Big feelings, bigger news. We start with pure fandom delight—an anime-inspired artist makeover and a must-have lightstick—before moving through the nuts and bolts of smart show-going: merch game plans, pop-ups, post-show drops, and how a sold-out Boston date changes the strategy for lines, sizes, and travel.

From there, we take on the heavier side of music culture. ONF parts ways with their agency but keeps their name, a hopeful template for groups who want autonomy without losing identity. We examine a label’s public warning against malicious posts and why legal action matters when harassment escalates from critique to threats. The conversation tackles parasocial lines, airport etiquette, and the way clipped videos distort context. A behind-the-scenes series makes it painfully clear how online abuse hits artists and their families, pushing some off platforms completely. Our stance is simple: support who you love, verify what you read, and choose care over clout.

It’s not all storm clouds. We cheer ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon joining the Olympic torch relay and applaud Hwasa’s Good Goodbye sprinting past 100 million YouTube views. We also unpack the abrupt postponement of a major Hong Kong concert just a week out, what that means for ticket holders, artists, and vendors, and why transparency and legal recourse matter. Then we close on a personal high: OK Asia is now syndicated via Pacifica Network, expanding the mission to spotlight Asian music on more stations across the U.S.

Join us for a ride that blends practical tips, current news, and a grounded reminder to keep fandom human. If this resonates, subscribe, share with a fellow fan, and leave a quick review—what’s one boundary the music community should protect better?

Welcome everybody to another episode of Music Elixir with me, Satarshi and Miss DJ Panic. You sounded so Peppy! Yes! Miss DJ Panic.

SPEAKER_01

I have big news.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

I have big, big news.

SPEAKER_02

Awesome.

SPEAKER_01

I'll save it towards the end now. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So everybody has to listen to hear your big news. Yes. Is it like personal level, professional level? It's big news. Oh, come on. A little hand.

Kenty’s Anime Aesthetic And Lightstick Dreams

SPEAKER_01

You have to wait. You have to wait. Okay. Meh meh. Today it's a ransom rambling. Um did you guys check the last episode of music? I hope you did.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was cool. It was good music.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

And we had fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Because my Kenty was on it. But just our usual, you know. Craziness. Shenanigans, as as you like to say.

SPEAKER_01

Speaking of my son Kenty, he is very, very busy. Have you seen his Instagram? OMG. Yes. He's doing appearances. He's doing many shows for other people, entertainment. I'm like, wow.

SPEAKER_02

Plus all of his, you know, uh brand ambassadorships. Yes. Yes. Doing stuff, you know, looking all and his license.

SPEAKER_01

I want that. I want that. He's like, it's like a mix between uh Sailor Moon and uh um oh my god, what is this other anime? Sailor Moon and uh Yo Yo Yu-Gi-Oh! Yu-Gi-Oh!

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I'm like, I'm all for that. I want it. It's baby blue, it has like wings, it has a big old heart. Is the one I want?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, it looked pretty cool.

SPEAKER_01

It also kind of reminds me of um you ever heard of Common Writer?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. So who hasn't?

SPEAKER_01

Some people don't. Some people don't. So Common Writer, they have these uh Bandai have these belts where you put cards in it and it's like and whatever. They make noises and whatnot. So he's like incorporated into that as well, but in Swiss Lystick, and I'm like, hello. I want, I want, I want, I want this. Is so much like everything that I have been following when it comes to anime and stuff like that. Also, also, have you seen his Instagram little bubble? No, I don't think so. He changed it to an anime. Oh, really? I'm like, what? Yes, I'm like, I you know, we have talked about this.

SPEAKER_02

We have talked about this in the past. Oh, yeah. No, we we said he should have done a whole anime thing of Ketty. I'm telling you, he's listening, Kenty. My son, thank you. You're taking my suggestions? What? This is so amazing.

unknown

Thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think didn't they do they did do a little animated thing of him, right? Yeah, yeah, because we talked about it. But it came out after we had talked about it. No, I was like, oh, wait a minute, they did do something.

SPEAKER_01

I know. Now he's developing into that idea. Love.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I just want everything. I was gonna reach out to just uh CD Japan, see if they sell it. They might, yeah. Okay, so I gotta reach out and be like, hey, hi friends.

SPEAKER_02

Because they sometimes, you know, they do that um third-party shopping for merchandise for concerts and all kinds of stuff.

SPEAKER_01

So yes, definitely check it out. I'm not we're not sponsored by C D Japan. No. Um, we hopefully for one, hopefully we do. I need to uh send an email.

SPEAKER_02

Uh but but they're always friendly.

SPEAKER_01

We've had actual personal, you know, like conversations with them. So okay. So so unless my son Kent is listening, we'll like to, you know, send me one or two. One for me, one for you.

