was over, yeah, overnight.
Speaker 2Okay. So are you ready, miss Sierra? Yes, I am. Did you have lunch today? No, I did not.
Speaker 1Okay, that's why Did you have breakfast? I had a little mini muffin.
Speaker 2That's not right what. That's not food, that's dessert and coffee. I'm going to get on you like I do with family, that's not food, that's dessert.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was a muffin. It was a muffin, it was just a mini muffin.
Speaker 2What Dessert? Don't get me on nutrition here. Okay, the oral cigarettes, here we go.
Speaker 1Overnight. It's a very subtle opening.
Speaker 2That intro reminded me, like Harry Styles for some reason oh, and then listen to that.
Speaker 1like hard edge guitar, Just get in there and then eh, the choppy guitars, mm. The slapping bass and listen to their voices, oh yeah.
Speaker 2Takuya Yamada, another yum yum. No, this is not a yum yum. This is Takuya. Look at that. Wow, yeah, his voice is good. Very good voice, his voice is good.
Speaker 1Hey, start that mush pit.
Speaker 2What the mush pit this way bit, this way you mush.
Speaker 1yeah, yeah, yeah that's some serious drumming going on.
Speaker 2This is like epic rock at its best that drummer's good oh, I love this these guitars are awesomeirty and grungy and hard rock that deep voice there, whoever's. You hear in the background sounds like there's some techno. Yeah, oh, yeah, oh, that's cool. I like that blend. Yeah, you better be marching to this song. Come on, I'm going hard.
Speaker 1Whoa, is that violins?
Speaker 2it's probably just synth, but it sounds like like they've got a whole orchestra going on with the rock band the guitars are going. It's not crazy though unheard of, but we have two guitars, so there's two different sounds here yeah, yeah oh, this part here.
Speaker 1We're like this, like offbeat drums, oh yes, and they got like the guitar and the bass playing the same thing, so it's this really big sound, oh my god. Yes, this is another one, though, that, like they sort of change it up midway and you're like, so I'm not listening to epic hard rock anymore, and then they go right back into it.
Speaker 2Yeah, they like get into full and then they like slow, they cool down a little yeah. Full again and it's wow yeah.
Speaker 1There's this very deep voice in there, underneath all the other singing, and whoever that is? Wow.
Speaker 2Wow.
Speaker 1That's like just in your face, wow.
Speaker 2Takuya is awesome. His voice is so cool. Damn Damn Jeez, that was just intense. Yeah, so we have akira akira kani in bass. That's a long last name I have not here or seen in japanese.
Speaker 1I know I was like akira, akira kani. Yeah, that's quite a name, so it's akira akira kani.
Speaker 2Uh, that's bass and vocals, so he was put in the background. You can hit me. I wonder if the one with the bassy more I know oh my god, because it was like oh, I love, love, love. Then we have uh on One of the guitars. Shigenobu Suzuki, su-zu-ki, and then for drums we have Masaya Nakanishi, and there's not two guitars, there's one guitarist. Sorry about that. I want to make that correction.
Speaker 1But what about Takuya Yamanaka?
Speaker 2Oh yeah, takuya also. The singer plays guitar.
Speaker 1Oh my God, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2There's two guitars. How can you have the full voice by playing guitar? That's crazy, you know, if you, I mean you can.
Speaker 1It's been done? Yeah, for sure. But like wow, that was just in your face, it was good Growling at you and singing to you and wow Well that's what happens.
Speaker 2Sarah's flabbergasted. She's like oh my God, wow, I'm blown away.
Speaker 1Well, you know, because I haven't you made the list, so I haven't listened to any of these yet, so I'm just like that was impressive.
Speaker 2Well, there's been a while. I mean I don't think there's some songs I have not listened to, so I'm just listening with you at this first time as well, like the oral cigarettes.
Speaker 1Oh, you hadn't listened to this one.
Speaker 2yet I have played it, but it was a while ago Because it was um another one of those elimination shows you know the audition and then the audition shows. So, which also Sky High is very proud of, the girls. Have you seen him taking pictures with them?
Hana's "Blue Jeans"
Speaker 1when they do like, yeah, I've been seeing him. Well, he's all over the place again. He's got some new music himself out.
