A canceled tour. Refund notices. Confused fans. We pull back the curtain on why live shows keep slipping through our fingers, from vague “operational issues” to the hard math of visas, venue access, and thin margins. A North American K‑pop run dissolves overnight, and we trace the fingerprints: new promoters biting off too much, slow stream velocity dulling demand signals, and logistics that punish even small mistakes.

We also talk about the real cost of attending a show now. The venue you can’t reach on one subway line adds hours and hotel bills. The “quick night out” means PTO, rideshares, and $15 snacks. That friction changes behavior. Fans who once went every month now choose a few can’t-miss acts, while others opt for the couch, a big screen, and a flawless livestream. When Shirley Manson calls touring a liability, she’s speaking to a system where artists work harder for less, and fans shoulder higher stakes with every purchase.

There’s still light. Hybrid models are getting smarter: multi-camera livestreams, timed replays, and thoughtful travel packages that make yes easier and FOMO lighter. We share updates from the J‑pop and K‑pop worlds—Arashi speculation, member projects, BTS tour hopes—and ask what a sustainable future could look like if fans had fair access and artists had predictable backing. If you care about live music, this conversation maps the fault lines and possible fixes.

If this resonates, tap follow, share it with a friend who misses concerts as much as you do, and leave a quick review so more listeners can find us. What would make you say yes to your next show: better prices, easier access, or a great livestream?

Opening Banter & Date Check

SPEAKER_00

Welcome everybody to another episode of Music Elixir with me, Satish, and Mr.

SPEAKER_01

Japanic! Yeah. Today is what? A rant and ramblings. I'm looking at Sarah like For a minute.

Tour Cancellations Hit Home

SPEAKER_00

I thought you were you said today is what? So I was like, what the date? Which we can mention is October 25th.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Yes. Many things happened last week. Many things didn't happen last week. Many or one thing has been canceled completely. And also and and and also uh the fans all the fandoms canceling things on their own because they're just not happy.

SPEAKER_00

Well that frequently happens, so yeah. Uh you can't please all the people all the time.

SPEAKER_01

And I know it depending on what you are looking on your timeline on your TL, it just just what it comes up. And of course, I'm working on things, and that's what is what's coming up on my TL. And I'm like, oh geez. Maybe I guess a good topic to talk about it to to like discuss today. Which one? Uh let's go ahead with the big one that uh I'll I send I send you the message. I DM you on X Twitter, but then you send me a DM on Instagram. And I'm like, huh, okay, she saw it too. It is actually Wano's 2025 World Tours Stay Awake being canceled. North America new. I know new new new.

Venue Access And Travel Costs

SPEAKER_00

And it was so funny because either that morning or the day before, I was like, you know, I'm gonna talk to Panic about I bet we could swing it. Because in Terminal 5 in New York, we could we could probably swing that. And I was gonna ask you about it today. You know, I think we could do it. Let's let's get us some tickets. And like, like I said, either the next day or later that morning, the news pops up. It's been canceled. I was like, well, I guess the decision was made for us. We don't have to worry about trying to get tickets. Nope. We're not going. Nobody's going.

SPEAKER_01

Nobody's going. Money will be reimbursed to everybody who bought tickets.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Well, that saves us the trouble of going through that.

SPEAKER_01

Uh uh, yeah. Especially Terminal 5 is a little bit long. It's not as accessible as let's say MSG and all the places who are actually near Grand Central or not Broadway. Times Square. Times Square.

SPEAKER_00

Like the this is how I figured lights you know, you were thinking of yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's been it's been a while. Right now, we're very, very picky on going to New York or who we want to see in New York because traveling to even to New York is as being costly. Everything is just so costly right now. Yeah. I remember a time that we were going to New York every other month. And I know crazy. And it was yeah, because it's just like, oh, this it was affordable to us and it was accessible, best more accessible to us. But now, yeah, it's just so much has changed. So it right now is like we gotta be very picky to go to New York because it's just costing more than it used to be.

SPEAKER_00

Definitely. And plus just the time investment, because a lot of times we have to take a day off from work. We have to arrange to get down there, possibly arrange to stay over, depending, you know. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Especially for Terminal 5. I think it would have been better just to stay over a night because it's a little bit, yeah.