SPEAKER_02

You know, add to my lightstick collection.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my I will have a little shrine just for that one because it's my kid, it's my son. I love him so much. All right, we enough, you know. I said to myself, please calm yourself down with Kenny if you do talk about him. No, I can't. It's just I cannot compose. It's just huh. I love him so much. Anyways, so yes, it's a rants and rambling. My announcement will be uh kind of towards the end of this. Alright. Please stay, please, please listen towards the end because it's very ah okay, never mind. Special for me.

SPEAKER_02

Oh special for me. Okay. Alright, so we'll save your news for last, but we'll talk about some new news right now. Okay. Here, wait, I want to add one thing though. Uh-huh. Because on the previous podcast, we were talking about um, I mean, um pre well, yeah. Previously. Rants and ramblings. The previous one.

BTS Foxborough Sellout And Merch Logistics

SPEAKER_01

Well, previous people are like, what other podcasts do you guys have? Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Episode, um, we were talking about the BTS concert, and I was saying how, you know, I was surprised Foxboro hadn't sold out yet as of when the Army pre-sale happened. Because as anyone who's Army knows, like, you know, Vegas sold out, Tampa sold out, Jersey sold out, like, and they were adding dates, but Foxboro on the general sale day sold out. I think in like 45 minutes they said so. So I had randomly said, you know, there's may still be tickets.

SPEAKER_01

There are no release that there will be no.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, we both did that because there was a concert you were talking about that's already happened now, too. That's the problem. Sometimes, you know, we're a little we talk about things just because they pique our interest, and you know, we may miss the mark on timing.

SPEAKER_01

Because we think that we're gonna drop it on the same day, but we're not.

SPEAKER_02

I know. Anyways, we're delulu sometimes, that's all. Yes, but I just I had to add that in there because I I was like, come on, Boston, what's going on? Why are you why are you sitting on this? It showed love. It happened.

SPEAKER_01

And I was like, Yes, I want it to sell that, but no, because I want to get all the merch. I know, right? I want to get all the merch with no issues. I want to have my size, I want all the merch.

SPEAKER_02

They always prepare. They're always preparing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So even if we can't get exactly what we want there, they tend to put it up on their Weaver's shop for sale. So can always, you know, get it after the fact. But we love to be in the We want to be in the French, you know, getting the stuff. Getting the merch. Well, the last time we went though, they had that really organized you they handed you that big menu. Yeah. And you checked off what you wanted and what size and all that. You gave it to them. They put it all in a bag and you paid at the end and walked off with your merch. So I don't know if they'll be able to do that this time. They should though, because that was right, the Met Life.

SPEAKER_01

For gin, they they had the but you but it wasn't one you filled out.

SPEAKER_02

Like the the BTS one, we went to the MetLife. Yeah, it was a menu.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And while you were there, you're just like, Yeah, yeah, pick what you wanted. That was cool.

SPEAKER_02

What we're really hoping for too, though, is a pop-up store. Yes. Because that was cool too. We went into but we had to go into New York though for the pop-up store.

SPEAKER_01

Isn't that messed up? Hey, uh, yeah, Met Lafayette, New Jersey. You gotta go to New York City to get into the pop-up, which it was a different merch than that. You know?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_01

It's like, come on. Really?

SPEAKER_02

But it was cool. It was cool.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was fun, but still. We went into taxis, we went into trains. Trains, I know.

SPEAKER_02

Ubers we were like not planes, trains, and automobiles, but definitely trains and automobiles.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Okay. So anyway, I just wanted to to update everybody.

SPEAKER_01

I'm hoping for Foxboro because they have a patriot a Patriots Mall. Patriot Place mall, yeah, or something. That it will be a place in there, which is outside of the stadium. It's literally walking this. You need to do is walk the the parking lot and it's right there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's kind of new. A long time ago, before it was Gillette Stadium, it was just Foxboro Stadium. And there was nothing out there. Like nothing.

SPEAKER_01

Well, now that the Patriots, okay, now we're getting into you know sports. Now the Patriots are getting so popular, you know, they're for the fans, they be they're having like a like some kind of like amusement park. Not amusement park, but you know, all dedicated to the Patriots.

SPEAKER_02

So well, they they expanded the stadium and renamed it Gillette, and it's yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but looking at it, it's like a little town. Mm-hmm. Pretty much so.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You know, shops and whatnot, restaurants, and there's lots of things to do there. You don't have to go par. Yeah, exactly. So maybe plenty of parking, but and also the train takes you there as we leave.

SPEAKER_02

Um I think it's sort of like the MetLife that the train gets there and you have to, you know, okay walk a little ways to get through the parking lots and stuff.