Speaker 2So we're going to be listening now to Hannah's Blue Jeans himself out, so you know. So we're gonna be listening now to hannah's blue jeans.
Speaker 1We're in for a ballad, my friend, it's gonna say a soft opening, it could change.
Speaker 2It could change. Yes, I like the woohoo, it's really cute. Oh, it comes with the rap, but still with the nice. It's not in your face. We got some vocals here to harmonize, like vocalized rap yeah.
Speaker 1But then the sweet voices yeah, still with the soft gentle guitar in the background.
Speaker 2Okay, it's a little punchy here picking up some tempo, but no, nothing crazy yeah, not, not extreme, not like the last song, I don't know I like the composition of the music. They're actually showcasing the girls voices. Yes, it is sometimes it gets too drowning with the music and you don't hear their voices the, the way the music's working with it, right, I was like there's something about this.
Speaker 1It's like they're telling a story. I don't really understand because it's in Japanese, so you know, naturally, ooh, this girl with a raspy voice.
Speaker 2Yes, yeah, now it's picking up more tempo.
Speaker 1Yeah, so they're talking about blue jeans and some sneakers and your hair. So, yeah, it's like they're telling a story, like maybe when we met, that's what what I noticed about you, or something. But it's a very interesting musical style because it is. It's a storytelling. Yeah, as so that's why they're showcasing the voices. I like it. It's very interesting. Each girl has a signature voice Blending them together here.
Speaker 2And they're harmonizing yeah.
Speaker 1I think I picked up they might have been saying, I remember it's like sweet but with a little bit of edge to it. That was sweet, it was right, it was sweet, but again with a little bit of edge to it. That was sweet, it was right, but it was again with a little bit of edge, like because the those rap vocals nice and raspy and but clear, wow individuality that each girl have on their voice.
Speaker 2I don't know their names, but you can. If I see a video and see them singing, I'll be like, oh, this is the one with the raspy voice. Oh, and this one's the melodic and this one's more the high-pitched, more sweet kind of sound they're. So each girl is different. I love this.
Speaker 1I'd like to see it performed to see who's doing what, because I'm looking at their little group photo here, just a little bit of background, everybody it's seven girls. And the photo here, just so a little bit of background, everybody, that's seven girls. And, uh, the range is really good. I like it and I like the. The simplicity of the music, yes, because it really showcased the various sounds and the way they blend together when they're singing.
Speaker 2So yeah, this is to showcase the girls vocals, and it was beautifully done yeah the composition of the song, the production wow maybe this should be the group.
Speaker 1We do a deep dive. We should do a deep dive on hannah, I'm wondering about the rest of their music. You know what I mean. Yeah, you know the other songs, so that's awesome. We'll have to. We'll have to check into them.
Speaker 2Yes, of course. Written by Chamina Chamina. What happened? I thought you were coming to America. You gave like remember that tweet? Yeah. And we're like oh my God, yes, please, please. And then all of a sudden I'm like what happened, chamina? Hello, where are you? I know you're a mom, but like why are you teasing? Why are hello where are you? I know you're a mom, but like why are you teasing? Why? Why are you saying something and then you're leaving?
Speaker 1us all cold. You said you know just, she's building some suspense for us.
Speaker 2Oh, expectation and anticipation.
Speaker 1Where are you please, anyways, but uh love, yeah, okay, that will be our next project, my friend we are on hana, so their yeah, their debut single came out in april of this year, so we got some, some stuff to work with. They've got, you know, yeah, three singles. So there must be some b-sides so we can flesh it out yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2Plus, we can talk about, you know, the whole audition thing. I don't know if we'll be able to watch it, that show, because it was like on youtube, so I don't know if it's still out there well, we could check it out okay but yeah.
Speaker 1So this Jeans was their latest single came out on the 14th of July, so very recent, very new. Yes, I liked it though.
Vondie's "Reunion"
Speaker 2Yeah, also very new and recent. We're going to talk about Vondie next. Okay, it's on kanji. Yeah, but it was translated to Psyche, which means reunion and we hope that is reunion as per Google Translated to Psyche, which means reunion, and we hope that is reunion as per Google. We'll just let you know that Google was the one that translated this, not us.