Why Wono’s NA Tour Fell Apart

SPEAKER_00

It's yeah, just that much further off the beaten path that it's it adds like another hour of time traveling to get over. So yeah. No, definitely not like going to MSG or even Webster Hall, which at least, you know, can just hop on the four, five, six trains and go straight down, you know.

SPEAKER_01

We're able to catch the you know, the train and from Grand Central, yeah. You know, it was accessible. Hmm. So Sarah and I we were, you know, just just chit chit-chatting, like how frequent this is happening. Yeah, it's like I maybe once in a while, oh no, that's just you know, it's unfortunate. But lately it's been too often and it's getting scary.

SPEAKER_00

I don't like that. Yeah, I would say since probably 2019, like the past six years have been really spotty, and usually it's due to visa issues. They didn't say exactly what it was other than sort of a failure, I guess, of communication between the local promoters and his team. So they didn't say it was because of a visa issue, it was just something was not working out. Unfortunately. But I did see the next day on Instagram there are gonna be a couple of fan meets, one in New York City and one in LA. Mm-hmm. But you have to it's like a a lottery, you have to apply for the fan sign fan meet. We decide that's not in our cards either. As much as we want to see them. Wouldn't be the same as like a whole show.

SPEAKER_01

So Stage Lash kind of gave a vague the you know why they cancel. I'm reading verbatim.

SPEAKER_00

So that's the local promoter.

Refunds, Merch Pullback, And Promoter Woes

SPEAKER_01

That's the promoter that was supposed to be taking care of this tour. So they says, so Stage Lash said, Dear Weenie, we deeply appreciate the support and enthusiasm you have shown for the 2025 Wano World Tour Stay Awake North America. However, due to various operational challenges, we regret to inform you that the tour has been cancelled. Operational challenges.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I was gonna say because the um the Highline crew also said the same thing. Operational issues in unforeseen circumstances. So that's what I mean. That's vague. Mm-hmm. It's just a way of saying somebody F'd up, I think.

SPEAKER_01

Um either I never heard of this promoter. This stage lash is kind of new to me. Yeah, me too. Uh maybe they just how they say buy too too much to be.

SPEAKER_00

Bit off, bit off more than they could choose. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So I mean, if you uh yeah, I never heard of this stage last slash. Maybe they did maybe smaller event, you know, maybe not international, I don't know. But anyways, they I guess just couldn't handle Wano's tour, and they had to back up. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So it it's of of course this comes down to money. Somebody bring out a money and then they wanted more money and it's not it wasn't happening. Maybe they had a backer and the backer said, Nope. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, because I mean promoters, they need to have money to bring somebody in here. It's not gonna just gonna be like, oh, we sell these tickets and then you know we'll we'll we'll do our purchase and everything from that. They still gotta be some money there because if something doesn't happen, forget it. You're screwed. So maybe this is what happened.

Streaming Numbers And Fan Support

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, they were saying even um, you know, people who bought merch online and stuff, even that's being canceled and refunded. So I mean, this is like oh no. Yeah. Further, further down, they when they talk about all ticket sales will be refunded at the original point of purchase. But then they also say merchandise orders will also be canceled and refunded. Hmm. Just and that's it. Not like you can go purchase it elsewhere, nothing. It's like, nope, you're not getting anything.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, somebody was not on the wall on this. Somebody was not on top of deadlines, not on top of how much was gonna cost. Just like they say, various operational challenges. So yeah, they just they didn't know. They didn't know dates, they didn't know this, they didn't know how to no, too much. This was too big of an artist for you to handle.

SPEAKER_00

I guess, yeah. Like you, I've never heard of them, so I'm not sure who else they've handled or any of that, but right.

SPEAKER_01

I went to their ex Twitter. There's not many people following them, so they're probably new. New, yeah. So this was just way too much. Way too much.

SPEAKER_00

There go our dreams of seeing Wano.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. We'll see. Wano, why don't you go to Connect?

