OK ASIA
Hello everybody, welcome back to Music Elixir. It's just me. Today, sarah is on hiatus again. Things happen, I know, but I just want to say thank you very much as of today, my solo episode that I released, yeah, this month, in September. I have over now 100 downloads, so thank you very much for those who are listening. I was well, you know, because Sarah is not here. We're a duo, we meet, you know, when we're together, it's, it's magic, it's dynamics, it's different. You know the vibe when one of those, when she couldn't be here anyways. So it's me again. So, thank you very much for those who like the solo episode. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And today I was.
Speaker 1:I was thinking what am I gonna talk about? Because the last time, um, that episode was about graduating idols in Japan from Japanese boy groups and girl groups when they leave their group to pursue something different. This month, or actually this episode, it will be the recap for the month of August. You know that you will think maybe for the month of September, but things happen, so like things happen in August and I'm like, let me like recap it for those who are actually new to the podcast. So, thank you and welcome to the podcast. It's usually Sarah and I, but things happen like I said. So last month was just packed with so much new songs, a big concert experience and, yes, a few rants that you all love. I know some of you do like when we do our rants and rambling. If you missed an episode or just want to relive the highlights, this will catch you up. This, this is the session, but you can always go back to the archive of the past episodes and just check it out for yourself and, as always, I want to hear from you while you are listening. Send me a dm or tag me on your socials with your favorite august, august moment august, august, augusto. You know, like a music drop or a concert, anything I might shout out. Whoever sends me a, you know a drop, a music drop or a concert, anything Just I might shout you out when you're sharing with me. All right, that will be for the next episode. Let's see. Let's start with one of my favorite August episodes Five singles, five worlds.
Speaker 1:First, we started talking about Eve's Ghost Avenue, the jazzy, lo-fi, perfect late night listening, awesome for if you're having a dinner party or just you know or dinner. Actually, I did play it during having dinner with family and it was cool vibes. Did you check out that song? Because usually when we do, when we talk about these songs, we will like you to also listen to them. Did you listen to it? Did it become one of your favorites? Let me know, hit me up, let me know. Also, we talked about the oral cigarettes with the song Every Ever Night, overnight, overnight, oh my God, overnight. Pure rock energy. I mean, I was headbanging to it. Did you air guitar? It's just like one of those songs that you need to air guitar. That was so awesome. Be honest, come on, do you like the J-Rock? Or was this probably your first J-Rock song? Let me know, because they've been around for years and that song's actually for an anime, so if you're an anime fan, you probably already have heard this song.
Speaker 1:Then we talked about Hannah's Blue Jeans. Oh my goodness, such a beautiful story-driven song showcasing their melodic voices. Oh, my goodness, I love. I mean I'm so. We're sarah and I were obsessed with this group. We are obsessed with this group.
Speaker 1:If you catch that episode, what did you felt like the storytelling in in their voices and the song. Oh, I just, you know, that was sweet and comparing I'm not gonna say much, because if you have not heard our dedicated episode on Hana, please do so. We cover all the songs that they have out there now they have. Oh please, we are so obsessed, so please let me know. Did you check that episode? Are you a honey? Hey, hi, honeys. If you're a honey, please let me know. We've been seeing you on our Music Elixir podcast. You know ex-Twitter. Oh, my goodness, thank you very much for your love and support, but anyways.
Speaker 1:So yes, we talked about Hannah's blue jeans. Please check it out on that episode. Also, we talked about Vondie's reunion. It's a very dramatic, dramatic, emotional, just big soundtrack vibes. And finally, k-pop group wano's we talked about on the song x. This song had me dancing on my chair. Love, love that. As soon as the song gives me the dancing vibes, I'm gonna be doing that, I'm gonna be moving, fidgeting, do whatever. So have you checked? So I would like to know have you checked any of those songs from that episode, from five songs, five worlds? Let us know. Let me know. How do you feel about it? The episode like an episode like that reminds me how much range there is in Asian pop. One playlist can take you from like chill jazz to headbanging, rock, to a full dance party. So also. So, another episode that on in August.