Speaker 2According to Google. According to Google, it's reunion, and that one, just yeah, was recently came out. So we have talked about Vandy before, but this one's like a newest one, so we're going back to a solo. All right, so are you?
Speaker 1ready, miss Sarah? Yes, yes, I am.
Speaker 2That bass yeah.
Speaker 1It's just driving you along, it's just like dirty bass.
Speaker 2Got some greediness to that bass. Oh, the vocals, the intro, what yeah?
Speaker 1Da, da, da. Wow, it's like a xylophone in the background too. Do you hear that Ding, ding, ding ding Could be very high piano keys too.
Speaker 2High piano, high keys, Ooh, violins too.
Speaker 1Driving it in.
Speaker 2And high keys.
Speaker 1Oh, violins too driving it in and the the drummer, wow, wow, oh, I love that. I love that. Yes, the vocal, the deep into the high, like this, is like a very 80s this song. It is has a sort of 80s influence, but very early 80s, like late 70s, early 80s, sort of combo of glam, and then it changes rock and this song has, like both, like double personality yeah it has like this dark part, but then it has also this like cheerful part and then this part here like a musical you know what it made me think of?
Speaker 1Styx, mr Roboto, remember from the 80s? Yeah, I knew it made me think of the 80s, I was thinking Queen.
Speaker 2But, that's why. I'm saying it sort of blends all these different eras of music, like the end of glam rock into the early Queen epic stuff, into like Sty sticks rock and roll. Yeah, it's crazy that bass and this like sinister kind of sound.
Speaker 1This is trippy, this part is.
Speaker 2It's a little eerie yeah, like we're listening with headphones on and there's something going on here where it's going from one ear to another, oh, and it's slowly building playing with the stereo.
Speaker 1Oh my god this bass. I love this bass this bass line is adding things.
Speaker 2I love this bass line.
Speaker 1This bass line is so oh but did you notice it started the piano, I know, but I still love the bass, and then the guitar, and then the drums, the bass actually, the bass came earlier. Bass player is really good. Look, look at this.
Speaker 2What this change? It just drops you down. Now we got an acoustic guitar. What?
Speaker 1Wow, this is very Queen right there. Yeah, I love this Another one. There's so much going on. Yes, like trying to keep track of all the sounds coming and going and the vocals His voice is phenomenal?
Speaker 2Yeah, definitely when you think it's going to end in this opera rock opera thing, it's not. Then it's back to this like I don't know, techno part Jeez.
Speaker 1Wow, wow.
Speaker 2Yeah, that was just insane. He is so good, he is so good, he is so good. Jeez, wow, that's all I have to say. He is yeah, wow.
Speaker 1Yeah, so this was the one. You know. Everybody works on anime, but this is the one that's from the summer. Hikaru died, which is kind of dark.
Speaker 2So I wonder, I think it's probably one of those kind of animes, yeah yeah, that is just.
Speaker 1I haven't seen the anime, but based on the title, that song would probably fit very well.
Speaker 2Yeah, wow, wow, exactly, that's really good, that's really good, that's really good. Anyways, moving on to our last but not least group, they're actually a k-pop. We're gonna do a k-pop song, really. Yes, we will do a k-pop song after we did what. They're all Japanese. Everybody says, yeah, they're all Japanese.
Speaker 1Oh my goodness.
Speaker 2I mean, most of our audience is in Japan, and then also people who love Japanese music listen to this podcast a lot, so thank you very much. So this one is from the group One Us and the name of the song is X X X, just X, just X. Ready Sarah. The song is X.
Speaker 1X X.
Speaker 2Just X, just X, ready Sierra.
One Us's "X"
Speaker 1Yep, it could be 10. You know, we've been fooled by these Roman numerals before X or 10.
Speaker 2Take it as you like.
Speaker 1So let's listen to it. Maybe it'll tell us All right, you ready, I'm ready, all right, here we go.
Speaker 2Again with heavy bass. Oh my goodness, this is driving me nuts.
Speaker 1Yes, this is like yeah, a, oh, and we got our answer. This is how you could tell we didn't listen to it. The song is X, x, because they call me X.
Speaker 2Yep, not 10.
Speaker 1X. Ooh, who's that?