SPEAKER_00

Well, maybe he'll try something new, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, we'll see. So sorry, Weenie. Sorry, Weenie, but I'm also gonna call out Weenie. Uh, how come you're not streaming his stuff? Especially that newer song. I know, right? It's still very low. Yeah. Like, what happened? What's going on? At least on Spotify. I don't know where anything. I don't have Apple Music unless it's well streamed there. Eh? Yeah. I haven't heard of that. How about I haven't how about his music video? I haven't looked at that either. You know? Because almost like maybe his music video is more, but I haven't seen any, you know, sometimes the artists like to say, hey, we reached 10 million views, and blah blah blah. I haven't seen that on him. So I'm um I'm a bit uh worried of what's going on with our boy. How come he's not being well represented? What's going on? Yeah, I don't know.

Comparing Artist Momentum

SPEAKER_00

Again, because we love him doesn't mean everybody else. I I sometimes forget that. I'm like, but I love this artist, so why aren't why aren't they doing better here? Why isn't this getting promoted? And then you know, I apparently my opinion is not pulling its weight. Right?

SPEAKER_01

Oh man. Well, he's better than me three months ago. This is YouTube. His video made 4.7 million.

SPEAKER_00

That's low.

SPEAKER_01

That is low.

SPEAKER_00

Seeing as earlier we were talking about another artist who just in like five weeks has 20 million views on yeah. So that's yeah. Even our girls Hanna, who what in in five days had 10 million, right? Yeah. I guess it's just pockets of fans are not pulling their weight and listening and watching and yeah. Hard to say.

SPEAKER_01

Or Wano, our boy. Now, if he goes back to Martha X, Mammy thinks will be different.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Jeez. Well, you know, and speaking of them, their album came out, but I haven't heard anything about touring big time. I know they've been doing shows and stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they're gonna do that Jingle Bells BS. Oh, the uh the iHeart Jingle Bells rock, whatever, jingle ball jingle bowl. Yeah. But they're just gonna sing like a few songs and that's it. Yeah, yeah. And this is just a bunch of other artists that are gonna be in there. Jackson Wang as well, he's gonna be part of that. Oh, really? Yeah. But you know, he they're in um I'm coming to Boston. Um we still got those tickets. I know, right? If we ever meet them, I'll be like, can you sign my ticket for the show that you never came?

Visa Issues And Industry Fragility

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, I mean, at least that wasn't their fault or any promoter's fault. So, what else have we got? What do you want to throw out there to talk about?

SPEAKER_01

Just that I'm worried about concerts. I'm very worried about what's going on with concerts. I'm worried about like visa problems, especially the visa problems is one of my concerns. You know, this could be also the same situation, the visa problem as well with this stage last.

SPEAKER_00

That's true, yeah. Because I'm sure they've got to handle at least part of it, getting it organized. So I don't know. Well, we've got shows planned. We'll just see what happens.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because that made me nervous after that happened. I was like, oh, but what about the other shows we've already bought tickets for?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know that we might as well just say we bought tickets to see card. That's on December 14th in New York City. So we'll see about that. You know, I seen the promoter, you know, putting little things here and there, and that's kind of cool.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so but they've they've had to cancel right in 2023 and 2024. They had to cancel parts of tours.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there were some cancellations. I'm like, what's going on? That's why I'm a little nervous. I know. It's beginning to feel like Morsi. Morsi's on tour. Oh, I'm down with this tour. I'm not doing the tour, I'm canceling it. Really, Morsi?

SPEAKER_00

You only did like a couple? We so lucked out with that. We were like the second night of that tour, and then he canceled the whole rest of it. We were like, oh my god.

Anxiety Over Upcoming Shows

SPEAKER_01

And he just did it again this year. Oh no, this year he was like balls of the wall. I'm done with this. I am done with this. I'm not touring, I'm not doing this. Blah blah blah blah blah. I'm selling everything from the Smiths. Blah blah blah blah blah. I don't know. He went cray cray. I mean, we all know. I think it's been a a slow ride today. He's he I that's supposed to say balls to the wall. It's been he's really gone. He uh, I don't know. If you don't know who Morrissey is, please uh do a deep dive. But this is uh if you want to. But Morsi is a singer for the Smiths, very successful back in the 80s. Um the the British, the second British invasion, right? He there the group is well known by his front man that he's very passionate and um he's also broody, exactly, and likes to say how it is, you know, if you like it or not. But he I love his lyrics, I love his music, Johnny Mar, amazing guitarist, and those two together, they have created amazing music, so many bops, so many like classic oh my god, you know well, even his solo stuff was really good.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you know, you can see that he was the thoughts behind the the lyrics for the Smiths, too. It's sort of carried into his his solo stuff.