SPEAKER_01

But it's yeah. When it goes close to it and we do a more deep dive on it, you'll let you know what it's going in this around the area for army that they're not not familiar with the area.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, I I saw already people are organizing like um cup sleeve events and stuff to happen at Foxborough. That's awesome. So, yes, definitely.

SPEAKER_01

Like I love those. I know, right? So much fun. We'll have like different like little photocards. Mm-hmm. Like um, family was like, I don't remember getting this photo card from from Jimin. And I'm like, that's from the cup sleeve that we won in New York. They're like, oh yeah, I forgot about that. Oh, yeah, we'll do another one. They have little like cutesy things that you never will have.

Local Venue Talk And Fan Events At Foxborough

SPEAKER_02

And well, because that it's like fan-made stuff, you know, they mass produce a bunch of stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Speaking of fan-made stuff, give out. Are we going to are you gonna reach out to your friend out there that made the gin shirts that we used?

SPEAKER_02

Is is that person she's she's got stuff in the works. She's gonna be in New Jersey. Okay. I think she's yeah, she's going to Tampa and New Jersey and stuff, but okay. I don't think she'll be up here doing anything in particular, but she always drops new shirts, merchandise, and stuff. So I'll I'll be in touch with her. I just got some stuff from her.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Because is she making like special t-shirts for like the event? Right, yeah. Definitely will like one. Family doesn't want one.

SPEAKER_02

No?

SPEAKER_01

No. They're they're doing their own thing. They they're yeah, they're recreating a look.

SPEAKER_02

Ah, alright.

SPEAKER_01

So I'm like, okay, alright.

SPEAKER_02

Of their bias or just of the general bias. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Cause you know, they did for a while they had like when they all did the tank tops with their name and BTS and the the logo and stuff, and you know, the concept. That's the word I was looking for. I was like, so is she going with a concept or a specific bias look? One of her bias, she's recreating a look. Alright. I'm like, alright. I had thought about it, but I was like, nah, I'm too old for that.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, are you? I'm like, no. I'm actually going what I will do, I will definitely get if if your if your contact is doing that, you know. The shirts definitely will get one of those. And then outlook inspired by maybe this um tour. Yeah, that's or the first BTS, like the 2013 BTS. Well, that's what that's what I was talking about, the tank top things. I was like, I'd look silly. So I'm like, you know, that's what I'm thinking.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, I was I was like, maybe I'll just sort of go with like the color theme inspired tour idea and see where that leads me.

SPEAKER_01

You know, because already we see red and we already see white. So it's summertime. I mean, really don't want to yeah, but yeah, that's wear black, but then you'll be like, oh, exactly. That's what I was saying.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, you know, a lot of their stuff is like based in black. Yeah. No, conducive to that.

SPEAKER_01

Summer in the northern hemisphere is just hot.

SPEAKER_02

I'm already like, maybe I should like start, you know, looking into some new shorts or something.

SPEAKER_01

Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So you do not want to be wearing.

Fan-Made Merch And Concert Outfit Plans

SPEAKER_01

I'm thinking, you know, this just you know, I have one till August. Exactly. So I'd just be looking around and pick stuff up. But anyway. So let's start with some um keep up news. I actually sent you this article earlier this week. Uh, this was uh announced on January 27th. This is about the group ONF. Oh yeah, yeah. So I'm reading this article from Soomy. Uh ONF will be parting ways with WM Entertainment. Uh so on January 27th, WM Entertainment announced the conclusion of ONF's exclusive contract after eight years sharing that the group will continue to promote together under the name ONF. Um, so even though it says that hey, they ended contract for eight years, even it's a new beginning for the group as they're gonna go ahead on their own.

SPEAKER_02

So they're well, and this has happened with a few other groups too.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

They've they've left their company, but they're staying together and doing stuff.

SPEAKER_01

The company have let them kept keep the name so they can continue on their own. So here's a letter from WM Entertainment. I'm gonna read it verbatim. First, we would like to express our gratitude to the many fuse who sent great love and support to ONF. After extensive discussion between the agency and ONF, we have mutually decided to conclude the exclusive contract of as of January 29th. So to we're recording on January 31st, so they're already on their own. Although we reach an end to the path we walked together with ONF for the past eight years, the six members will continue group promotions under the name ONF. Even after the end of the exclusive contract, we will not spare our cooperation and support needed for the group promotions. Uh furthermore, we anticipate the new narratives and brilliant journey ONF will make, and we send our applause and heartfelt gratitude to the members. We hope that Fuse will be together with ONF future act step steps and we will also watch the members accent ascent Yes Rise. Rise with supported heart. We ask for many people to continue interest and love. Thank you. That's awesome. Yeah. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_02

It's strange, there's a lot of that going on. Which is sort of, you know, I guess not surprising. Because just based on what we've been seeing happening within companies, which sort of leads us to maybe the next story we want to talk about. But all these companies taking more of more of an invested interest in certain aspects of what's going on, but also realizing that like sometimes them and an artist are not compatible, which stems from some of these issues going on with companies. So I don't did you want to talk about Mr. Sky High? Go ahead. All right. Now we had actually talked about there was an incident the end of last year, right. 2025 that sort of just blew up everywhere. So what has happened now? BMSG issues a statement regarding malicious posts on their inquiry form. We will take firm action and please have uh sensibly? Uh this is bad translation. It's on Oracon.