Speaker 2Let's go. I don't know that was sweet.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, whoa, who's that? This group has really good vocals. Yeah, no, the voices are great, but the music, and another one with the crazy transitions. It went from that bass-driven to now sort of rim-tapping drums Back to the bass.
Speaker 2Oh yeah, going up, up, up to the top, top top who's the one with the low voice?
Speaker 1jeez freaky did he say we're freaky, all right?
Speaker 2I don't know. He wants to be popular, popular la la. Oh, my god, who is this? Okay, he's gonna drive me crazy. I gotta check out who's the. Let's get a bit of rapper. Rappers are usually with a low voice, of course, this is a catchy song it is.
Speaker 1That might have been maybe lido that rapper you like lido, let's go.
Speaker 2The one with the falsetto yes, good production on this song too. That let's go. Oh, this is getting me dancing got you on the move wow, and they just ended. I'm like what you left me hanging. I wanted more.
Speaker 1That was a really good groove. Well, that's the. It's always the way the ones that you like you really start getting into it and then it's like what happened?
Speaker 2yes, call me x then at that. Oh, love, yeah, you know yeah, that's why I called you x, why you haven't even been my first, I guess, wow popular very poppy yeah, I've got a theory, but we'll keep it.
Speaker 1Okay, we'll talk about making you feel good and, yeah, you know, want to go to the top, top, top, be popular you know. No, I wow, though. That just started. Like you get into the zone with that one.
Speaker 2Yes, like that was sort of, and it starts right away there's like no much of an intro it's like call me x. I'm like jeez wow attacking me already.
Speaker 1Jeez, knock you over the head and, wow, drag you in. That's what they did what's going on here?
Speaker 2what I called you what. What's going on? What's going on. It's like catch it by surprise, but that one. In a weird sort of way, that was a blackout song for me, because I was just like totally in a trance I was like yeah, I, I don't know, and of course, that bass, it started with that bass and it's like oh, and whenever that deep voice came in, I was like oh yeah, oh, what was it?
Speaker 1oh yeah that boy?
Speaker 2who are you? Who are you? Jeez? Oh my god. I'm saying the rappers usually have the lower voice.
Speaker 1Yeah, lido.
Speaker 2Lido. Wow, okay, I got to watch the video on this because I got to find out who the who, who, who is the low voice? We love the low voice. Anyways, wow, yeah, it's really good.
Speaker 1Well, all of these were in very different ways. You know which is what we love to do. We love to listen to a variety of things because, like, yeah, then you're surprised by each song and, like I said, as you guys could tell, yeah, a couple of them neither of us had listened to prior to this. So no that's awesome. We've fallen for that roman numeral versus a letter kind of thing before, so girl please girl yes, so this one is definitely x it's x.
Speaker 2I mean the boy. The boy just said it, call me x. I'm like okay, good, thank you for telling me. Thank you for telling me interesting.
Speaker 1Like x is part of the formula, it's the unknown. X is like marks the spot, it's where you want to be you know I mean this could be any number of yes yes, because they want to be popular but then it could you know those under meanings of make you feel good, and you know I like this. I like this.
Song Comparisons and Final Thoughts
Speaker 2I'm reading the titles of the songs. You are on ghost avenue on overnight and then you find this person wearing blue jeans that you reunite, but then it ends to be your ex. How about that for a story? All right, that works oh my god, okay, love, anyways. Anyway, which one did you like go back to and be and listen to on repeat?
Speaker 1oh, that's a hard one. I think it would depend on my mood. If I'm driving, while I'm driving, it would be vondie and and juanis, but, um, just sitting around hanging out would be eve or eve and hana, you know.
Speaker 1And then so current if I want to go just completely crazy, then the oral cigarettes, they're sort of, they're the wild card oh yeah musically, yeah, of these songs like it could go anywhere, yeah, like you could be in your office just working away, you could be driving, or you could be in your kitchen cooking. I mean, it's like that. One covers everything. The others they're sort of like moods. You know, two of them are sort of just the, the keep you going, driving ahead. Two of them are sort of a little more gentle and smooth, and then yeah, if I was at the gym, like on the treadmill, definitely the oral cigarette.