Morrissey’s Cancellation Legacy

SPEAKER_01

So many he has so many songs that actually touch me personally, yeah, and that's the thing, and also has touched a lot of people personally as well, because they have talked of their childhood a lot. Um, so yeah, he he he's gone um brogue on his cancellation.

SPEAKER_00

Well, the last time it was because apparently a a personal threat came through. So yeah. That at least was a reason before it was just he was like, nah, I'm I'm done. I'm done.

SPEAKER_01

So he's very he's well known for canceling his own shows out or uh for nothing. He's quirky.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we'll just call him.

SPEAKER_01

I I we got tickets to see him in Connecticut, and we're like, please don't cancel. Please don't cancel. We got to see him, the amazing show, and then that's it. That's it. I'm not gonna buy any more time. That's all I needed. That's all I needed because one and done. We know very well how he is. I remember he was supposed to play here in Northampton. He canceled that one, which I'm like, ah, really, dude. Oh my god. But then I was like, Yes, I got the time to see him. It's like a game. Oh my goodness. But I mean, uh yeah, it's like, yeah. Okay, Morcy. So yeah, I'm just worried about shows now, the future of shows. Oh, did I share that reel with you? I don't know if I did or not. Shirley Manson. Oh, from Garbage. From Garbage. She had made some statement on what on her last show that it was gonna be Garbage last show. Because it was it's I don't I'm not saying the exact word, but it's be it's becoming a liability to tour. They're not making any money.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I can sort of see that. And that might be the issue for some of these artists, you know, because think about other shows that were just canceled because ticket sales weren't happening, and it's not just our favorite Asian artists, there've been American and Canadian artists who are like, yeah, we're just not pulling the numbers, so we're canceling the show, you know, in this city or that town, or some people have had to cancel entire tours. It happens. And I wonder if it's just because people are not going to live shows. And I don't understand that because other than the fact that prices for tickets are outrageous, thank you, Ticketmaster. But um I don't know if people just aren't interested in the the live experience. I I don't know what it is because despite my like not liking crowds, right? I do go to concerts because I love the actual experience. So you gotta wonder, you know, what's going on there, why people just aren't going out and supporting it. Just a really weird phenomenon, I guess. The younger generations don't want to go to shows. The older generations are like, I can't handle standing for two and a half hours.

SPEAKER_01

No, yeah, we we want comfort. I prefer comfort over, you know, to for a show. I mean, it's different now.

Touring Economics And Shirley Manson’s Warning

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's true. The older you get it, the harder it is. But I still want to do that experience.

SPEAKER_01

This body has been a mush fit. This body has been dancing like all night long till the morning, we hours, you know. Now it's just like I need to sit down.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, no. The thought of going to a club till four in the morning does not appeal to me anymore.

SPEAKER_01

No, no. Oh my now that you said that my hairdresser's like, I want to go to New York, go clubbing. I'm like, well, good for you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, have fun.

SPEAKER_01

You know, she's like, yeah, I want to like, I know, just damn whatever. And I'm like, okay, good for you.

SPEAKER_00

Good for you. My my 10 minutes in my office while I'm bopping to my favorite tune now is as much clubbing as well.

SPEAKER_01

My club is my living room with my big screen TV or flat screen TV, put whatever, what's on YouTube, whatever, just blamp, blamp, blamp. There you go. Turn off the lights, put some moonlight in, that's it.

SPEAKER_00

And then your couch is right there if you need it.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. And if I'm done with the music, just put Netflix on. What time? Done with the song. So uh, you know, yeah, it's uh it's it's it's being dark for music, like getting out there too. I mean, um if to get the person on billboards or whatever is buying CDs, are people even buying CDs? Oh, except for Asia, except for Japan. Japan likes to buy CDs. But then, but this is the thing. I have okay, so this is the thing. They have buy the CDs to help boost their favorite, then they're downloaded on their computer so they can put it on their little phone or whatever, and then they go and resell the CD. That's why they always look like brand new, because they're never they're only played like once, probably.