SPEAKER_01

Sensibly.

ONF Leaves WM Yet Stays Together

SPEAKER_02

Ah, yes. Behave. Behave sensibly. All right. I'm like, what? This makes no sense. Ugh. It's again, because we have to go from translated stuff so it gets cut off. But anyway, so this is an Oracon article. Sky High updated the official website on the 26th and released a statement regarding their response to malicious posts on their site's inquiry form. They said, currently our contact form is being used as a window for receiving opinions in requests, but we have noticed a spate of malicious posts among the messages sent to this window that go beyond the scope of opinions and requests directed to our artists, trainees, and employees. Citing examples such as libelous and defamatory language, language that violates privacy, and persistent attacks that harm both physically and mentally, criminal intimidation, and obstruction of business. So the company continues, this is an act of using the contact form in a way that significantly deviates from its original purpose and abuses it. Combined with the fact that clearly threatening language has been posted intermittently since last fall, we view this as an extremely serious issue. In order to protect the safety, physical, and mental health and peace of mind of our artists' trainees and related parties, including their families and relatives and employees. And that's something we talked about. You're hurting everyone associated with decisive measures against malicious posts made using the contact form. In cases deemed particularly malicious, we will work with lawyers and other experts to take strict legal action without compromise, including filing criminal charges, requesting disclosure of the sender's information, and seeking damages. We are already working closely with the police and other relevant agencies to identify the posters and preserve evidence. So there's a lot more to this, but they're just basically what they're saying is they don't mind you writing in using the form to send them comments, but they will not tolerate any more bad messages to artists, to the company, to employees, to anyone. And they have it's a long list of things. Yeah. So they're just going to um monitor the current status of malicious posts on their contact form. They have a future response policy. So in order to protect everybody's physical and mental health, they're gonna handle these on a case-by-case. They will be taking league legal action. Their request to everyone, this report is not intended to restrict healthy support or constructive opinions from fans. However, we will continue to take firm stance against any actions that harm the dignity of individuals or threaten their safety. We sincerely ask that everyone support our artists and trainees with sensible behavior.

SPEAKER_01

And uh that was uh released on January twenty sixth.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. So this is yet another company being like, you know what?

SPEAKER_01

We're not we're not taking it anymore. We're not taking your BS, we're not taking your shit anymore. No, we're not exactly no we're not. We have a limit. We have a limit.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you're not just hurting the artist that you're, you know, disappointed in or he's not your favorite, so you feel like you can say anything you want about them. And this is something we've talked about repeatedly for ages now, is just respect the artists. If you're unhappy with what they did or don't like a particular member or s group in the company, just don't like them, leave it. Let it go. Support your artists. Send more positive whatever reports or right comments to them. Put your energy into being supportive of who you feel deserves the support and anyone you don't, just ignore 'em. Exactly. Let it go. 'Cause it's real easy to do. Would you go up to someone in public and just be like, you know, I don't like your face. No, you wouldn't.

SPEAKER_01

Not well, some people might, but but you know, I mean without without any real reason. Question is have this person have this talent personally attack you? Personally offended you? Yeah, exactly. Like I'm sure No. No, right? Have this, you know, talent attack you personally, saying, Hey, you're blah blah blah blah. And then you go and say, Well, so-and-so attacked me personally. I will get that. Right. But these no, these these artists, it's the talent, it's just they're doing a job, they're out there singing, dancing, whatever, acting, whatever they're doing, but then you go into the company and saying, I don't like this, blah, blah, blah, and this and that, and blah, blah, blah, and I hate you. Because I'm sure that's what they say. They say really hurtful things.

Companies Versus Malicious Posts And Legal Action

SPEAKER_02

Well, and also, if all you're basing it on is a a news report that unless it's like a really well-known company reporting on it, like you could be hearing a rumor and taking that as fact and bashing somebody's, you know, personal life and personality based on like this all stems from that report from last year that they were like, it's still being investigated, things are still happening. So like if you don't even know the actual truth about the event, don't just should not be commenting if you don't have all the facts. You know, because there's plenty of sites that are not stretched the truth. They're called news, but they're not really news. They, you know, sensationalize things. Right. Um just because of clickbait. Yeah, so so until you have all of the information and an investigation has been done and everything's laid out in detail, have you can have your opinion. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but you don't get to force your opinion down everybody else's throat, and and it shouldn't be used as a personal attack on these artists, you know. Because things things get misconstrued too. Yeah. You know? All those times when the so-and-so was so mean and said nasty things to their fans and whatever. And I'm like, well, did you notice like in the clip three you know, 30 seconds prior, somebody threw something at him and tripped him? So yeah. Of course he's gonna turn around and be like, What the F are you doing?