Speaker 2Yeah, that will get your bum just pumping and it's like, because it has different like ups and down, you're like oh yeah you keep going and going. That's a really good one. That's a really good one. Also, vandi is really good for the treadmill. Those two right there, definitely. I give you a power workout in my opinion for me, you know, hannah would be the the cool, the cool down the one you chill out. If the sauna is just chill out, you know, uh, in the hot tub yes yes, yeah, I think it's long.
Speaker 2The song is about like three minutes for Hana. I don't think I'll be that long inside a hot sauna.
Speaker 1I hate the heat.
Speaker 2I'll probably be in there like is it 30 seconds already?
Speaker 1Well, sometimes you got to sweat it out. That's why I was saying the hot tub, Because then you've got the hot but you're in the open air.
Speaker 2That's like you're cooking yourself. You're cooking yourself basically either way Sun or the water. Like you're cooking yourself, you're cooking yourself basically either way Sun or the water.
Speaker 1You're still cooking yourself your own little hot pot.
Speaker 2Yeah, I know People are like, oh, hot tubs. I'm like, you know, it looks enticing. But then I'm like, the moment I feel the water I'm going to be like, oh, no, no, no, no, no thank you.
Speaker 1It the apres ski and nothing better than the outdoor hot tub, with the snow falling and the cold air.
Speaker 2Well, that's great. You know, if you ski, that's a great therapeutic thing to do, because your muscles are like that's all you don't want to body workout.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's great.
Speaker 2The hot tub after that it's great, but just for funsies. No, oh yeah, no, no Just on the average day, but just for funsies, no, oh yeah, no, no, just on the average day.
Speaker 1Yeah, no I don't need the hot tub like, oh, like the hot springs in japan, like people's like, oh, let's go to the onsen.
Speaker 2I'm like, oh no well, you'd have to, you'd have to experience it at least once, yeah, people just like do their videos and I'm like that looks so nice, but then I'm like that water, how hot it is. Oh, yeah, you know.
Speaker 1Yeah, it depends I've you know what have I ever? I don't know if I've mentioned it before, just because, now that we're talking about onsen, years and years and years ago I was watching a special about japan. I'm like did I imagine it was? Was I like hallucinating? Okay, I swear to God, I saw a thing. It was like what do you call those? They go up the mountain, the tram, okay, like a giant ski lift Like a real yeah, yeah, you know.
Speaker 1Yeah, vernacular, something Furnicular. Furnicular I'm confusing words, not vernacular. What the hell am I trying to say? Anyway, so it was huge, it was big, but it was sectioned off. So there were like maybe six to eight little blocks in this tram and in each one was hot water, so it was like a moving onsen up the mountain. Oh, and you like rented out you know, you and some friends to just chill out, go up the snowy mountain, look at everything outside, while sitting in your own little personal hot tub. I was like that is the coolest thing.
Speaker 1That is the coolest thing, right, but I'm not sure if I really saw that, if it was a real thing or if, like I said, because I mean I was young and also terrifying right, because you're like like I mean, if you're in there with other people, maybe you're not naked, but like the idea of being mostly naked in this thing that could tumble down into the snow and then you got to get rescued, you know or it breaks down and no, no, that's why no, yeah, no, it's sort of frightening and and intriguing all at the same time like, wow, that's cool how many times that thing broken down.
Speaker 2But I was, you know, like you want to ask.
Speaker 1well, that's the thing, because I was like you know what's the logistics of that? Because water is heavy, yeah. So I was like how does this work, you know? So that's why I'm like, exactly, was I hallucinating, you know? Maybe I had a fever and just thought I saw it.
Speaker 2One of your dreams, who knows? Google it and see what happens.
Speaker 1I know right, it's been years it was pre-Google. Pre-google. That I thought I saw it.
Speaker 2Google somebody, probably you know record, put it in the histories, put it in the histories.
Speaker 1I know, back in blah blah town of japan there was this name that you have, you know, I mean, and yeah, maybe it wasn't as many as I thought, maybe it was just four, maybe it was just two, maybe it was a single.
Speaker 2I have no idea but okay please give a chance to these people yes, definitely give them. You know, give them a chance if you already. If one of them is your fave, hey, thank you. But if the other ones are not, please give them a chance. Give them a listen.
Speaker 1Yeah, give everybody a listen. Okay, and, like we said, maybe we'll do a deep dive next on On Hana.