SPEAKER_00

They open the package to read the liner notes or something, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then they're done. Some don't even do that, they're just like I just stream it. But I be because it's come you know, there's no room, you know.

SPEAKER_00

I know, yeah. There's no room. Music collections take up a lot of space. Yes, they do. I can attest to that. Yes, they do. Our actually collection is ginormous.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. So I found this is from Shirley, from Shirley Manson. But I mean, she's right. Actually, she's talking about streaming. Okay, you know what? I'm gonna read it. But you can find her ranting live on on stage. So she goes, There is no governmental body, there's no effing real effective union for musicians that fight for young musicians to get paid. The average musician makes twelve dollars a month on Spotify.

Generational Shifts In Concert Culture

SPEAKER_00

Well, we've talked about that before. It's ridiculous. Oh, yeah, that's being a good thing. How much they have to stream to make any money.

SPEAKER_01

They are sleeping on their vans, they're holding down numerous jobs, and they're really paying their guts out every night. That's true for young you know groups. You know, exactly. They sleep in vans. We know some that have done that. But yeah, that's been going for yeah, years. If we when you're in a band, that's pretty much how it is.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, for a long time.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Then she dumb I'm reading just verbatim from this over here. Hopefully, they put all her wording in there. But like I said, you can find that on Instagram where she's talking about this. And she goes, You are the ones who will lose out on generation of esoteric, risk taking, creative, adventurous, weirdos, rebels, agitators, and provocateurs. You're gonna get effing wide bread. That's it. Why we love angry? Yeah, no, she's amazing. Yeah, no, definitely. She's amazing. I remember remember seeing them live back in the 90s, they were opening for her, no doubt, and she was talking about Gwen Stefani. I love her. She's like so sassy. She goes, I have a little chat with you guys while the guys take a break. So this morning, I no, she's like, I was talking with Gwen, and you know, and I'll ask her how you get so fit and whatever. And Gwen is like, I go running. She was like, Really? You run? It's like, yeah, I run every day. She's like, well, maybe I'll go run with you one day.

SPEAKER_00

So that's going.

The At-Home Concert Alternative

SPEAKER_01

So Gwen is like, okay, cool. So this morning, Gwen Stefani wakes me up at three o'clock in the morning to go for a run. I hear this knocking on my door on the uh on the hotel room, and she's like, You ready? She's like, What? We're running. Yeah, we're running. So I don't have running shoes, so I'm running on my boots. I'm using my boots and I'm trying to run after Gwen Stefani. I said to her, I'm done. You have a good run. I'm gonna go back. Um I am sweating from everywhere. I'm like heaving, I'm like, my feet were hurting, and yeah, that's Gwen Stefani for you. And then she leaves, like, oh, okay. Like, and now she's gonna be here on stage and do all that all around. I don't know where she gets the I don't know where she gets the energy. I'm done. She was so funny. That's awesome. No, it was a cool tour. It was a cool tour. And then she came on, they both did a song together, and I was like, Yeah, that was a great tour. That was a good this is before Gwen Stefani had children. I was gonna say, yeah, that must have been a while ago. Oh, yeah, it was a while, it was a very while ago. It was an amazing show. Amazing, amazing show. Garbage opening for no doubt.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was it was great. Anyways, so yes, that's a bit of what it's going on. Oh, congratulations to one of the West members. Oh yeah, got married to a non-celebrity woman.

SPEAKER_00

Second one this year, right? To get married. Yeah, because um Akito, Kitty Yama got married earlier this year in January to the volleyball player. We talked about that, yeah. Congratulations though to the new newlywet. Yeah, your non-celebrity.

SPEAKER_01

I'm telling you, fans, we we have a chance. Just don't be a stalker. Yeah, exactly. Don't be a stalker. Because stalkers will not get you know, will not get married to their face. Might get arrested. Oh.