SPEAKER_01

Well, sometimes that happens. You know, there's some yeah, you know, the cameras are everywhere, you know, and that like you will say, they're acting and whatnot, or no, they're doing their thing on the stage, and all of a sudden there's this flying water bottle that hits them in their face. Yeah, yeah, I will be pissed, and on stage I'll be like, Hey yo, you freaking a-hole. What the hell's wrong with you? Exactly. What and then of course somebody's recording that and be like, oh my gosh, so-and-so is being mean on stage to a fan. But then they just clip it to the juicy part when they're just going, young one, I'll kick your ass. You know, they don't even do the first like what really happened. Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

And leading to that. I was thinking also of all those times when artists are are landing at an airport somewhere and everybody's swarming them and crowding them. Like, how would you feel? How would you feel if 5,000 people are coming at you with their phones in your face and trying to, you know? I mean, of course you want to try and give something to your faith, but like at the airport while they're traveling is not the time to do it. No. And so, like, you know, they're getting crowded, they're getting shoved, they're getting pushed. Yep. You'd probably also be like, what the hell? Get out of my face. You know what I mean? So you gotta like think about what you're seeing. Because when they're like, Well, at the airport, so and so said to fans, you know, to to back off and get get out and you know, was holding his hand up in front of people's cameras. Well, what the hell? I would too. Get that thing out of my face. So just be sensitive to the fact that you're you're still dealing with people. We say this repeatedly because it obviously needs to be.

SPEAKER_01

They're not things, they're not robots, they're not, you know, they're people just like you and I. If you're stalking them outside their house, expect them to tell you that you're with that being said, um I started watching Timeless Project, you know, the behind the scenes one day, you know, it's a different series for Todd Timeless. Yep. When So it's a new one. Yeah, I want to see the first episode again, but on the first episode, they were talking about like there were some fans that were just being nasty, putting out comments, you know, saying like, oh, I don't like Fuma anymore. I hate him. This is this is this is on the episode they posted on the episode. This is what I'm looking at. Netflix on the boy Fuma is getting they oh my god, this is like, oh, no more sex season. I hate you guys, I don't like this. Oh, and why did you get Tara? Why did you pick him? He's awful. I'm like, I can't believe you putting this on Netflix. Wow. One of the members from Timeless said, I deleted my ex because of the comments that I was receiving. Wow. And uh he felt and I seen on his face, this poor kid was like he felt bad. He felt so rejected. Like he wanted this, and then like all of a sudden it has become real and he couldn't believe of all the hate comments he was getting. I'm like, uh I'm like, well, I'm glad you took X out because X Twitter is toxic. Not that it was better as Twitter, I think it had better control, but now that Elon Musk had taken over X Twitter is a complete shit show, dumpster fired to the max.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah, they seem even though they keep saying that they're gonna monitor, they don't.

Parasocial Lines, Airport Boundaries, And Context

SPEAKER_01

They will, you know, block a like my show, they try to block it because they said I was a bot. And I'm like, I've been around since 2017, boy, and I've been doing it just posting good things about Asian artists. Do you see me like you know, bashing anybody, bashing the government, getting political? No, all about all I do is post about releases, music. What am I playing? No, okay, I can go on and on. So when God I forgot that uh is one of the newer members said that he just deleted X. I'm like, good for you. I'm I'm proud of you. Well, that's you don't need to be on social media. Gotta preserve yourself, you know. Take care of it. But some of the hate against Fuma, I was like, I can't believe that. Oh, you are not. No, no, to anybody, even Shorty and so, like, wow. Dang wow, yeah, you gotta watch this episode. I'll give you a channel. If you have not seen, but no, check it out because I w I want to see the second episode. Oh, and by the way, on our region, the countdown, it's out. Oh, the behind the scenes.

SPEAKER_02

Behind the scenes. Oh, cool. So we can come. So we were part of the the rollout? Yes.

SPEAKER_01

The early rollout on our region here, yes. Sorry to anybody who doesn't have it yet, but we do but hopefully by the time the episode comes out, everybody will be seeing it. And that'll be great because I I want to talk about it. But um, yeah, awesome. Yeah, I'll check it out.