Speaker 1:Then we talked about one of our favorite moments of the summer. Oh, jin's tour, ron Sok tour oh, we went to the one in New York because it's the closest one to us. It was so worth it, so worth it. We were so lucky we were able to see the two dates. Oh, my goodness, if you were there, message me.
Speaker 1:I want to know what part of the show was your favorite. I know everything. I know that it's going to be hard, it's everything. I know it's gonna be hard, it's everything. I know it's gonna be everything. But there's gonna be just like one moment that you were like, oh my god, it just living in your head like rent free. I would like to know. I we shared everything, from the lining up outside the merch hustle oh, that yeah, from the first night to the second night. Please check that out. But our shenanigans are like great, great and, of course, the pre-show buzz. And then when jinn hits the stage, oh my god, so magical. Oh, I'm still reliving it.
Speaker 1:He had us laughing when with the interaction moments, the little games that he was doing with us. Then he got me crying when he started playing background and and for sarah it was spring day, oh my goodness. Of course, if I see somebody crying, I'm crying background. He always got my heart, from the first night, the second night and also when we saw the uh, actually, when it was streaming on the movie theaters, I was like, no, he's not gonna get me again. Yeah, no, he got me. God, I love that song.
Speaker 1:I know some of you told me you teared up as well just hearing me recap it. Honestly, come on, I'll be the same. I'm kidding, I'm here, I'm feeling emotional again, but you know, live music has this way of making you feel you're part of something, something bigger, right? So if you have been to a concert this year that have that gave you the same goosebumps, that feeling, let us talk about it. Tag me on your social best concert. How about that? Tag me like best concert moment so far, because the year has not ended yet and there's more concerts coming.
Speaker 1:Then, of course, august wouldn't be complete without our Ransom Rambling episode. On our Ransom Rambling, we like to like pick topics, especially of what's going on in like the news world. Some article that we just came upon, sarah came up on one from Rolling Stone's BTS solo ranking. We had thoughts. Which ranking surprised you the most, if you actually came upon that article, and also what you know what we commented as well, because we had you know. Did you agree with us? Did you disagree? Let us know.
Speaker 1:Then there was this cartoon one night reunion news that happened. We were shocked. Were you shocked? Were you excited? Or both? I was was shocked because supposedly there's like no more. It just you know cartoon said, uh, activities have halted, no more back in march, and then that, and we were like whoa, okay anyways.
Speaker 1:And of course we couldn't ignore the kcon la chaos, because kcon, you know that has only been on la. We went to one in new york and we loved it, but apparently I found this article for somebody who a fan, who actually went and did their own like concert experience on kcon la. It said it was chaos, there were missing panels, there were merch drama, were Were you at KCON? I definitely want to hear your story, good or bad, but on that episode at least we got to end the episode with a high note, with Monsta X announcing the X, oh my God, their comeback album. What, oh, I love this group so much. I love this group so much, but did you did you? Did you stream? You had a stream party. I was streaming it as soon as it dropped and I'm still streaming it. Come on, our boys.
Speaker 1:So that was august a month full of music discoveries, live experience experiences and just plenty of opinions. If you miss any of those episodes, go go back. Go back and catch up. They're perfect for like a weekend listen, long commute or just chilling with your favorite beverage and, like I said, keep the conversation going. It's an open conversation. Tag me on your social media, in your socials. Let me tell me your favorite August track, also your biggest fangirl or fanboy moment, and even what you want me to cover next month. So if you have any ideas, let me know. Maybe another group that you want Sarah and I to do a deep dive. Please let us know. That's it, you know. Thank you so much for hanging out with me on this August Rewind. I love hearing from you and just building this community together. Yes, thank you, thank you, thank you.