CDs, Streaming, And Fan Behaviors

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm. Anything else in the news? Well, I was gonna say, Go ahead. Real quick, one one tour that didn't get canceled, but it's happening in Korea. It doesn't affect us, but we can't go. But uh Jin's doing an encore performance of his Run Suction episode tour. Just two days. Okay. But they're gonna you can live stream it. I wonder if it's gonna be streamed. Well, cause um he started the tour in Korea and Asia and and then he came over here, and I think it was sort of pretty much the same throughout. So if they're saying Encore, I think he's gonna, you know, it's gonna be a little more special because it's the the f sort of like the final August D and the final J Hope. So if you're lucky enough to be able to get to go, it was it was an awesome, awesome show. I love that show, it's so good. But he was so cute because he did get on Weaverse and say, Yeah, I'm not ready for this at all. Oh my god. Oh no. I think he's just you you know he's kidding. That boy works his butt off.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. And his tour is not as intense as it's gonna be for the combat that we can't wait. We can't wait. I know where the dates there's people putting rumors out there, and I'm like, no, I don't want to hear it. No, no, I know, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It sounds really good, but I don't know, no, no, I don't want to get my hopes up because that's just a rumor. Their official sites have not said any other than all of them have mentioned it. Exactly. Your baby Opa RM got on and was saying, when we tour next year, so we know it's coming. We just don't know when, we don't know where. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

I've been seeing here things here there's like spring of 2026. And I'm like, really?

SPEAKER_00

That seems kind of quick, but it could it could be. I don't know. We need dates. Come hecker high water. We need dates. We need to, you know, gonna take the day off to buy tickets if I can.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, we will. We definitely will. We have to do that. Do you want to mention on this one? My I'll just gonna say because you don't know who I'm gonna talk about, because we're talking about next year's tours.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, oh, oh. I I don't know where my brain went. I was like, do I want to talk about what?

SPEAKER_01

You know what? Yes. Because there's a lot of people in Tokyo that listen to this uh episode. Oh, they like to listen to music elixir. Thank you very much. Arigata.

More On Streaming Pay And Artist Futures

SPEAKER_00

Umashi. Still haven't heard anything. And even on the little family club thing I have, you have to have their membership to view any of the other than generic, you know, the movie thing, movie clip got released. You can't actually view it unless you have the membership. That that so that's all we're seeing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm like, why am I following and you're just giving me clips of like we're doing this? And I'm like, uh, family club only. And I'm like, what? Fam member club only. Why? What happened? What happened, Archie?

SPEAKER_00

I thought you were global. I know, right? What happened during pandemic and leading up to their hiatus? They were like all over the place, everywhere. And I think, well, you know, we know that happened because they had so many plans and everything got just ripped out from under them. So they they were trying to do their best by all the fans worldwide, but now it's sort of closed off again, and we don't know what's going on.

SPEAKER_01

So now it's everything fan club, everything flank fan club, those those little clips over this. And then I'm like, so I just gotta wait to see somebody who translated that and I know what's going on just to see what they were talking about. Okay, so thank you to those orations very much for doing that. You got our backs, the ones cannot really see it. Yeah, um, so November 3rd, they're getting together uh for their anniversary. So hopefully they will say something uh for their comeback next year.

SPEAKER_00

I hope so. We can just keep an eye out. Or an ear out, keep listening.

SPEAKER_01

I have given Sarah a prediction. I'm just gonna say it actually, because I will like to be wrong. Then I'm predicting that Arashi, when it comes back and tour, it will only be in Japan. And maybe they'll stream it for the world. And maybe they'll have this ticket for global fans.

SPEAKER_00

Right. I was gonna say, hopefully, if they do live stream it like they did their final concert, right, that it'll be available to everyone. The bare minimum. Is yeah, right. We hope we can see it that way. Right. Otherwise we have to wait for the Blu-ray. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Oh man. So I know I have dream and Sarah, of course, I've dreamt to see them. I want to see I'm to see them for the first time. That's being a dream. Sarah would like to see them again.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, definitely.

SPEAKER_01

I don't see this happening unless, like, you know, it will be on a stream. And uh, or they will have, hey, come to Japan, have a package, you know, for international fans. Yeah, blah blah.