SPEAKER_02

Check out this. Well, I was gonna say, you know, I bet the reason they did that though is to show, you know, you don't always want to show just the perfect happy times going on. So I bet they included all of that stuff to be like, here, here's what's going on. This is what they deal with. Yeah, and this is how they get through it and get past it. They're these kids supporting each other.

SPEAKER_01

They're actually saying, you know, how they felt when they heard that. And actually he said, What I really felt uh I mean, I I did he said I didn't care less what the people were saying, but what really hurt was that my mom and dad of it was affected.

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah, because they're seeing people saying stuff about their kids.

SPEAKER_01

They were affected by these comments, and that really hurt him. So I'm like, see? So your stupid ass comments that you think that you're just targeting, you know, that person is affecting their whole family. Their whole family. Mm-hmm. And their friends, and probably even the other members of the group. I'm glad these companies are going, we're going after you legally. You're gonna be paying this much money for harassing our talent. Mm-hmm. Yay. Yes, definitely. Uh again, this there's a term called parasocial, and there's unfortunately a lot when it comes to fandoms. And uh and that makes me worried and sad for some of these people, you know, that they have to go through that extent to love somebody that they don't know. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

See, because we like so many things, and I mean I definitely I have the favorites that I lean towards, you know, RSH, BTS. Even you know, I love m I love Fuma. So the fact that anybody giving Fuma shit is like Apple's just like wa, are you wa?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no. Fuma's my boy, he's been my boy, and and but I still love Kenty too, even though the group, you know, went their separate ways. Yeah. I love Kenty too. And this is and this is what I'm talking about. We've said this before too. Just because your group, you know, decides to to part ways, people go their separate ways, someone wants to be solo or join a different group, whatever they want to do, form a different group. If you like these artists, you stick with them. Right. And this so this is where the danger of like having like a favorite in the group, but I don't even let that affect me. I'm like, well, whatever, you know. I mean, even look at Arashi. My favorite my favorite is the one who started the whole snowball. But I still love him and I understand. I know what he was, yeah, you know? Yeah, that to me I haven't even gone through it, but I know the immense pressure that he's been under for years. Yeah, you know, so and that's so that's what you've got to think about. These these are people and what they're dealing with. Being an idol, I can't even imagine. Right. People in your face all the time. Everything you do's gotta be perfect. You're in a training room from 6 a.m. to midnight, dancing your butt off, singing your butt. I mean, oh my god, like this is just intense. So cut these people some slack. They're human, they make mistakes. Yeah, they want to live their lives, they wanna, you know.

Timeless Project Backlash And Protecting Mental Health

SPEAKER_01

So if they didn't personally attack you, right. That has no right. I'm not saying not to defend yourself. And if somebody attacks you, but I mean they did if they did it, did they actually attack you?

SPEAKER_02

No, I don't think they say anything to you personally, yeah. Exactly. And as much as we love to be like, we know our faves so well, you don't know. No, you don't. You see what they put out there, that's all exactly. You just see what they put out there. If you haven't been personally introduced and had at least one drink or a dinner with them, you don't know.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_02

And even then, one drink and one dinner do not make it, you know. Uh anyway, all right. We'll we'll stop going on about that, but no, we didn't. Did you have though? Did you have another starto news? I don't think I do.

SPEAKER_01

I thought you did.

SPEAKER_02

I thought there was something.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I wanted to find the actual starto announcement, but there's a blur out there between fans that uh there's gonna be a coupon for uh 1,000 yen um for the family club because of the streaming and on the countdown. Apparently there was a problem with it. But I wanna find I don't want to say anything because I want to find the actual announcement.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I thought I I knew there was something else that was I've been seeing uh blurs from fans.

SPEAKER_01

So uh I'm not gonna go with the blurs from fans. I wanna find the actual announcement from Starto. But let's go up with some happy news because one of the boys from N hyphen. Nope, I click on the wrong thing. Here we go. Hey, there he is. So N hyphen's Sung Yon named Torch Bearer for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. Awesome! Yes, so I'm reading this from Sun P. So on January 24th, B Lif Laugh announced that Song Young or Song Hyun uh will be carrying the Olympic flame during the torch relay for the upcoming Milano Cortina Games. Uh Song Hyun, who was a reserve member of the South Korean national figure skating team prior to his debut, has served as an ambassador for the Korean Sports and Olympic Committee since last year. Oh my god, I didn't know that. That's so cool. Awesome, yeah. Notably, uh, he will only be the second K-pop artist to participate in an overseas Olympic torch relay following BTS Jin. Remember that one? Oh, yep, yep.