SPEAKER_00

Some sort of tour setup.

K‑Pop And J‑Pop News Highlights

SPEAKER_01

Bad bunny did that for international fans. There was a package ticket to PR. Yeah. Ah. Yeah, it was really cool. That I was like, ooh. It was ticket to the show. What is it? Ticket to the show. Hotel stay in transportation. Oh wow. Yeah. So it was like, come stay, have, you know, do a show and then, you know, hang out in all St. Juan, you know, kind of thing. And I was like, hey, I like that. I believe it was like$1,500. Oh, that's not bad. That is not bad at all. If you have hotel stay in transportation, and then the concert ticket, yeah, for the show. You know, and of course, depend what, you know, you can pick what kind of you what you want a general admission or you wanted to do VIP, blah blah blah blah blah. So Archie, maybe you could do the same. That's an idea. Yeah. You know, I also heard that the yang is going up soon. Oh, they're gonna be changing some things. I gotta find that article because I just saw it real quick. They're gonna be changing on visas, they're gonna be they're gonna the Sayonera tax is gonna be different. They're gonna increase that as well. Oh wow. Yeah. No. If you would like to do like Bad Bonnie, who is actually going to Japan, why don't you also take that business model for Japan and increase revenue? Good thinking. Good thinking. Yeah. Sarah's like, I don't know. I don't know if I can be able to pay that girl. Well, probably five grand.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, if they do it and it's international and guaranteed we can get in and see the show, yeah. I I'll find a way.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

Hopes And Fears For Big-Name Tours

SPEAKER_00

I did it before, I'll do it again. Yes, you did. I know my passport's up to date, so you know. Mine too. I'm ready. I'm ready. Well, I was gonna say so. Speaking of Arashi though, yeah, there was just a little uh news agency, GG Press. I've never heard of it, but it is in Japanese news agency. Um, show did a press conference because he's releasing a book. Oh nice! Arashi show? Yeah, show Sakarai. Oh, okay. I said speaking of Arashi. Oh, okay, never mind. Sorry, sorry. Because you were telling me about a the other sh another okay, never mind. Go ahead. Did a press conference because he's releasing a book about architecture. I guess he's been sort of doing articles for uh Casa Brutus magazine for the past fifteen years. Nice, and they've grouped all of his little articles together to make a book. Nice. So that's pretty awesome, I think. Sarah will be buying that. I'd check it out. Well, cause I do I'm I like architecture. I'd be willing to see what Sho had to say about various things that he's seen and looked at. Awesome. Yes. So something to look forward to. I had to sort of try and translate some of the the stuff from the GG Press conference because I it was all in Japanese. But that's the the gist of what I got was that he's got the book coming out, and I don't know if it's gonna be one book or more books, but because that's a lot of a lot of time and a lot of uh articles to compile together for just one maybe he picked his favorite buildings and made an explanation of that. That could be so awesome, congratulations, show. And it's so now he's got rapper, singer, songwriter, newscaster, TV show host, author. Yeah. Why not? I wonder if he's gonna do anything with his travel log when he was over the summer he was going around various places doing things. I don't know if that was part of this or if it was something separate, but you know, he was he's been a busy boy for like they went on hiatus and he started working more.

SPEAKER_01

He needs to make money somewhere.

SPEAKER_00

And that's wife and kid. Possibly. Exactly. We only know of one, but exactly.

SPEAKER_01

He has a whole to maintain. He's busy, he's like, I gotta keep myself busy, I gotta do stuff, you know.

SPEAKER_00

And yeah, and he still looks good. And Nino, you sent me a thing of Nino.

Arashi Speculation: Japan-Only And Streaming

SPEAKER_01

Whoa, no. I was just like, What? He looked 25. I know he's aging backwards. I was like, Yeah, one uh one of our Asians sent me that. It's like, oh, look at Nino on this photo shoot. I'm like, what? I could not recognize the man. I'm like, that's not Nino. Was that stuff from his last TV show? It was on uh hold on. I because I I DM you that. I'm like, oh my god, look at Nino! He looks like 25! Wow! I was I was blown away. Yeah. Uh the pictures are from K Style News. Uh, you can find that on X Twitter at K style underscore news. And there is an article there on Nino, and the pictures there are wow, it blew me away. But it's from the film Exit. Uh well, he's talking about Exit 8. So those pictures are actually just from uh the article. Uh okay. So, but oh my god. Actually, you know what?

SPEAKER_00

Didn't they did he have a a picture book come out? Remember, he was talking about would people buy like a photo book of a 40-year-old?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he was talking about that. Oh, there's a lot of um on the pictures that I send you says arena. So I don't know is Oh, is that a magazine? I don't know if that's a magazine or building that he's uh wearing.

SPEAKER_00

I thought it was magazine. I could be wrong. Or it could be both, actually. Nowadays you never can tell. I know.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no. Okay. So Nino Miya's uh photo shoot and interview can be found in November's issue of Arena Home. Oh, okay. So I guess is another magazine. So this magazine is talking about that magazine. Okay, well, you know, look at what we're doing. Look at what we're doing. All right, so but yo, those pictures. Wow, I know, right? Wow, wow. I'm like, wow, Nino Miya. What? This is not Nino, this is Nino Miya. This is the whole name. Just like when Yam Yam gets like really uh Yamada. Yamara. Jeez, yeah, no, I was like, it's crazy. Awesome. Nino that Nino's gonna be continuing his uh acting, acting career, hopefully some solo, more solo albums or maybe, you know, here and there. Because we love his voice.

SPEAKER_00

He's been busy, busy too. Oh yeah, he has kids to feed. I mean June's been b pretty much all of them have been busy. I I think even Ono has. You know, if the if the um rumors are true that he's been like investing in real estate and building resorts or whatever. If it's true, then he's busy because that's not but he's pretty tan.

Travel Packages And Global Fan Access

SPEAKER_01

So I think he looks that well, he's walking his dog. He walks his dog a lot. Yes, he does. I just think he's just like a very happy pet owner. Does his walking, maybe just read the paper, does some drawing at home, you know, goes fishing, comes back in. That's all he does, and that's probably all about what he wants. That's still busy though. Yeah, just different kind of busy. Probably just sits home and I'm like, whatever royalties I get, that's fine. That's what I'm gonna live up. I don't need a big mansion, probably, you know. Don't need big, you know, big things. Just wanna live quietly, probably in an island. I'm surprised he doesn't live in one of those little islands off the coastal Japan. There's like 50 people who live there.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's been rumored, again, rumored, that he he owns, owns one of them. Like he bought an island. Okay, and that's that's what sort of spurred the whole like investing in real estate and building either resorts or condos. Who knows? He's he's become a real estate agent, I guess.

SPEAKER_01

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_00

But it was yeah, a long time well, a long time, maybe like 10, 12 years ago, there were talks that he had bought an island. Cause he's always, always, always been saying, like, I just want to go off and be by myself. I want to be a hermit. I don't want to deal with people anymore. Like I said. And the guys were always like, ah ha ha. And he you could see his face. He was like, I am dead serious, guys. I'm done.

SPEAKER_01

You can live in Puerto Rico. There's you know, little remote places there. You can go live there on them. Just let me know where you end. That's it. I don't tell anybody.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, there's lots of islands he could choose from.

Arashi Members’ Projects And Updates

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. So that's it. My friend, nothing else. I mean, it's been kind of quiet news-wise, that's fine. Uh, just we're just concerned about tours that are coming in. Also, uh, what's the future of what is the tour for RSE? What is the tour for BTS? That's what we're concerned more. I'm not concerned about tours that are coming in. I know. We love shows. We love live shows. I mean, if the only thing available is just a stream, we'll take it, you know. Exactly. We'll invest ourselves in it. You know, we have seen back-to-back streams because that's how we are. Because we can just not get enough from our favorites. So, anyways. I guess, yeah, that's it. Not much news-wise. So, thank you everybody for listening to this ransom rambling. Please rate, review, and share, share, share. Could you please be kind and give us five stars because we love our constellation.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, which one is she? You skipped that one time, remember?

SPEAKER_01

I know. You know, you please be so kind as well to be a subscriber because it'll help us maintain the archive of our podcast.

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_01