SPEAKER_00

Remember that one?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I was like, I was like, wait a minute, he's not the first one. I know Jin did it. Uh so Jin was the torch relay for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. That was like, oh my god, everyone's so cute. So he says, above all else, because I'm well aware of the passion and hard work of the national athletes who have poured their sweat into preparation for this winter Olympics. I'm rooting for them wholeheartedly. Personally, during my days as an athlete, it was my dream to participate in the Olympics. It feels like I have now achieved that dream as a singer, so I'm delighted and honored. Oh my god! That's awesome! He is so sweet, so congratulations to him. This is so cool. I get what can't wait to see him run.

SPEAKER_00

He's like, hey.

SPEAKER_01

So that's cool. No wonder I saw a reel of him skating, and I'm like, Why? And I'm like, wow, this guy is multi-talented, and then now I know why. Yeah, because he was part of the skating team. Oh my god, that's so cool! Figure skating team. Let me just be more specific for that. So congratulations to him. Aww, uh, that's cool.

SPEAKER_02

That's awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. They have another news, my friend.

SPEAKER_02

Um, I don't know. There's a apparently some dream concert 2026 in Hong Kong was postponed indefinitely one week before the show.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna report on that one too. Ah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Artists like uh EXO CBX, which is Chen Beikun and Schumann. I might be saying that wrong. Hwasa was gonna be there, Taman, the boys. Love the boys. Got sevens bam bam and more. So um, yeah, the the dream concert indefinitely postponed on January 31st. So, whoa, that was just today. Today. Wow. Korea Entertainment, this is from Soomy, just so everybody knows. Uh Korea Entertainment Producers Association announced that the upcoming concert had been unilaterally postponed by local Chinese organizers without the consent of the association or the Korean organizers.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-oh. Somebody wanted money somewhere.

Rumors, Clickbait, And Waiting For Facts

SPEAKER_02

Well, or someone dropped the ball. Somebody get paid. KEPA, which is the Korean Entertainment Producers Association, stated that it had made efforts up until the very last moment to have the concert proceed as planned, but they had received a unilateral notice of postponement from the local Chinese organizer without prior discussion or sufficient explanation, leading to a situation where it has become difficult to proceed with the event as scheduled. They say although this decision was not due to the fault of the association or the organizers, we deeply regret the confusion and inconvenience caused to the concert goers, artists, and everyone involved who has been work waiting for the concert, sorry. They're looking into taking legal action over this. Dang. Well, they've made investments and promises to people for appearing and whatnot. So yeah. That's a big Were there any ticket sales? I'm assuming there were ticket sales. Yeah, they don't say any they'll probably be more released about it. This is just the like breaking. It just happened.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. So let's say if there were ticket sales, those need to be reimbursed.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, what's gonna happen to people who were supposed to be in the venue as vendors? I mean, I'm I'm assuming they're gonna be vendors.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Because considering, yeah, it's just just a week before the show. Well, look at what happened with the Wanho.

SPEAKER_01

That what I have no idea who that company was.

SPEAKER_02

And they're like, uh, we're I'm like, but like wow the week before the show was supposed to happen in New York, it got canceled, and we were like, I had just been looking at the tickets and like maybe we should, but Sarah was just like, oh, let's just go for it, you know, and there's like I would say with with just a week before the show happening that there were definitely people bought tickets, people were planning to travel, people were organizing, like you said, vendors and everybody getting their stuff ready. So wow. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. That's another one that we're like, what happened? Exactly. So it's not only happening in the US, the cancellation, also China. Maybe China's alright looking into those cancellations. They're like, Wait, US is doing all these cancellations, do the same. They'll do the same. I'm like, no, don't, don't. That's just crazy.

SPEAKER_02

Definitely.

SPEAKER_01

But what really happened?

SPEAKER_02

But that caught my eye. I was like, Dream concert cancelled one week before. Woo! Yeah, that that's crazy. There may be more coming out about it, but that was all the article said was that it just happened. It's too fresh. Yep. This is a very fresh news. Pointing fingers or blaming anyone yet.

Olympic Torchbearer News For ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon

SPEAKER_01

So anyways, some good news. Uh-huh. Some good news. On January 30th at approximately 9 30 a.m. Korean Standard Time, the music videos for Huasa. Oh yeah. Good Goodbye, starring Park Hyongmin surpasses 100 million views on YouTube. Woo! Meaning that it only took three months, 14 days, and 15 hours to achieve this uh this feat since its release on October 15th of 2025. Congratulations, Wasan! Yeah, oh my god. Come on. It's a pretty hot video, too. You know, and I think that's why. I mean, I've seen a clip here and I'm like, damn, girl. I mean, come on, I'll wassa. I know, right? It's like chip pa pow. Come on.

SPEAKER_02

It's so crazy because just this morning again, I had to one of the cats pulled Wasa's the uh banner. No way that I had pulled it down. I was like, what's Wasa doing on the floor? Just this morning. It was probably Presley. He's he likes to reach up and grab things, but we could care less.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I guess he was probably saying there's something going on with Wassa.

SPEAKER_02

Talk about her here. Well, two things because she was supposed to be part of the dream concert. That guy came back. Oh my god. Okay. And now her video reaches hundred million. So you know the flip side.

SPEAKER_01

Even your cats are telling you things are happening. Here. This gotta be about Wasa. Talk about Wasa. It's been a while. We love our girl Wasa. I can't wait for Mama Moo's comeback. I know. Oh my god. Woo-hoo. Mama Moo coming back. Girl, this year with concerts. Girl. I'm like, what? What else is coming? What else? So Creepy Nuts is coming to New York City. Oh, are they? But it's gonna be on a Monday.

SPEAKER_02

Well, that could be doable. Because I was telling you they they're gonna be part of a Lollapalooza. I don't know. I just saw a Lollapalooza poster and I saw their name in the list of artists. I was like, no way, creepy nuts. They're playing at the Hammerstein Bowlroom. Oh, that's an it's a nice venue. On Monday. As long as it's not in February, because it's in April. Woo. Because I we told you, well, you know, family was with me when we were going to see the last rock stars, and it was like minus 20.

SPEAKER_01

Which it was like the first and last concert for them. It was the only concert for them. Because they broke up, right? Yeah, they did.

SPEAKER_02

Well, they're all off doing their own things again. Yeah. So it all started.

Dream Concert Hong Kong Postponed Indefinitely

SPEAKER_01

He's like, I'm no longer part of the group. And I'm like, yeah, no way. Well, I don't know why. I don't know why. Okay, just me here speculating. But anyways. So they're gonna be playing there on a Monday.

unknown

Excuse me.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we can like I said, we can look into it. Family wants to go because it's also their favorite group. Okay. No, I'd be interested because their music's awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Alright. So I'm just gonna get tickets and then on Tuesday morning I'm gonna be like, I'm sick. I'm going to a concert on on the week before that, but that's here in Amherst. So that's not that's just just right next door. No biggie. Um all right. Alright. So if you want to do that, we'll go tickets for creepy nuts. It could be fun, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

As long as it doesn't we have other stuff going on in April.

SPEAKER_01

Well, this is the thing. We gotta make sure it doesn't clash with April 3rd, which is to Friday, is we're going to see twice at the TD Garden.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then that Monday, the following Monday, I'm going to see that whatever a solo artist here in uh Amherst. And then that Monday that week from that Monday is Creepy Nuts.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Then that that should be fine. That doesn't clash for me.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Okay. Then we have in May Bloodywood, yeah. Which that's another Monday. I know. At least it's in Boston. Not New York. I still gonna be dead. Like, I don't do something. But I do need probably do need to work half a day, right? Just go in late. Yeah. Okay. So all right. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, after one of our last things where I was like, no, I can still go into work the next day. I got into work, I was like, I am useless. Yeah, no, that's the thing. Well, it's we used to be able to drive to New York and back and still go to work. Not anymore. No, I'm beyond that now.

SPEAKER_01

That's why I say it's a Monday, and I'm like, no, it's a Tuesday. What? It's a Wednesday. Are you freaking kidding me? Come on, I can do a Thursday, a Friday. Monday has to be really local.

SPEAKER_02

Very local. Or something really incredible. But yeah, no way.

SPEAKER_01

For BTS, I'm taking the whole week off. Me too. Taking the whole week off. I even told family that they may have to just work early the Tuesday. We'll talk about that later. But, anyways. Announcement! Oh, now you're now you're right. We don't have any more news, right? No. Is that it? No, we're good. Alright, unless something comes up on X Twitter right now and we're like, no, what? Let me see. I'm gonna refresh my account and see what happens. Let's see. No. Okay. Nothing. So I'm proud and happy to announce that I am my actually my program, OK Asia, that is produced by me, is now part of Pacifica Network. Meaning my show is on syndication. Oh, awesome!

unknown

Yay!

SPEAKER_01

That's so cool. So, in other words, there's gonna be radio stations across the United States that is going to play OK Asia. So it's no longer gonna be on Northampton, Massachusetts. I mean, of course, the home is still. Well, I was gonna say it'll still be there, but it's gonna get here, but it's gonna be in other radio stations across US.

SPEAKER_02

Like as um replays, or is it gonna happen live as you're doing it also?

SPEAKER_01

No, no, it's not gonna be live.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so it would be a a replay, like you like your Monday.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so I have uh rebroadcast on Monday. Yeah, that's what I'm trying to do. So the program that I will for that week, it then will be picked up by another radio station and then we'll put it in the roster. Alright, cool. That's awesome. Congratulations.
